Biodanza

Eden Haiku: Went to a Biodanza celebration dance on Saturday evening.
Riddle Sideways: Biodanza?
Eden Haiku: It»s an international dance system created in the sixties by Rolando Toro, a chilean anthropologist.

Eden Haiku: Used to be part of a weekly group
Eden Haiku: But now only going to events once in a while, week end worskshops and such.
Riddle Sideways: ah, a system of self-development that uses music, movement and positive feelings to deepen self-awareness
Eden Haiku: Saturday was the International Celebration Day. We were about 100 at the National Theatre School, dancing on a wooden floor.

Riddle Sideways: did the building shake down?
Eden Haiku: Many people I knew, many I didn’t and just one new visitor.
Riddle Sideways: feet druming on the wood floor
Eden Haiku: It was an amazing evening.
Eden Haiku: yes, the sound of feet drumming is so beautiful when the music stops and we are still carried by our movement...
Eden Haiku: There were two "facilitators" , giving the instructions and starting the music
Eden Haiku: And we keep silent for the whole 3 hours.

A wonderful tradition of transmission

Riddle Sideways: so this year we had many deep thoughtful, mindfullness, and provocative items
Riddle Sideways: isn't it sooooo nice that we have all this plentiful food to celebrate over

Riddle Sideways: isn't it nice that we have the freedom of religion to practice as we wish
Riddle Sideways: when others don't
Riddle Sideways: etc. etc. etc.

Eden Haiku: Was reading on Wikipedia about Seder, it's a wonderful tradition of transmission.
Riddle Sideways: yes
Riddle Sideways: commanded to at least once a year
Eden Haiku: Did you come up with practical possibilities?
Riddle Sideways: spend the time transmiting the history story

Riddle Sideways: not enough

Eden Haiku: That is so touching, to have family traditions like this. Still alive after the Shoah.
Eden Haiku: So many "family stories" wiped out by the Nazis...

Eden Haiku: Young people always want to fast pace the changing of the world :) We need them!

Riddle Sideways: My grandfather (Irish) was just born in this country

Hiking plans in Big Sur

Eden Haiku: Better stay with the happy feelings of Haggadah and Seder and the family gathering. Are you doing some visiting with your East Coast visitor?
Riddle Sideways: yes, forced to once again take the day off and drive down through Big Sur
Riddle Sideways: must go for hike and walk the beach
Eden Haiku: Ah, the famous Big Sur :)
Eden Haiku: Poor you, a walk on the beach in Big Sur :)
Riddle Sideways: he came out to run the marathon
Riddle Sideways: but health issues stopped him
Eden Haiku: Oh, so he is seriously hiking then !

Eden Haiku: Oh, that's sad...
Eden Haiku: Everytime I go to BIodanza I realize I don't move enough. It feel so good when I do though. That night, I slept very profundly and I woke up the next day as if each and every cell of my body was vibrant with well being. Fully rested and alive!
