The Guardian for this meeting was Eliza. The comments are by Agatha.

    Agatha Macbeth: Lizzie ♥
    Eliza Madrigal: HelllooooOoooOooooOOoooOooooo
    Agatha Macbeth: We haz bubbles
Eliza Madrigal: you are looking especially stylish today
Agatha Macbeth: Well I do try :)
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
    Eliza Madrigal: What's our topic?
Agatha Macbeth: If you're up for inexpensive mesh clothing try http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlif...hine/45/170/27
    Agatha Macbeth: Recommended
    Eliza Madrigal: thanks :)
Agatha Macbeth: That's not the topic by the way
    Eliza Madrigal: >whew<
    Agatha Macbeth: Right

Agatha Macbeth: I've been here nine years
Eliza Madrigal: you would have to give a one sided lecture, were that the topic
    Agatha Macbeth nods
    Eliza Madrigal: me too
Agatha Macbeth: You were eight months before me
Eliza Madrigal: eight months? arriving in SL?
    Agatha Macbeth: Yep
Agatha Macbeth: Sep me Jan you
Eliza Madrigal: ah :) I always feel I arrived a little late, in 2009
Agatha Macbeth: How did you find PaB originally, remind me?
Eliza Madrigal: I was interested in the meditation sites, and buddhist sims.... so by the time I found PaB I was hosting meditations at Zen Retreat
    Agatha Macbeth: Ah right
Eliza Madrigal: It seems like a long time between the two things, but it was very short
Agatha Macbeth: Is that in Rieul?
Eliza Madrigal: A friend thought I would like it, so we hopped into Storm's balloon
    Eliza Madrigal: yes
    Agatha Macbeth: Hehe
    Eliza Madrigal: the outdoor zendo
Eliza Madrigal: I happened to arrive on a very lively night
Agatha Macbeth: Think it's near where I live actually
Eliza Madrigal: when Pema was there
    Agatha Macbeth: Sounds familiar
    Agatha Macbeth nods
Eliza Madrigal: Oh? You are living there now?
Agatha Macbeth: I live in Rieul yes, not far from our old pavilion
Agatha Macbeth: I must look out your first log
Agatha Macbeth: D'you recall the month?
Eliza Madrigal: The amazing thing about SL was (maybe is for those now finding it or still actively exploring), that I began following what I was interested in and there was no ceiling to it... I was hosting meditations before I was even an established meditator
Eliza Madrigal: Hm, not sure... just a few months though
Agatha Macbeth: In at the deep end
Agatha Macbeth: I'm sure I'll find it
Agatha Macbeth: I love reading the old stuff
    Eliza Madrigal: like what? :)
Agatha Macbeth: Like PaB logs :P
Agatha Macbeth: It was all so fresh back then
Eliza Madrigal: Oh... wait, I can't believe I forgot, but I arrived to PaB on Valentines Day
    Agatha Macbeth: Oh how apt
    Eliza Madrigal: https://wiki.playasbeing.org/Chat_Logs/2009/02/2009.02.14_19%3a00_-_Roots_Not_Fruits_and_SL_as_a_New_Country?highlight=BB
Agatha Macbeth: A nine year love affair
    Agatha Macbeth: Woot
    Eliza Madrigal: Indeed :)
Agatha Macbeth: I'll take a look after
Eliza Madrigal: What was your first session?
Agatha Macbeth: Oh I remember it well
Agatha Macbeth: It was coincidentally Yaku's first as guardian
    Agatha Macbeth: Sep 2009
Eliza Madrigal: Oh :))) A Friday?
Eliza Madrigal: That soon after arriving in SL?
Agatha Macbeth: It's actually called Yakuza's First Log :P
    Agatha Macbeth: Yes
    Eliza Madrigal smiles
Agatha Macbeth: Oh I found PaB first within a week of arriving!
Agatha Macbeth: I kept hiding on the roof cos I was so shy
Eliza Madrigal: and you 'happened upon' it, right? No one pointed it out to you?
Agatha Macbeth: Eventually Wol persuaded me to come down
Eliza Madrigal: :) So you were like Observrm
Agatha Macbeth: Well I landed at Hanja welcome centre and just happened to head north
Agatha Macbeth: Had I gone another way who knows? :p
Eliza Madrigal: Do you remember what you were interested in just before you came into SL? What piqued your curiosity and brought you in?
Agatha Macbeth: The first thing I found was Storm's observatory
Agatha Macbeth: I found SL totally by accident too
    Agatha Macbeth: Serendipity
    Eliza Madrigal: :) Kismet
Agatha Macbeth: I saw and advert for Plausible Bodies on google and wondered what it was
    --BELL--1.15
Agatha Macbeth: It looked really interesting so I tried to find out what 'Second Life' was
Eliza Madrigal: What was Plausible Bodies in the first place?
Agatha Macbeth: It's er a place that sells fetish wear, latex mostly :p
    Eliza Madrigal: aha :D
Agatha Macbeth: It's still there in the same place amazingly
Agatha Macbeth: Trying to remember who runs it
Eliza Madrigal: were you seeking in any kind of existential sense, too?
Agatha Macbeth: Rosalynd Turbo that's it
    Eliza Madrigal: ty :)
    Agatha Macbeth: Existential...who, what? :p
    Eliza Madrigal: hehe
Eliza Madrigal: I thought I was coming into SL for music, originally :)
    Agatha Macbeth: Oh
    Agatha Macbeth: What kind?
Eliza Madrigal: I first heard of it on twitter, because Coldplay was advertising an inworld concert for Obama
    Agatha Macbeth: Great
Eliza Madrigal: but I didn't have the best computer then, so waited until tax time
    Eliza Madrigal smiles
    Agatha Macbeth: Hehe
Agatha Macbeth: Never a bad ploy
Eliza Madrigal: It was a weird time for me, SL, and then PaB was such a godsend
    Agatha Macbeth: Health worries?
Eliza Madrigal: many things... health worries which were limiting my life, but also changes I knew I needed to make but wasn't brave enough to
    Agatha Macbeth nods
Agatha Macbeth: Change is usually challenging
Eliza Madrigal: I'd been meditating just a few months, and that was helping, after a year of therapy
Agatha Macbeth: So you found SL at just the right time
Eliza Madrigal: yes, I think SL/Kira/PaB 'activated' what I'd been building
Eliza Madrigal: took me out of context
Eliza Madrigal: Did you experience it as a big shift?
    Agatha Macbeth: https://wiki.playasbeing.org/Chat_Logs/2009/09/2009.09.25_13%3a00_-_Yakuzza%c2%b4s_first_log
    Eliza Madrigal: aha, ty!
    Agatha Macbeth: There we go
Eliza Madrigal: Oh, I was there :)
Agatha Macbeth: I experienced it as a voyage of discovery
    Agatha Macbeth: You were :)
    Agatha Macbeth: I remember well
Eliza Madrigal: it was a pretty full session, and onigokko too :))
Agatha Macbeth: Yaku Wol QT Sharon
    Agatha Macbeth: Mick too
Agatha Macbeth: All the old faces
Eliza Madrigal: ever youthful faces ^.^
    Agatha Macbeth: Mm
    Agatha Macbeth: Specially Maxine :)
    Eliza Madrigal: :)

    Of mice and elephants...
Eliza Madrigal: I was thinking about Pila a lot today, because it is the first day of Ganesha festivals in India
Agatha Macbeth: And Riddle too until very recently
    Agatha Macbeth: Oh great
Agatha Macbeth: Yes I hope he's well
Eliza Madrigal: He first pointed out Ganesha's little mouse.... hadn't seen it before
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
    Agatha Macbeth: Little mouse?
Eliza Madrigal: strange the things that stick
Eliza Madrigal: yes... if you look at images of Ganesh, there is a little mouse
Agatha Macbeth: Aren't elephants supposed to be scared of mice?
Eliza Madrigal: That makes it cute, but maybe that's just a western story
Eliza Madrigal: There are various stories associated with the mouse... but mainly, it was a Lord of some sort who was turned into the mouse
Agatha Macbeth: Like the OK Corral
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
    Agatha Macbeth: Oh how interesting
Agatha Macbeth: Must look that up
Eliza Madrigal: I like this one, on wiki: Another belief is that Lord Ganesha is able to go into nooks and corners of the world and do his job as the Destroyer of Obstacles because his vehicle is a mouse, who basically can slither through tiny holes and narrow pathways, even in the darkness of night. This gives the quality of all-pervasiveness to Ganesha.
    Agatha Macbeth: Nice
Eliza Madrigal: Sounds like someone stretching the story a bit, but I like that quality
Agatha Macbeth: He does the big stuff and the mouse does the small stuff
Eliza Madrigal: wide as sky and fine as flour
Agatha Macbeth: So there's nowhere they can't go as long as they stick together
    Eliza Madrigal: aw, nice reading
    --BELL--1.30
    Agatha Macbeth smiles
Agatha Macbeth: Like the blind man and the lame man
Eliza Madrigal: Here is a cute excerpt from my first session: Eliza Madrigal: I actually found SL a little too real for the first few days...thought "I'm not sure about my own boundaries here..." Hah Magdalena Colclough nods Pema Pera: yes, that makes a lot of sense! Eliza Madrigal: And everyone would start conversations by telling me to watch out for other people hah Magdalena Colclough: but for me, that's one of it's advantages--it's a relatively safe place to explore my boundaries, to push them a little
Eliza Madrigal: I have nervous laughter even in chat text :::sighs::::
Eliza Madrigal: but those lines say a lot
Agatha Macbeth: So wherever they went together no place was closed to them
Agatha Macbeth: One carried the other and the other was his eyes
Agatha Macbeth: Think it was from Ben Hur
    Agatha Macbeth: Nervous laugh?
Eliza Madrigal: oooh, sorry, that's really lovely.
    Agatha Macbeth: Yeh
    Agatha Macbeth: It is
Agatha Macbeth: I wonder if Magdalena is still around
Eliza Madrigal: so many people who aren't around, or who may be around in other forms
Eliza Madrigal: guess it is part of 'allowing' to let them float away like these bubbles
Agatha Macbeth: It's a shame when they don't float back tho
Eliza Madrigal: Maybe. Sometimes I have that feeling like the song bleu shared.. stayed too long at the fair
Eliza Madrigal: Still so much potential, but not wanting to hold life in place
Agatha Macbeth: Well the fair moves on, PaB is still here
Eliza Madrigal: :) the (rezzed) bubbles were going in the same basic path, which is a bit maddening
Agatha Macbeth: On a similar theme, I finally added RL Fael to my friend list on FB
    Eliza Madrigal: Oh! :D
Agatha Macbeth: So will be good to be back in touch
Agatha Macbeth: I just have to translate Finnish now :P
    Eliza Madrigal giggles
Agatha Macbeth: My SL neighbour is from Finland oddly
Eliza Madrigal: on twitter, french and korean are easily translated... I don't think I follow any finnish friends there
    Eliza Madrigal: ah, nice
Agatha Macbeth: Well google translate makes a fair job of it
Eliza Madrigal: I'm often translating Japanese with google and it can be pretty bad :))
Agatha Macbeth: Enough to get the gist anyways, even if not always grammatical ;-)
    Agatha Macbeth grins
Eliza Madrigal: yeah, who needs grammar :P
    Agatha Macbeth: Nerds
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
    Agatha Macbeth: Like me

Liz has a cunning plan My Lord...
Eliza Madrigal: So i was thinking about the book thing btw... and I've sort of come to a plan
    Agatha Macbeth: Ooh
Eliza Madrigal: It is this: if people want to go through The Path, I will outline and make some prep ahead of time
Eliza Madrigal: and I will only begin sessions after I've done all that to an extent which, if I'm not here, there will still be a basic foundation to work with
    Agatha Macbeth: What's The Path?
Eliza Madrigal: So, instead of feeling that I let others/myself down, there will be some inspiration
Agatha Macbeth: You never let anyone down
Eliza Madrigal: It is the book Bleu and Storm mentioned before. I think it is light and deep enough to work with as a group... all kinds of basics that everyone has their own knowledges to add to
    Agatha Macbeth: Ah
Eliza Madrigal: but if others prefer another book before that, it would be fine
Agatha Macbeth: Dunno it, but I'll check
Eliza Madrigal: I think I'd just like to do it, so, some motivation
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
    Agatha Macbeth: Yep
    Agatha Macbeth: Great
Agatha Macbeth: We' need to wait til everyone is back
    Agatha Macbeth: Tura specially
Eliza Madrigal: or call them back soon :)
Agatha Macbeth: Wonder how her drumming went
Eliza Madrigal: It may take a while for me to give time to this anyway
    Agatha Macbeth: Of course
Eliza Madrigal: I'm sure it was wonderful... how could it not be? :))
Agatha Macbeth: When you feel able
Eliza Madrigal: When does work get busy for you again?
Agatha Macbeth: Maybe end of November til Yule
    --BELL--1.45
Eliza Madrigal: Mmm, so will be mindful of that too
Agatha Macbeth: December is always hectic :p
Agatha Macbeth: At least I'm not doing the advent calendar for Oxbridge like I did last year
    Agatha Macbeth: Whew
    Eliza Madrigal: no?
    Eliza Madrigal: wasn't it fun?
Agatha Macbeth: When it was over it was!
    Eliza Madrigal grins
Agatha Macbeth: But Phrynne's taking it over herself again this time
Agatha Macbeth: I only really volunteered to give her breathing space
Eliza Madrigal: that's great though... I didn't realize you'd been actively facilitating that
    Agatha Macbeth nods
Agatha Macbeth: Another thing was there were no surprises cos I knew what was in the boxes!
Eliza Madrigal: and you can't see expressions in SL, of others' excitement opening things :)
Agatha Macbeth: Took away the mystery
Eliza Madrigal: well, with some you can
    Agatha Macbeth smiles
Eliza Madrigal: I will have finished this course by December, so should be wild and free, unless someone offers me a great job... want to do lost of SL ice skating
    Eliza Madrigal: lots*
Eliza Madrigal: while getting lost, too :D
Agatha Macbeth: But Gronk said the gifts were above par for the usual so that was gratifying
    Eliza Madrigal: very nice
Agatha Macbeth: Yes we must go skating together
Agatha Macbeth: No more Stormy rink :(
Agatha Macbeth: That was always fun

Eliza Madrigal: hahah, skimming Agatha's first session:
Eliza Madrigal: Agatha Macbeth: What are these people on? Wol Euler laughs Wol Euler: we're high on Being, baby. Agatha Macbeth: Vampires and Slug Racing in one evening?
    Agatha Macbeth: Yeh
Agatha Macbeth: I remember it well
Eliza Madrigal: cute... that is so very PaB, that weird balance
Eliza Madrigal: of astute and base
Eliza Madrigal: and wild and tame
Agatha Macbeth: And Lucille called me away halfway through, then I came back
Eliza Madrigal: :) elephant and mouse
    Eliza Madrigal: Lucille?
Agatha Macbeth: Yeppers (as Bruce would say)
Agatha Macbeth: Oh, a French girl I met early on in SL
Agatha Macbeth: Don't think she's around any more
    Eliza Madrigal: floated away
    Agatha Macbeth: Like so many
    Agatha Macbeth: Yeh
Agatha Macbeth: It took a while for me to realise she was a lesbian :P
Agatha Macbeth: I was so raw back then
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Eliza Madrigal: well in SL there are interesting combinations for everyone
Agatha Macbeth: I used to try to find females only sims to avoid being stalked and got stalked by women even more :D
    Agatha Macbeth sighs
    Agatha Macbeth: Happy days
Eliza Madrigal: a friend was telling me in IM about his relationship in SL, and how it had broken up because he was polyamourous...and I said, "but isn't SL itself polyamourous? Not to mention polygenderous, etc.
    Agatha Macbeth: Think it's poly-everything
Agatha Macbeth: 'Sweet dreams are made of this' etc.
Eliza Madrigal: I was kidding... I know enough people who began committed relationships here, but, it is that 'boundaries' thing... all the qualities in play
Agatha Macbeth: That song could be about SL
Agatha Macbeth: Well it's always best to be wary
Eliza Madrigal: I don't do enough in SL, or venture into interesting enough places, to have to be wary
    Eliza Madrigal: anymore ^.^
Agatha Macbeth: Well, some of us venture further afield ;-)
    Eliza Madrigal smiles
Eliza Madrigal: you're pretty careful I'm sure
Agatha Macbeth: Oh I'm the least impulsive person on the planet
Agatha Macbeth: I can't do anything without having a conference with myself first
Eliza Madrigal: I used to think SL was the best place to fall in love... the whole inside-out first thing :)
Eliza Madrigal: you are? a little surprising
    Agatha Macbeth: Mm, depends
Eliza Madrigal: but just a little
    Agatha Macbeth: Yep
    --BELL--2.00
Agatha Macbeth: I think I should have been born in Asia, I have more that mentality
Agatha Macbeth: I relate to the Japanese and Chinese
Eliza Madrigal: in general reserve or stoicism?
Agatha Macbeth: Just in world view basically
Agatha Macbeth: Very Taoist I think
Agatha Macbeth: Minimal rather than maximal
    Eliza Madrigal: Ah
Agatha Macbeth: I prefer things simple to complex
Agatha Macbeth: And tend to put together rather than take apart
Agatha Macbeth: The Tao of Physics has a really good chapter on that
Eliza Madrigal: I think that I do too, or at least that is what I aspire toward... if not for my shadow self who keeps dragging me into mischief
    Agatha Macbeth: Mischief, you?
Eliza Madrigal: :) I think you'll like The Path
    Agatha Macbeth: Hard to believe
    Eliza Madrigal laughs
    Agatha Macbeth: We'll see hopefully

Agatha Macbeth: Want to see where I live?
Eliza Madrigal: there is a chapter on Tao, and on Confucionism, etc
Agatha Macbeth: If you have time
    Agatha Macbeth nods
Eliza Madrigal: Sure, I have a moment... JV is making dinner tonight
    Agatha Macbeth: Woot
    Eliza Madrigal: I agree

And off to Rieul we went...
