The Guardian for this meeting was Bruce Mowbray. The comments are by Bruce Mowbray.

    Bleu Oleander: hi Bruce :)
    Bruce Mowbray: Hi!
Bleu Oleander: seems a quiet Saturday!
Bleu Oleander: the article Wol sent in emails looks interesting ... will read later :)
    Bleu Oleander: http://www.theatlantic.com/magazine/archive/2015/10/how-david-hume-helped-me-solve-my-midlife-crisis/403195/

Bleu Oleander: "I never can catch myself at any time without a perception, and never can observe any thing but the perception.”
Bruce Mowbray: Wow. I will look forward to reading that.
    Bruce Mowbray: Thanks.
Bruce Mowbray: Usually, there's no one else here but Qt and I. Everyone must be outside 'playing' in a physical world of physical perceptions.
Bleu Oleander: yes lovely day here
Bleu Oleander: might have to take the pups out for a game of football soon :)
Bruce Mowbray: Do "perceptions" of interior states also count, for Hume, I mean?
    Bleu Oleander: I think so
Bleu Oleander: but I haven't really read Hume
Bruce Mowbray: kk, so, let's say that I "perceive" - have an awareness of - some resistance around a certain issue....
Bruce Mowbray: (Frankly, I wasn't aware that Hume was "into" interior states.)
Bruce Mowbray: but anyway, perception and acceptance are really big themes ....
Bleu Oleander: well perceptions are interior states, yes?
Bruce Mowbray: Yes, external perception must always be sensed internally…
Bruce Mowbray: but I was referring to perception of interior states -- ones that are not externally perceivable.
    Bleu Oleander: still perceptions tho
Bleu Oleander: that's what feelings are
Bleu Oleander: conscious perceptions of our physical and mental states
Bruce Mowbray: Yes... but more immediate, perhaps.
Bleu Oleander: what do you mean "more immediate"?
Bruce Mowbray: So-called "interior awareness" -- I wasn't aware that the empiricists (like Hume) were into that.
Bruce Mowbray: Noticing the subtleties of a very specialized resistance to something, say.
Bruce Mowbray: I used to have a very subtle resistance to watching the saliva aggregate in the corners of my brother's mouth when he talked, for example, but the specific awareness I am talking about now was my own resistance to that.
Bleu Oleander: noticing is a perception?
Bruce Mowbray: Not the accumulation of saliva itself.
Bruce Mowbray: Noticing is a perception - or CAN be.
Bruce Mowbray: Often, though, we block the awareness of things that are uncomfortable for us.
Bleu Oleander: one can notice something in the non-conscious and yet not notice it consciously
    Bruce Mowbray: ? Really?
    Bleu Oleander: yes, subliminally
Bruce Mowbray: hmmm. [Not sure that Hume would understand what you're talking about there.]
Bleu Oleander: priming is an example of that
Bruce Mowbray: This is probably something that the neuro-psychologists are looking into.
Bleu Oleander: flashes too short or small for us to perceive consciously, yet our brains pick them up
Bleu Oleander: and affect our behaviors
Bruce Mowbray: Yes, like, for example, that our brains flash an intention (e.g., to move an arm) before our conscious minds are aware of it.
Bleu Oleander: lots of interesting work being done on this
    Bruce Mowbray nods.
Bleu Oleander: excuse me for a sec ... call
Bruce Mowbray: np, take your time.

Bruce Mowbray: away from keyboard for a few secs... brb
Bleu Oleander: sorry took longer than I thought
Bleu Oleander: and I will have to sign off to finish ...
Bleu Oleander: nice to see you Bruce
    Bleu Oleander: take care :)
Bruce Mowbray: good to see you too, Bleu.
    Bruce Mowbray: See you tomorrow.
