Korel Laloix: Had a busy week at work.
Aphrodite Macbain: oh? why so busy?
Korel Laloix: We do Christmas in January, so I took the on-call for the week.
Korel Laloix: And of course, things happened.
Aphrodite Macbain: Fixing people?
Korel Laloix: Medical testing.. so part of the process.
Aphrodite Macbain: I would have thought medical testing would be a regular part of what you did on a daily basis
Korel Laloix: The testing is with the lab, so work. There are just some things we can't stop doing of course.
Korel Laloix: But I did manage to get some things done.. drove around meals to some shut-ins and the like.
Aphrodite Macbain: Nice!
Aphrodite Macbain: Is that part of your work or something you do with your church?
Korel Laloix: the meals thing is through grandma's old church.
Aphrodite Macbain: Nice
Aphrodite Macbain: Does the community donate the food?
Korel Laloix: Not sure when it all come from.. I did not see that pat of it.
Aphrodite Macbain: Nice that it happens.
Korel Laloix: People cooked, someone else put it in packages for the right number of people.. I just drove them around delivering.
Aphrodite Macbain: We have so many homeless in Vancouver and I worry about whether our food programs are adequate
Korel Laloix: That was a great way to spend a birthday really. Prefer that to most alternatives.
Aphrodite Macbain: Your birthday?
Korel Laloix: The 25th.

Korel Laloix: Christmas was a nightmare for me growing up.
