    She died peacefully

Riddle Sideways: Welcome back to SL, Eden

    —BELL--

Riddle Sideways: choice your seat carefully

Riddle Sideways: it will be your seat for the remainder of the flight

    Riddle Sideways: or maybe not

Riddle Sideways: very nice and colorful outfit today

    Riddle Sideways: howdee Adams

Riddle Sideways: waiting for Eden to select the exact right pillow

Eden Haiku: Riddle, Adams! Good morning!

    Riddle Sideways: poof, lost Adams

    Eden Haiku: poof, indeed ...

Riddle Sideways: hope all is ok

    Eden Haiku: Hope so too...

Riddle Sideways: and with you. you've been gone a couple weeks

Eden Haiku: Yes, sorry about that. It was such an exacting time, I had barely time to let you know I was going to be missing a few sessions.

Riddle Sideways: got that email, thanks

Eden Haiku: We were in the process of moving to the summer house, when my companion's mother fell very sick,

Eden Haiku: We were being with her around the clock, in 6 hours shifts for just a few days

Riddle Sideways: welcome back, leaping Adams

    Riddle Sideways: whoops, non-leaping

Eden Haiku: Ah! welcome back Adams!

Adams Rubble: thanks, Good morning Eden and Riddle :)

Riddle Sideways: had the sentence typed and ready

Riddle Sideways: Eden you live too exciting a life

Eden Haiku: I was telling Riddle what happened in the last two weeks.

Adams Rubble: very sorry for your loss

Eden Haiku: Thanks Adams. On Friday she was mostly sleeping, on Saturday she was awake and chatting, smiling, genial with her visitors. She even sang with us at night.

    Riddle Sideways: great

Eden Haiku: On Sunday morning she was sent in a special unit for dying people. In French it's called ¨palliative:...

Eden Haiku: She died peacefully Monday at 14h14, with most of us surrounding her

    —BELL—

    One never knows

Adams Rubble: did she suffer much?

Eden Haiku: She didn't suffer at all, thankfully.

Riddle Sideways: a good way to go, but still hard on those left behind

Eden Haiku: And she wasn't afraid of death she told my sister-in-law who's been taking great care of her Mom in the last years

Adams Rubble: that's always a relief

    Eden Haiku: Yes

Eden Haiku: Still a shock though, on Mother's Day she was drinking rosé sparkling wine

    Adams Rubble nods

Eden Haiku: We saw her at my sister-in-law, she was fine, as usual

Eden Haiku: And the Sunday before her death we visited, she was somewhat less talkative but otherwise...

    Adams Rubble: one never knows

Adams Rubble: my mother died in a car accident--we had a nice visit with her the week before

Adams Rubble: I had a phone conversation with her before she went out in the car and she wanted us to come down and visit

Eden Haiku: My companion is still feeling unsettled. Losing a close one and moving are two extreme stresses....Everything came at the same time....

    Adams Rubble nods

Eden Haiku: Oh no. Adams, that is terrible!

Eden Haiku: Was she still young when it happened?

Adams Rubble: we were relieved no one else was involved-she hit a tree

    Eden Haiku: So sad....

    Adams Rubble: she wasn't young

Adams Rubble: she was one her way to a garden she loved

Adams Rubble:she was doing what she wanted to do

Eden Haiku: Still...sad to lose her this way...

Eden Haiku: One never knows as you said Adams...

Adams Rubble: my father suffered for a long time and then went down hill very fast

Eden Haiku: Hard for him, yes...

Adams Rubble: we knew he was dying but surprised when it happened

    Riddle Sideways: yep

Riddle Sideways: each in their own way

    Adams Rubble: yes

Adams Rubble: we need to be ready at all times

Eden Haiku: We are the next generation who has to leave...

Adams Rubble: get ourselves ready to let go

Eden Haiku: Better be grateful for our days :)

    Adams Rubble: yes Eden :)

    Riddle Sideways: yes

Deers and a time tax of 1%

Eden Haiku: The deers are back :)

    Adams Rubble:we can't rock 'n roll forever :)

    Eden Haiku: Nope

Riddle Sideways: wha!!! Long Live Rock

Adams Rubble: rock 'n roll can rock without us :)

Riddle Sideways: that was the next topic. how are the deer and the rock

Eden Haiku: Yes, finally visited the rock three days ago Riddle

Eden Haiku: Rock murmured sweet nonsense :)

Riddle Sideways: Ah, the sweet wisdom of the stone folk

Eden Haiku: Funeral was Monday, we arrived here on Tuesday night., Exhausted.

Riddle Sideways: so, you can relax in the country

Eden Haiku: So much more air up here. It feels good!

    Adams Rubble: brb

Eden Haiku: What about you guys? What happened during the hiatus?

    —BELL--

Riddle Sideways: oh we just sat and stared at the fountain

    Riddle Sideways: a little complaining

Eden Haiku: smiles at funny Riddle

    Riddle Sideways: a little nonsense

Eden Haiku: you make me laugh

Riddle Sideways: that is the point

Eden Haiku: and a little guilty: I didn't read any session....

    Adams Rubble: back

Riddle Sideways: the thing about the wiki is they are still there for the reading whenever

    Adams Rubble: uh oh

    Riddle Sideways: uh oh?

Eden Haiku: I kind of remember that stopping for 9 seconds every fifteen minutes is a time "tax" of 1% is it?

    Adams Rubble: yes

Adams Rubble: the Republicans want to take it down to 4.5 seconds

    Adams Rubble giggles

Eden Haiku: I read somewhere on Twitter that 1% of our day is 14 minutes 27 seconds.

    Adams Rubble: hmmmm

Who ever thought we would miss George W

Eden Haiku: Iowa elections these days?

Adams Rubble: not until next year

Adams Rubble: we start early in US which is why we get such great results

Eden Haiku: Oh but politicians already making the rounds...

Riddle Sideways: now Adams makes us laugh

    Adams Rubble: you betcha

    Eden Haiku: smiles at Adams

Adams Rubble: that is so we can be sick of them by the time the election comes around

    Eden Haiku: hehe

Adams Rubble: back in the old days the presidential candidates never campaigned

    Eden Haiku: no?

Adams Rubble: so it was a surprise when they took office

Adams Rubble: people campaigned for them

    Eden Haiku: I see...

Adams Rubble: distributed gallons of whisky to the would be voters before they cast their ballot

Riddle Sideways: few years ago there were 18+ candidates that got whittled down to the (best?) one

    Eden Haiku: laughs

Adams Rubble: the party that had the best whiskey got the most votes

    Eden Haiku: smiles

Adams Rubble is exaggerating that last part--only happened in some places

Eden Haiku: But now the worst candidates are teetotaler: Trump, and Bush before him...

Riddle Sideways: so, a law got passed that bars have to be closed on election day

Eden Haiku: I know Adams, you are being your exaggerating self when you clown around :)

    Adams Rubble: https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikiped...y_Election.jpg

    Eden Haiku: Wow Adams!

Riddle Sideways: Ah, remembering that painting

Adams Rubble: Bush was a drunk before his wife's ultimatum and has not looked all that sober at some of the public events

    —BELL--

    Eden Haiku: Ah!!!

Riddle Sideways: he use to mess phrases/quotes up like he might be drunk

    Riddle Sideways: +up

Eden Haiku: I still remember his "Go shopping!" profound advice after 911....

Eden Haiku: And Trump is certainly high on a powerful drug cocktail...Riddle Sideways: and his "fool me once, I'm fooled, Fool me twice, I'm fooled again" or something like that

    Eden Haiku: ;)

Adams Rubble: fool me twice and I'm a fool

Adams Rubble: George Bush is looking mighty good these days

Adams Rubble: no worse than the fifth worse president

Eden Haiku: Yep, in comparison, he was brilliant :)))

    Adams Rubble: wellllllll

Adams Rubble: he displayed some decency at times

Eden Haiku: No light subjects for us this morning :)

Riddle Sideways: who ever thought we would miss George W

Riddle Sideways: and he would look so good

    Eden Haiku: who ever thought...

Adams Rubble: paving the way for Jeb

    Skunk, wild turkeys and vultures

Riddle Sideways: In other News of nature around here (a story)

Riddle Sideways: Both the last Thursday nights have come home late and smelled skunk. then in morning no lingering smell.

Riddle Sideways: Saturday, noted a dark something in the meadow.

Eden Haiku: listening to wild turkeys stories :)

    Adams Rubble: fox?

Riddle Sideways: Then a vulture flew down and started picking at it. The skunk smell come back. Then the buzzard flew off with it to come other place.

    Eden Haiku: oh!

    Adams Rubble: ohhhh

    Eden Haiku: a corpse?

    Eden Haiku: a road kill?

Riddle Sideways: yep, just some fur

    Riddle Sideways: must have been

Eden Haiku: Saw a road kill too, down the road. A tiny squirrel...

Riddle Sideways: Turkey vultures look amazing like turkeys

Adams Rubble: thank goodness for turkey vultures

    Eden Haiku: Turkey vultures????

Riddle Sideways: yes, see them soaring around the skies

    Adams Rubble: soaring

Eden Haiku: Vultures which feed on dead wild turkeys?

    Riddle Sideways: ty

    Adams Rubble: interesting typo

    Riddle Sideways:

Adams Rubble: turkey vultures clean up the dead animals

Eden Haiku: To sour the skies...

Riddle Sideways: yep, nature's cleanup crew

Adams Rubble: don’t care if it is a skunk

Adams Rubble: the DPW of the skies

    Adams Rubble: unsouring the landscape

    Riddle Sideways: love typos

    Eden Haiku: applauds

Riddle Sideways: Been trying not to type "Pointless", for that would be the third reference to Harry Nilssen's "The Point" this morning.

    —BELL—

    Stress can be dizzying

Eden Haiku: :) That 90 seconds pause felt real good.

    Adams Rubble: :)

Eden Haiku: Thank you Adams :)

Adams Rubble: I must go. I hope you both have wonderful days

    Riddle Sideways: thanks Adams

Adams Rubble: Thank you for hosting Eden

Adams Rubble: bye for now :)

    Eden Haiku: Bfn

Eden Haiku: Been bringing my companion

Riddle Sideways: soon should get the garbage and recycling out. Overfeed the cans this weekend

Eden Haiku: breakfast in bed these days. He feels dizzy...

    Riddle Sideways: oh nice

Riddle Sideways: stress can be dizzying

Eden Haiku: He seems to be feeling better today.

Eden Haiku: Yes, stress I think. Having to adapt to life in the country house also. Not planning his Mom's visit this summer...

Eden Haiku: Did you have visitors over the week-end Riddle?

    Eden Haiku: Lots of recycling...

Riddle Sideways: no visitors, had to tackle the last way back corner of a storage closet understairs area

    Eden Haiku: Ah! Yes...

Riddle Sideways: the place all shoe boxes and gift boxes and boxes and cardboard were

Riddle Sideways: and nests for mice

Eden Haiku: I'm going to bring breakfast scrap to the organic compost bin :)

    Riddle Sideways: yummm

Eden Haiku: Ah, boxes, yes. I love them too but at some point they take over...

Riddle Sideways: they had taken over

Eden Haiku: Orange and grapefruit peel.

Eden Haiku: Wishing you a great day Riddle :)
