Riddle Sideways: was trying to think what might have upset you in that one
Adams Rubble: hehe, I forget now
Adams Rubble: I think it was the polarization
    Riddle Sideways: ha
    Adams Rubble: people feeling victimhood
Adams Rubble: when they are not victims except for their own narrow boxes they have created for themselves
Riddle Sideways: hmmm, don't remember hearing that
Adams Rubble: but I am not sure that is what it is. Seems sages ago now :)

Adams Rubble: somebody said that appalacia people's ancestors came over on the Mayflower which is false
Adams Rubble: came over in the 18th century
Adams Rubble: scotch irish were definetely not on Mayflower
Adams Rubble: people make up their own history
Adams Rubble: implied that their music had been tarnished by all the people who came after
Adams Rubble: african-americans were here before them :)
Adams Rubble: something along those lines
Riddle Sideways: many of those statements were in earilier episodes
Adams Rubble slaps herself on the head
Riddle Sideways: how the darn kids are tarnishing our go music
    Riddle Sideways: *good
Adams Rubble: go go music :)
    Riddle Sideways: good ol' music

    Riddle Sideways: nope
Riddle Sideways: the News listener of this house is visiting NY this week
Adams Rubble: he had an operation and did not survive
Adams Rubble: he was only 68
    Adams Rubble: will be missed
    Riddle Sideways: reading headlines now
Riddle Sideways: how can people only 68 be dying?
Riddle Sideways: Thump said some good things about him
Adams Rubble: I did not see that
    Adams Rubble: that will change
Adams Rubble: somebody wrote it for him probably
Riddle Sideways: sorry, got distracted by a text
Riddle Sideways: a week ago asked daughter to do something.
Riddle Sideways: she just sent a picture of her todo list paper with lots and lots of to-dos in small print
Riddle Sideways: showing that it is on there
    Adams Rubble: :)
    --BELL--
Riddle Sideways: he was the chair of the important 'Oversight' committee
    Adams Rubble: yes
Adams Rubble: he was a forceful defender of Hillary during the Benghazi hearings
Riddle Sideways: hmmmm, country still needs him :(
    Adams Rubble: yes
Riddle Sideways: Have you heard of the play "Slave Pl;ay"
    Adams Rubble: no
Riddle Sideways: they saw it yesterday
    Riddle Sideways: very powerful,
    Riddle Sideways: new on Broadway
Riddle Sideways: has been off-Broadway for a while
Riddle Sideways: talked on phone a long time last night about how thoughtful and thought producing it was
Riddle Sideways: a lot of 'huh, not thought of it that way'
Adams Rubble thinking of memories of late night talking on the phone
Adams Rubble will look up the play
Riddle Sideways: yes, better to search it. there are lots of reviews
Riddle Sideways: from many sides or points
Riddle Sideways: very adult material, so it won't be a tv movie for a long time
    --BELL--
Riddle Sideways: hmmm, did not hear the end bell
    Adams Rubble: ")
Riddle Sideways: reading many Cummings' quotes and stories
Riddle Sideways: long long list of very good things he got done
    Adams Rubble nods
Adams Rubble: for some reason that made Leonard's Cohen's line "Ring the Bells that still can ring" pop into my head with a new meaning
    Riddle Sideways: hmmm
Riddle Sideways: during services last week, the cantor use Leonard Cohen's tune for Hallelujah, instead of the traditional tune
    Riddle Sideways: was very nice
Riddle Sideways: and also there was an extra reading page with "who shall I say is calling", which Rabbi read aloud
Adams Rubble: This appeared on FB this morning stating that it is used as a meditation before Kaddish in a Reform Jewish service:
    Adams Rubble:

    Epitaph - By Merrit Malloy

When I die Give what’s left of me away
To children And old men that wait to die.
And if you need to cry,
Cry for your brother Walking the street beside you.
And when you need me, Put your arms Around anyone
And give them What you need to give to me.

I want to leave you something,
Something better Than words Or sounds.
Look for me In the people I’ve known Or loved,
And if you cannot give me away,
At least let me live on in your eyes And not your mind.

You can love me most By letting Hands touch hands,
By letting bodies touch bodies, And by letting go
Of children That need to be free.
    Love doesn’t die, People do.
So, when all that’s left of me Is love,
    Give me away.

    --BELL--
Adams Rubble: I need to leave you abruptly this morning. Have a small window to get to the computer repair store. It's on my "to do" list :)
Riddle Sideways: Yes! we read that many times
    Riddle Sideways: love that poem
Adams Rubble: it was the first time I heard it this morning
Riddle Sideways: ok, thanks for this morning
    Riddle Sideways: thank you
Adams Rubble: thank you Riddle. I hope you have a good day and weekend
Riddle Sideways: and have a good computer repair shop visit :))
Adams Rubble: the computer in question has a serious hardware problem. Maybe the processor
    Adams Rubble: not backed up
    Riddle Sideways: oh dear
    Adams Rubble: :(
Adams Rubble: bye for now :)
    Adams Rubble waves
