Solar eclipse
Eden Haiku: Welcome Riddle:)
Riddle Sideways: Welcome to Monday, Eden
Eden Haiku: You are dressed like a guy who went to see the eclipse of the moon at his niece's house. Did you?
Riddle Sideways: going... it isn't until the 21st
Riddle Sideways: you have an amazing memory
Eden Haiku: I thought it was at the full moon?
Riddle Sideways: must be at new moon
Eden Haiku: Short-term memory Riddle, I posted the session only yesterday night :)
Riddle Sideways: ah
--BELL--
Riddle Sideways: and it is going to be a solar eclipse
Riddle Sideways: lunar eclipses happen 'fairly' regular
Eden Haiku: I see!
Eden Haiku: Solar eclpses are way more spectacular!
Riddle Sideways: watched a great kids show on eclipses
Eden Haiku: Yes?
Riddle Sideways: much better than the adult versions
Riddle Sideways: had better graphic illustrations
Eden Haiku: Useful to understand cosmic phenomenas
Riddle Sideways: son's kitten is on the desk
Eden Haiku: Cute!
Riddle Sideways: and has precise timing to when fingers are over the mouse click buttons
Eden Haiku: Say hi from me to kitty!
Riddle Sideways: and rubs its head on fingers
Eden Haiku: Wow!
Riddle Sideways: well, kitty is maybe 2 years old
Cats of the Internet theory
Eden Haiku: Came this morning with a theory on cats of the Internet
Riddle Sideways: oh! please tell your theory
Eden Haiku: Clearing her voice
Riddle Sideways: :)
Eden Haiku: All these rather serious people once posting videos of cats, gifs of kittens, cute pictures of them
Eden Haiku: It's refreshing
Eden Haiku: Intersparsed between climate change frightening news, terrorits attacks presidential crazy tweets
Eden Haiku: Read years ago a theory about cats
Eden Haiku: A weird one
Eden Haiku: It seems they were creatures engineered in Atlantis
Riddle Sideways: /listening
Eden Haiku: the empire was very large
Eden Haiku: people were very different, many species living in the empire, not all human
Eden Haiku: Cats were engineered like little animal robots who can adjust waves so people can communicate without words
Eden Haiku: End of silly theory :)
Riddle Sideways: hmmm,
Riddle Sideways: will let that settle, percolate, reside and rethink it later
Eden Haiku: You have material to observe at home, lucky you :)
Riddle Sideways: ha!
Eden Haiku: I only have cats of the Internet, but I love them!
--BELL--
Riddle Sideways: Life is a laboratory
Eden Haiku: Indeed
Eden Haiku: waving to Pema
Riddle Sideways: all ur memes are rs
Riddle Sideways: or is it "i haz cats"
Eden Haiku: difficult sentence to decipher: all "our memes' are rs? has cats, yes ;)
Eden Haiku: listening to the fountain
Riddle Sideways: can't find the classic lol cat wording
Eden Haiku: ah!
Riddle Sideways: however, searching on lolcat memes is a huge time sink
Riddle Sideways: eats up the 90 sec and much more
Eden Haiku: hehe
Riddle Sideways: ok, have the desk back
Riddle Sideways: now, you were discussing serious people
Eden Haiku: he, bye bye cat!
Eden Haiku: Was i?
Eden Haiku: The ones who post cats videos?
Riddle Sideways: that need to show their cat-ness side?
Rights of refugees
Eden Haiku: Thinking about this immigration attorney in Montreal.
Eden Haiku: He's specialized in rights of refugees
Eden Haiku: We are having about 150 people crossing the border illegally everyday, fleeing the US.
Riddle Sideways: and was he caught posting cat videos?
Eden Haiku: People from Haiti mostly, frightened about what will happen to them under the new policies
Riddle Sideways: yes
Eden Haiku: I mean "the new policies"[edited with no names]
Eden Haiku: Many people on this Timeline are apparently very angry about these refugees.
Eden Haiku: A whole Olympic stadium is full of them, many hotels, other venues
Riddle Sideways: wow
Eden Haiku: So people feel invaded and angry and worried
Eden Haiku: We have a lot of problems with poverty, mental patients, homeless people already
Eden Haiku: An austerity government who protects only the "economy"
Eden Haiku: So people are getting angry
--BELL--
Eden Haiku: The immigration attormey is overwhelmed by their hatred sometimes
Eden Haiku: he keeps telling that these people have rights unders our immigration law, refugee rights
Riddle Sideways: he can say/tell/shout/speak all he wants... people will not listen to what they don't want to hear
Riddle Sideways: the word "Refugee" is a good example
Eden Haiku: Yes, exactly
Eden Haiku: Hence, the cats videos to cool himself and the timeline :)
Riddle Sideways: the hate people forget what the word means
Leaping Adams
Riddle Sideways: howdee leaping Adams
Eden Haiku: Welcome Adams!
Adams Rubble: Hello Riddle and Eden :)
Riddle Sideways: good... Adams might get us off these soapboxes
Eden Haiku: Militant cataloger her t-shirt says, as we are discussing refugee roights in Montreal :)
Adams Rubble: yes, catalog the rights
Adams Rubble: and the roights [alluding to my typo]
Eden Haiku: Also, indeed :)))
Riddle Sideways: and Librarians Do It by the book
Eden Haiku: laughs
Riddle Sideways: SL has done it...
Adams Rubble is not the best example to get anyone off a soapbox
Eden Haiku: So, besides the cat videos, I have been practising loving-kindness meditation to both the refugees and the haters :)
Riddle Sideways: can wear a T-shirt that changes the lettering
Riddle Sideways: to whatever
Riddle Sideways: and several times a day
Riddle Sideways: always wanted that in RL
Adams Rubble: ohhh, nice practice Eden
Eden Haiku: Oh, I want that kind of t-shirt, where do you buy these?
Riddle Sideways: wash a T-shirt and the letters would come off
Riddle Sideways: then iron-on a new saying
Adams Rubble never washes her clothes
Eden Haiku: erk!
Adams Rubble has no washing machines in inventory
Riddle Sideways: occasionally washs them in the sprinkler over yonder
Adams Rubble: when I used to drive I washed them in the sea, along with the car
Adams Rubble: or whatevr else i was driving
Eden Haiku: Been doing mindfulness meditation quite a lot lately. Found great meditation videos in French. It feels real good,
Adams Rubble: :)
Riddle Sideways: good, a lot is needed
Curious about what the rock said to me?
Eden Haiku: Curious about what the rock said to me last Monday?
Adams Rubble: oh yes
Eden Haiku: It’s quite deep
Eden Haiku: He said:
Eden Haiku: "you are not Santa Claus"
Adams Rubble: :)
Eden Haiku: He said that in French, obviously
Eden Haiku: Rocks speak French around here
Adams Rubble: :)
Eden Haiku: I as a bit puzzled
Eden Haiku: Then I got it
Eden Haiku: I don't have to give everyone what they wish for
Eden Haiku: I'm not Saint-Eden-of-Two-Mountains
Riddle Sideways: some think you are
--BELL--
Eden Haiku: My neighbor yes, thinks I'm a saint, a wish-fulfilling tree. Well, I'm not
Eden Haiku: I'm quite limited
Eden Haiku: I need my space
Eden Haiku: So I thanked my Saint-Eden-of-Two-Mountains part that wishes to grant all wishes
Adams Rubble: :)
Eden Haiku: Promised I would say no very very gently so I wouldn’t hurt too much the old man who njust wanted to be helpful by bringing us some mail we don't need
Eden Haiku: And I did! I felt at peace with myself :)
Eden Haiku: End of the story :)
Riddle Sideways: likes that story
Eden Haiku: :)
Adams Rubble: I think sometimes what people may want from us is not what they need
Eden Haiku: yes, Adams, that’s true
Riddle Sideways: "Ya can't always get wha ya want..."
Eden Haiku: Singing Riddle :)
Adams Rubble: how does one get Mick Jagger out of ones head?
Riddle Sideways: easy... think of cat videos
Eden Haiku: Watch cat videos, yes!
Eden Haiku: There is one I have been watching over and over.
Riddle Sideways: meow, meow, meow, meow, meow, meow, meow, meow, meow, meow, meow, meow, meow, meow, meow,
Eden Haiku: Four cats in a corridor and a stuffed cat on a pink little robot bicycle
Adams Rubble: !!!
Riddle Sideways: lol
Adams Rubble: You can't always get what you waaaa-nt
Eden Haiku: The cats follow the little cat-doll who runs into the walls, or on their tails they are sooo intrigued by the invader!
Eden Haiku: Like haters by the refugees, but more gently
Eden Haiku: Cats are sooo loving
Eden Haiku: Very much into self-love too :)
Adams Rubble: :)
Migration out of America of the telemarketers
Riddle Sideways: phone
Eden Haiku: phone too
Adams Rubble: wow--I just had a call from Elizabeth at the card reward center
Riddle Sideways: laughs
Riddle Sideways: she called yesterday
--BELL--
Riddle Sideways: such a perky voice
Riddle Sideways: that does not listen
Adams Rubble: here too. Elizabeth keeps a busy schedule
Adams Rubble: yes nice voice but does has no listening skills whatsover
Riddle Sideways: and her caller ID is right here next door
Adams Rubble: heh heh
Adams Rubble: don’t let the next door hit you on the way out, Elizabeth
Riddle Sideways: she can't hear you say that
Adams Rubble: maybe Eden got a real call
Riddle Sideways: had a real call, but dealt with it quick
Adams Rubble: :)
Adams Rubble: is there a French version of Elizabeth?
Riddle Sideways: must be
Riddle Sideways: or soon will be
Adams Rubble: Elise is a derivative
Riddle Sideways: the migration out of Amerika will soon include telemarketers
Riddle Sideways: Canada will get them
Riddle Sideways: and be nice to them
Adams Rubble: what about the telemarketers in India?
Adams Rubble: heh heh about the nice
Riddle Sideways: oh yes, the ones calling from Microsoft about this computer
Adams Rubble: hehe
Adams Rubble: yes, those
Eden Haiku: Back:)
Adams Rubble: welcome back
Adams Rubble: does Elizabeth have a French form other than Elizabeth?
Riddle Sideways: looking for a phrase that means welcome ... ummm back
Eden Haiku: yes, we have French version of Elisabeth :)
Eden Haiku: But most telemarketers speak English to us, they are not aware we are French-speaking and they don't listen either :)
Adams Rubble giggles
Riddle Sideways: giggles alsoà
Real calls
Eden Haiku: Had a real call from my sweet old godmother :)
Riddle Sideways: how is she?
Eden Haiku: Busy old woman. Not available before the 21st :)
Riddle Sideways: ah, she is going to the eclipse
Eden Haiku: hehe, watch for her: sweet smile, always elegant, a bit difficulty walking. Already 85...
Eden Haiku: My sweeet young goddaughter is getting married in New Orleans in November, I was so outjoyed, I almost said I was going.
Riddle Sideways: she would probably be going to South Carolina
Eden Haiku: Checked schedules and tickets and hotels then realized it's right before the Montreal Book Fair.
--BELL--
Riddle Sideways: another phone call
Eden Haiku: Not realistic
Riddle Sideways: longer one
Eden Haiku: Bye bye Ridldle, have a nice day!
Adams Rubble: bye Riddle :)
Adams Rubble: yes nice day
Adams Rubble: sad about your conflict Eden
Eden Haiku: The rock said it wasn’t the right time. Will try to plead my cause as the goddmother of her first child :))
Adams Rubble: :)
Eden Haiku: She's Indian born but was adopted by a Californian catholic friend I met in India. She's now a start-up princess, soooo beautiful, so bright and so funny.
Eden Haiku: I haven't seen her in years though...
Adams Rubble: we lose touch with people so easily
Adams Rubble: I must go too. I hope you have a good day Eden :)
Eden Haiku: But going to her wedding would be to abandon my book-child as she as abandoned herself in a crib at the police station in Mumbai. She wouldn’t want me to do that.
Eden Haiku: have a nice day Adams :)
Eden Haiku: Thank you for being here :0
Adams Rubble: thank you for your guarding this space :)
Adams Rubble: nice dress
Adams Rubble: outfit
Eden Haiku: blushing thanks :)
Adams Rubble: bye bye
Eden Haiku: Bye dear :)
