The Guardian for this meeting was Riddle Sideways. The comments are by Riddle Sideways.
Riddle Sideways: thank you, Listener Master. Sorry for sitting here and not claiming quicker ;)
Adams Rubble: Good morning Riddle :)
Riddle Sideways: good morning, Adams
Riddle Sideways: was off documenting a non-recalled dream
Adams Rubble: ohhh
Riddle Sideways: how was the drive
Riddle Sideways: the weather
Riddle Sideways: health?
Adams Rubble: The drive was awful, the weather is gloomy for the third day in a row and my health is good. I am happy
Adams Rubble: how about you?
Riddle Sideways: Great
Riddle Sideways: walk downstairs was easy, daylight is almost complete, sleepy, face cat doing her thing, and am happy
Adams Rubble: :)
Adams Rubble: I went and found one of Pema's PaB yesterday and the first chapter was "Time" so I read it and then blogged
Riddle Sideways: thank you, for the topic suggestion yesterday
Riddle Sideways: so prep reading could be done
Riddle Sideways: oh, not read your blog yet
Adams Rubble: the conlusion was that he wanted the reader to stop every 15 minutes for 9 seconds and contemplate "appearance as more fundamental than existence"
Riddle Sideways: not opened email
Adams Rubble: there is too much to read right now
Riddle Sideways: ah, good
Adams Rubble: I have not related that to time yet
Riddle Sideways: yes, did a quick search on "no time" and then "no-time" and got so much
Adams Rubble: that bell seems early
Riddle Sideways: quick pause timer
Riddle Sideways: need to get notes over to this computer, but ...
Adams Rubble: do you have better material than I do?
Riddle Sideways: found a great presentation by SoloBill
--BELL--
Riddle Sideways: "11 Presentations on no-time" No past, present, or future"
Adams Rubble: Solobill just had a birthday
Riddle Sideways: wow, you are still in contact?
Adams Rubble: sort of
Adams Rubble: do you have a link or some comments?
Riddle Sideways: Pema had asked Bill to take 3-days and reflect on No-Time
Riddle Sideways: getting it
Riddle Sideways: https://wiki.playasbeing.org/Guardian_Pages/Guardians'_Contributions/Solobill/11_Presentations_on_no-time%3a_No_past%2c_present%2c_or_future?highlight=no-time
Riddle Sideways: from reading old sessions that had many people in attendance, it is good to have just 2 of us discussing ㋡
Riddle Sideways: some sessions had so many hello/goodbyes
Riddle Sideways: that SiloBill special report is a really great summary
Adams Rubble: do you have thoughts about it?
Riddle Sideways: then found: https://wiki.playasbeing.org/Guardian_Pages/Guardians'_Contributions/Pema/2010%2f%2f5%2f%2f15%3a_PaB_Drop_Day_Report_by_Pema?highlight=PaB+Drop+day+report
Riddle Sideways: just the first and last part
Riddle Sideways: well, found several other references and good stuff. much time reading and smiling
Riddle Sideways: however, now to your comment
Riddle Sideways: of what have we learned since then
Riddle Sideways: or how do we feel now
Riddle Sideways: or was it 'let's open up that can again'?
Riddle Sideways: Got thinking of recent "no-time" occasions
Riddle Sideways: hit upon these Mindfulness practices
Riddle Sideways: these practices of just watching your breath
Riddle Sideways: That and just that
Riddle Sideways: no other thoughts
Riddle Sideways: put on hold all those other thoughts
Riddle Sideways: just the In Breath
Riddle Sideways: and then the Out Breath
Riddle Sideways: Then finding the stillness
Riddle Sideways: between the In and Out
Adams Rubble: :)
Riddle Sideways: finding that stillness of between. Of not In and not Out
Riddle Sideways: at first is it holding breath
Riddle Sideways: and thoughts of "Your Holding Your Breath"!
Riddle Sideways: Then
Riddle Sideways: with real quiet
Riddle Sideways: No, there is a No-Time space there
--BELL--
Riddle Sideways: even stopping the "an I will Die"
Riddle Sideways: or worse an ego would die
Adams Rubble: hmmm
Riddle Sideways: But there is a space
Riddle Sideways: A NOW
Riddle Sideways: that is a no-time
Adams Rubble: are you saying we can detach ourselves from time?
Riddle Sideways: seem to think so, seem to have done it
Riddle Sideways: should back up and explain some other personal experiences
Adams Rubble: we can try to live in the present separating the [past and future from the time line
Riddle Sideways: During an intense period of Aikido training, got to the slowing of Time
Adams Rubble: I may know something that I am forgetting right now because I am not connecting yet
Adams Rubble listens
Riddle Sideways: it wasn't the 'RealTime' that had been going along
Riddle Sideways: then the TSK Time/Great Time sections
Riddle Sideways: have only read them twice, so no expert
Riddle Sideways: then the Zeroth Time sessions with Stim
Riddle Sideways: that really resonated
Riddle Sideways: yes, the separating of past and future
Riddle Sideways: and Being so Present
Adams Rubble suddenly feels very ignorant
Riddle Sideways: no, Don't!
Riddle Sideways: you know something that you (temporarily) are forgetting
Adams Rubble: I remember Stim's observation that in each moment we have negative or positive energy. That then goes into the next moment.
Adams Rubble: hard to break out of negative energy when it gets settled in
Riddle Sideways: yes, hard to break out
Adams Rubble: I am not sure that informs much about time
Riddle Sideways: some (silly people) would say you have to break out of positive energy too
Adams Rubble: Cotton Mather?
Riddle Sideways: the analyzing of "I was being Positive/Negative" and "Must force break out (in the next cycle)" cycle
--BELL--
Adams Rubble: hmmm. I was thinking more in terms of recognizing when you have been overtaken by negative energy. That used to happen to me often
Adams Rubble spent 90 seconds meditating on Cottom Matther. sorry folks
Adams Rubble: where do we go from here?
Riddle Sideways: coming back, just laughing that 'Increase' Matther had a son named 'Cotton'
Riddle Sideways: would like to read more of the great gems in the Wiki
Adams Rubble: we could continue this theme through sessions
Riddle Sideways: the "Time" book by Pema only got a quick skim
Riddle Sideways: yes, would like to continue
Adams Rubble: I really feel like I am missing something important--just like the old days
Riddle Sideways: good to have those feelings
Riddle Sideways: again
Riddle Sideways: good to have a topic ahead and do a bit of study beforehand
Adams Rubble: :)
Adams Rubble: there is a clock inside our cells that determines when they are going to die.
Adams Rubble: isn;t that time?
Riddle Sideways: chapter 12 of the Time book is re: no-time
Adams Rubble: ahh, did not have time to get to that
Riddle Sideways: only there is also a mention of "Fourth Time"
Adams Rubble: uh oh
Riddle Sideways: yet, the cells have their own 'Time'
Adams Rubble: Pema wrote that when he did not get enough sleep he could only function administratively not creatively
Adams Rubble: I have to get up early on Tuesdays and my brain may not be functioning on all cyclinders
Riddle Sideways: all of this is tied to that Huge 'Dualism' stuff/bag/hole/subject
Adams Rubble: ahhh, the dualism stuff
Adams Rubble: then we need to bring in the love stuff :)
Riddle Sideways: is best to just note that you see the Dualism in the doorway and go back to watching no-time
Riddle Sideways: the sweet breath In
--BELL--
Adams Rubble: thank you for the session :)
Riddle Sideways: too be continued, Thank you
Adams Rubble: yes Thursday
Adams Rubble: bye for now . Have a good tow days
Riddle Sideways: you tow ;)
