Riddle Sideways: how was the drive?
Adams Rubble: not too bad this morning
    Riddle Sideways: good
    Adams Rubble: and voting
Adams Rubble: big election for our town today
Riddle Sideways: yes, you said that
Riddle Sideways: what is the big vote mostly for?
    Adams Rubble: mayor and council
Adams Rubble: there is the incumbent and a challenger
    Adams Rubble: a generational push
Adams Rubble: this time I am for the older person :)
Adams Rubble: although the younger one is very qualified
Riddle Sideways: foreshadow elections to come?
Adams Rubble: there's much more to it but I won;t go into details
Adams Rubble: there are some misunderstandings at work

Adams Rubble: I tried the first part of Eden's suggestion for whn you are awake in the middle fo the night
Riddle Sideways: good, how did the exercise go?
Adams Rubble: anyway I tried to count 5 sounds
Adams Rubble: #1 was the air cleaner that runs all the time
Riddle Sideways: it worked? or too early to tell
Adams Rubble: then I waited for another sound
    Adams Rubble: finally #2
    Adams Rubble: my breathing
Adams Rubble: I concluded I was alive
    Riddle Sideways: Great!
Adams Rubble: the air cleaner blocked all other sounds
Adams Rubble: so I did not get too far
    Riddle Sideways: then you slept?
    Adams Rubble: nope
    Adams Rubble: :)
    Riddle Sideways: ah

Riddle Sideways: was awake some last night, but forgot about that exercise
Riddle Sideways: did hear the dishwasher start
Adams Rubble does not have one
Riddle Sideways: and not sure if it started before that and was reason woke up
Riddle Sideways: this is a very old one that clunks
                   --BELL--
    Adams Rubble: ohhh
Adams Rubble: I had a crisis last night that resolved itself over night
    Riddle Sideways: good
Adams Rubble: apparently the registry got messed up for an external drive where I have all my RL historical work stores
Adams Rubble: not backed up recently
Riddle Sideways: and did it heal itself overnight?
Riddle Sideways: just gave you the worries
Adams Rubble: read about software to fix registries but worried about bringing in viruses
Adams Rubble: so left it for today
Adams Rubble: Everything was fine this morning
    Riddle Sideways: great
Adams Rubble: so I vacked up all my work first thing this morning :)
    Adams Rubble: backe
    Adams Rubble: backed
Riddle Sideways: and can stop worry
Adams Rubble: yes, it would have been days of work for the blog

Riddle Sideways: Crisis here is holding, so far. am typing with fingers crossed
Riddle Sideways: Internet is having some speed right now
Adams Rubble has resolved to be smarter about backing up
Riddle Sideways: the last 3 days have been slow Internet
    Riddle Sideways: good resolve
Adams Rubble: ohh. I think our router has slowed down but do not want to tangle with Verizon
Riddle Sideways: have stayed on hold with the nice auto-Agent that keeps saying "You are very important to us"
    Riddle Sideways: Comcast-XFinity here
    Adams Rubble hates calling tech
Riddle Sideways: had to leave yesterday during one of those holds
    Adams Rubble: ohhhh
Adams Rubble: that's what I mean
Riddle Sideways: finally got the really nice person that was going to help, but needs SS#, street address, color eyes, shoe size
    Riddle Sideways: first
Riddle Sideways: then a long "let me check"
Adams Rubble: hmmm, they don;t need weight at ComcAST?
Riddle Sideways: and "Yes, you seem to not be working very well"
Riddle Sideways: then "we have some other reports in your area"
Riddle Sideways: a nice person is going to come out between 9-11 today
Riddle Sideways: and look in all the houses on the block that have the issue
    Adams Rubble: :)
Riddle Sideways: it must be inside those houses
    Adams Rubble: ohhh
Adams Rubble: We don;t have nice people coming out here :)
Riddle Sideways: actually, a nice second level tech called back an hour later
Riddle Sideways: and had things to try
    Riddle Sideways: but, none worked
Riddle Sideways: however, I can PaB today ㋡
Adams Rubble: ohhh. Good luck today
                   --BELL--
Riddle Sideways: it was really bad with NetFlix stopping the mystery being watched to buffer more show
Riddle Sideways: there is a less tolerant one in this house
    Riddle Sideways: no names
Riddle Sideways: so, These are the Times that Try
Adams Rubble: when everything works it is great

Riddle Sideways: dropped off some baking experiments at the sick friend's house
Adams Rubble: I remember when the kids were small we took them to a movie theater to see Bambi. The screen projection was so dark you could hardly see it and the sound was awful.
Riddle Sideways: and the sight of him just barely in the chair was so hard
    Adams Rubble: :(
Riddle Sideways: so use to our Things
    Riddle Sideways: working
Riddle Sideways: those dreaded Times power goes out
Riddle Sideways: or the Internet goes
Adams Rubble: people have to talk to each other using only mouth and ears
Riddle Sideways: no fact checking why the flags were at half-mast yesterday
Adams Rubble: unless they have two tin cans and a string
    Adams Rubble: Virginia
Riddle Sideways: thought that was the reason, but passenger in the car had to check
Riddle Sideways: now that it can be checked
    Riddle Sideways: right then/now

Riddle Sideways: was not the Pause Time, but took an oh so nice set of deep breaths
    Adams Rubble: :)
Riddle Sideways: grateful for so much
Riddle Sideways: grateful for the little basic things
    Adams Rubble: :)
Adams Rubble: life is better with a little gratitude
    Adams Rubble: :)
Riddle Sideways: and wondering at the silly person that is upset at the extras not working their magic at expected levels

Adams Rubble: tolerance is such a fragile thing
Riddle Sideways: that period should SO be brought up and shown

Adams Rubble: ohh, and speaking of religions of the book, today is the end of Ramadan
    Riddle Sideways: yes
Riddle Sideways: should have said that
Riddle Sideways: during that pause, had read the first line and did not see the next
Adams Rubble: yesterday you said you may have trouble making it on Thuirsday
Riddle Sideways: auto-completed so many possible endings to that "went into a shop ..."
    Adams Rubble: :)

Riddle Sideways: yes, leaving Thursday morning for Bay Area, but not sure of the time
Adams Rubble: OK. There is an anti-gun ralley at our town during my session
