The Guardian for this meeting was Eden Haiku. The comments are by Eden Haiku.
A friendly cat
Eden Haiku: Good morning bohemian!
Storm Nordwind: Good morning! :)
Eden Haiku: Untied your hair?
Storm Nordwind: It's always like that now. I don't think it likes the pose!
Storm Nordwind: There
Eden Haiku: Ah yes, it was the pose :)
Eden Haiku: How are you doing Storm?
Storm Nordwind: Not too badly thank you. Surviving the heat. :) And you?
Eden Haiku: Good. Heat is not so intense anymore up the hills.
Eden Haiku:Met a friendly cat this morning :)
Storm Nordwind: :)
Eden Haiku: He was sitting in the flower bed as I opened the curtains.
Adams Rubble: Hello Storm and Eden :)
Storm Nordwind cannot resist a friendly cat
Storm Nordwind: Good morning Adams :)
Eden Haiku: Good morning Adams :)
Storm Nordwind: There's something so compelling about a cat like that. I'm sure part of it is that you feel that royalty has decided to say hello ;)
Eden Haiku: How are things for you?
Eden Haiku: That's quite true Storm:) Was sharing that a royal cat was in the window when I opened the curtains Adams :)
Eden Haiku: Had a shiny striped gray, gold and black coat of fur.
Adams Rubble: :)

A Curate’s Egg
Storm Nordwind: They can be such a relaxation, which is good. But also a great distraction!
Eden Haiku: I went out to greet him and we spent 15 minutes getting acquainted, purring and playing in the grass together. I was in my pyjamas but he didn't mind :)
Eden Haiku: Relaxing animals yes :)
Storm Nordwind cannot unthink that mental image!
Eden Haiku: Wondering how Riddle is enjoying his high school reunion :)
Storm Nordwind: I suspect it may be a Curate's Egg, as these things often are.
Eden Haiku: Ah! Partly good and partly bad, a British expression I see :)
Adams Rubble: wow, long trip to his HS reunion
Storm Nordwind: Yes Eden, from an old cartoon: https://i.imgur.com/hLTeamI.jpg
Eden Haiku: Went to a funeral this week, of a college friend. It was a bit of a reunion :)
Storm Nordwind: Sounds like the happiness outweighed the sadness.
Eden Haiku: She was my best friend but our lives changed directions when she had her first child. We saw each other again once in a while. Last time I saw her was in March.
Adams Rubble: sorry to hear that Eden
Eden Haiku: Yes, she knew and we knew she was dying. Her daughters did a beautiful work with photos and playlist. Her ex-husband was there too, welcoming people. It was sad and joyous, sharing good memories of her and of our youth.
Adams Rubble nods
Eden Haiku: Curate's egg :)
Storm Nordwind smiles and nods
Eden Haiku: Ex-husband was a photograph and they used a picture of her in her twenties by the urn. It went to my heart. She was like that when we first met.
Storm Nordwind: I'm now at an age when I expect to be invited to such occasions more regularly, though moving to America has lessened the frequency. Not quite as in touch with people as I used to be.
Storm Nordwind: That's a touching memory Eden.
Eden Haiku: Ah yes, Storm, I understand. I also notice these occasions are more frequent in my life...
Eden Haiku: And then my mother-in-law of 91 years old was in emergency room...
Eden Haiku: But she's back home and fine, thankfully!
Adams Rubble: :)
Storm Nordwind: Glad to hear it. What a worry.
Eden Haiku: Yeah, we had a few days of curate's egg: being with the deers and having to deal with worries :)
Eden Haiku: Life@!
--BELL--
Eden Haiku: How about your own adventures? Writing course Storm? Exhibit Adams?
Adams Rubble:Adams Dubrovna has put together a new photography exhibit
Storm Nordwind: I finished the poetry course. I have a fictional prose one to look forward to in September. And I'm trying to write every day.And sharing some of the work with friends on Mastodon.
Eden Haiku: That's great Storm! Would you care to share some short poem with us now, maybe?
Storm Nordwind flushes and tries to find an excuse to leave
Eden Haiku: Sorry Adams, I keep confusing both Adams :)
Eden Haiku: Would you have a LM to the Dubrovna photo exhibit Adams?
Adams Rubble: yes but he will be making an announcement today after he takes care of a small matter
Eden Haiku: Oh great! Will make sure to see that. Curious about the Photos theme :)
Adams Rubble:I think the official opening will be on Saturday
Eden Haiku: Oh! That's pretty soon.
Adams Rubble: hmmm, yes :)
Eden Haiku: Saturday isn't good for me though I'm afraid. Time for the Summer Market shopping, socializing and eating out :)
Eden Haiku: But I will find my way to the gallery somehow later :)
Adams Rubble: yes, for me too
Adams Rubble: don't have to be at the opening
Eden Haiku:Pictures Storm looking for his best poem to share :)
Storm Nordwind: hah!
Eden Haiku: Reading his notebooks, typing one :)
Storm Nordwind: OK here's a very short one that I set to this picture: https://i.imgur.com/9HeJSNi.jpg
Storm Nordwind: The theme for that day was "Jewelry"
Eden Haiku: Ah! Thanks.
Eden Haiku: Listening
Eden Haiku: Beautiful picture
Storm Nordwind: . Our mother wears her jewelry, /Her absinthe veils and topaz lights, /Attracting secret lovers who/ Come visiting on fiery nights, /Or stray too close, one last embrace, /One fatal kiss, one fall from grace.
Eden Haiku: Beautiful!
Adams Rubble: nice Storm
Eden Haiku: loves "absinthe veils", what an image!
Storm Nordwind: Thank you Eden! Thank you Adams!
Storm Nordwind: Very often I write free verse, but that one seemed to want rhyme.
Eden Haiku: Both visual and kinesthesic, very nice!
Storm Nordwind: Extra PaB points for anyone who identifies the part of the world in the photo! ;)
Eden Haiku: Sound jewelry :)
Eden Haiku: Looking again...
Eden Haiku: Not sure...
Storm Nordwind: Well as well as the aurora and the sunrise, those are the lights of...
Storm Nordwind: Ireland and the UK.
--BELL--
World Cup
Eden Haiku: Almost said that but UK doesn't look like that on the maps ...
Eden Haiku: No extra PaB points gosh...
Storm Nordwind makes a note ;)
Eden Haiku: Did you watch the World Cup match?
Storm Nordwind: I did yes. I think the only one I watched all the way through.
Storm Nordwind: I wonder who, if anyone, Americans were rooting for.
Eden Haiku: Lucky you. Couldn't find a streaming. Saw the one in 1998 where the France won her first star. But I know nothing about the game so there is not much fun in it for me... Followed the goals on Twitter though..
Storm Nordwind: Ah yes I remember that. I was working in Germany at the time and watched in a hotel restaurant.
Eden Haiku: Here we were rooting for both: we would be happy if France won, as well as Croatia. A smaller country then Quebec and they are a country: 4 millions something. We would have been proud if they won. But then our heart is closer to France...
Eden Haiku: So sad that celebrations turn into riots now...
Storm Nordwind: Fair enough! And I suspect people in England were behind Croatia, France being the old enemy ;)
Eden Haiku: Hehe
Storm Nordwind: Yes. And that's true with American Football too, especially in some cities,
Eden Haiku: The president of Croatia was very supportive of her team it seems
Adams Rubble: that's why she gets the big bucks :)
Storm Nordwind chuckles
Storm Nordwind: Not knowing the rules isn't necessarily a handicap, by the way...
Storm Nordwind: I didn't know the rules of Rugby but I was made to play for a School Team! ;)
Eden Haiku: I only remember Zidane hitting the ball with his head :)
Eden Haiku: No feet, I know that.
Eden Haiku: No they use their feet, no hands rather?
Eden Haiku: Did your team win Storm?
Storm Nordwind: No hands in soccer, except for the goalkeeper
Eden Haiku: Ah!
Storm Nordwind: If you're asking about my old school Rugby Team, I don't recall that they won while I was playing for them!
Eden Haiku: giggles
Eden Haiku: That's what I meant yes. So I guess you were rooting for Croatia Storm?
Storm Nordwind: Mais oui!
--BELL--
Next year the ladies
Eden Haiku: So you lost but apparently they fight well....
Storm Nordwind: I probably won't watch another soccer game for 4 years now
Eden Haiku: ;)
Storm Nordwind: Yes they fought well. It was a game worthy of the tournament.
Adams Rubble: next year the ladies
Eden Haiku: hehe
Storm Nordwind makes a note on the calendar
Eden Haiku: Are there games for the ladies Adams? truly?
Eden Haiku: I know they play soccer too...
Adams Rubble: yes the the US has a great team
Storm Nordwind: And I had a good friend in the UK who captained a woman's Rugby Team representing her city.
Eden Haiku: Oh! And is there a World Cup too? never heard
Storm Nordwind: I seem to recall the US woman's team were doing better than the men's, much to some people's chagrin (though I could be wrong).
Adams Rubble: Hmpfff! The Canadians never pay any attention to what is going on in the US
Adams Rubble giggles
Storm Nordwind: hehe!
Adams Rubble:The men's team gets paid more but the women win
Eden Haiku: It's not a World Cup then? LOL
Storm Nordwind: I'm sure they do Adams. How else would they sell us low cost prescription drugs? ;)
Eden Haiku: I was sure men would get paid more
Adams Rubble: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2019_FIFA_Women%27s_World_Cup
Storm Nordwind: Unequal pay. Sad but true
Storm Nordwind: With a logo only marginally better than that awful thing they used recently.
Adams Rubble: :)
Eden Haiku: Defending champions are the United States wow! Congratulations!!!!
Storm Nordwind: Aha!
Eden Haiku: Unequal pay is something that really has to stop....
Storm Nordwind: Agreed
Eden Haiku: Everywhere!
Adams Rubble: yes!
Adams Rubble: the men get to play on the best fields too
Adams Rubble: it is a real scandal
Eden Haiku: Did you see the trailer of Baron Cohen pretending to be an Israeli counter-terrorist agent who gets real Republicans agree with him that toddlers from 4 years old should be armed for their own security?
Adams Rubble: I did not see it but know about it
Storm Nordwind: Oh I heard something briefly, thinking it was a comedy sketch. What happened?
Eden Haiku: Quite incredible. These gentle looking grandpas wishing guns for toddlers!!!
Storm Nordwind shakes head
Adams Rubble:Kinderguardians
Storm Nordwind: wut?!
Eden Haiku: It's a comedy sketch but the politicians are real and they think he is a real agent
Storm Nordwind: My friends, I have some errands to run. Please excuse me. And thank you for your wonderful company. :))
Adams Rubble: ohh, I must go too
Adams Rubble: have a great day Eden and Storm :)
Adams Rubble: bye for now
Eden Haiku: thanks guys for being here ;) Phone...
