    Storms over the Atlantic

Eden Haiku: Good morning Adams :)
    Riddle Sideways: Adams, morning
Adams Rubble: Good morning Riddle and Eden; Eden and Riddle :)
Riddle Sideways: had to get coffee, both real and virtual
Riddle Sideways: and then there were cakes
Eden Haiku: Riddle and I were trying to have coffee at my picnic table, but my tea time skills are so rusted :)
    Adams Rubble: :)
Riddle Sideways: Eden, is providing tooo much
Eden Haiku: Cakes and cucumber sandwiches are a bit too much at this early hour :)
Riddle Sideways: the sun is just up
Adams Rubble: I think the outer fringes of Florence may have arrived at our doorstep this morning. The air is warm and thick but the clouds seem to have little distinction
Adams Rubble: It is supposed to pass over us on the way out to sea
Eden Haiku: Hopes it does so Adams...
Adams Rubble: but our effects will be minimal
Riddle Sideways: it goes back out to sea
Adams Rubble: it may reform when it gets out past New England and the eastern coast of Canada
Riddle Sideways: was busy and did not check hurricane nor typhoon news this weekend
Adams Rubble: meanwile Joyce is doing loop-de-loops in the eastern Atlantic
Riddle Sideways: that sounds so delightful
Riddle Sideways: Joyce is doing loop-de-loops
Eden Haiku: You had a busy week end Riddle?
Adams Rubble: all of the storms that have had direct hits on NJ seem to be storms that did loop-de-loops
Eden Haiku: Loop-de-loops storms :) Sound funny...
Riddle Sideways: "Storms" sound bad, "Joyce" sounds nice
    Eden Haiku: smiles
Adams Rubble: Raining leonard and molly blloms
    Adams Rubble: blooms
    Riddle Sideways: :)) laughs
Eden Haiku: Is it that day today?
Eden Haiku: Joyce... ah, I get it!
Adams Rubble: Riddle said a storm named Joyce sounded nice
    Eden Haiku: Slow this morning...
    Adams Rubble: me too
    Eden Haiku: smiles

    Life Living US

Adams Rubble: I have been playing with a 2009 suggestion from our dear leader of that time
    Eden Haiku: Yes?
    Adams Rubble: Life Living Us.
Riddle Sideways: yes, read that, but now forgotten
Adams Rubble: or we are the dance and life is dancing us
    Riddle Sideways: and the dance
Adams Rubble: I know he was trying to get us to change our viewpoint but it is a koan to me
    Eden Haiku: Lila dancing :)
Riddle Sideways: thought it was plain, until really thought through and it became a koan also
    Eden Haiku: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lila_(Hinduism)
    Riddle Sideways: thank you
Eden Haiku: Life living us...Dancing us...
Adams Rubble: Interesting Eden. I did not know about this
Eden Haiku: Hard for a wave to know its the ocean
Adams Rubble: but Pema said we are the dance
Adams Rubble: Ahhh, Thich Nhat Hanh said an enlightened wave knows it is water :)

    --BELL--

Adams Rubble:so we are the dance and life does the dance...
    Adams Rubble: /me's head explodes
Eden Haiku: humm, yes, sounds like it...
Riddle Sideways: "... called lila, the play of God,..."
Eden Haiku: Which parts of your head are gone into the explosion Adams?
    Riddle Sideways: interesting question

And we are Playing as Being

Adams Rubble: so Lila is Being and Being is playing usand we are Playing as Being (last part an ad)
    Eden Haiku: hehe
Adams Rubble: I don’t understand how we are the dance for one
Eden Haiku: We are indeed, playing as Being :)
Riddle Sideways: under the spell of maya
Riddle Sideways: we play and are played
Eden Haiku: Ok, let's start there: how are we the dance?
    Riddle Sideways: /listen while danced
    Eden Haiku: onigokko
    Adams Rubble settles into Hinduism
    Eden Haiku: stop
    Eden Haiku: Humm, sorry :)
    Adams Rubble: :)
    Eden Haiku: Music still on?
Riddle Sideways: and the music played on
    Riddle Sideways: and nobody danced?
    Eden Haiku: Took it off...
    Eden Haiku: Phew...
    Riddle Sideways: timing thang
Riddle Sideways: added just at stop
Adams Rubble: dancing is about timing
Eden Haiku: Adams is now Playing as Lila, in a beautiful safran sari :)
Riddle Sideways: SL is event driven, if 2 events happen at the same time, well ...
    Eden Haiku: Ah!
Eden Haiku: So are we the dance?
Adams Rubble: how can do events happen at once if there are no events at alllllll---lllll (giggles)
Riddle Sideways: which dashes the "Time is what keeps everything have happening at the same itself"
Adams Rubble: yes, we are the dance
Adams Rubble: we might ask what is a dance?
Adams Rubble: parse that word :)
Riddle Sideways: giggle, now that song is stuck
Adams Rubble: sorry Riddle, couldn't resist
Adams Rubble: for some a dance is a series of diagrams on a piece of paper
Riddle Sideways: to some, movement in time
Adams Rubble: series of steps and series of arm movements and series of body movements
Eden Haiku: hummm a tango, a waltz, some polka, some charleston, the twist and the boogie-boogie and the Gangnyang dance
    Adams Rubble: :)
Riddle Sideways: going through the motions
Riddle Sideways: life plays the music
Adams Rubble: not to mention belly dance, flamenco, salsa and waltz and the Twist
Eden Haiku: Had waltz and twist in my list :)
    Adams Rubble: ohhh, sorry
    Eden Haiku: Break dancing
Riddle Sideways: ok, to repeat the good ones
    Eden Haiku: :)
    Adams Rubble: Bollywood
Eden Haiku: Bollywood dancing is the best example of Lila!
Adams Rubble: Thinking of lila reminds me of Shiva
Riddle Sideways: wonders how to speel whaa-toosy
Adams Rubble: there is the dance of life and the dance of destruction

    --BELL--

    Heads expanding towards explosion

Eden Haiku: Both dances danced by the same Shiva who is then called Nataraja.
Adams Rubble: so Lila is Vishnu?
Adams Rubble: Ohh, Shiva does both--did not realize that
Eden Haiku: No, Lila is a concept rather than a goddess
Adams Rubble: oooh the activities of Vishnu?
Eden Haiku: Vishnu has two avatars: Rama and Krishna.
    Adams Rubble: 10 avatars :)
    Riddle Sideways: 2 Alts?
Adams Rubble: used to be able to name them all :)
Eden Haiku: Two main alts, yes. :)
Adams Rubble: Vishnu would be the typist
Eden Haiku: Yes, you are right there are others, much less known. The future one is called Maitreya in buddhism but has another one in hindouism...
    Adams Rubble: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dashavatara
    Adams Rubble: list of avatars
Riddle Sideways: hmmm, and Maitreya is one of the SL mesh body makers
Adams Rubble: future god called Kalki
Eden Haiku: In fact the three Gods of hindouism are creating a kind of trinity (sounds familiar?): Brahma creates the world, Vishnu maintains it and Shiva destroys it so it can be reborn...
Adams Rubble: and then there is Devi who some consider most powerful
Eden Haiku: Steps down from her hindu soapbox :)
Adams Rubble: it is interesting Eden, we have a slightly different understanding of things--did not know about Lila
Eden Haiku: Thanks for the link Adams. Kalki, yes, that's the one buddhist called Maitreya. Never realized Buddha was considered an incarnation of Vishnu...
    Adams Rubble: to the Vaishnites
Adams Rubble 's knowledge of Hinduism is based on the art
Eden Haiku: Yes, hindouism is very complex: they have an infinity of gods and goddesses. I used to think there was a god for every door or treshold when I lived in India :)
Adams Rubble: concepts are not always illuistrated :)
Adams Rubble: where did you live in India, eden?
Riddle Sideways: somehow trusts Wikipedia to explain that Vishnu had Alts. That Rama, Krishna and Buddha were Alts.
Eden Haiku: Riddle, seeing Maitreya as the creator of the mesh body sounds quite appropriate as well as Adams seeing Vishnu as the typist :)
Riddle Sideways: head is expanding toward explosion
    Eden Haiku: Hehe
Adams Rubble offers Riddle her head fixer kit
    Riddle Sideways: tanks
    Adams Rubble: whoops brb
Eden Haiku: Lived in Maharashtra, in a remote rural area about two hours from Mumbai. It was called Ganeshpuri. The ashram was located there. Also traveled to Mumbai and to Tamil Nadu: Chidambaram and Pondicherry.
    Eden Haiku:Head is exploding too
Riddle Sideways: hard to differentiate expansion from explosion
Eden Haiku: Especially after exploring siberian and mongolian rites over the whole week-end in a shamanic circle..
Riddle Sideways: hmmm, know very little of Siberian

    --BELL--

Eden Haiku: We jumped right into the shamanic practices. The Siberian mask and costumes and toli for channeling one of our ancestors was mesmerizing!
Adams Rubble back and starting to read
Adams Rubble asks one more India question before listening about Eden's weekend: did you get to any of the caves near Mumbai?
Eden Haiku: We were 10 participants: as soon as one was putting on the empowered Siberian costume (we all used the same, taking turns), the person merged with his/her ancestor and it was incredible. It was soooo beautiful!
Eden Haiku: I was in Elephanta Adams. It's magical!
    Adams Rubble: :)
Eden Haiku: But never saw Ajanta
    Adams Rubble: thank you
Eden Haiku: So Life is Living Us, is it?
Eden Haiku: Dance is Dancing Us?
Eden Haiku: Never saw Ajanta in RL but visited in SL, thank to Adams Dubrovna :)
Adams Rubble: how did you pick which ancestor to merge with?
Eden Haiku: We travel to the upper or the netherworld to meet the ancestor beforehand.
    Riddle Sideways: the dance partner
Adams Rubble: it would be hard for me to choose
Eden Haiku: Michael Harner decscribes the process very clearly in his books. Searching a link.
Eden Haiku: Well, we do not choose. The ancestor comes to you.
    Adams Rubble: ohhhh
Riddle Sideways: go to the Ball, sit and wait to be asked to dance
    Adams Rubble: :)
Eden Haiku: Mine is some native Indian man I have been seeing in dreams from my teens. From my father side I think.
    Adams Rubble: ohhh
Eden Haiku: Yes, kind of Riddle :))
    Adams Rubble: :)
Adams Rubble: is he a spirit guide?
Eden Haiku: "The Way of the Shaman" is the best introduction.
Eden Haiku: Yes the ancestor is a spirit guide, along with power animals and other figures,
Eden Haiku: Father Christmas is even one of my spirit guides :)
    Adams Rubble: :)
Eden Haiku: Link to Michael Harner's work: https://www.shamanism.org/articles/pdfs/CoreShamanDailyLife.pdf
Riddle Sideways: thanks, saves for later, am still reading all the avatar links

    Driving at night

Eden Haiku: One of the benefits of the workshop is that I learnt I can drive at night without any problem...
    Adams Rubble: :)
    Riddle Sideways: ? listens
Adams Rubble: I can't any more
Eden Haiku: I was SOOO afraid of doing so....
Eden Haiku: Howcome Adams? Eye problems?
    Adams Rubble: yes
    Adams Rubble: headlights confuse me
Eden Haiku: Ah, had that too. But after surgery of both eyes, now it's easy!
Adams Rubble: I have had to do it but I scare anyone in the car with me

    --BELL--

Eden Haiku: Maybe not for hours
Adams Rubble: as well as me
Adams Rubble: NJ roads are scary in the day time
Eden Haiku: I was not far from the summer house...
    Riddle Sideways: Yes!!!
Adams Rubble: sorry i keep typing over your stories
Eden Haiku: No, no, dance is dancing us Adams :)))
Adams Rubble: don’t be too smug Riddle, California highways are no picnic in the grass
Eden Haiku: Highways are no picnics anywhere....
Riddle Sideways: thinks NJ road signs are out to get ya
Eden Haiku: Road signs are terribly complicated....
Adams Rubble: maybe that's why people have walked off with some of the road signs
    Eden Haiku: ?
    Riddle Sideways: ㋡
Adams Rubble: some road signs are missing Eden
Adams Rubble: or someone forgot to put them up
Riddle Sideways: thought that the signs hid themselves in NJ
Adams Rubble: got drunk during lunch
Riddle Sideways: went to the land of left socks
Eden Haiku: Have to bring back the car this morning to the renting agency in a nearly little town.
Adams Rubble: sometimes the signs are hidden in the bushes
Riddle Sideways: trying to remember the Rod Sterling line
Eden Haiku: Thank you both for your dancing presences! My typist is going to metamorph into a driver :)
Riddle Sideways: There's a sign post up ahead
Adams Rubble: thank you for hosting eden :)
Eden Haiku: Have a great day!
    Riddle Sideways: thank you both
Adams Rubble: If you lived here you'd be home by now
    Riddle Sideways: Yes!!! Yes
Adams Rubble: did you get to the art museum in Salem?
    Riddle Sideways: a couple
Riddle Sideways: not the main one
Adams Rubble: the one with the Chinese house?
    Adams Rubble: ohhhhh :(
    Riddle Sideways: others went there
    Adams Rubble: Seven Gables?
Riddle Sideways: wedding was at the Seven Gables
    Adams Rubble: wow
    Riddle Sideways: yes
Riddle Sideways: all those houses were moved over to the same area
Adams Rubble: I am going to have to go. I will be here Thursday. Don't know if I'll get a chance to pop in tomorrow
    Riddle Sideways: ok,
Riddle Sideways: gotta start today also
Adams Rubble: I hope you have a good day :)
Riddle Sideways: wait... it is already in progress
    Adams Rubble: :)
    Adams Rubble: bye bye
