Adams Rubble: The Play as Being website indicates that your first session as a guardian was 3/10/2009. How and when did you find Play as Being?

Michorod Renard: Finding SL was a complex story, interesting but long too. Once on SL I soon found I needed to use the platform for useful purpose and chose to attend Philosophy meetings/classes. Here I met someone who has become a long term friend and she invited me along to PAB after she had been invited to attend.

Adams Rubble: What attracted you to keep coming to Play as Being?

Michorod Renard: Initially I would say I was naïve and took a while to develop myself into someone who appreciated the ethos behind PaB. However during that time I became part of 'the family' and felt that if I left especially after the loss of several founding members, it would be another dismantling action. I didn't want to feel I had contributed to its collapse as that would have been a great loss. Following this I have found the subjects we explore to be interesting and perhaps unique in the way we discuss them. I feel comfortable giving my views and opinions and we are respectful of each other.

Adams Rubble: Thank you for such an honest answer about your feelings at the time when many people were leaving Play as Being. To be honest, I guess I had similar feelings about not wanting to add to the exodus. The emphasis on respect for everyone's speech was a nice legacy that Pema left us.

Adams Rubble: You have been in PaB almost from the beginning, and have been active in the last couple of years organizing the book readings with Eliza, so I would be remiss not to ask you how PaB has changed for in your eyes.

Michorod Renard: I would say that's a tricky one to answer. We have all developed along the way in our approach during sessions. Perhaps Pab has changed in so much as we do not have guidance from specialists but we explore amongst ourselves some of the materials we choose to look into or subjects we choose to discuss. I feel many of us discover much merely by asking the question and finding we find our own answer but also find others have the same question and similar ideas.

Adams Rubble: What are your memories of the Kira Workshops?

Michorod Renard: I have fond memories of the workshops. I enjoyed Stim's presence and he ,I suspect without knowing, has influenced me tremendously. He also gave me the tool to stop smoking after 45 years of filling my lungs. His words also reminds me to love myself and much more. Pema's phenomology I was like a child but now I get it.. It took some sinking in but again quite life changing. Maxine's dreams, always a favorite and sadly missed.

Adams Rubble: Paralleling your activity in Play as Being has been your participation in The Philosophy Class.
Can you tell us a bit abut that group?

Michorod Renard: I stopped attending the philosophy class a few years ago. It was good for me as I had no clue what philosophy was and now at least I have a basic understanding. The obvious find for most beginers is that one thinks you find the answers but philosophy actually gives you more questions. However, with more questions you see more options which is not a bad thing.

Adams Rubble: How has the Philosophy Class influenced your contributions to PaB or vice versa?

Michorod Renard: I think Philo Class did help me have a slightly less rigid opinion about things which may have helped me be more open to new ideas in PaB, visa versa..no

Adams Rubble: Pierre Teilhard de Chardin said, “We are not human beings having a spiritual experience. We are spiritual beings having a human experience.”  Would you care to comment?

Michorod Renard: I think that needs a good deal of pondering over. If I was forced to give an off the shelf answer I would say I personally dip in and out of both views. Sometimes I am not even human and more animal..other times I am out of my body.

Adams Rubble: Are there any questions that you would have asked yourself that I missed?

Michorod Renard: I may have asked where do I see future development of PaB going but I would be hard pushed to answer my own question,,but I do ask myself where it may end
