Adams Rubble: Good morning Eden :)
Eden Haiku: You are so elegant Adams :)
Eden Haiku: Always a delight to see you :)
    Adams Rubble: :)
Adams Rubble: You too Eden :)
Adams Rubble: now I see you Eden :)
Eden Haiku: Thanks but I like the subtlety of your elegance best! Good morning Storm :)
Adams Rubble: Good morning Storm :)
Storm Nordwind: Good morning elegant friends! :)
Eden Haiku: How is everyone dealing with the climate change?
Storm Nordwind: Sympathizing with friends all over the place, North America, Canada, Northern Europe.
Adams Rubble: It hasn't been as bad here so far as in most of the rest of the world
Adams Rubble: unsettled weather here but it is keeping the temperatures down
Storm Nordwind: Business as usual here in Colorado
Eden Haiku: same here Adams, but I also worry about all this heat and fires everywhere...
Eden Haiku: A map of the world all in red and oranges...
Adams Rubble: the fires have been terrible and unbelievable at the artic circle
    Eden Haiku: Oh, I didm
    Adams Rubble: in Sweden
    Eden Haiku: Ah yes, Sweden...terrible
Adams Rubble: The US government has stated that climate change is a nationals ecurity issue but they do not believe people have anything to do with it not coal plants, etc etc
    Eden Haiku: Such a denial...
    Adams Rubble whispers They're crazy
Storm Nordwind: "We're not falling into the abyyyyyyyyss..."
Eden Haiku: Economy and profit are the only gods...
Adams Rubble: may I change the subject?
Storm Nordwind: Gods that take care of themselves, it seems, not their worshipers.
    Eden Haiku: Sure Adams :)
Adams Rubble: Last week I learned that my definition of appearance in APAPB was much too narrrow
    Eden Haiku: How so?
    Storm Nordwind: Oh?!
Adams Rubble: I tended to think of sunsets/sunrises, mountain vistas, etc
    Adams Rubble: all good stuff
    Storm Nordwind: Ah
Adams Rubble: not thinking at all about all the foul stuff my mind was cranking out
Adams Rubble: uhappiness due to mind out of control si also appearance
Eden Haiku: Appearance playing as presence of Being? Is that the right definition of the acronym?
    Adams Rubble: presentation fo Being
    Adams Rubble: of
Storm Nordwind: Whatever one perceives as appearance
    Eden Haiku: ok. tks
Adams Rubble: so I am trying to appreciation what arises in me
    Adams Rubble: appreciate
Eden Haiku: Logical that the stuff is also presnetation...:)
Adams Rubble slaps the typing fingers making typos
    Eden Haiku: *presentation
Adams Rubble: not yours Eden :)
Eden Haiku: Aprreciating Adams fingers making typos :)
    --BELL--
    Eden Haiku: I knew :)
Storm Nordwind notes APAPB = appreciate the presence of appearance as a presentation by Being
Adams Rubble: all the fires, storms and other manifestations of climate change are also appearance
Adams Rubble: all the bad behavior by giovernments are appearance
Eden Haiku: Lord Rudra dancing of the ashes, yes, I see...
Adams Rubble: they are more in that they have physical results though
Storm Nordwind: In the notion of "presentation", is there not an implication of choice? Presumably in this case by Being?
Adams Rubble: but the fires are natural result of people making the world hotter
Adams Rubble: so in that sense Being
    Adams Rubble: karma?
Eden Haiku: But we do have preferences don't we? For clean water and mild temperatures and breathable air?
    Eden Haiku: Life-sustaining conditions
Adams Rubble: let's hope so Eden :)
    Adams Rubble: people haven
    Adams Rubble: whoops
Adams Rubble: people haven't made the connection between their actions and the results
Eden Haiku: I see what you mean Adams. The death wishes of many are creating these presentations of appearance.
Adams Rubble: people haven is clean air and water
Eden Haiku: I know I use much more plastic than I should...even though I recycle...
Adams Rubble: I don;t think it is death wish as much as lack of concern for their children and grandchildren
Eden Haiku: Same same: death wish for the species
Adams Rubble: the earth will b fine without homo sapiens
    Eden Haiku: A deer visiting!
Eden Haiku: She's there almost every day now. Sometimes with the fawns...
Adams Rubble: It is very hard to not use plastics. It is even hard to refuse straws in rstaurants because some places put them in before they serve the beverages
Adams Rubble: I was picking up plastics along the river yesterday
Storm Nordwind: I always need spare paper straws as I destroy them one by one
    Adams Rubble: so sad
Adams Rubble: sad to the garbage strewn on the river bank not Storm's straws
Eden Haiku: And videos of the plastic sea in the ocean...
Adams Rubble: unbelievable what we are doing
    Storm Nordwind: In the gyres
Eden Haiku: Spiraling into apocalypse it seems: APAPB...
    --BELL--
Adams Rubble: there are some who think apocalypse is a good thing
Eden Haiku: I notice I have a tendency to be grateful for what is still there but then I get scared fires are coming and devastation...
Eden Haiku: Apocalypse as being a good thing Adams?
Storm Nordwind: Let our Mother take a breather, perhaps
Adams Rubble: every little battle for trees and forest is a step away
Adams Rubble: There are right wing Christians who believe that apocalypse will bring the second coming of Christ (who will make heaven safe for white people Rubble says sarcastically)
Eden Haiku: Have you heard of the Wood Wide Web?
    Adams Rubble: no
    Storm Nordwind: http://woodwideweb.no/
Eden Haiku: Just learning about it. Been reading "The Secret Life of Trees", Amazing.
Eden Haiku: Wow, you are a fast googler Storm :) Thanks!
Storm Nordwind never uses Google ;)
Adams Rubble wonders if the verb "to google" requires Google search tool
Adams Rubble: Storm googles with Duick duck go
Storm Nordwind shrugs, and continues to use the superior DuckDuckGo :)
Eden Haiku: Ducktogoer then? I have been living among trees for almost 15 years, three months a year and I was so ignorant about their lives. Felt their presence for sure but knowing how organized they are is fascinating!
Storm Nordwind: I have been used to trees most of my life. Here even the ones people call lush and mature are smaller than what I'm used to. They adapt, as perhaps should I!
Eden Haiku: Remembering climbing on a 700 year old tree in the Lake District in England...
    Storm Nordwind: Ah yes! :)
Eden Haiku: Amazingly comfortable, feeling so secure up there :)à
Eden Haiku: Not on top, just a few feet from the earth but still, so huge a tree!
Storm Nordwind: Wonderful memory!. And I remember leaning against 1200 year old yew trees. I had a staff salvaged from an old fallen yew
Eden Haiku: Looking up yew to find out what it is in French...
Storm Nordwind: Apparently it is l'if
Storm Nordwind: Not a French word I have seen before
Eden Haiku: Had to google translate because I din't recognize the definition: it's a- if-, the ones we see in Italian gardens :)
    Storm Nordwind: https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/If_commun
    Eden Haiku: Thanks :)
    --BELL--
Eden Haiku: Here is a link about the Wood Wide Web: https://e360.yale.edu/features/exploring_how_and_why_trees_talk_to_each_other
Eden Haiku: " A forest is a cooperative system".
    Storm Nordwind nods
Eden Haiku: When a tree dies it "dumps" all his nutrients and energy force into the ground, nurturing all other trees of the same species to which it is connected by the roots....
    Eden Haiku: *its nutrients
Storm Nordwind: It is a good example to humans, though perhaps humans could manage to do it while alive (please)
    Eden Haiku: Please yes :)
Eden Haiku: I used to tease Adams it was the moment her secret arrived. I promised not to tease her anymore about it :)
Eden Haiku: Her secret ¨lover: I meant... :)
Eden Haiku: But my mouth is now sealed :)
Adams Rubble: we have spent a good bit of time appreciating the presence of the appearance of trees this morning :)
    Storm Nordwind: :)
Eden Haiku: Sweet Adams, she's so forgiving :)
Eden Haiku: Yes we did Adams! Trees are pleasant to focus on aren't they?
Adams Rubble: yes like sunsets/sunrises and mountain vistas :)
    --BELL--
Eden Haiku: We do have our strong preferences :)
Adams Rubble: I was born into a laboratory experient about the importance of trees
Eden Haiku: But it's good to remember that firs and wars and polluted waters are also Being.
Adams Rubble: I was born in the inner city with row after row of row houses and no trees in sight
Adams Rubble: in the summer I remember the unbearable heat
    Eden Haiku: Oh wow...
Adams Rubble: my grandparents had a farm and the farmhouse was surropunded by tall trees
Adams Rubble: every Sunday we went into the country and enjoyed the shade of the trees
Eden Haiku: And you noticed the great feeling of being with trees?
Eden Haiku: Wonderful memory Adams :)
Adams Rubble: every summer I would spend a wee3k or two there and remember the unbearable heat hoing the vegetable garden buit then playing under the canopy near the house
Adams Rubble: yes, trees make human life bearable :)
    Adams Rubble: .me loves trees
Eden Haiku: Sweet memories of early sensations, beautiful.
Eden Haiku: When we are connected to our bodily sensations we are much more prone to take care of the earth aren't we?
    Adams Rubble nods
Eden Haiku: Accepting all there is but then making choices.
Adams Rubble: yes plant trees :)
    Eden Haiku: smiles
Adams Rubble wouldn't mind missing the apocalypse
Eden Haiku: Neither would I :)
Storm Nordwind: I'm sure my grandchildren share your wish
Adams Rubble: yes, plant trees for all the grandchildren
Eden Haiku: Grandchildren Storm? It.'s new isn'it?
Storm Nordwind: Not new. I just don't usually mention them :)
Eden Haiku: Nice to hear you are a grandpa:)
Eden Haiku: I only have grandnephews and grandnieces and I love them soooo much :)
Storm Nordwind: A wild and woolly grandpa that my children despair of but I suspect my grandchildren prefer ;)
    Adams Rubble: :)
    Eden Haiku: smiles
Eden Haiku: You must be such an inspiration for the little ones :) They ¨feel¨people so much.
    Storm Nordwind: :)
Eden Haiku: These brand new human beings might bring much hope when they grow up!
Storm Nordwind: Let's give them a world they deserve then!
Eden Haiku: Yes, let's hope it won't be too late...
    Adams Rubble nods
Eden Haiku: Step by step, we can do a little...
    Eden Haiku: It's 11h11 here.
    Adams Rubble: and here
Eden Haiku: I like it when numbers align like that :)
Eden Haiku: An angel manifests it seems
Eden Haiku: That's the only way I understand maths
    Eden Haiku: As mystic manifestations
Adams Rubble: thank you for the discussion this morning :)
    Adams Rubble: hehe Eden
Eden Haiku: Yes, thank you for sharing your story about trees Adams. I enjoyed it very much.
    Eden Haiku: Precious memories.
Adams Rubble: sadly those streets are still treeless today but I live with lots of trees
Eden Haiku: Would you mind sharing again the link to the photo gallery of Dubrovna? Think I lost it,.
    --BELL--
    Adams Rubble: oh yes Eden
Eden Haiku: Singapour now has many high rises with vegetal roofs and so on. I think you lived there Storm? Was it like that then?
Storm Nordwind: I was 200 miles to the north. But yes, trees are valued, and replaced where people eventually see the error of their ways.
Eden Haiku: cement Factory Gallery, thanks Adams. May I post the link in the log?
Adams Rubble: yes, if you like but the exhibit will change in time of course
    Eden Haiku: Sure, thanks.
Adams Rubble: I must get back, thanks again Eden and Storm :)
Eden Haiku: Thank you for being here elegant friend :)
    Storm Nordwind: Thank you Adams
Storm Nordwind: And me too actually
Eden Haiku: Thank you too wooly Storm :)
Eden Haiku: Always nice to see you :)
Storm Nordwind: Thank you Eden once again for the best possible start to the week! :)
