WORKING GROUP MINUTES -- October 12, 2011

Attending:  Aphrodite, Alfred, Stevenaia, Bruce

1. New Guardians

There were no new recommendations for persons to become Guardians.  (Any Guardian can recommend an interested visitor at PaB sessions to become a Guardian.)

A standing invitation is extended to any/all guardians to volunteer to be part of the Working Group.  This month there were no volunteers.

2. PaB email list

There was some concern about "off-topic" emails sent to all persons on the PaB list.   No limiting policies were recommended, although we want to alert everyone that the PaB Cafe sub-group might be a good place for emails not meant for all PaB members:

Should the PaB email list be reduced to those members who have attended in the past 12 months?  It was decided not to eliminate anyone from that list -- as some "old timers" might want to stay informed.  Anyone who wants her/his name removed from the general PaB email list should tell one of the WG members, and it will be done.

3. Revised PaB Intro Card

The WG commends and thanks Samuo for the proposed update of the visitor notecard.  These changes were adopted by the WG and an updated notecard made - - Aphrodite will ask Storm to post this updated notecard at the four Info stations/markers at the Pavilion.

4. The Volunteer Community webpage

( http://wiki.playasbeing.org/Guardian_Pages/Volunteer_Community) needs updating -- specifically where there are overlaps between Kira and PaB groups.  Persons who have recommendations for the updating of the Volunteer Community page should present them through email to the WG ( pabwg@playasbeing.org). Alfred will oversee this process. 

We anticipate having a final draft of the updated Volunteer Page to present to the general membership after our November 9th WG meeting.

5. Appropriate location and process of political or religious discussions and signs

Should an alternative place to the Pavilion be recommended for persons to voice political and religious viewpoints?  We decided to wait until the theme session on the Vashon Island retreat (Sunday, October 15, 13:00) for a further discussion. (They will be presenting some recommendations.)

6. Next WG meeting (2^nd Tuesday of every month.)

The next WG meeting will be November 9, 2011, at 11:30 slt.
