Qt Core: there are a few roads in Milan that get almost always flooded with heavty thunderstorm or more than a few days of rain

Qt Core: with an abrupt change of topic... this week i made another dream in what i came to call "the emotions/feelings series", this time it was trust/complicity, i dream about being married

Qt Core: i was married, to someone i even know when awake, never thought about her that way and she is even married with children at the moment ;-)

Qt Core: we worked together someway mixing my IT job with some kind of social work
Qt Core: and all the thing was about how we worked well together, almost with no need of verbal communication

Qt Core: if not for a couple horrible nightmares it never happened to me until 3/4 years ago
Qt Core: a group of dreams i made in past years when the main topic seems a feeling/emotions and that stay with me after waking for some time

Qt Core: i sometimes blame pab and its dream sessions ;-)

Qt Core: i was it hard by the first one, it was Anger, with an uppercase A, i didn't remember most of the dreams, but was quite angry (and barked some) for days

Wol Euler: I find it depends on how I wake up. If the alarm jars me out of sleep then I usually lose the dream, but if I can wake naturally I often keep it
Qt Core: i think i remembers them clearly let say on a 1 a months average
Bertram Jacobus: but most of mine are nice ones, luckily
Qt Core: but mre often i remember just that i had a dream but not idea about it
Bertram Jacobus: and i remember most when in which way ever my sleeping routines are broken

Qt Core: sometimes when in that time between sleep and being awake i have some kind of dreams where i get up and starts the day, then something got strange and i find myself awake, but still in bed
Qt Core: this is prone to make me late to work too, when happens

Wol Euler: well anything built with public money in the EU must be contracted out by anonymous bid
Wol Euler: or in our case anonymous architectural competition
Wol Euler: to prevent corruption and nepotism

Wol Euler: the project in question is a sports hall and classrooms for a higher level school (academic excellence) in Bavaria
Bertram Jacobus: ah. okay.
Qt Core: my amateur astronomer club have to do something like that... to lease the municipality space we currently occupy, the entire process lasted some 6 months

Wol Euler: it's annoying sometimes, the paperwork is incredible, but I do understand why it has to happen
Bertram Jacobus: yes better then corrupt systems in africa for example
Wol Euler: the alternative is what you get in China, where buildings fall down in the slightest breeze and kill hundreds of people.
Qt Core: there were no way we would lose, but still we learned that there were multiple offers or our space
Bertram Jacobus: so some aspects are coverd and made more saved by all that paperwork -

Wol Euler: civic contracts on public money require all kinds of oversight
Wol Euler: you must pay at least minimum wage, you must have a policy of including women and the disabled
Qt Core: i have some practical issues with every contract having to be open to the entire EU. There is no way that a form some 3000km away may be cheaper/better, especially for smaller import things
Wol Euler: you must not buy from certain corrupt or environmentally damaging countries
Wol Euler: you should buy from other countries
Wol Euler: etc

Wol Euler: so a few months back I fouind myself filling out a form to apply to take part in a competition, having to state the country of origin of materials that we might use if we won

Wol Euler: but we all had to do it, every office that wanted to join the competion had to swear and sign that they would obey the laws
Bertram Jacobus: hm - you shouldn´t buy / use things from saudi arabia ? ;-)
Wol Euler: the materials will be chosen in 2018 at the earliest
Wol Euler: I haven't even read the briefing documents yet. I don't even know what the client wants yet.
Wol Euler: and I am supposed to tell you where the materials will come from?
Qt Core: i wrote some programs to help firms make those certificates... there is even a declaration about some materials saying that they don't came from war zones
