The Guardian for this meeting was Wol.

Wol Euler: level ground up here :)
Shigeko Tachikawa: have a nice day
    Qt Core: Hi Wol
    Wol Euler: buongiorno Qt
Wol Euler: how's Italy? are you baking in the heat like the rest of us?
Qt Core: yes, today seems a little better as yesterday there were thunderstorm not further away than 50 km, but still hot
Qt Core: (been baked would be nicer than been steamed as humidity rates are the issues at least for me)
    Wol Euler: hehehehhe
Wol Euler: humidity is hard to bear, yes
Wol Euler: it's both hot and humid here :(
Wol Euler: already / still 28°C when I got up this morning
Qt Core: 31C here a few minutes ago here
Wol Euler: and not going to get any cooler either
Wol Euler: I'm hoping we will actually get some rain this evening as forecast
Qt Core: same here, we should lose a couple degrees to, that will be nice if rains would not just increase humidity rates
    Wol Euler nods.

    --BELL--

Qt Core: this past week i went (again) at Expo, and doing some math i think i sweated out the 2.5 litres of water i drank while there
Wol Euler: i remember talking to a friend at the beginning of June about the heat then, saying "I wonder what high summer will be like". He pessimistically predicted months of rain.
Wol Euler: oh yes, drinking so much and sweating it all away. I could shower three times a day.
Wol Euler: I walk to work, and get there as wet as if I had just stepped out of the shower.
Qt Core: as i don't go away and don't like to tan i would surely favor it
Qt Core: when i walk around on summer i often stop and almost laugh at my almost superhuman (vampiristic ?) ability to find shadows to walk in, even making my route longer but surely cooler
    Wol Euler smiles.
    Qt Core: brb
Qt Core: back, my day just (not so little) more complicated, but you now, i'm on vacation, i should not rest...
    Qt Core: +become
    Wol Euler: hehehehehe
    Qt Core: +k
Wol Euler: yes, vacation time is not for resting! silly thought.
Wol Euler: but rest is a state of mind anyway, they say

Qt Core: just thinking about the standard italian vacation approach, end working on friday, do a few hundred km driving on saturday morning......doing a few hundred km driving a couple sunday after than and back to work on monday morning
Qt Core: nowadays maybe the driving is substituted whth severa ours of flying but not so different
    Wol Euler nods.
Wol Euler: do you have an expression for holiday at home? the germans call that "going to Balconia"
Wol Euler: it's increasingly popular as people's budgets get tighter
Qt Core: we say i co to Camia (read as Ca mia where Ca is a contraction of casa=home and mia is mine)
    Qt Core: *go
    Wol Euler: :)
Wol Euler: now having said that, it sounds as though half of my boss's son's school class is going to be in Croatia this summer
    Wol Euler: including him
Qt Core: it is a popular choice for italians too lately (especially for northern italy)
Qt Core: it seem to be nice and a lot less cheaper than the italian side of the same sea
    Wol Euler nods.
Qt Core: -less (need a little talk with my fingers this morning...)
    Wol Euler chuckles.

    --BELL--

Qt Core: when i became the only/main driver in my home i pratically vetoed going away on vacation that way (accepted only for a destination only an hundred km away or so
    Wol Euler nods.
    Wol Euler: very sensible.
Wol Euler: especially in Europe where every little village is connected by train
Qt Core: i need to go start my fight for survival ... and it start driving someone around ;-)
Qt Core: bye and have fun
    Wol Euler: take care, Qt
    Wol Euler: enjoy your vacation
