Bleu Oleander: ok, shall we begin?

    Bleu Oleander: thanks for coming

Bleu Oleander: I tried to create a feeling of openness and calmness … a relaxed and gentle mood. it was important for me to keep in mind the site lines looking out from within and looking in from without, not too closed and not too open. In a loose sense, I modeled the basic structure base using Mayan temple models
    Eden Haiku: ok
Bleu Oleander: I created a threshold by using a moat filled with water … Moats go back as far as ancient Egypt and the Mayans also used moats. I designed a 4-way entrance with 4 bridges over the water filled moat to reference the four directions and made the walls and dome phantom and open for ease of access, with steve in mind :)
    Aphrodite Macbain: :-)
Bleu Oleander: Once over the moat/bridge there are 9 steps to the upper level … I was feeling the need to use the number 9 as a reference to PaB ideas. And in case the symbolic references weren’t clear I embedded the PaB logo in the design above, right under the dome. Not a fan of logos so kept it subtle.
    Bleu Oleander: did anyone notice?
    Eden Haiku: I didn,t...
    Aphrodite Macbain: lol no
Eliza Madrigal looking for that now
    Agatha Macbeth: Er...
    Bleu Oleander: :)
    Aphrodite Macbain: nice though
    Bruce Mowbray also looking.
Bleu Oleander: I used frosted glass textured walls to provide a feeling of a container and form a boundary around the space, but at the same time allowing site lines from within to the gardens and from without as approaching. I kept the textures and colors of the base structure in the earth tones, and used lighter textures above. I was concerned with viewing in different SL viewer, wind lights, brightness settings, etc., which you can experiment with yourselves.
    Eliza Madrigal: >aha<
    Agatha Macbeth: >Oho<
    Bleu Oleander: :)
Bleu Oleander: so I could have written anything up there lol
    Agatha Macbeth: Looks like it
Eden Haiku: I do love the glass texture walls...
    Bleu Oleander: :)
Bleu Oleander: I made the cushions myself this time around, and did 16 cushions … within the 16 there are 3 different sets of poses and each cushion has 6 poses that provide a range of feelings, from static to animated, and from formal to casual with some poses interacting with the pool/water. The cushion texture is from a photo of the lotus/fountain.
Agatha Macbeth: Hidden in plain sight I guess
    Aphrodite Macbain: love the cushions
Eden Haiku: And the 9 steps... Nver counted them though :) Very subtle Bleu...
Agatha Macbeth: 9 steps to heaven
    Eliza Madrigal: yes that's great

Bleu Oleander: I’ve posted a few photos of views from above the structure showing a blend of spheres and squares, keeping in mind some comments along the way of preferences for round vs. square. You may think its a square structure until you change your point of view … a metaphor for perception perhaps.
Aphrodite Macbain: Bleu is just describing her pavilion
Bleu Oleander: i'll give you a notecard
Bleu Oleander: Another reference to the history of PaB is the central focal point … a lotus flower as the recorder.
Bleu Oleander: I placed the lotus flower on a cube … using one of the five Platonic forms … the cube … A model of symmetry. Its interesting that a finite number, just five solids emerge when you consider geometry and symmetry. Plato used these forms to construct a theory of the visual world. It was a fun metaphor for me the think about when building this.
Bleu Oleander: The floating animations were added later from a suggestion along the way and do provide a nice meditative addition I think.
Agatha Macbeth: I wondered about the Plato stuff
    Aphrodite Macbain: nods

Bleu Oleander: ok thanks for listening and for this opportunity!
    Bleu Oleander: I welcome comments
Bleu Oleander: shall we go clockwise?

Eliza Madrigal: :) people were strategic in placing themselves.... haha
    --BELL--
    Bleu Oleander: lol
    Agatha Macbeth: It's usually me
Bleu Oleander: could go counter too
Santoshima Resident: why don't we start with teh floating one
    druth Vlodovic: heh
    Santoshima Resident: :)
Aphrodite Macbain: May I just say that I love the lightness and openness of this - it is so very peaceful. I have to leave so I just wanted to put in my 2xents worth.
    Bleu Oleander: thanks Aph!
    Aphrodite Macbain: byee.
    Mickorod Renard: bye Aph
Bruce Mowbray: bye for now, Aph-ji.
    Xirana Oximoxi: bye Aph! :)
    Agatha Macbeth blinks
    Eden Haiku: Bye Aph !
    Agatha Macbeth: That was quick
druth Vlodovic: she has a movie
    Agatha Macbeth: Ah
Eliza Madrigal: Okay I can go...
    Agatha Macbeth: She's the star?
    Bleu Oleander: ok

druth Vlodovic: I like the floaty things, though it is a bit odd in context of the whole place
druth Vlodovic: the squares are a nice departure fromrecent tradition
Bleu Oleander: stevie suggested floating ... floaty thingys added :)
Eliza Madrigal: sorry I interrupted before (listening to druth)
druth Vlodovic: oh, I was done

Agatha Macbeth puts a bag over Liz's head
    Bleu Oleander: ok Eliza
druth Vlodovic: sorry to hold you up
    Bleu Oleander: np
    Bleu Oleander: thanks druth
Eliza Madrigal: oh, okay... not at all. I deflected earlier ^^

Bleu Oleander: ok now ... Eliza
Eliza Madrigal: I've been happy and comfortable here, feels elegant, and pictures come out really nicely
Eliza Madrigal: it has the 'see from afar' factor too
Eliza Madrigal: so although it is really light, it causes the eye to gravitate toward it when around the area
Eliza Madrigal: the steps, I love even more now that I know there are nine
    Bleu Oleander: :)
    Agatha Macbeth: #9 dream
Eliza Madrigal: at first it felt kind of hard, going from roundness to square, but then when we're all here, it feels warm and soft
Eliza Madrigal: and I like most of the poses
    Eliza Madrigal: done for now
    Bleu Oleander: thanks Eliza!

    PaBsession1.jpg

    Bleu Oleander: Aggers?
    Agatha Macbeth: It's all good
    Bruce Mowbray: Yikes!
Bleu Oleander: I like that :)
Agatha Macbeth: I definitely like this one and Xira's best
    Xirana Oximoxi: :)
Agatha Macbeth: I like things simple and spacey
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Agatha Macbeth: Maye cos I'm spaced out :p
    Agatha Macbeth: So...great!
    Agatha Macbeth: TY Bleuji
    Agatha Macbeth: Next

    Bruce Mowbray: kk.
    Bleu Oleander: thanks Aggers!
Bruce Mowbray: Well, I also like the spaciousness of this place, and that it is built on squares and the Platonic cube..
Bruce Mowbray: and the moats, great!
Bruce Mowbray: I especially like the pastel colors that get reflected by the walls in the sunrise and sunset sun positions.
Bruce Mowbray: My oly slight question is about the poses.
    Bleu Oleander: listens
Bruce Mowbray: I always seem to prefer just "sitting" when I come here, rather than any of the assigned cushion poses.
Bruce Mowbray: Also, I love the lotus,, and how easy it is to do a "claim" of sessions.
    Bruce Mowbray: Gret job, Bleu.
    Eliza Madrigal nods
    Bruce Mowbray: [done]
    Bleu Oleander: thanks Bruce!
    Bruce Mowbray: Great*

    Santoshima Resident: :)
Santoshima Resident: ok, i also like this space,
Santoshima Resident: and can say that this and XIr's also are my favourites
Santoshima Resident: i know this is meant to be "glass" but has a feel of cloth to me
Santoshima Resident: stretches oer a frame
Santoshima Resident: overall teh lightness is very appealing
Santoshima Resident: i really like the textures of floor and cushions
Santoshima Resident: (image taken from teh fountain)
    Santoshima Resident: they seem old
    Bleu Oleander: :)
    Santoshima Resident: well worn
    Santoshima Resident: and inviting
Santoshima Resident: the animations are fine too
Santoshima Resident: height of fountian is the main thing i wonder about ... partly as san is short and the fountain cube seems just a tad high. but that could be experiemented with, if wanted
    Santoshima Resident: oops
    Santoshima Resident: actually it's' good
Santoshima Resident: i like the blast of fountain too, that it is similar to the old one
    --BELL--
Santoshima Resident: and that it doesn't change it's pace/ intensity
Santoshima Resident: it's a fine not-so-simple space you have made, bleu, and it's strength is that it seems simple
    Santoshima Resident: done
    Bleu Oleander: thank you San!

    roundpool.jpg

    Eliza Madrigal nodding
    Bruce Mowbray: Eos?
Eos Amaterasu: I think I can echo many of the previous comments
Eos Amaterasu: I like the sense of strong base, earth, as well as openness
Eos Amaterasu: also attention to detail (much to be discovered :-)
Eos Amaterasu: feeling it's both old and new
Eos Amaterasu: One comment re the pool perimeter. There's a lot of play with circle and square, especially from flying vantage points, but down here I like the idea of "round table" (kind of everyone is equal as well as open center as well as circulation of energy).
Eos Amaterasu: So one suggestion would be to experiment with round pool perimeter, to bring some of that quality closer.
Bleu Oleander: round where the cushions are?
    Bleu Oleander: or the moat?
Eos Amaterasu: Edge of pool here
Eos Amaterasu: So yes, I suppose cushions would follow in round pattern....
Eos Amaterasu: Basically that's it. Thanx for all the thought and consideration, and 4 visiting Plato's cave as part of your journey :-)
    Eos Amaterasu: (done)
    Bleu Oleander: thanks Eos!

    Xirana Oximoxi: my turn :)
    Bleu Oleander: yep
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Xirana Oximoxi: ok...I like this pavilion very much...it's refreshing and gives me a nice feeling of openess....
Xirana Oximoxi: lovely textures, specially the ones of cushions and the stone
Xirana Oximoxi: the only suggestion I can think of is that I feel it would be great to find a way to connect the two structures...the one of glass and the basement.. maybe addignt some of textures to the dome...
Xirana Oximoxi: or some kind of columns
Bleu Oleander: interesting ... I had it that way initially :)
Xirana Oximoxi: not sure if I express it well:)..in general I love it! :)
    Bleu Oleander: thanks!
    Xirana Oximoxi: done:)

Mickorod Renard: I feel a bit cheeky commenting because I havn't on any of the others which were all great in their own way. However, when I first experienced this one I fell in love with it staight away. i love the space and light. I love the ability to pan about without becoming obstructed by pillars and so forth. The whole set up is calming and although open it doesnt feel cold at all. When I first sampled here I knew it was the one for me.......If I were a billionaire I would have it as a penthouse bathroom. he he ...thankyou..done

    Eden Haiku: Wow!
    Bleu Oleander: love that!
    Bleu Oleander: thank you Mick!
    Eliza Madrigal: :))
    Mickorod Renard: my pleasure thankyou

Bleu Oleander: would make a great penthouse !!!
Agatha Macbeth: Would make a great bathroom
Bleu Oleander: yes that too :)
Bleu Oleander: or private rooftop pool
    Santoshima Resident: ps_
    Agatha Macbeth: Yeh
Santoshima Resident: am not a fan of the floatballs although i do like steve
Bleu Oleander: not really part of this
    Santoshima Resident: yeah
Agatha Macbeth: Odd non sequitur that :p
Bleu Oleander: I would prefer maybe only one
Eden Haiku: I also felt in love with this pavilion. it feels good being here.
    Bleu Oleander: for midnight floats
Santoshima Resident: i'd also like to see a round pool if you're willing to try it. maybe it won't work, but would be interesting
    Santoshima Resident: to see
Eden Haiku: I love the floats too,
Agatha Macbeth: Oh it looks cute in the dark
    Eden Haiku: Already round!
Bleu Oleander: easy in sl hehe
    Eliza Madrigal: responsiveness :)
    Bruce Mowbray: Wow.
    Xirana Oximoxi: wow! :)
druth Vlodovic: now we have a square peg in the middle of... :P

Eden Haiku: Is it my turn now^
    Eden Haiku: ^
    Bleu Oleander: yes Eden, sorry
    Santoshima Resident: oops
    Eden Haiku: Ok
Eden Haiku: Yes, I was saying I like the feeling of 1001 nights palace and gardens, the transparency...
    --BELL--
Eden Haiku: I love the lotus in the fountain
    Eden Haiku: The steps
Eden Haiku: I like the square in the middle but I also agree that experimenting with the round edge of the pool might ease the circulation of energy
Eden Haiku: I like the floats, it gives one more option to all the nice animations of the cushions
Eden Haiku: IIt feels very comfortable and open, with many options. And it is light and so beautiful!
    Eden Haiku: DOne
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
    Bleu Oleander: thanks Eden!
    Bleu Oleander: and all :)
    Eliza Madrigal: thank YOU Bleu

Bleu Oleander: do you all like the round pool better?
    druth Vlodovic: not as such
Eden Haiku: Yes, thank you Bleu for creating such a nice pavilion!
    Eos Amaterasu: needs sizing adjustments
    Bleu Oleander: yes
    Bleu Oleander: and pillows moved
Eos Amaterasu: relative to central square and to surrounding square
    Eos Amaterasu: and cushions
druth Vlodovic: though my reason might seem overly philosophical and argumentative :P
druth Vlodovic: circle suggests all sameness, which is not the same as equality or respect of person, though it implies it
Bleu Oleander: for concept ... adjustments later
Bruce Mowbray: I like the circle concept.
druth Vlodovic: I like the clean straifght lines along with the open view to give us the natural contrast
Agatha Macbeth: I love the moat
    Eliza Madrigal: nods
    Eden Haiku: Me too
Santoshima Resident: there is a small inside moat as well. is that the one you mean? or the outside big one?
Eos Amaterasu: easy access from any direction
Agatha Macbeth: The one at the bottom of the steps
Bleu Oleander: yes there's a small and larger one
Eden Haiku: Feeling better with the round pool
Eliza Madrigal: not sure about the circle but could be because I am used to the square so would need more sessions :)
    Agatha Macbeth: Squaring the circle
Santoshima Resident: if more people ( !) would there be cushions on the outside square?
Bleu Oleander: i'll make it round this week and you can try it
Eden Haiku: The squre looks larger
    Eliza Madrigal: yes
Eos Amaterasu: that's because the circle was inside the square :-)
Bleu Oleander: could add more cushions if needed
    Eden Haiku: hehe
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Bleu Oleander: but are 16 here now
druth Vlodovic: we can add more floats :)
Agatha Macbeth: Long time since we had 16 here at once
    Bleu Oleander: yes
Eden Haiku: Oh, never noticed the inner moat, nice :)
druth Vlodovic: maybe remove the float hover text and let them be discovered
Santoshima Resident: could the fountain and cube be tried as a little lower?
Bleu Oleander: yes, didn't go that far to find floats ... perhaps better ones out there
Agatha Macbeth: Is Mick going to dance?
Eden Haiku: Yes, lowering the sqauere and fountain seems a good idea...
Bleu Oleander: any lower and I think it would become the same height as pool edge
Santoshima Resident: just slightly above the height of the pool edge is what i'm thinking
    Eden Haiku: Ah :(
Bleu Oleander: and to my eye wouldn't be as representative of a cube then
Bleu Oleander: but will play with it
Santoshima Resident: maybe a smaller cube, then, if that rule applies
druth Vlodovic: cubes and squares are very human, and seldom found away from humans, which I regard as positive
Santoshima Resident: it become the most important object in teh room
    Santoshima Resident: as is
    Agatha Macbeth watches Liz fidget
    Santoshima Resident: anyway, to try
Bleu Oleander: for me its kinda nice elevated but will play with it this week
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Eos Amaterasu: eye level is nice
Santoshima Resident: can't see people across teh pool
    Bleu Oleander: in mouseview?
    Santoshima Resident: nope
Agatha Macbeth gets out the telescope
Bleu Oleander: I rarely use my camera at eye level :)
Santoshima Resident: in whatever view it takes for me to see inside this space
Eliza Madrigal: Eden what is the name of that pose?
    Santoshima Resident: ah ok
    Eden Haiku: mmm
Eos Amaterasu: I meant lotus is about eye level height for me, and that seems apropos
    Agatha Macbeth: Ediepose :)
Eden Haiku: poolside sit I think...

Eden Haiku: But poses are different for each cushion
Bleu Oleander: the cushions have different sets of poses
    druth Vlodovic: no cross-legged pose?
    Eliza Madrigal: oooh, okay
Eden Haiku: Want to swap cushions^
Eliza Madrigal: this is poolsit for this one
    Agatha Macbeth: Onside
    Eliza Madrigal: was curious :)
Bleu Oleander: the corners don't have pool sits
Eliza Madrigal: like to learn the ropes
Bleu Oleander: the center cushions of each side are the same
Agatha Macbeth: But what to use them for? ;)
Eliza Madrigal: that's a good idea Bleu
Eliza Madrigal: like the swing outside too
Bleu Oleander: so many different poses to discover
Bleu Oleander: did you try it?
Eliza Madrigal: yes, layed about one day
Eden Haiku: How did you manage to kneel in the water the other day Agatha^
Bleu Oleander: I went to a "make a swing" class lol
    Eliza Madrigal: impressive!
Eden Haiku: I tried the swing yes. IT,s lovely Bleu ;)
    Bleu Oleander: thanks!
Bleu Oleander: was a fun class
Bleu Oleander: so a couple of "save the dates"
Eden Haiku: And I was so happy to discover Mick in one of my deck chairs earlier :)
    --BELL--
    Eliza Madrigal: "__
    Mickorod Renard: :)
    Eliza Madrigal: :)) *
