The woman stops and feels the earth under her feet, the warmth of her body in her snuggly bundled coat, the cold air in her nose, and hears the beautiful songs of the hardy little birds singing nearby….

    2010.02.19 01:00 - Unwinding a headache

Calvino Rabeni: There was a split between mind and body while I was trying to solve a computer problem I didn't want to look at or deal with
Calvino Rabeni: body's impulse was just to walk away, get moving on something else
    Wol Euler nods.
Calvino Rabeni: I kept looking at the screen
Calvino Rabeni: creating lots of tension in neck and shoulders
    Wol Euler: mmhmm
Calvino Rabeni: the image of the problem remains, even though I'm no longer there
Wol Euler: so it was caused by tension
Wol Euler: and probably bad posture too, that often follows tension for me
Calvino Rabeni: the problem remains, but the problem and its image are separate things
    Wol Euler: say more?
Calvino Rabeni: the situation physically exists as a condition in a computer at another location
Calvino Rabeni: the image is tied to a memory and a body feeling that is here and now
Calvino Rabeni: when I kind of "get inside" it, the feeling of energy in neck and shoulders kind of heats up, like it had tiger balm
Calvino Rabeni: I sort of like that feeling
    Wol Euler nods.
Wol Euler: virtual tiger balm, from the inside.
Calvino Rabeni: right, and then I feel head muscles I didn't feel before
Calvino Rabeni: the headache goes in and out of existence
    Wol Euler: ah!
Calvino Rabeni: I wouldn't say it is gone, but quite a bit more "fluid" in some way

    2010.02.19 07:00 - Initiating Play

    Fael makes a great clarification...

Fael Illyar: somehow the words "hide behind" put together with role feel off to me...
    Eliza Madrigal: yes, hm...
Zen Arado: did you hear of Sartre's waiter?
Eliza Madrigal: there is a sense of both hiding AND stepping out
    Eliza Madrigal: using the role
Fael Illyar:it's more like that, taking the role, you give yourself permission to let go of your 'self'
    Eliza Madrigal: Yes! Great clarification!
Fael Illyar: as is necessary to act with the role

    2010.02.19 13:00 - meditation and life experiences

Aztlan Foss: and the argument is something like, if we're tiny balls of matter and we are consious why can't the universe as an enourmous ball of matter ben consious too
Calvino Rabeni: The enormous ball might have some tiny conscious blobs
Calvino Rabeni: called, sentient beings, which people maybe a subset
Aztlan Foss: yeah like "we are the universe thinking" thing?
    Calvino Rabeni: yeah
Aztlan Foss: yeah I like that one a lot
Calvino Rabeni: it sees itself, throughy us
    --BELL--
Calvino Rabeni: a pretty amazing trick :)
Aztlan Foss: I am the universe I feel so big :-)
Aztlan Foss: how'd I squeeze my self in this little ball of flesh?

    2010.02.19 19:00 - Nix

2010.02.20 01:00 - Brave New World or Same Old Story?

Bolonath Crystal: i'm looking forward to the time when mankind is developed enough to communicate telepathically
Lawrence Vyceratops: With brain chips, it shouldn't be too long.
Yakuzza Lethecus: but we still have to train our body´s
Bolonath Crystal: yep, it may take a while

    2010.02.20 07:00 - Fears

Yakuzza Lethecus: oh, thinking too much about perception and being percieved, as soon as those thoughts get dominant and might block you from actually being in the situation
    Bertram Jacobus: oh. i see.
Bertram Jacobus: ty for sharing that with us (!) :-)
Yakuzza Lethecus: actually that´s that for me and pab and dropping things is highly related to that for me
Bertram Jacobus: you may know : i like openness a lot ... (?)
    --BELL--
Bertram Jacobus: and i see boundries of openness only where it would hurt people ...

    2010.02.20 13:00 - Cheese and Holograms

Eos Amaterasu: Can you say more about the puzzle itself, Sophia?

SophiaSharon Larnia: like living in this body, in this time, I'm accumulating information to find some truths
SophiaSharon Larnia: but some would say it is to experience them :)
    Eos Amaterasu: real-ize them

arabella Ella: But ... can we every touch 'the truth' ... and why should we need to?
Eos Amaterasu: The subtle thing about "world as illusion" is that the "as" part is the most important

    2010.02.20 19:00 - Completely Uncharted Territory

Calvino Rabeni: I think identities are intrinsically difficult or impossible to pin down
    SophiaSharon Larnia: nods
Calvino Rabeni: they seem more like emergent qualitative properties of all the unpredictable interactions of whatever "components" they might have

Calvino Rabeni: There's a whole family inside :)
SophiaSharon Larnia: then what is integration?

Calvino Rabeni: if all the different parts dropped their grievance issues and got along in harmony?

Calvino Rabeni: What about the "inner child" - what is it a metaphor of?

SophiaSharon Larnia: that place you lived before life experiences piled up, a place of experience being held for what they are, experience

Pema Pera: a place of innocence

Eden Haiku: Something like we have no idea what it is. Completely uncharted territory.

Eden Haiku: Creating ourselves like being born into a new world.

    2010.02.21 01:00 - Way of learning

Moon Fargis: gosh the last week i feel like my body stepped into a hole and decided to have lots of illness and sufferngs just becasue i had none so long time
Stargate Tone: thinks how people used to get very ill after moving home to new home; when all items are moved, and the base items have set to there own places
    Moon Fargis: hmhm
Moon Fargis: must be becasue of the dust :)
Stargate Tone: and some people used to get ill when the vacation starts...not 'having time' to get ill but then...
Moon Fargis: ahyes that people we call good workers:)
Stargate Tone: and the whole huge change; to move, is always a big process
    Stargate Tone: when much changes
Moon Fargis: well a move is also no easy thing and huge stress
    Stargate Tone: _/!\_

    2010.02.21 07:00 - Wings to Infinity

Bertram Jacobus: so many lifes to live (!) ...
SophiaSharon Larnia: all aspects of the same personality, or different?
Bertram Jacobus: i experience, as a human being, many aspects in me
Bertram Jacobus: and even a shine of infinite ...
    Bertram Jacobus: infinity
SophiaSharon Larnia: smiles at that wording :)
Fael Illyar: It's amazing what one can do when one does not know one can't ;)
SophiaSharon Larnia: i can see this normal personality and sometimes that shine of infinity but not much in between
Bertram Jacobus: knowing is limitation, too *agree*

SophiaSharon Larnia: so is that what an avatar in sl is, touching what is inbetween?

Bertram Jacobus: it´s one of the possibilities only i would say sophia
Bertram Jacobus: and one could ask also, what "in between exactly shall mean (?) ...
Bertram Jacobus: for me, it helps to express a lot, to play with ...
Paradise Tennant: smiles yes to explore flights of fancy !
SophiaSharon Larnia: maybe the 'normal' personality is what is inbetween, at the start an innocent explorer

Bertram Jacobus: and it dissolves the borders of the world as we knew it before net and digital worlds ...

Eden Haiku: Talking sbout dissolving the borders of the world hey?

Eden Haiku: Was at a Kali temple at dusk with an Hindu friend and a few hundred others in a small temple. Dissolving...

SophiaSharon Larnia: did you feel safety in numbers, in a sense Eden?

Eden Haiku: No a bit scared by the crowd.

SophiaSharon Larnia: Eden, does it feel like you are swept up in it and make it easier to dissolve a boundary, with so many others, i know the crowds would be intimidating, but is the intense energy helpful in that way

Eden Haiku: Yes Sophia all my fussiness vanish

    2010.02.21 13:00 - If we can't trust ourselves...

Fael Illyar: Yaku, it's your choice in any case if to trust the information or not.
Fael Illyar: there's no way around that.
Maxine Walden: yes, the opinions outside can jerk us around this way and that...how to develop a steady trajectory...
Fael Illyar: if you trust it because what the source is, you trust yourself to choose the source.
Fael Illyar: why not just trust yourself directly?

Fael Illyar: and yes, everyone has beliefs that turn out to be wrong. Nothing there but to learn and move on.
