    Riddle Sideways: ㋡
Eden Haiku: In Montreal right now you have to wear ice cleats every day for the last 4 days, it's so icy and slippery!
    Adams Rubble looks at map
Adams Rubble: nasty Polar Vortex coming this week
Adams Rubble: hitting midwest very hard
Riddle Sideways: where? Cuba or NJ?
    Riddle Sideways: k

    Eden Haiku: No? -60F ??
    Riddle Sideways: wow
    Eden Haiku: VERY COLD!
Adams Rubble nods her frozen head
Riddle Sideways: have been at the Chicago airport when wind chill was down about there

    Adams Rubble: yikes
    Adams Rubble: polar bear club

Eden Haiku: Without coat Riddle. oh! Biting cold, no wonder you remember :(
Riddle Sideways: like the Eden is able to move away from icy, snowy, cold area for some
    Riddle Sideways: *that
    Eden Haiku: Walk away
Eden Haiku: Walking away from icy sidewalks and ending up in a tornado :(

    --BELL--

Riddle Sideways: wheather is always there
Eden Haiku: I just want to feel the sand under my feet and swim in turquoise waters...
    Adams Rubble: :)
    Riddle Sideways: ahhhhh
Adams Rubble: understandable in middle of winter
    Riddle Sideways: understand, anytime
    Eden Haiku: smiles
Eden Haiku: So your government is not frozen anymore?
    Riddle Sideways: ha, nice segway
Eden Haiku: For a few weeks at least...
    Riddle Sideways: 3
Adams Rubble: yes, so excited to have government for three weeks
    Riddle Sideways: ha
    Adams Rubble: nice surprise
Riddle Sideways: like living in the middle of the making of a movie
Riddle Sideways: hard to believe the plot twists
    Eden Haiku: :)
Riddle Sideways: perhaps 50 years from now kids will study it in school
    Adams Rubble: yes as punishment
    Eden Haiku: smiles
Riddle Sideways: like the Civil War learning punishment
Zen Arado: 's current display-name is "Zen".
    Adams Rubble: Hello Zen :)
    Riddle Sideways: Hey Zen, welcome
    Zen Arado: Hi all
Riddle Sideways: gtsy at this time
Eden Haiku: Welcome Zen, how are you?
    Zen Arado: ok bit bored
    Riddle Sideways: ah
Riddle Sideways: remembering Zen having a 0700 session
Riddle Sideways: and the sim restarts
    Zen Arado: ha ha yes
    Riddle Sideways: few full sessions
Zen Arado: aways having to move to Kira
Zen Arado: does that still happen?
Eden Haiku: We have been talking about tornadoes in the Caraibs and polar temperatures in Chicago and the temporary ending of the government's shutdown...
Eden Haiku: Ah the sim restarts... Haven't seen any in a while...
Riddle Sideways: nope, not seen in a long while
    Zen Arado: don't coincide maybe
    Zen Arado: with pab times
Eden Haiku: What would pull you out of your state of boredom Zen?
    Eden Haiku: onigokko
    Riddle Sideways: hahahahhaha
    Eden Haiku: stop
    Eden Haiku: onigokko
Zen Arado: If I could get my eyes fixed
Riddle Sideways: do you have doc appointments to fix them?
Eden Haiku: Are you having an operation soon?
Zen Arado: some time but might be months or years
    Eden Haiku: stop
Eden Haiku: Out of breath :(

    --BELL--

Eden Haiku: That was fun though...
    Riddle Sideways: wwwwwwwwhhhhhh
    Riddle Sideways: tired
Eden Haiku: Hope you get them fixed soon Zen.
    Riddle Sideways: that woke cat
Eden Haiku: Had mine fixed last year and it feels great now!
Riddle Sideways: so much of your life is based on reading new learnings, Zen
    Zen Arado: that's great
    Eden Haiku: Poor kitty-cat :(
    Zen Arado: exactly
Eden Haiku: Can you listen to audiobooks?
Zen Arado: I am listening to life 3.0 at the moment
Eden Haiku: Life 3.0, with AI?
Zen Arado: I seem to comprehend better reading than listening though
Riddle Sideways: that is on the to listen pile
Zen Arado: especially if I fall asleep :-)
    Riddle Sideways: ha, yes
Riddle Sideways: do that reading also
    Adams Rubble: :)
    Zen Arado: it's very interesting
Eden Haiku: Me too, when I listen I don't memorize much, even the characters names in a novel...
Zen Arado: sometimes my mind wanders when I listen and I can't be bothered rewinding
Zen Arado: whereas it's easy to go back a page in a book
    Eden Haiku: Yep!
Riddle Sideways: listening when driving is funny. parts of the story relate to places on the streets
    Eden Haiku: How funny :)
Eden Haiku: it does that when listening while walking too :)
Zen Arado: I could do that I need to do one thing at a time
Zen Arado: I tried to listen to music while I was painting but it just distracted me
Zen Arado: I couldn't do that I mean
Riddle Sideways: couple years back, switched from iPod (with tough backward buttons) to smartphone app with quick 30-sec back
    Riddle Sideways: it helps
Zen Arado: that would be useful
Eden Haiku: I registered us for toworrow's flight to Cuba this morning and wonder if SIRI would be able to do that soon :)
Zen Arado: they have made such strides with Google translate
Riddle Sideways: saw a Google assistant demo couple days ago, it made a doctor's appointment
Eden Haiku: is it much better?
Zen Arado: but I don't think voice recognition has improved all that much the last few years
Zen Arado: I think they use machine learning now for translation
Eden Haiku: But you have to trust the apps with your passport numbers and so on...
Riddle Sideways: too late, they have all that already
Eden Haiku: You have to be very trusting :)
Zen Arado: that will be handy when they put you on hold for
    Zen Arado: an hour
Riddle Sideways: that would be useful
Eden Haiku: Right, they must know already...
Riddle Sideways: go back to listen to book, instead of on-hold muzak
    Zen Arado: Yep
Eden Haiku: On-hold muzak is sooooo boring.
Zen Arado: I was looking at a medical online doctor this morning
    Eden Haiku: ?
    Zen Arado: https://www.babylonhealth.com/
    Riddle Sideways: oh dear
    Riddle Sideways: or WebMD
    Zen Arado: brb
Eden Haiku: I said to the Babylon doctor I was feeling good and he/she asked for my details :)
Riddle Sideways: looked at one of those a week ago for an innocient ill. have cancer, heart failure and a very bad death future
    Eden Haiku: Poor Riddle :(
    Eden Haiku: laughs
Adams Rubble: very bad death future
Riddle Sideways: "Please detail your symtoms, have never talked with anyone feeling good"
    Eden Haiku: kind of :)
Riddle Sideways: places bets on it really does not have 'feeling good' data
Eden Haiku: I could predict we will all be dead in a couple of decades. Very bad death future :))
Riddle Sideways: 'nobody gets out alive'
Riddle Sideways: remember when it was "over 30, almost dead"
    Zen Arado: bk
    Riddle Sideways: wwb
    Riddle Sideways: giggles... that worked

    --BELL--

Eden Haiku: welcome backl ‹en :)
    Eden Haiku: Back Zen :)
Riddle Sideways: in the early space program, doctors discovered that they did not really know how normal-healthy people registered on their instruments
Zen Arado: what is normal, healthy?
Eden Haiku: Soooo, I will be missing the two next sessions on February 4th and 11, but I will be back for Monday morning session on February 18th.
Adams Rubble: Thich Nhat Hanh said that it is only when we are suffering that we can appreciate what it is like to not suffer/
Eden Haiku: Wish me luck with cuban tornadoes :)
Zen Arado: Going to Cuba – nice and warm
Adams Rubble: hopefully the storm is all in the past and you will have nice weather
Zen Arado: I always think of old American cars
Eden Haiku: There was a tornado in Havana last night Zen. I feel a bit worried...
    Zen Arado: oh dear
Riddle Sideways: writes those dates in a soon to be lost place
Eden Haiku: Yes, they have wonderful cars of the fifties
    Eden Haiku: Riddle :))
Eden Haiku: Dates will be in the log and I will send a note to Eliza to post the changes on the billboard.
Riddle Sideways: hearing about the people crafting the old parts to keep those cars going
Zen Arado: Cuba must be near the equator?
Eden Haiku: Not quite, just South of Key west Zen
    Eden Haiku: Close to Miami.
    Zen Arado: I say
Eden Haiku: Will wave to Eliza across the channel :)
    Zen Arado: see
Adams Rubble: we will fill in if we are able
Zen Arado: it won't be so hot in winter
Riddle Sideways: will come look at your empty cushion
Eden Haiku: Oh wonderful Adams :) That would be great! If you have time :)
Riddle Sideways: got nothing but time
    Riddle Sideways: well not really
Eden Haiku: Supposed to be around 26 C and 27 C during January....
Zen Arado: it is getting very hot and dry in Australia lately I see
Zen Arado: I'm glad I didn't decide to live there
Zen Arado: I will have been stuck in a hot West Sydney suburb
Riddle Sideways: seems to be weather any place
Eden Haiku: Yes, I saw that. read that Australian authorities had to shoot hundreds of camels and wild horses which were dying of thirst...
    Adams Rubble: :(
    Zen Arado: awful
Zen Arado: there are big herds of camels in outback Australia
Adams Rubble: if there is anything I have learned in life it is that there is no where one can go to escape weather or geological events
Zen Arado: yes I think that's true Adams
    Riddle Sideways: or fire
    Riddle Sideways: or government
    Riddle Sideways: or mosquitoes
Zen Arado: California would be nice but then you have the chance of an earthquake or fires
Eden Haiku: Saw a beautiful documentary about our future called TOMORROW by Cyril Dion and Melanie Laurent. very optimistic: how people everywhere are creating urban farms and cycling paths and so on...
    Riddle Sideways: yes
Riddle Sideways: there are hopeful people all around
Adams Rubble: or spam phone calls
Zen Arado: maybe it's better to be optimistic
Eden Haiku: Even 4000 little towns created local money bills so they can empower local trade.
    Adams Rubble hangs up phone
Zen Arado: has anyone read "small is beautiful"?
Eden Haiku: Me too, I do hang up when I realize it's spam...
Adams Rubble: it does not help
Eden Haiku: Never read it but always wanted to Zen :)
Zen Arado: A friend was reading it and tried to persuade me to read it again – I read it a long time ago
Riddle Sideways: /listens about small people
Adams Rubble: whoops, it does not work to argue with a machine
    Eden Haiku: laughs
Eden Haiku: Especially when they offer you an Alaskan cruise when it's minus 60 F ...
Riddle Sideways: fares are cheap this time of year
    Adams Rubble: :)
    Eden Haiku: :)

    --BELL--

Riddle Sideways: see the ice on your windows
    Eden Haiku: onigokkoà
