2011.03.01 Working Group Meeting

1. Email discussions: Log format guidelines: what can be changed and why?

Result: Nothing was decided but thoughts were aired passionately.

2. Guardian selection

Guardians wholeheartedly whole heartedly endorsed Xirana Oximoxi

Freud expressed that she doesn't want to be a guardian so will not bring her up again

Suggestions given for Criteria for selection: What do we look for in a Guardian?

• Interest
• Enthusiasm!
• An understanding of the basic ideas of the PaB group tuned in,
• Cares for others because guardianing is about others
• I think it's along the lines of what we discussed at the Sunday (Feb 27) mtg
• no fidgeters
• the willingness or interest to "guard" others or the process ... understanding a bit about what that is.
• well at a minimum .. being able to sit still for 90 seconds :). and being a good listener .. rather than a debater

 Guardian Roles and responsibilities

• hosting a Pavilion discussion session; collecting, preparing, and publishing the session log
• participating in other PAB activities like Art as Being
• becoming a member of the working group 
• editing the chronicles,
• putting on art exhibitions and projects

Guardian Benefits

• Guardians get on the pab google list, and
• get write access to the wiki which they may or may not make use  
• get free land  in Bieup

3. Donations update 2011/03/01

We now have $435 from a target of $800 for the first quarter. It seems we will get about 2/3 our target.

4. Working Group Review

We should start thinking about the WG review. The process we used last time which was basically to see what we're doing, what the PaB group is involved in, what needs "working attention", and who can pay that.

Decision: We will discuss this purpose through emails

Eliza said she'd like to return as did Aphrodite. Hana Furlough would really like to continue, but she is getting a little swamped in RL, plus the time change is hard.

5. Party party

Aphrodite wants to organize a party round the oak tree in the common land shared by herself, Sunshine and Bruce:  games, streaming music, music making, food, wine.

Actions:

• On April 1, PaB will be 3 years old and we will try and put together a party committee to celebrate PAB’s third birthday on that date and include Yaku's voice session starting at noon.
• Storm Nordwind will investigate building a music streamer; presets plus programmable, include a tour of the three session sites and will check the land permissions and make it a balloon tour
• Aph will let the group know when party is and invite people to share in the preparations.
