Working Group Minutes - June 20, 2012
Attending: stevenaia, Bleu, boxy, Aphrodite, and Bruce
1. The Art of Being in Motion Project.
Action: Everyone who wishes do so is encouraged to post photos of the Dome exhibits and/or photos of the June 3rd gathering in the wiki [here]:
https://wiki.playasbeing.org/Events/PaB_Art/2012.06.03_-_ART_OF_BEING_IN_MOTION
Bleu will send out another notice inviting folks to contribute their photos.
2. Non-recorded sessions (not "logged" and not published in the wiki) - in addition to the regular Pavilion sessions.
Action: Announce at each guardians' meeting (once every two weeks) the venue and times for non-recorded sessions during the up-coming two weeks. [The Dome, 5 Bells, and individual guardian plots were all suggested as possible meeting places.] The Friends of PaB would also be invited. Thursdays at noon was suggested as a regular meeting time for this gathering, although this could change every two weeks.
3. Nomination of new guardians.
Action: We have one person nominated. A designated working group member will send an email to all guardians with that individual's name. Here's a reminder of the process:
a. A guardian candidate is nominated at a guardians' meeting. That individual's name is then emailed to all guardians.
b. We give it a week to settle. If anyone has reservations regarding the nominee, this is the time to express them.
b1. If there is no consensus on the nominee, we give it 2 weeks to resolve
b2. If resolved within 2 weeks, go to b (give it a week to settle).
b3. if not resolved, the nomination is declined.
c. In a week, if no reservations have been expressed, the individual is invited to become a guardian and, if she/he accepts/declines the invitation, that announcement is emailed to all guardians.
4. The on-going discussion of a Creative Commons Licenses.
Action: Everyone who is concerned about copyrights and/or the granting of creative commons licenses is strongly encouraged to read this: http://fairuse.stanford.edu/Copyright_and_Fair_Use_Overview/chapter0/0-c.html
We need to determine who currently holds the copyright on all material (words, books, videos, recordings, etc.) that appear in Kira and Play-as-Being wiki's. Only a copyright owner can grant a creative commons license. If the current copyright is owned by ALL members of Kira and PaB, then each of us (both current and past contributors) needs to give approval for the creative commons license. (Discussion to be continued...)
