    June 496 X 263 June 10_002.jpg

Eden Haiku: A shamanic outfit :)

Adams Rubble: hmmm, yes, I bleed green

Adams Rubble: sorry Eden, you would not have gotten that line

    Eden Haiku: American inside jokes

    Adams Rubble is from Philadelphia

Riddle Sideways: speell checker is Not helping with heavy cape on shoulders to floor

Riddle Sideways: clock, cloat, cloot, cloach

Eden Haiku: I'm so awkward with a trackpad. I just wanted to extinguish the fire in the wood stove of my yurt (it's almost 90 F here) . Ended up deleting the fire screen. Found it it lost objects and now it's floating around...

Eden Haiku: As long as it doesn'tgo underground....

    Adams Rubble: :)

Eden Haiku: Ah! clock/cloak I get it :)

    Adams Rubble: Eagle, Iggle

    Adams Rubble: :)

    Eden Haiku: laughs

Riddle Sideways: Tech now has lots of Auto-miscomplete features for us

Eden Haiku: Not feeling medieval anymore Adams?

Adams Rubble: time for the Iggles

Eden Haiku: Auto-miscomplete is a great term Riddle!

    They often sound that way

Riddle Sideways: was 85F yesterday morning when leaving for inland hotter areas

    Adams Rubble: oh my

Riddle Sideways: Nobody there would look at a termometer

    Riddle Sideways: for fear

Adams Rubble: do they have air conditioning in the inland hotter areas?

Eden Haiku: Leonard Cohen wrote The Tower of Song, but we are scripting "The Tower of Babble"

Riddle Sideways: the house there did, but the hoard of people at party were outside

Riddle Sideways: guitar player was dizzy and would not play until cooler

Eden Haiku: Climate emergency issues of guitar players claiming cool temperatures

    Riddle Sideways: yes

Eden Haiku: Lilacs didn't last, they are withering already...

Eden Haiku: And they appeared so late.

Eden Haiku: We were still almost in winter a while ago

Adams Rubble: it seemed all the Spring flowers had a short life this Spring although they were spectacular while they lasted

    Eden Haiku: Cooler outfit Adams?

    June 496 X 263 June 10_003.jpg

    --BELL--

    They often sound that way

Adams Rubble is wary of what happened to guitar player

Eden Haiku: Me too, listening :)

Riddle Sideways: sent him into nearby house for bathroom and he found A.C so did not come back for about a half hour

    Adams Rubble: smart guitar player

    Eden Haiku: smart, yes!

Adams Rubble: Californians used to spending time outside

    Riddle Sideways: some

Adams Rubble: Here the mosquitoes and ticks lurking outside

Riddle Sideways: he is an optometrist, works inside all day

    Adams Rubble: ohhh

Eden Haiku: Unusual weather everywhere. In Finland, near the Artic circle, they had almost 90 degrees last week...

Eden Haiku: Mosquitoes are lurking yes, for our fresh blood...

Riddle Sideways: Of course the usual thing happened. When it is 103F, the old timers will start ... "Welllll, back in 07 we had that 117F for 123 days"

Riddle Sideways: and everybody feels better/cooler

Eden Haiku: No! 117F for 123 days????

Riddle Sideways: no, but they often sound that way

    Eden Haiku: That's proper inferno!

    Eden Haiku: Phewww!

Riddle Sideways: there was a day that hit 117

    Eden Haiku: That's hot!

    Adams Rubble: that's a dry 117 though isn't it

Eden Haiku: Our bodies have trouble adapting to these weather highs and lows, quite sudden sometimes...

Riddle Sideways: remember driving (with A/C on) and watching the outside termometer while going south

Riddle Sideways: yep, body has trouble adapting

Riddle Sideways: heard something about Lake Ontario shoreline is putting up sandbags/etc. against raising levels

Adams Rubble: When it gets hot, need to sit back with a cold drink and read "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof"

Adams Rubble: Great Lakes has TOO MUCH water

Adams Rubble: all the people moved to California and there is no one there to drink it now

Riddle Sideways: a Mint Julep and a book

    Riddle Sideways:

Riddle Sideways: is an issue that richer people own the nice shoreline houses

A woman sobbing at a Native Ceremony

Eden Haiku: Went to a Native Indians ceremony on Saturday. (We call them First Nations up here). There was a Mayan woman shaman who sang a water song for all the disappeared indigenous women and one woman started to sob. It was heart-wrenching,

Adams Rubble: the more money the rich have, the more they tear down some of the great architecture of the country to build something bigger

    --BELL--

Riddle Sideways: thank you both, but that pause was sad, hard

Eden Haiku: Wondering how to drag out my fire screen from the water of the fountain :(

    Eden Haiku: Yes sad, Riddle.

Riddle Sideways: in the name of Religion and Golf courses ... the lesser have to be removed

Adams Rubble: I might be able to return it to you if you would like me to try

    Adams Rubble: whoops, brb

    Eden Haiku: ok Adams :0

Eden Haiku: Please, when you come back :)

Riddle Sideways: don't see the object, think you are 'Wearing' it

    Eden Haiku: Ah!

    Riddle Sideways: try inventory->Current Outfit

    Riddle Sideways: and detach

Riddle Sideways: yes, it is moving with you like it is worn

Eden Haiku: Was, on my right hand, thanks

Eden Haiku: Thank you Riddle :)

Riddle Sideways: after all these years, might have learned a small thing

Eden Haiku: Lucky you. I seem to have lost the few minimal skills I developed in the first year ...

Adams Rubble: it is very wet outside here

Riddle Sideways: years ago had laptop trackpad issues while typing

Riddle Sideways: and fixed it someplace in Windows

Riddle Sideways: now laptop is a Linux OS

Riddle Sideways: and has the same issue again

Eden Haiku: Will try to hook up my Mighty Mouse to this laptop, otherwise, with only a trackpad, every action is sooo difficult

Adams Rubble: I recently read about indigenous women disappearing in Canada. Do they know what exactly is happening?

Eden Haiku: No jack for ordinary mouse on this laptop and Mighty Mouse is an old one...

Riddle Sideways: have been hearing those stories also, Adams

Riddle Sideways: but not sure what time periods are being talked

Riddle Sideways: current or historical or both

Adams Rubble: I had the idea it is now

Eden Haiku: The dissapeareances are so distressing Adams. Thousands of them on a span of 20 or 30 years. Mostly killed by their companions, brothers, fathers, police officers. The killers go unpunished. They have been calling this "a genocide",

Eden Haiku: Both historical and now.

    --BELL--

    A rough session

    Adams Rubble: this is incredible

Eden Haiku: The way we treat indigenous is appalling. No clean water, no resources. They can 't hunt anymore, they can't go fishing anymore. They live in dilapidated houses.

Riddle Sideways: oh dear, googleing that gives so many and very bad stories

Eden Haiku: Whole villages without electricity even. Which is abundant here...

Adams Rubble: this is very upsetting

Adams Rubble: can not believe this is happening in Canada

Eden Haiku: It's a real deep issue, muddy waters. It started with the Indian Law [It's called The Indian Act rather  and dates back to 1876] to  by John MacDonald, early 20th century [Well not exactly, but: "Macdonald's federal and provinial  administrations used coercive methods to brings aborioginals onto reserves"http://www.biographi.ca/en/theme_macdonald.html?p=22]

    Eden Haiku: Racism

Riddle Sideways: happens in US also, but no Inquiry

Riddle Sideways: at least Canada labeled it Genocide and is talking about it

Riddle Sideways: have a government Inquiry

Riddle Sideways: the US Open Golf tournament is starting here, on land of the indigenous people killed so long ago by that now saint

Eden Haiku: Yes. Was looking for a link but there is a lot of propaganda laced with everything I find. Sir John MacDonald declared Canada had "to kill the Indian in the child" voted the Indian Law [Act] so that Natives were taken away from their family, forced to learn English (French in Quebec) and never allowed to speak their native languages.

Adams Rubble: The US had Indian schools too

Adams Rubble: forced children away from culture

Riddle Sideways: Isn't Genocide one of those things that happens way of the 'There'

    Riddle Sideways: not here

    Riddle Sideways: not us

Eden Haiku: This seems like a reliable source: https://www.ictinc.ca/blog/10-quotes...-first-nations

Eden Haiku: The use of the word genocide is quite controversial. It's more ordinary racism from governments, ill treatments and so on

    --BELL--

Eden Haiku: There few genocides; The Shoah, Armenian genocide, Rwanda...

Eden Haiku: But this is "a kind" of genocide. Feminicide really.

    Riddle Sideways: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Missin...digenous_women

Eden Haiku: Like for the women of Ciudad Juarez

Eden Haiku: Thank you Riddle. The article seems very up to date., The report of the commission happened only a few days ago.

Riddle Sideways: have an Inquiry, Commision and Report ! ok done

Eden Haiku: And then, do nothing...

    Riddle Sideways: so sad

Eden Haiku: Not even clean drinkable water

    Eden Haiku: Not even electricity

    Eden Haiku: No jobs

    Eden Haiku: No money

    Eden Haiku: No activities

    Eden Haiku: Nothing to do

    Eden Haiku: Except drugs

    Eden Haiku: And alcohol

    Eden Haiku: Raping and killing

Eden Haiku: Being left alone by the police

Eden Haiku: The police doing a lot of raping too and killing

Riddle Sideways: Well, they had a piece of paper once. it took the fertile rich land away for 99 years for $1

Eden Haiku: The missiionnaries as well

Riddle Sideways: then another piece of paper took that away

    Eden Haiku: Yep!

Eden Haiku: heavy Monday morning, sorry guys :(

Riddle Sideways: Like the entire South Florida, including Miami, including Maralockgo Trump Golferia

    Eden Haiku: ah yes ;(

Adams Rubble: Sigh, this has been a rough session :(

Riddle Sideways: there should be rough sessions

Eden Haiku: Yes, been rough....No idea it would turn out like that

Eden Haiku: We have to go back to our solar selves

Eden Haiku: To the level we can DO something

    Eden Haiku: Be kind

    Eden Haiku: Be gentle

    Eden Haiku: Be aware

    Eden Haiku: Act consciously

Adams Rubble: yes, we need to get back there

    Riddle Sideways: BE

Adams Rubble: thank you for the discussion. bye for now

Eden Haiku: Bye Adams, wishing you a sweet day :)

Riddle Sideways: by All and Thank you

Eden Haiku: Bye Riddle :) Thank you friends :)
