    Bleu Oleander: yes
    Eliza Madrigal: ty, returned
Bleu Oleander: happens every once and a while
    Bleu Oleander: thanks!
Eden Haiku: Pheew... finally freed myself from my pink aura :)
    Eliza Madrigal: was pretty
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Cat :)
    Catrinamonblue Resident: :)
Eden Haiku: Just as Bleu is putting her blue one on hehe
Bleu Oleander: ha trying to take off
Eden Haiku: You can keep it dear :)
Eden Haiku: Ok, so we are not officially here
[I meant ¨now officially here¨ but correcting the typo seems like cheating my subconscious], without our auras, the four of us. How are you ladies?
Catrinamonblue Resident: good :) lucky morning off work :)
    Eliza Madrigal: nice
    Bleu Oleander: great and you?

    Weather reports

Eliza Madrigal: Okay here too, woke from a dream (napped after taking son to school) that my daughters worked in a cafe owned by Joseph campbell
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
    Catrinamonblue Resident: :)
    Eden Haiku: Wow!
Bleu Oleander: that would be a fun cafe!
Eliza Madrigal: it has a great vibe
Eliza Madrigal: *had, lol just woke not too long ago
Eliza Madrigal: How are you doing, Eden?
    Eden Haiku: I'm good, thanks.
Eden Haiku: Very sunny here, but a bit chilly :)
Eliza Madrigal tamps down feelings of weather envy
Eden Haiku: Still very hot in Miami?
Bleu Oleander: its actuallly quite nice here this morning
Eliza Madrigal: hot, and so humid
Eliza Madrigal: there was the taste of fall i the air a few days ago though
Eden Haiku: Ottawa weather must be similar as mine, Cat, weather report?
Bleu Oleander: the humidity is harder for me than the heat
    Eliza Madrigal nods
Catrinamonblue Resident: lol Yes, I was just thinking that but didn't want to make Eliza more envious ;)
    Eliza Madrigal laughs
    Eliza Madrigal: that's fine
    Bleu Oleander: :)
Eden Haiku: hehe, good to take care of Eliza's virtues :)
    Eliza Madrigal giggles
    Bleu Oleander: :)
Eden Haiku: She has so many...
    Eliza Madrigal: I out them
Eden Haiku: Saint Eliza of Miami
Catrinamonblue Resident: :) it's cooler here finally. It's been a most hot and humid summer here...
    Catrinamonblue Resident: :)
Eliza Madrigal: pshhh, but thanks for that well wish :)
    Eden Haiku: LOL
Eliza Madrigal: morning walks still, Cat?
Catrinamonblue Resident: not so much these days.... had a nice afternoon walk yesterday though
Eliza Madrigal: miss your lovely photos
Catrinamonblue Resident: ahh I miss taking them
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Catrinamonblue Resident: RL has changed greatly over the past few years and I haven't had the time I used to to do that
    Eliza Madrigal understands, relates
    Catrinamonblue Resident: :)

Amazing what we store in our bodies

Eden Haiku: What to hear about a great experience beyond words I had recently?
    Eliza Madrigal: YES
    Catrinamonblue Resident: listens :)
Eden Haiku: Putting it in words won't be easy
    Bleu Oleander: yes, listens
Eden Haiku: It was during osteopathy treatment. Been seeing her for 10 years or so, she's a wonderful healer.

    --BELL--

Eden Haiku: She was working on my nape, on this part of the brain which is called "dure-mère" in French, the outer hard shell of the brain. [Google translated it: it’s the dura mater and it’s not hard, rather a ¨tough fibrous membrane¨]
Eden Haiku: Sometimes, I ask what she is doing and she tells me.
Eden Haiku: My back was somersaulting kind of
Eden Haiku: And then my face just cringed
Eden Haiku: In pain, in fear, I don’t know
    Eden Haiku: She saw
Eden Haiku: She said: " Are we going further or do you want me to stop?"
Eden Haiku: And then I knew
Eden Haiku: It was the guardian of a wounded part who wouldn't let her in
Eden Haiku: So I said :"let me talk to the guardian"
Eden Haiku: As soon as I had this thought, I saw the guardian gently open the barrier
Eden Haiku: The osteopath said she could finally reach my heart along the verterbral column.
Eden Haiku: I miss a word here.
Eden Haiku: The liquid subtance in the vertebral column?
    Eliza Madrigal: ummm...
    Eliza Madrigal: spinal fluid?
Eden Haiku: Immediatly, I felt so joyous... Yes spinal fluid, thanks
[bone marrow, more accuretely, thanks to online dictionnairies!]

    Eliza :)
    Eden Haiku: I was ecstacic
    Catrinamonblue Resident: Cerebrospinal fluid?
    Eliza Madrigal: ah
    Catrinamonblue Resident: ah ok :)
Eden Haiku: At the end of the treatment, I just crawled on the floor towards her dog (dog is new and apparently a good therapist too) and like, I talked with the dog for a little while.
    Eliza Madrigal smiles
    Catrinamonblue Resident: wow Eden :)
Bleu Oleander: dogs are great therapists
Eden Haiku: The wounded memory was about being a one year old eating in the bowl of a neigbor's spaniel and being shamed for it by my mother.
Eliza Madrigal: very deep.. one year old
Eden Haiku: I always remembered the scene but now I was free of the shame!
Eden Haiku: Sorry for taking the floor so long :)
    Catrinamonblue Resident: beautiful Eden :)
Eliza Madrigal: powerful ... how have you been since then?
    Eden Haiku: I'm transformed, really!
Eden Haiku: Some dark cloud has been lifted
Eliza Madrigal: you didn't. I'm so thankful to hear
Eliza Madrigal: that's wonderful, and just before travels... even lighter of heart perhaps
    Eliza Madrigal: ^.^
Catrinamonblue Resident: agrees with Eliza, it's a beautiful thing to listen to :)
Bleu Oleander: wonderful to feel transformed!
Eliza Madrigal: amazing what we store in our bodies
Eden Haiku: Thanks. Yes, it's a good omen for the travels :)

Travels and more or less catholic childhoods

Bleu Oleander: where are you headed?
Eden Haiku: Yes, so many memories loaded in our cells...
Eden Haiku: Lourdes first, a great healing place but I'm attending a literary festival, giving a poetry performance,
Eden Haiku: And then Paris for two months, poor me :)
    Bleu Oleander: lovely
Catrinamonblue Resident: oh wow :) lovely
Eliza Madrigal feels very sorry for Eden
    Eliza Madrigal laughs
    Catrinamonblue Resident: :)
    Eden Haiku: Saint Eliza :)
Bleu Oleander: take us in your suitcase
    Eliza Madrigal giggles
Eliza Madrigal copes by wishing Paris upon all peoples
    Eden Haiku:
I will take you in my heart for sure :)
    Catrinamonblue Resident: :)
    Bleu Oleander: :))
    Eliza Madrigal: thank you :))
Eliza Madrigal looks for black and white boat shirt
Eden Haiku: I might even light candles in the sanctuary. I will go for sure.
    Eliza Madrigal: lovely
Eden Haiku: In my catholic childhood, the Virgin of Lourdes was very important
Bleu Oleander: giggles at Eliza boat shirt
Eden Haiku: I even had a phosphorescent little statue of her
    Eliza Madrigal: Lady of Lourdes
Eden Haiku: In energy healing, they teach that Lourdes is a downward spiral, which is excellent for healing.
Bleu Oleander: do you still feel attached to your catholic upbringing?
Eden Haiku: It's such a coincidence that I'm invited there.
    Eliza Madrigal: timing
    Eliza Madrigal listens
Eden Haiku: To the foklore of it yes, Bleu. And maybe I understand better now after my touring of so many different religions :)

    --BELL--

    Bleu Oleander: yes
Eden Haiku: Eliza was raised a catholic too. [was  mistaken about that, Eliza clarify in a few lines ]What about you Bleu and Cat?
Eliza Madrigal: freed from power structures, many elements quite beautiful
    Bleu Oleander: I was too
Catrinamonblue Resident: had a somewhat catholic upbrining too ;)
Eliza Madrigal: I wasn't raised Catholic Eden... married into very Catholic family
Eliza Madrigal: but Miami is a pretty Catholic environment
Catrinamonblue Resident: my parents weren't very religious though I went to a catholic school until Gr 8.
Eden Haiku: Ah, I see Eliza, sorry to have misinterpreted
Eliza Madrigal: my great grandmother did attend Catholic school also
Eliza Madrigal: no apologies necessary... the way I tell my stories leaves room lol
Eliza Madrigal: not to make light of the refugee crisis at all, but sometimes I feel like a political/religious refugee ... distanced from both families for not conforming nor raising kids the same
Bleu Oleander: I went to the same catholic school that my mom did
Eden Haiku: So we are all connected to these roots in a way...
    Bleu Oleander:
political/religious refugee ... takes a while to find your own space
Eliza Madrigal nods... or make one
    Bleu Oleander: yes
    Bleu Oleander: meant that actually
Eliza Madrigal: it took a while for me to see the amazing beauty of the Catholic religion
    Catrinamonblue Resident: :)
Eliza Madrigal: took my seeing it in a more buddhist way I think
Bleu Oleander: what do you find so amazingly beautiful about it?
    Eliza Madrigal:
the iconography.... what I sense Eden taps into also... goddesses and female figures revered
Catrinamonblue Resident:as a child I was always fascinated by the ritualistic nature of the service... the deep resonant voice of the priest singing...
Eden Haiku: Yes, our buddhist selves must be helping us to shed the guilt part and see the play of being...
Eliza Madrigal: same rituals taking place all over the world
    Bleu Oleander:
    modeled after Isis probably
    Eliza Madrigal: mmm, nods
Eden Haiku: Yes, Isis and Ishtar
Eliza Madrigal: Cat, yes, I envied that historical root as I got older
    Catrinamonblue Resident: :)
Eden Haiku: I like the fact that's I don't feel enmeshed in any practices though. That was a constraint when I was a teenager,.
    Eliza Madrigal: freed
    Eden Haiku: Yes
    Bleu Oleander: yes freeing

    Rituals

    Cat_001.jpg

Eliza Madrigal: Joseph Campbell said that "mythology is other people's religion." :))
    Bleu Oleander: :)
Eden Haiku: I light votive candles and smell the incense with delight, but ...yes, nice, other people's religion...
    Eliza Madrigal:
my boyfriends were usually Catholic or Jewish so I was attending unfamiliar rituals from a pretty young age. I think I associated them with stable families
    Bleu Oleander: interesting
    Eden Haiku: Ah, interesting Eliza...
    Bleu Oleander: rituals bond families
    Eliza Madrigal: yes
    Catrinamonblue Resident: sometimes
    Bleu Oleander:
I always envied families with strong rituals
    Eliza Madrigal nods
    Eden Haiku: also
    Bleu Oleander:
later to realize we had strong rituals too hehe
Bleu Oleander: hard to see from the inside
Eliza Madrigal: yes, had to test it for myself
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
    Bleu Oleander: just felt "normal"
    Catrinamonblue Resident:
that's funny because I was rather opposite that, didn't like rituals, was always wanting to break free of them
Eden Haiku: Ah? Say more Cat?
Bleu Oleander: I wanted to understand them
Catrinamonblue Resident: in teen years more than younger years
Bleu Oleander: and in the understanding felt free
    Eliza Madrigal nods...that makes sense
    Catrinamonblue Resident:
I liked the ritualistic nature of it so long as it didn't include me
    Eliza Madrigal: ah
Eliza Madrigal: I think what one doesn't see is that without conscious rituals, there are still rituals we're raised into and defaults

    Discussing our catholic roots

    Xirana_001.jpg

Xirana Oximoxi: 's current display-name is "Xirana".
    Bleu Oleander: hi Xiri
    Catrinamonblue Resident: hi Xiri
Eliza Madrigal: Hi Xiri, wonderful red
Eden Haiku: Ah, not knowing when to kneel and when to stand up and so on Cat?
    Xirana Oximoxi: hello everyone! :)
Eden Haiku: Hi Xiri, you are very welcome;-)
Bleu Oleander: sorry, but need to leave ... have a wonderful trip Eden ... hugs
Catrinamonblue Resident: not so much that as I attended from young age so knew what was expected.... maybe it was expectations I was fighting against....
Eden Haiku: We have been talking about our catholic roots or connections:)
    Xirana Oximoxi: bye Bleu :)
    Catrinamonblue Resident: bye Bleu :)
Bleu Oleander: will enjoy reading the log
    Eliza Madrigal: ntsy Bleu
    Bleu Oleander: bye all
Eden Haiku: Thanks Bleu. I'm not leaving until later. October 13th.
    Bleu Oleander: ah ok
Bleu Oleander: c u soon then
    Eliza Madrigal:
I learned about propaganda pretty early on, too, when I'd get messages from my family about what other people believed, only to learn otherwise...was confusing but I'm glad I had a stubbornly curious streak
    Catrinamonblue Resident: :)

    --BELL--

    Eden Haiku: Indeed!
Eliza Madrigal: lots of that happening in our world now.... moral demonizing of other
Eden Haiku: How are you doing Xirana?
Xirana Oximoxi: I'm doing fine, Eden, thanks :-) Don't want to interrupt your conversation! :)
Eden Haiku: You are not interrupting dear, even bringing more catholic blood into the stream, are you?
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Xirana Oximoxi: yes... I was when child :)
    Catrinamonblue Resident: :)
    Xirana Oximoxi:
I don't believe in God and less to Catholic Church
Eliza Madrigal: do you ever find comfort in religious figures?
    Eliza Madrigal: symbolically?
    Eden Haiku: Or in mandalas?
Xirana Oximoxi: I never do :-)
     Xirana Oximoxi:
this summer I've been going to the mass nearly each Sunday to bring my mother...and I've listened quite a lot and I find they should actualise their message if they don't want youngs to practice and believe
Xirana Oximoxi: if they want youngs to practice... *
Eliza Madrigal: Pope Francis helps a lot :)
Xirana Oximoxi: yes.. he helps I agree :)
Xirana Oximoxi: but they still talk about wife submission to the husband, for exemple...
    Eliza Madrigal nods
Catrinamonblue Resident: that's not just a catholic thing
Eden Haiku: Yes, they do, I agree with you Xirana. Also went to mass with my Dad before he passed away. After decades, I was so upset with the nonsense sometimes.
    Eden Haiku:
Nothing as universal as the submission of women...
    Eliza Madrigal: true
    Eden Haiku:
    The forced submission I mean
Xirana Oximoxi: I've had to stop myself to start a discussion in the church with the priest :-))
Catrinamonblue Resident: have a friend who is a preacher... he preaches that and his wife accepts it...
Eden Haiku: Mao said one thing I really appreciate: "Half of the sky is women"
[Women hold up half the sky¨ is Mao Zedong’s exact quote]
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
    Xirana Oximoxi: oh! yes...very nice!
Catrinamonblue Resident: like that Eden :)
    Eliza Madrigal: http://theyoginiproject.org/
Eliza Madrigal: I really like this effort
Eden Haiku: imagines Xirana wanting to start arguing with a priest at mass hehe
    Catrinamonblue Resident: :)
Eliza Madrigal: hard to put effort in when one knows they won't register on the radar
Xirana Oximoxi: :-) I did not because I am shy :)
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Eden Haiku: Great link Eliza, thanks.  Bookmarked it! A network of realized women wow!
Eliza Madrigal: very inspiring, these excavations
Xirana Oximoxi: I will read it later, thanks Eliza...
Xirana Oximoxi: anyway..our culture has still a lot of influence of Catholic church in Spain

Churches, our PaB pavilion, fairies and languages

Catrinamonblue Resident: must run... I've been ignoring a work email for the past half hour.... Need to look into it :)
Eden Haiku: And you have so beautiful churches Xirana!
    Catrinamonblue Resident: sorry guys
    Eliza Madrigal: aw, ntsy Cat
    Xirana Oximoxi: bye Cat! :)
    Catrinamonblue Resident: bye all :)
Eden Haiku: Bye bye Cat, was lovely to have you this morning!
Xirana Oximoxi: yes...each village has its church..and cities more big ones and chathedrals
Eliza Madrigal: that's what I love
Xirana Oximoxi: have you been here Eden?
Eliza Madrigal: total immersion in a setting far larger and out of the ordinary

    --BELL--

Eden Haiku: Yes. I remember Toledo's cathedral. So moving...
    Eden Haiku:
On a very hot day, the coolness, the silence, the incense, the votive candles...
Xirana Oximoxi: yes...I do also like to sensation to go into a separate space when you walk into a church
Xirana Oximoxi: a quiet, silent, fresh...
    Eden Haiku:
Like walking into this pavilion. Our church :)
    Xirana Oximoxi: yes :)
    Eliza Madrigal:
yes, even with stained-glass like effects
Eden Haiku: A separate space from our daily routines
Eliza Madrigal: like your wings, too, today, Eden
    Eliza Madrigal: Eden visitation ^^
Xirana Oximoxi: you both look very nice :-) like two fees :)
    Eden Haiku:
Fractal wings for a fractal viewpoint through our stained-glass viewpoints...
Xirana Oximoxi: fees ..I meant 'fayries' sorry!
    Eliza Madrigal: :))
Eden Haiku: Like Morgana le Fay, hehe. Thanks Xirana.
    Xirana Oximoxi: :) yw
Eden Haiku: It's fees in French as well :)
    Eden Haiku: Fairy godmothers
    Eliza Madrigal smiles
Xirana Oximoxi: ah ok, thanks...then that's why I mistaken the word. learning too much languages at the same time :)
    Eden Haiku: Thought so...
    Eliza Madrigal: its marvelous
Eden Haiku: I do that too, a lot.
Eden Haiku: The frontiers between languages kind of fluctuate...
Eden Haiku: You speak catalan do you Xir?
Xirana Oximoxi: yes, it is my mother language
Eden Haiku: Then Spanish, English, French also.
Xirana Oximoxi: I speak and think in Catalan but here we are all bilingual
Eden Haiku: Must be older people who speak only Catalan no?
Eden Haiku: Here, many Quebecers do not speak English at all.
Eliza Madrigal: (daughter has come in work out clothes to taskmaster me to the gym - Tara of the treadmill) (((((Xiri)))) ((((Eden)))))
Xirana Oximoxi: and always.... learning German too
Eden Haiku: By Eliza dearest :-))))
Xirana Oximoxi: older people they already speak all both languages
    Eden Haiku: And german, wow!
Eliza Madrigal is amazed by your ranges, so impressive
    Xirana Oximoxi: bye Eliza! :)
Eliza Madrigal: bye for now <3
Eden Haiku: It was so nice having you here this morning Xirana.
Xirana Oximoxi: we have had Catalan forbidden for 40 years during Franco's dictatur
Xirana Oximoxi: thank you Eden! :)
Eden Haiku: Yes, I know. a terrible predicament.
Xirana Oximoxi: it was nice to be here with you!
Xirana Oximoxi: wonderful time with nice company :)
Eden Haiku: Unfortunatly, I will have to leave. A friend is coming over in a few minutes,
Xirana Oximoxi: I will leave too :)
Eden Haiku: Hope I will see you again soon :)
Xirana Oximoxi: have a nice time! yes! See you soon!
Eden Haiku: Bye sweetheart and have a lovely day!
