Biodanza
Eden Haiku: Went to a Biodanza celebration dance on Saturday evening.
Riddle Sideways: Biodanza?
Eden Haiku: It»s an international dance system created in the sixties by Rolando Toro, a chilean anthropologist.
Riddle Sideways: waiting for browser to load, so can ask Google
Eden Haiku: Very interesting and fun to do.
Riddle Sideways: there, you are faster than google
Eden Haiku: Used to be part of a weekly group
Eden Haiku: But now only going to events once in a while, week end worskshops and such.
Riddle Sideways: ah, a system of self-development that uses music, movement and positive feelings to deepen self-awareness
Eden Haiku: Saturday was the International Celebration Day. We were about 100 at the National Theatre School, dancing on a wooden floor.
Riddle Sideways: wow
Eden Haiku: Yes, ah thanks Goodle and Riddle:)
Riddle Sideways: did the building shake down?
Eden Haiku: Many people I knew, many I didn’t and just one new visitor.
Riddle Sideways: feet druming on the wood floor
Eden Haiku: It was an amazing evening.
Eden Haiku: yes, the sound of feet drumming is so beautiful when the music stops and we are still carried by our movement...
Eden Haiku: There were two "facilitators" , giving the instructions and starting the music
Eden Haiku: And we keep silent for the whole 3 hours.
Riddle Sideways: :)
Eden Haiku: We have to relay on movement to express ourselves.
Riddle Sideways: is that easy or hard for you?
Riddle Sideways: the silent?
Eden Haiku: Easy. I love Biodanza.
Eden Haiku: It's so refreshing!
Eden Haiku: I do love dancing in general but this is Great Dancing (like Great Time hehe)
Eden Haiku: No, I easily go silent.
Eden Haiku: Even if I’m usually talkative
--BELL--
Little Whatever, Great Whatever and Passover
Eden Haiku: It's the rule so I play by it :)
Riddle Sideways: are you starting to see Little whatever and Great whatever now? :)
Eden Haiku: It seems so :)
Riddle Sideways: hehehe, ever not have clicking in the text box and start typing
Riddle Sideways: it does things to SL
Eden Haiku: Ah yes...
Riddle Sideways: we had 14 at the Seder table Friday
Riddle Sideways: was supposed to be more, but things come up
Riddle Sideways: a good
Riddle Sideways: time
Eden Haiku: Having a Great Time?
Riddle Sideways: daughter contributed to hagadah story book
Eden Haiku: hehe
Eden Haiku: hagadah?
Riddle Sideways: yes, it touched into Great Time often
Eden Haiku: Looking it up :)
Eden Haiku: Wonderful isn'it?
Eden Haiku: Oh yes, it was Passover for you:)
Riddle Sideways: speelt https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Haggadah
Eden Haiku: Just found it thanks :)
Riddle Sideways: it can be an oral or written story of the Jews
Eden Haiku: So your daughter illustrated your family haggadah book?
Riddle Sideways: that would have been good, but no
Riddle Sideways: she contributed many social awareness points
Eden Haiku: Ah, I see :)
A wonderful tradition of transmission
Riddle Sideways: so this year we had many deep thoughtful, mindfullness, and provocative items
Riddle Sideways: isn't it sooooo nice that we have all this plentiful food to celebrate over
Riddle Sideways: when others are starving
Riddle Sideways: isn't it nice that we have the freedom of religion to practice as we wish
Riddle Sideways: when others don't
Riddle Sideways: etc. etc. etc.
Eden Haiku: Yes, indeed.
--BELL--
Riddle Sideways: AND what are we pledging to do about it
Eden Haiku: Was reading on Wikipedia about Seder, it's a wonderful tradition of transmission.
Riddle Sideways: yes
Riddle Sideways: commanded to at least once a year
Eden Haiku: Did you come up with practical possibilities?
Riddle Sideways: spend the time transmiting the history story
Riddle Sideways: a few
Riddle Sideways: not enough
Riddle Sideways: not enough for daughter :}
Riddle Sideways: got some at the table thinking
Eden Haiku: That is so touching, to have family traditions like this. Still alive after the Shoah.
Eden Haiku: So many "family stories" wiped out by the Nazis...
Riddle Sideways: yes
Riddle Sideways: which itself brings up so many stories
Eden Haiku: Young people always want to fast pace the changing of the world :) We need them!
Eden Haiku: Has your own family been in America for many generations?
Riddle Sideways: My grandfather (Irish) was just born in this country
Riddle Sideways: Spouses family has been here 5-6 generations
Eden Haiku: Ah, thanks.
V for Vendetta
Riddle Sideways: in other news
Riddle Sideways: watch "V" last night
Eden Haiku: So not directly concerned by the Shoah, but still having some relatives of relatives vanishing into the horror I suppose...
Riddle Sideways: yes, they knew many
Eden Haiku: Oh V, yes, the movie with Anonymus right?
Riddle Sideways: right
Riddle Sideways: Anonymous Guy Fawkes
Riddle Sideways: had not seen it in years
Eden Haiku: Yes, they created Anonymus from this mask I think. Saw it so long ago I don't remember much.
Eden Haiku: Does it seem actual?
Riddle Sideways: couple of others had never seen it
Riddle Sideways: ummmm, a state/nation/politic telling lies to their populus?
Riddle Sideways: controlling/jailing/killing dissidents?
Eden Haiku: Just like now?
Riddle Sideways: well, the people shouting that they have had enough and rising up to say 'NO!' is probably fiction
Riddle Sideways: there have been a few (too few) individuals in history
Riddle Sideways: that have stood up
Riddle Sideways: and made little differences
--BELL--
Eden Haiku: Hum... remember Occupy, the Indignados, here we had a kind of uprising in 2012 too, and the Arab Spring and now in Paris "Nuit debout"... But that is all epiphenomenal and short-lived tremors of resistance to what we could call the Great Lie...
Riddle Sideways: remembering the Ai Weiwei portraits (in Legos) of jailed dissidents
Eden Haiku: Yes, a few: Gandhi, Martin Luther King, Mandela. Simone de Beauvoir, very few women...
Eden Haiku: haven't seen Wei Wei jailed dissidents :(
Riddle Sideways: background: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2015/03/03/ai-weiwei-artist-alcatraz_n_6576728.html
Switching from dissidents to robots
Eden Haiku: William Gibson, the cult writer of "Neuromancer" tweeted an article about why we give robots female names: so we don't have to take their feelings into account...
Eden Haiku: Thanks for the link Riddle. Will check in when posting the session on laptop:)
Riddle Sideways: http://inhabitat.com/ai-weiwei-uses-1-2-million-lego-bricks-to-portray-176-political-prisoners-and-exiles-on-alcatraz/
Eden Haiku: Still enjoying the wide screen of my desk computer for SL but it cannot do
Riddle Sideways: ah
Eden Haiku: much these days..,Surfing is swimming in a sea of adverts....
Riddle Sideways: what? re: female names
Eden Haiku: Luckily my writing software is till operative.
Riddle Sideways: good
Eden Haiku: Yes, it seems we give female names to our robots so we will feel more comfortable exploiting them. I will add the link in the log right here: .........
Riddle Sideways: thanks for link, but no thanks for that bit of knowledge
Eden Haiku: Yes, I know... not funny to learn that.
Hiking plans in Big Sur
Eden Haiku: Better stay with the happy feelings of Haggadah and Seder and the family gathering. Are you doing some visiting with your East Coast visitor?

Eden Haiku: Ah, the famous Big Sur :)
Eden Haiku: Poor you, a walk on the beach in Big Sur :)
Riddle Sideways: he came out to run the marathon
Riddle Sideways: but health issues stopped him
Eden Haiku: Oh, so he is seriously hiking then !
Riddle Sideways: yep
Eden Haiku: Oh, that's sad...
Eden Haiku: Everytime I go to BIodanza I realize I don't move enough. It feel so good when I do though. That night, I slept very profundly and I woke up the next day as if each and every cell of my body was vibrant with well being. Fully rested and alive!
