The Guardian for this meeting was Adams Rubble. The comments are by Adams Rubble.

Riddle and I had agreed to talk about time in our sessions this week. The title is a suggested from pema in one of his PaB books. I had tried doing the exercise overnight on my blog and Riddle had read them. That began our conversation.

Before the session was over my computer froze and by the time I had rebooted the session was over beu Luci had joined Riddle. Unfortunately I was not able to stay.

Adams Rubble: Good morning Riddle :)
    Riddle Sideways: Hey Adams
Riddle Sideways: Stalled at writing a Time related welcome
    --BELL--
Adams Rubble: my computer is having time related issues right now
    Adams Rubble: lots of lag
Riddle Sideways: must each time zone be mentioned in Hello
Riddle Sideways: drinking coffee to work on lag
    Adams Rubble: :)
Riddle Sideways: read email, your blog bits
Adams Rubble: ohhh listener, my apologies
    Riddle Sideways: ㋡
Adams Rubble: I posted this morning about results
    Riddle Sideways: APAT
Adams Rubble: busy morning with RL stuff
Adams Rubble: yes, APAT was this morning
Adams Rubble: After Tuesday i was glad to see Pema say that no one knew what time was :)
Riddle Sideways: please remind what "R" stands for?

Riddle is referring to an abbreviation in my blog

Riddle Sideways: Appreciate the Presence of Appearance as Time
Adams Rubble: R replaces F in my blog. lag is slowing me down from checking what the word is
    Adams Rubble: "A Reflection"
    Riddle Sideways: ok
Adams Rubble: I guess I could leave it off
Riddle Sideways: no, is still good shorthand
Riddle Sideways: it just happened that all 10 points were Reflections
Adams Rubble: they could have been meditations
    Adams Rubble: observations

I mention one stop that had not yet made it into my blog-My Little Buddha Box

Adams Rubble: there was something that did not make the blog
Adams Rubble: I have a little "boxed Buddha" near my bed
Adams Rubble: It is soemthing I purchased in the Asian Museum in Washington DC many years back
Adams Rubble: there is a little book inside with Buddha quotes
Adams Rubble: it has a little statue of Buddha sitting in a plastic nest that looks out from the box
Adams Rubble: I rarely look at it
Adams Rubble: but last night I was turning on the light to write down APAT observations but also to write down other things I had to do today
Adams Rubble: I was much awake last night
Adams Rubble: In any cases, one of the times the light was on I looked at the Buddha and the Buddha liooked at me
Adams Rubble: and I said what do you have to do with time
Adams Rubble: and I did not get an answer either from the Buddha or from my tired brain
Adams Rubble: I should have put that in the blog
    Riddle Sideways: ah
Adams Rubble: I think there is an answer somewheere in my head
    Riddle Sideways: yes
Adams Rubble: in ultimate reality the Buddha dissolves into the universe
    Adams Rubble: nothing and everything
Adams Rubble: I think my brain was looking for a connection to that
Adams Rubble 's brain cries "uncle"
    Adams Rubble: :)
Riddle Sideways: OR looking so hard that seeing is hard
    --BELL--
Riddle Sideways: when it is not seen right away, one says "brain is tired"
    Adams Rubble: :)
Adams Rubble: I did not get enough sleep last night
Adams Rubble: my brain may actually be tired
Riddle Sideways: sorry, think I got your share

    History and Time

Riddle Sideways: in the other blog posting, you remark on history repeating itself
    Adams Rubble: yes
Riddle Sideways: yet yesterday was in a phone conv
Adams Rubble: history is not linear
Adams Rubble: it is not circular :)
Adams Rubble: it is not square :)
Adams Rubble listens for phone conv
Riddle Sideways: that was a young person relating how an old person was being old fashioned
Riddle Sideways: not up to where present is
    Adams Rubble: :)
Riddle Sideways: seeing that each generation had moved a mark
Riddle Sideways: yet, now, thinking that conversation repeats
Adams Rubble: when we were young we knew we were right
    Riddle Sideways: absolutely
Adams Rubble: there are always selfish and ignorant people who gain positions of power
Riddle Sideways: and those old foggies are stuck in the past
    Riddle Sideways: oh that too
Adams Rubble: I plead old foggie on lots of technical stuff
Adams Rubble: all that technical stuff is not preventing the greedy rich sucking the money out of the economy
Adams Rubble: or all the young people going off to wars they do not understand
Riddle Sideways: or drilling new holes in the ocean
Adams Rubble: taking all the fish out of the oceans
Adams Rubble: history happens in time
Adams Rubble: it is not a march to enlightenment
Adams Rubble: we all have to work for that individually
Riddle Sideways: tomorrow will always be a better day
Adams Rubble: one at a time
Adams Rubble: ohh, there is that time word
    Adams Rubble: an idiom?
    --BELL--
Riddle Sideways: 8.R - The evolution of mankind is time related.
    Adams Rubble nods
Riddle Sideways: if enough individuals work on it
Adams Rubble: we evolved over many eons - it is nature's way
Adams Rubble: no species has yet consciously eveolved
Riddle Sideways: am standing at a view point now, that looks over the years and years of slow evolution and the then the quick regression of mankind
Adams Rubble: we choose our mates for many reasons
Riddle Sideways: regressed so fast these last 2 years
Adams Rubble: I don;t think mankind has regressed :)
Adams Rubble: policy in US has regressed
Adams Rubble: selfish, greedy people in charge
    Adams Rubble: lots of ignorance
Riddle Sideways: take choice away from women
Adams Rubble: they are called conservatives wrongly; they rightly are reactionaries
Riddle Sideways: the crime of being Black in America
Adams Rubble: trying to take us back to 1890s
Adams Rubble: I think we may be getting off our time topic
Riddle Sideways: so trying to get off those bad topics
    Riddle Sideways: sorry
Adams Rubble: no need to be sorry
Adams Rubble: I truly believe that changes must come to each of us individually
Adams Rubble: each of must work to lose our ignorance
    Riddle Sideways: back to Time
    Adams Rubble: our wrong beliefs
    Adams Rubble: it takes work
Adams Rubble: yes, and so what have we learned (relearned) about time?
Riddle Sideways: hmmm, it was so easy to just go along with the Earth is the center of the universe belief
    Adams Rubble: oh yes
Adams Rubble: without the earth we do not exist
Adams Rubble: our atoms would float away and dissolve into the universe
    Adams Rubble: like a Buddha
    Adams Rubble: :)
    Riddle Sideways: everything and nothing
Adams Rubble: let's imagine that happened--then what is time?
    Adams Rubble head explodes
Riddle Sideways: it is not ONE thing
    Adams Rubble: hmmm
Riddle Sideways: that might be the stumbling blocks
Riddle Sideways: it is proly consistant, but not constant
Riddle Sideways: however convenient that would be
Adams Rubble: Einstein and the speed of light and matter keeps trying to get some attention in the RAM of my brain
Adams Rubble: is that related to time?

    RAPT

    Riddle Sideways: perception of time
    --BELL--
Riddle Sideways: really Appreciate the Perception of Time
    Riddle Sideways: RAPT
Riddle Sideways: BTW - Beel is not on the same perception
    Adams Rubble: :)
Riddle Sideways: are you sure Time is the same for the very young?
Adams Rubble: you mean slow for all?
Riddle Sideways: does the little one have the same Time
    Adams Rubble: perception of time
Riddle Sideways: the slow waiting to get there
Adams Rubble: as you pointed out
Riddle Sideways: the jump in time during a nap
Adams Rubble: I only have the sample that everyone I have talked about this so far has had the same experience as i have had
Adams Rubble: the perception that time moved more slowly when we were young
Riddle Sideways: Yes, Everybody agrees; the world is Flat
    Adams Rubble: touche
Riddle Sideways: still hear Tommy Smothers saying "Touchy Touchy"
Riddle Sideways: (Luci is online ㋡
    Adams Rubble: yes
Riddle Sideways: been such a long Time ㋡
Adams Rubble: I am hoping to stay on Time for a little while

Time waits for no avatar. I got lost and in the interval Luci arrived

Lucinda Lavender: 's current display-name is "Luci".
Riddle Sideways: funny that this mornings 6:30am telemarketer call could not look up the Time Zone being called
    Riddle Sideways: HOWDEE Cinda
    Riddle Sideways: the caped Luci
Riddle Sideways: We were discussing Time, No-Time and all that old stuff
Riddle Sideways: and how we had not seen you in a long Time
    Lucinda Lavender: :)))
Riddle Sideways: and how when one gets into deep talks, just using a Time related phrase
    --BELL--
Riddle Sideways: messes up a brain
    Lucinda Lavender: hmmm
Lucinda Lavender: Once upon a time
    Riddle Sideways: yep
    Lucinda Lavender: I feel I have entered a new time...being 65.
Riddle Sideways: seems Adams got so excited that crashed out
    Lucinda Lavender: oopsies

Lucinda Lavender: well sort of retired...
