Attending:
Eos Amaterasu, Eliza Madrigal, Aphrodite Macbain, Agatha Macbeth, Bruce Mowbray, Sunshine Vayandar, Calvino Rabeni,
1. Sun’s Music Sessions:
- there is no specific plan with the music sessions
- it's on every Wednesday at 8 am SLT - after Eliza's session
- if anyone wants to do it at different times Sun will move it around
- it's basically just about being creative or just sitting and enjoying
- today they floated around in bubbles then moved on to some African vibes
- people can play with sounds or play the guitar in RL or listened to Luci telling us poems in voice
- but nothing is planned in advance at all
- Publicity needs improving.
Along with putting it in druth's calendar, before each session Sunwill send out a notice and let people know in chat. She will also send an email message to the Friends group and maybe, in the future, post an event listing at the Pavilion.
- Eliza Madrigal was concerned that it is easy to have too much work for one person...
- Sun reported that it's been a bit difficult to get together with Hana but she will find the time
- Eliza MadrigalI wondered whether we might have a musical guardian session which would promote the idea.
- we can keep an eye on this item, to see if over time an afternoon session might be good to try too
2. Having events boards in the Cafe and at the Pavilion
- We have an event board at the pavilion and it was suggested Druth could update that as well as maintain the one on the Wiki. Agreed that it is best is to have one person maintaining event notices. The question is, does druth want to do more than what she is already doing?
- It was agreed to return to this discussion item in a few weeks so that Eliza could talk to Storm and Piet, about the extent of PaB/Kira overlap in promotion, etc. Once that has been decided Cal agreed to talk to druth.
3. Donations
- Aphrodite Macbain reported that, according to Storm, donations are coming in- at that date they have received $276 of the $800 needed for the trimester period or quarter (April-June).
- Aph said she would do another donation email reminder to the Guardians and will check with Storm to get any info updates
- Aphrodite reminded everyone of the donations notice board at the Pavilion that Storm has installed. It collects in $ and L$ and is easy to use. She will remind people of this when she sends out the notice.
- We will talk about both music and donations at the upcoming guardian meeting
- We will politely persistent about reminding Guardians about donations
4. One day working group retreat in May
The date of May 29 was suggested with perhaps two, two hour sessions with a two hour break.
Eliza will organize the retreat. Eliza asked for feedback in emails. We may, in fact, want to stretch it over two days, even weekdays if it works out that way.... even overlapping and using this time, for instance
5. 1 a.m. PaB session having no GoCs
Some thoughts:
- make the 1 am shift more attractive
- gather preferences from everyone
- offer hidden treats
- try to move people around in order to keep up with the times.
- If we didn't fix the time slot to be in a every 6 hour spot, consider where would it best be
Any decision on this item was postponed.
