Adams Rubble: Thank you, it is Tang
Adams Rubble: Hair not quite right but close

Riddle Sideways: Was talking about (the other) Tang a couple days ago
Riddle Sideways: Tang was (is?) a breakfast Orange juice substitute made for the Astronauts
Adams Rubble: yes, tasted nothing like orange juice :)

    Adams Rubble: shall we sit?

Adams Rubble: it's your session :)

Adams Rubble: Happy NJ Primary Day :)
    Riddle Sideways: oh!
Riddle Sideways: how will voting be done?
Adams Rubble: all Democrats and Republicans got mail in ballots about two months ago
Riddle Sideways: what about the Others?
Adams Rubble: those who did not fill them out and those without a party affiliation can vote by provisional ballot
Adams Rubble: in NJ you have to pick a party to vote in primary
    Riddle Sideways: ok
Adams Rubble: can switch party by going to municipality and changing
Riddle Sideways: and there are only 2 parties in NJ?
Adams Rubble: only two parties with primaries
Adams Rubble: the other parties pick their candidates in apartments over bards and laundromats :)
    Adams Rubble: bars not bards
    Riddle Sideways: ㋡
Riddle Sideways: picks the second Bard
Adams Rubble: we only had a choice between Biden and bernie
Riddle Sideways: same here. the other 5 parties got a ballot without the pres choice
Adams Rubble: last election we had a number of Dems who won seats traditionally Republican. Now they are being challenged by Progressive candidates
Riddle Sideways: even on the voting day, one could switch to non-affiliated and vote for a Dem candidate
Riddle Sideways: but not a Republican
Adams Rubble: very different from NJ
Adams Rubble: When I was in pennsylvania you had to wait two years before switching paties
Adams Rubble: I don;'t know if they changed that
Adams Rubble: I am bummed out that presidential race was decided months and months before NJ primary
Riddle Sideways: that Was the way it was, but got changed sometime
          --BELL--
Riddle Sideways: meant the changing of parties, use to be strict/no change
Riddle Sideways: California was almost always one of the last, so things were always decided by then
Adams Rubble: like many young people today I started out as a proud independent but the parties were closer then
Riddle Sideways: am still an Independent,
Adams Rubble: well it seemed that way anyway
Riddle Sideways: now, switch to something just at voting time
Adams Rubble: The R party has become reactionary
Adams Rubble: and now just weird
Riddle Sideways: yes, Reacting to having to wear a mask
Riddle Sideways: where did the BRB go?

Adams Rubble: Angela Merkle is popular again for the way she led germany and Europe through the crisis
    Riddle Sideways: hmmm
    Riddle Sideways: good, like her

Riddle Sideways: there was an NPR show "On The Media" July 3 that you already know, but might like
Riddle Sideways: about the Legacy museum in Montgomery, Alabama
Riddle Sideways: and other equal justice issues
Riddle Sideways: can't get link on this computer, it seems
Adams Rubble: that's OK. I will be busy the next few days

Riddle Sideways: (almost) remember being that young
          --BELL--
Adams Rubble: White cake with red white and blue icing served with blueberries and strawberries
Adams Rubble: and going down to Independece Hall to hear president or vice president try to bring country together
Riddle Sideways: parades through town, kids on bikes with streamers in the spokes
Adams Rubble: that's what I remember--it does not mean that is what happened :)
    Riddle Sideways: ㋡

Riddle Sideways: subscribed to Disney+ for this weekend's showing of Hamilton. so am watching all the fun Disney movies (again)

Adams Rubble: yes, we've got trouble in Rover City
    Adams Rubble: River
Riddle Sideways: and was that a fourth o July parade in it?
Adams Rubble: Rover City has trouble keeping marriages together
Adams Rubble: dn't know about the parade
    Riddle Sideways: giggling
Riddle Sideways: Toy Story 3 was tough to watch. Daughter had just gone off to college. and it is about the boy growning up
