Korel Laloix: Not many on at this time it seems.
stevenaia Michinaga: nods, I just returned from a sad journey
Korel Laloix: Just had a run so cooling down.
Korel Laloix: OH?... How so?
Korel Laloix: Are you OK?
stevenaia Michinaga: former classmates memorial service in chicago
stevenaia Michinaga: ye
stevenaia Michinaga: yes, many old friends were there
stevenaia Michinaga: was only there for 36 hours or so,
Korel Laloix: I can understand that... hope it was the sort of memorial that helps with closure.
Korel Laloix: Long enough for something like that.
stevenaia Michinaga: yes, and revisit wondereful memories
Korel Laloix: Only been to a couple of funerals in my life.. I can't say I do well at them.
stevenaia Michinaga: spend many hours with people who I ahve not seen in decades, and some I had seem just last octber for a get together which included our now dead friend
stevenaia Michinaga: so it was ironic that we had all ust seen him

Korel Laloix: Sounds like a moving sort of new and old, joy and sadness.
stevenaia Michinaga: and now we were back together once again to celibrate is life
stevenaia Michinaga: nods, and lots of drinking :)
Korel Laloix: That can help, or hurt.. each just has to chose... smiles

stevenaia Michinaga: and thinking of this as the basis of the sculpture project
Korel Laloix: Glad you are able to take in and keep the memories.
Korel Laloix: How so?
stevenaia Michinaga: memories as a form of immortality

Korel Laloix: But does not he work "memory" imply some sort of time?

stevenaia Michinaga: we each have the conciousness of another within us

Korel Laloix: To me...
Korel Laloix: You seemed to imply memories as an essence with out time...
Korel Laloix: So trying to clarify what you mean.. smiles.. I did not get what you meant...
stevenaia Michinaga: more as keeping a part of them alive
Korel Laloix: Oh OK..
stevenaia Michinaga: as such keeping them immortal
Korel Laloix: Odd how we remember things though sometimes.
stevenaia Michinaga: yes, I have found people remember things I have done and words I have said that even I do not remember
stevenaia Michinaga: and leave an impression on people that we have no idea of their impact
Korel Laloix: Triggers are very different for each of us for sure.

Korel Laloix: My life has a few encounters like that.
stevenaia Michinaga: :)
Korel Laloix: People who had profound impacts on me from just short chats in here even.
stevenaia Michinaga: yes, and I;m sure their intend was not to be profound at alll, yet you were ready for their words to take hold
stevenaia Michinaga: like ship passing, they have an affect on each other without even knowing it
Korel Laloix: I think sometimes it is just a matter of someone filling in a space that I dont' know what do with.
stevenaia Michinaga: yes
Korel Laloix: Filling with an idea or words that bring many strage parts together.
Korel Laloix: wow my typing is bad today.
stevenaia Michinaga: I got that
stevenaia Michinaga: you be hanging around me too much (bad typing )
Korel Laloix: one of the reasons I started to take the idea of Faith seriously. it put a lot of thing together for me. or maybe put a structure that I could not see before.
Korel Laloix: So are you going to do a new sculpture?
stevenaia Michinaga: for the PaB show, I hope so, it;s jsut begining to form, I ahve a facilitator (someone who will build it)
Korel Laloix: Oh Ok... not built enough in SL to make my own either.

Korel Laloix: Sad how little I know about SL buidling after 11 years in here... lol
stevenaia Michinaga: ne either, which is why someone else will assit with the building of it . the sculpture is having to do with time, imortality and memories that I mentioned before
Korel Laloix: Sounds like a meaningful way to give a physical form to a moving thought.
stevenaia Michinaga: nods
Korel Laloix: Funny how temporary I think of SL, even though I have been in here for so long.
stevenaia Michinaga: jsut a few minutes now and then,

stevenaia Michinaga: over 11 years
stevenaia Michinaga: what else ahve you done consistently for 11 years?
Korel Laloix: Running is the only other thing I could put in the catagory.
Korel Laloix: School almost.
Korel Laloix: Thinking about the memories of the former me... maybe I should have a memorial for her.
stevenaia Michinaga: her?
Korel Laloix: The person I am now is so different from teh me that joined SL back in 2005.
stevenaia Michinaga: true with all of us
Korel Laloix: But you have me thinking with your memorial comments.
Korel Laloix: Been trying to think of how to lay some things to rest in my past that I can't seem to let go or bury.
stevenaia Michinaga: interesting thought of yourself, as you are that memory
Korel Laloix: So that was my thought of the memorial.
stevenaia Michinaga: A thought of my left memory.... I left an impression about myself on someone I barely even knew (in High school) 40 years later what they told that impression and it was something I only recently understood about myself. Sometimes you miss aspect of yourself that others easily see in you
Korel Laloix: But getting in the way putting things in my past to rest, the Internet never forgets...
Korel Laloix: Wonder what I did miss, to focused on the negative. hmm.. interesting thoughs.

Korel Laloix: Funny enough, Sama has taken to doing that on occation.. and has some interesting comments... smiles
stevenaia Michinaga: I remember early on there was a log that was not posted exactly because the internet never forget and the conversations was such that even though we were initially given permission to publish it, in the end the guardian feld that it would not be a good idea for this information to be online

Korel Laloix: There are some things looking back I wish I had not said that made it to the blogs.
Korel Laloix: But what I say in here is the least of my Internet issues.
