Eden Haiku: I'm listening to the novel ‘City on Fire’ on Audible: it takes place in New York circa 1977.
Eden Haiku: It's were my thoughts are on the space-time continuum when the diminutive toddler says something to me
Eden Haiku: I take the earplugs off and crouch to her level to listen to what she's saying.
Eden Haiku: -I recognize the sound ‘soi’
Eden Haiku: ‘Soie’? Does she mean the texture of grass? ( ‘soie’ means silk) 
Eden Haiku: I saw her caressing the grass along the sidewalk as if she was petting an animal.
Eden Haiku: -It made me smile.
Eden Haiku: Which probably prompted her to walk toward me, wobbly on her little legs.
Eden Haiku: Her mom is just a few steps ahead, looking at us.
Eden Haiku: -I ask the baby what she is saying. She utters: "soi".
Eden Haiku: I repeat after her, not even sure she is speaking French.
Eden Haiku: Her mom provides a clue ‘balançoire’?
Eden Haiku: The swing? Oh, tiny creature is telling me about her adventures on the swing?
Eden Haiku: We part good friends and I keep walking, hearing the syllable tracing new neural pathways in my brain: ‘soi’ without the silent 'e' means the self. The sanskrit mantra ‘Soham’, " Am that I Am". The "atman": the essence. 
Eden Haiku: - Later, at the drum circle,  I experience very clearly the transition from ordinary reality to non-ordinary reality. Transition from ordinary time to Great Time? 
Eden Haiku: Like in one of the diagrams of chapter 7?
Eden Haiku: As we merge with the spirit of Falcon in order to dance it, I feel self-conscious, gesturing with my rattle, dancing around the flame of a candle, chanting whatever sound comes up, along with a dozen fellow students of essential shamanism.
Eden Haiku: But I keep going, noticing my critical mind kicking in, surprised at its fierceness.
Eden Haiku: But then I see a leather chair like a throne glimmering in the shadows and I'm drawn to it, and I sit on it, still chanting and rattling.
Eden Haiku: -I'm gone, all self-consciousness wiped out.
Eden Haiku: - It's not me anymore.
Eden Haiku: It's a giant falcon.
Eden Haiku: It's Horus, the Egyptian sacred falcon.
Eden Haiku: The Healer.
Eden Haiku: Done.

Eliza Madrigal: Heard an exchange.
Eliza Madrigal: One person says, “What others think about you is not your concern.” Another answers, “You are not only what you think you are, but also what others think you are.” A third chimes in, “Much of time you are what you think others think you are.”
Eliza Madrigal: It was about what we project and think we project, what we see and what we think can be seen. And also, the extent to which there is room for surprise.
Eliza Madrigal: More and more surprise, week by week, it feels.

Eliza Madrigal: Made a list of what makes me happy - common element in 15 items - surprise

Eliza Madrigal: This may have parallels to what Bleu noticed when visiting Riddle’s giant body, when Riddle arrived. A ‘me’, a ‘them’, and a third entity ‘us’. The 3 levels the book works with, in a relationship context becomes something like, level 1: acquaintance, level 2: exchange/reciprocity, level 3: friend.

Eliza Madrigal: that shows more and more room between, more and more overlap
Eliza Madrigal: Attended a meditation with others this week, meditating eyes open, with a painting
Eliza Madrigal: the painting was simple...like a spiral, that turned to eye, that revealed in the middle a tiny pearl
