Riddle Sideways: an extra day in your year
    Eden Haiku: mmmm wondering...
Catrinamonblue Resident: sit in a splash of sunshine on my bed :)
Riddle Sideways: there are no Hallmark cards for it
    Riddle Sideways: ahhhhh
Eden Haiku: Sounds like a great idea Cat :)
    Catrinamonblue Resident: :)
Eden Haiku: No sunshine here today...a light cost of ice on tree branches...
Bleu Oleander: beautiful and sunny here :)
Riddle Sideways: dawn just changing to day
Catrinamonblue Resident: There is ice on the trees here, but the clouds have just moved away and the sun is starting to shine :)
Eden Haiku: Is Arizona in the same time zone as California Bleu?
    Bleu Oleander: not yet
Bleu Oleander: next month I think
Eden Haiku: Oh, they change at different times....
    Riddle Sideways: Az doesn't change
Bleu Oleander: we don't change but CA goes on DST
Eden Haiku: Ah I see thanks.
    Catrinamonblue Resident: :)
Riddle Sideways: no savings in AZ :)
Bleu Oleander: it makes it easy to be the same as SL time
Eden Haiku: Cat and I are in the same time zone but we have five or six in Canada...
    Catrinamonblue Resident: :)
    Bleu Oleander: hi Eliza :)
Eliza Madrigal: Hi Bleu, Eden, Riddle, Cat :)
    Catrinamonblue Resident: HI Eliza :)
    Riddle Sideways: hi eLiza

    Eliza Madrigal smiles
Eden Haiku: How is everybody this morning?

    --BELL--

    Riddle Sideways: slow
    Bleu Oleander: pretty good, you?
Eliza Madrigal noticing how I get caught on silly things, like the thought of wet socks... but then, they are koi fish socks, so... maybe should be wet
    Bleu Oleander: :)
Eden Haiku: Slept well even after the boring Oscars....
    Catrinamonblue Resident: :)
Riddle Sideways: uggggm wet socks are the worst
Eliza Madrigal: missed the awards this year, but saw a little news this morning
Bleu Oleander: funny how virtual water can make you feel like you have wet feet :)
    Eliza Madrigal: it does!
Eden Haiku: Eliza wearing koi fish socks on leap day :)
    Catrinamonblue Resident: :)
    Eliza Madrigal giggles!!
    Eliza Madrigal: ...golden fishes...
XRiddle Sideways: there was a small discussion of leap day being an extra day in your year ... how will you spend it
Riddle Sideways: Cat took the day off
    Eliza Madrigal: oh, wow
    Catrinamonblue Resident: :)
Eliza Madrigal: I'll spend the day organizing files, woohoo
Riddle Sideways: might go to Costco and save hundreds
Eliza Madrigal: but ...happily, with a spirit of "yay I have fun work to do and need space in computer"
Bleu Oleander: going out for coffee with friends, then work day for me
Eliza Madrigal: lol "save" by shopping
Eden Haiku: I will work on the drawing due for a book.
    Eliza Madrigal smiles
Bleu Oleander: a new book Eden?
Eden Haiku: Not mine, a friend's literary review, an issue about Lady Wilde.
    Bleu Oleander: nice
    Catrinamonblue Resident: :)
Eden Haiku: I'm creating a new image from a famous one, adding textures with the application Brushes
    Eliza Madrigal: sounds fun
Eden Haiku: It’sgoing to be launched in France in May. We are going back in Normandy then in Paris
Bleu Oleander: I'll start to think about my TSK contribution ... Bruce got us going already!
    Catrinamonblue Resident: oh wow :)
    Riddle Sideways: nice
    Eliza Madrigal: marvelous
Eden Haiku: Yes, exciting. Everything is settled now.
    Eliza Madrigal: miss it already?
Eden Haiku: The Art project connected to TSK is fun
Eliza Madrigal: have a few little events soon... going to take photos for the project then, and try to choose just one
Eden Haiku: Oh, the sun is showing up!
Eliza Madrigal: unless something else pops up and says "choose me!"
    Eden Haiku: hehe
    Catrinamonblue Resident: :) yay Eden

The  little girl who skated the wrong way

Eden Haiku: We don't live that far do we Cat :)
Catrinamonblue Resident: nope :) should visit sometime :)
Eden Haiku: Yes, next time I go visit my brother :)
    Catrinamonblue Resident: wonderful!! :)
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Eden Haiku: They were supposed to have a skating party on Canal Rideau this week end but someone got sick so it was cancelled...
Catrinamonblue Resident: :( ah well.. I haven't been skating in many years now :)
Eden Haiku: I remember going when their kids were little, now they have their own toddlers.
    Catrinamonblue Resident: oh wow :)
    Riddle Sideways: that happens
Eden Haiku: neither I :) Except in SL
Eliza Madrigal: love ice skating with children.... remember a party and a little girl who kept going the wrong way....
    Catrinamonblue Resident: :)
Eliza Madrigal: had to jump in the mix and guard her. She was very stubborn, sure she was right
    Eden Haiku: cute :)
    Eliza Madrigal laughs
    Catrinamonblue Resident: :)
Eliza Madrigal: I guess she wasn't exactly wrong
Eliza Madrigal: there were no arrows
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Eden Haiku: How are going to spend this leap day yourself Riddle?
    Catrinamonblue Resident: laughs
Eden Haiku: no arrows :) Like in TSK ?
    Riddle Sideways: laughing, probably
Bleu Oleander: not wrong ... just some ways have better outcomes :)

    --BELL--

    The pause

Eliza Madrigal: she had a different focal setting ^^
    Bleu Oleander: :)
X Eden Haiku: Feels good to respect the pause doesn't it?
    Riddle Sideways: yes
    Bleu Oleander: yes
Eden Haiku: It's the basis of it all after all...
    Catrinamonblue Resident: :)
Eden Haiku: Yet, sometimes, we are like this littlle girl skating in the "other" direction :)
    Eliza Madrigal: breaths of sessions....
    Eden Haiku: yes!
Eden Haiku: loves having her feet in the pool this morning....
    Bleu Oleander: :)
    Catrinamonblue Resident: :)
Eden Haiku: my jeans are getting a bit wet, but the SL sun should dry them quickly
    Catrinamonblue Resident: :) oui :)
Eliza Madrigal: just a little layabout on the swing should do it
    Eden Haiku: :)
Bleu Oleander: ah I had midnight set ... much nicer with sun!
Eden Haiku: Ton français s'améliore Cat?
Catrinamonblue Resident: Je parle petite francias
Catrinamonblue Resident: not enough to know what you said though :)
    Bleu Oleander: :)
Catrinamonblue Resident: I'm trying to learn :)
Eden Haiku: Tu parles un peu français, c’est bien!
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Catrinamonblue Resident: my fiance is from Quebec
Eden Haiku: ah, je vois :)
Eden Haiku: Best way to learn another language is through the language of the heart isn'it?
Catrinamonblue Resident: yes :) I would never have attempted it other wise I think :)
    Eliza Madrigal smiles
Eden Haiku: There is a yellow hue in Eliza's photos that I like. Which setting is it Eliza, do you remember?
Eliza Madrigal: I learned a bit of Korean accidentally, from the tv shows....
Eliza Madrigal: Hm, let me see....
    Catrinamonblue Resident: :)
Eliza Madrigal: Most of the settings like like are in the "Nacon" range
Eden Haiku: Thanks to your suggestions Eliza, I got hooked on Misaeng korean show and it felt like I could understand korean too:)
Eden Haiku: Ok, tks, will explore that
Eliza Madrigal: :) phase has passed mostly, but hopefully will retain the language I picked up
Eden Haiku: It’s the korean body language which is the most fascinating I think. They keep hitting each other like for fun....
Eliza Madrigal: ah, maybe Nacon's natural sunrise?
Catrinamonblue Resident: I don't watch a lot of tv but have a few movies I like to watch over and over :)
Catrinamonblue Resident: one of them was actually filmed in Quebec :) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0093117/
Eliza Madrigal: some of the older shows especially Eden... whacking in the back of the head, forehead flicking.... some quite awful but in context normal :)
Eliza Madrigal: Cat, is this in French?
Bleu Oleander: doesn't sound nice :)
Catrinamonblue Resident: it was filmed in french, there is an english dubbed copy as well
    Eliza Madrigal: I love subtitles
Catrinamonblue Resident: I saw it in english first then got it in french :)
Eden Haiku: The whale and the frog, ah yes, seen that a long time ago. Cute movie.

    --BELL--

Catrinamonblue Resident: not subtitles sorry, they voiced over in english after
Eliza Madrigal: looks sweet, anyway :)
Eden Haiku: I'm now checking links on my tablet when they are not too long so chaos doesn't start happening on hyper-vigilant computer :)
    Catrinamonblue Resident: :)
    Bleu Oleander: :)
    Riddle Sideways: ok :)

    Cowspiracy

Eden Haiku: Have you guys seen this 2014 documentary untitled Cowspiracy?
Catrinamonblue Resident: my daughter keeps asking me to watch it...
    Eden Haiku: On YouTube: http://youtu.be/PqlzdMbSIpc
Catrinamonblue Resident: I haven't as yet
    Eliza Madrigal: nor I
Bleu Oleander: no, what is it about?
Eden Haiku: It’s a long feature.
    Riddle Sideways: nope
Eden Haiku: About farm animals and sustainability
Catrinamonblue Resident: I think it's available on netflix too
    Eden Haiku: Yes, that too
Catrinamonblue Resident: or it was at least
Eliza Madrigal: hard to watch those films sometimes
    Bleu Oleander: yes
    Catrinamonblue Resident: yes
Eden Haiku: Argument is all transports: cars, buses, trains, airplanes, boats combined amounts to 18% of pollution
Eden Haiku: Farm animals for human consumptiomn: 51% of all pollution
    Catrinamonblue Resident: oh wow
Eden Haiku: Wait, maybe it's water resources and grain ressources that they take...
Bleu Oleander: we have a salon tomorrow with a top climate change expert ... I'm sure we will touch on that
Eliza Madrigal: the way we've done produce for many years would be hard to undo.. economies of many countries developed around certain crops and the transport industries maintaining them
Eden Haiku: Oh, it would be nice to hear from you about that afterwards Bleu :)
    Bleu Oleander: http://www.ldeo.columbia.edu/the-vetlesen-prize/past-recipients/wallace-smith-broecker
Eden Haiku: Yes Eliza, and it seems people who oppose like deforestation in Brazil are being killed....Lobbys are really really strong
    Eliza Madrigal: exactly
Eliza Madrigal: even buying flowers consciously is hard...
    Bleu Oleander: indeed
Eden Haiku: Documentarist points out that even ecologists won't talk about that,,,,
Eliza Madrigal: come from Colombia and feed into drug trades etc
Eliza Madrigal: ah, wow... it is just such a tangle... try to affect one thing and other things flare up
    Eden Haiku: Yep
Eliza Madrigal: but I think as grass roots educate each other it gets hard to keep up
Eden Haiku: Seems we are painting ourselves in a corner...
    Catrinamonblue Resident: yes
Eden Haiku: Very little time left to reverse things. Clock is ticking...
    Riddle Sideways: depressing
Eden Haiku: Somber thoughts on a leap day...
Eliza Madrigal: and not sure about the will to... some more open and some more closed....
Riddle Sideways: did the clouds cover us
Eden Haiku: Mostly unconscious I think....
Eliza Madrigal: but life can surprise :) have to consciously remember that :))
    Catrinamonblue Resident: :)
    XBleu Oleander: always surprises :))
Eden Haiku: Like I heard about methane gases from the cows and so on years ago but thought it was an argument from people who want to stick to their VUS...
Eliza Madrigal: there are interesting arguments against world wide vegetarianism too, for sustainability, but don't think that's any danger any time soon :)
    Catrinamonblue Resident: :)
    Bleu Oleander: ha! yes
Eden Haiku: Had this romantic picture of beautiful cows with liquid eyes grazing in a meadow filled with flowers....
Catrinamonblue Resident: I do enjoy my meat :)
Eden Haiku: Been vegetarian for decades, now vegan, but i’ts much more than that. A whole change of economic structures would be needed.
    Bleu Oleander: leather too!
    Eliza Madrigal nods
    Eden Haiku: leather, right...
xBleu Oleander: lots of $$$ issues
    Catrinamonblue Resident: yes
    Eden Haiku: Sorry bell :((
    Bleu Oleander: oops
Riddle Sideways: been veggie for (oh wow) 45 years (time flies)
Eden Haiku: Better hope aliens are getting ready to help us sort things out :)
Bleu Oleander: mostly veggie here, but do add fish

    --BELL--

    Ways of Eating

Bleu Oleander: aliens could be worse lol
Eliza Madrigal: been on a roller coaster of various types of diet for many years
Catrinamonblue Resident: daughter is vegetarian moving to vegen :)
Eden Haiku: She's the one who wants you to watch Cowspiracy I guess:)
    Bleu Oleander: :)
Catrinamonblue Resident: I'm not self disciplined enough for any diets, just eat what I like :)
Eliza Madrigal: hard when family members eat in very different ways
    Catrinamonblue Resident: yes Eden :)
Catrinamonblue Resident: and yes Eliza :)
Eden Haiku: Yes, I undrestand very well Eliza. And I fear my friends in France...
    Eliza Madrigal: cheese!
    Bleu Oleander: cheese!
Eden Haiku: Especially in Normandy: they eat so much CHEESE...
Catrinamonblue Resident: yes!! cheese :) yummy :)
Eliza Madrigal: and I eat according to whatever I'm interested in... last year was the year of kimchee
    Riddle Sideways: must have Cheese!
Bleu Oleander: have to get going ... enjoy your extra day!
Eden Haiku: Told them I'm now vegan but they will think it excludes their delicious Neuchatel heart-shaped cheese ...
    Eliza Madrigal: :) bye Bleu
    Catrinamonblue Resident: bye Bleu :)
    Riddle Sideways: by bLeu
    Bleu Oleander: bye bye
Eden Haiku: By Bleu, happy leap day!
Eliza Madrigal: can make exceptions for little bits, Eden?
Eden Haiku: Well, I feel so good I don't think I will go back to dairy....
Eliza Madrigal: a lot of people are finding balances, like, I know a couple who have steak once a month but eat veg based the rest of the time... for them one makes the other possible
Riddle Sideways: be careful, you can get sick
Eden Haiku: Yes, like you had a violent reaction to chicken hidden in veggie dish Riddle?
Eliza Madrigal: ah, remember that, nods
Riddle Sideways: oh, you remember that
Eliza Madrigal: I need to go... procrastinating fixing the files but it is a must
Eden Haiku: On Valentine day in a restaurant I asked if they could make the rissotto vegan
    Catrinamonblue Resident: :) bye Eliza
Eden Haiku: Bye sweet Eliza :)
Eliza Madrigal: thanks for this session Eden, and the nice company everyone <3
    Catrinamonblue Resident: :)
Eden Haiku: and they added cream in it. Didn't realized until I felt sick the next day :(
    Catrinamonblue Resident: :(
Riddle Sideways: :( Love rissotto, but they put other stuff in it usually
Riddle Sideways: nice to make at home,
Riddle Sideways: it demands sitting there and stirring
Eden Haiku: Yeah, they took out the shrimps but left the cream ...
    Eden Haiku: Never cooked risotto...
    Riddle Sideways: very relaxing
    Eden Haiku: Rissotto meditation :)
    Riddle Sideways: yep
    Catrinamonblue Resident: :)

    Riddle Sideways: hopefully
Eden Haiku: Ah, I wish you do make money Riddle :)
Eden Haiku: Have fun reading legal Riddle... must not be easy...
Riddle Sideways: yes, to pay for going to Costco
    Catrinamonblue Resident: :)
Eden Haiku: And save by shopping :)

Riddle Sideways: ok, have a wonderful Leap today
    Eden Haiku: Thanks :)
Riddle Sideways: bye and thank you
Eden Haiku: Sorry to be talking against meat consumption Cat. Didn't mean to make you uncomfortable
Catrinamonblue Resident: oh no it was fine :)
