--BELL--
Adams Rubble: I hope you are well
Eden Haiku: Was at the ophtalmologist. Hard to get an appointment so I took what they gave me. Great news my right eye vision is almost perfect!

All day Buddhist retreat
Adams Rubble: I was at my first all day Buddhist retreat yesterday
Adams Rubble: Meditated all day
Eden Haiku: Good morning Riddle!
Eliza Madrigal: wow nice!
Riddle Sideways: good
Eden Haiku: Wow! How was it Adams?
Adams Rubble: My mind was pretty put out by it and kept complaining all day
Riddle Sideways: :)
Eliza Madrigal grins
Adams Rubble: lots to complain about--it was regimented with lots of exercises
Catrinamonblue Resident: :)
Eliza Madrigal: What type of buddhism?
Eliza Madrigal: (weird question) :)
Adams Rubble: I really felt I did not get much out of it but a funny thing happened last night triggered by something else
Adams Rubble: Chan
Eliza Madrigal: ah, nice
Eliza Madrigal listens
Adams Rubble: I woke up at 2 am and read the last chapter of TSK to remember what was said about Being and APAPN
Eden Haiku: :)
Adams Rubble: I felt a little like Buddha rejecting the previous ascetic stuff (on a much smaller scale of course) :)
Eliza Madrigal: a bit like breaking a fast
Eliza Madrigal: and feeling today?
Adams Rubble: blogging like a crazy person?
Eden Haiku: hehe
Eliza Madrigal: :))
Riddle Sideways: :)
Adams Rubble: hehe, not quite, I can't do that any more
Catrinamonblue Resident: :)
Eden Haiku: You had your grain of rice moment Adams, at the retreat :)
Adams Rubble: it was a long bicycle ride and on the way I passed a church with a sign advertising the sermon for the day which was "God is the Author of Spring"
Adams Rubble: which brought up APAPB to me :)
Adams Rubble: btw, it was fun watching my mind complain and being able to let it go without following it
--BELL--
Riddle Sideways: fun
Eden Haiku: :)
Eden Haiku: Loves the line: "lots to complain about`
: about a meditation retreat:)
Adams Rubble: yes Buddhist boot camp
Adams Rubble is not good at following orders
Riddle Sideways: exhausting exercises
TSK
Eden Haiku: Tappan Zee bridge experience really interesting in last session log Riddle, tks Adams for pointing to it :)
Eden Haiku: As well as for posting it...
Adams Rubble: Thanks to you who post every week and one for more than once a week :)
Riddle Sideways: hmmmm, one doesn't get them posted as fast as others
Riddle Sideways: (guilty)
Eden Haiku: Missed you Riddle:) It seems you enjoyed your trip?
Adams Rubble: Eliza, when you had the TSK sessions recently, did you discuss the last chapter at length?
Adams Rubble must go and look for that
Eliza Madrigal: /ne finds her mind playing with Adams typo of APAPN ... at first the N was 'now', then ' no self'...
Adams Rubble: whoops
Eliza Madrigal: no playing with the typo is fun
Eliza Madrigal: :)
Eliza Madrigal: Oh, hm TSK... by the end some had fallen away but... let me see
Eden Haiku: Finally found my hard cover copy of TSK, a few days ago. Was reading it in Kindle during the sessions. Never completed it though...
Adams Rubble: Nisaragatta
Catrinamonblue Resident: glances guiltily at dusty book on shelf :)
Eden Haiku: Me too Cat, guilt :)
Eliza Madrigal: https://wiki.playasbeing.org/Classes_and_Sessions/Time%2c_Space%2c_and_Knowledge/Time%2c_Space%2c_and_Knowledge_-_Part_3_%5bKNOWLEDGE%5d This is the page for section 3
Catrinamonblue Resident: :)
Eden Haiku: The exercises were much fun too....
Adams Rubble: don’t feel guilty, it is not easy reading
Adams Rubble: Thank you Eliza
Eliza Madrigal: I think we stopped short of BEING, but we actually delved in to so much and explored each other's way of exploring in a beautiful way
Eden Haiku: Loved Maxine's book but got too much work to do. I had to focus
Catrinamonblue Resident: :)
Riddle Sideways: did the session end? or continually loop back to start again?
Eliza Madrigal: Stim didn't care for the idea of my being too linear in how we went through, nor I really, but hard to orgznize otherwise, so no one should feel guilty for missing big parts etc
Catrinamonblue Resident: I'm behind on reading for Maxines book, and most likely will miss this afternoon due to dentist :)
Eden Haiku: Guilt is not good for our health anyway :)
Eliza Madrigal: :) She'll visit on Thursday
Adams Rubble: Interesting about Stim's reaction
Adams Rubble: Did you suggest that maybe he should reorder the book?
Adams Rubble giggles
Eliza Madrigal: haha
A quote written on the sidewalk
Eden Haiku: Oh! I would have like to attend but I have a literary event at that time...
Eliza Madrigal: right, Eden, re guilt :) have to have trust that what we need to find individually, we'll find, with due diligence
Eliza Madrigal: what is your event? :))
Eden Haiku: Just a cocktail for participating in some project: one of my sentences is wriiten on the sidewalk downtown, along with other writers:)
Adams Rubble: :)
Catrinamonblue Resident: :)
Eliza Madrigal: lovely
Eliza Madrigal: Able to share the sentence?
Riddle Sideways: oh! so very nice
Eden Haiku: For the summer... After that, it will be covered with snow..But now, it’s hot and humdi as it is for you too Adams I think?
Eden Haiku: Sentence is in the contract somewhere...
Eliza Madrigal: :) ok
--BELL--
Eden Haiku: "The sun was bathing the sky over the mountain as we went out in Saint-Louis Square"
Catrinamonblue Resident: :)
Eden Haiku: I didn’t pick the sentence myself...
Adams Rubble: Throat grabbing heat and humidity here but the northeast si being threatened with heroic thunderstorms and rain this afternoon
Adams Rubble: nice Eden :)
Eden Haiku: And it’s in French, so my translation "bathing" is not quite right :)
Eliza Madrigal: oh, wonderful. That seems a good choice for a walk... atmospheric
Catrinamonblue Resident: :)
Riddle Sideways: imagines how French has many words for bathing
Sorting out papers
Eden Haiku: Yesterday, I went through papers from my Mom's I had no courage to sort out in the last 8 years....
Catrinamonblue Resident: that's hard
Eden Haiku: Found an obituary card (not sure of the word) from my father's little sister who died at 7 years old. My father was still talking about her in his old age. That was very moving to find her picture.
Catrinamonblue Resident: oh wow
Eliza Madrigal: Oh :(
Eden Haiku: A cute little blond girl. He loved her dearly, She was a few years younger than him
Eden Haiku: Had the feeling both my parents were hovering over the kitchen table as I was looking at obituary cards they collected.
Adams Rubble: ancestors looking
Catrinamonblue Resident: :)
Adams Rubble: ancestors seeing
Eden Haiku: Many uncles and aunts that passed away, grand-parents... Yes, ancestors looking
Adams Rubble nods
Eden Haiku: A great uncle from the family branch in Florida....
Eden Haiku: My great-grand-father had an orange farm in Florida
Adams Rubble: very moving to discover something so personal that your father carried with him his whole life--his sense of loss--and his parents too
Eliza Madrigal nods
Eden Haiku: Yes, very moving.
Eden Haiku: Also, she came to me recently in a therapy session. That was so strange!
Eden Haiku: We also carry our ancestors wounds and worries...
Adams Rubble: yes we do
Eden Haiku: Metagenealogy...
Adams Rubble: It is good to begin to understand those wounds and worries
Eden Haiku: Yes :)
A reinterpretation
Eliza Madrigal: there is a reinterpretation of 'carrying the sins of fathers and forefathers, etc." in A Course in Miracles, toward healing rather than judgment. I really like that
Eden Haiku: A reinterpreation Eliza?
Eliza Madrigal: reinterpretation for those of us who were taught in a screwy way in the first place ;-)
Eden Haiku: Ah, yes....
Riddle Sideways: :)
Eliza Madrigal: rather than carrying shame, compassion
Eden Haiku: My paternal grandmother had Native Indian blood and it's all coming back to me it seems...
Eden Haiku: Oops! [had talked on the bell]
--BELL--
Adams Rubble: rl interruption. will be back
Eden Haiku: I now think she was sent to one of these residence schools where Indians were taught French and being shamed for talking their native languages. I have to check the facts with the few people still alive who knew her...
Eliza Madrigal: hope you find records, that's quite interesting
Catrinamonblue Resident: nods, fascinating
Eden Haiku: Records, that would be a good idea... I will have to first interview one aunt and one uncle, but that is a very sensitive subject....
Catrinamonblue Resident: family issues generally are
Eden Haiku: My greandmother was totally unwilling to talk about her origins. I think she was raped in the residence school. Many children were,,
Catrinamonblue Resident: oh dear :(
Eden Haiku: I better understand now why she was so rigid and so by-the-book about religion. She was shamed.
Eliza Madrigal: sad to consider
Adams Rubble: back
Eden Haiku: Yes Cat, family issues usually are :)
Eliza Madrigal: my family history is such a tangle, due tomy mother's creative histories
Eliza Madrigal: andlots of estrangements
Eden Haiku: She invents?
Eliza Madrigal: oh yes
Eliza Madrigal: we cant believe but a portion of anything :)
Riddle Sideways:nice phrase "creative histories"
Eden Haiku: She cuts out other family people?
Adams Rubble: family stories are sometimes accurate, sometimes not, but usually always have some element of truth in them. I do not discount them until I find actual evidence that refutes them
Eliza Madrigal: well, it is that there are so many estrangements that no one checks her
Eliza Madrigal: :) my sister just took a genetic test, which was interesting... but she wanted to be sure of her basics
Adams Rubble: I must go. I have an errand to run before the storm
Catrinamonblue Resident: I don't have much family history at all.... but mostly as I'm to estranged one...
Adams Rubble: have a good day everyone :)
Eliza Madrigal: bye Adams :)
Eden Haiku: Reminds me of the book "People of the Lie" by Gregory Speck. A great book.
Catrinamonblue Resident: Bye Adams :)
Adams Rubble: bye bye
Eden Haiku: Bye Adams, have a great day!
Riddle Sideways: bye
Eliza Madrigal: the history is there, if you find interest eventually, Cat
Eliza Madrigal: so far no one has been interested in it all besides my mom, so we live with the creative versions hah
Catrinamonblue Resident: I know :) I think for myself at this point I have no need to know :) there's nothing that would change who I am now
Eden Haiku: Hah!
Eliza Madrigal nods... yes I relate to that too
Catrinamonblue Resident: :)
Riddle Sideways: :)
Broken lines of transmission
Eden Haiku: That is because you are still young Cat :)
Eliza Madrigal: I sometimes envy being able look down through the past with such continuity as others
Catrinamonblue Resident: My mom did have her native card so I know there is native American in the background :) and yes maybe it's because I'm young yet :)
Eden Haiku: Broken lines of transmission for almost all families I think Eliza...
Eliza Madrigal: yes
Catrinamonblue Resident: yes :)
Eliza Madrigal: creative lines of transmission? hehe
Riddle Sideways: yes
Eden Haiku: If she had her native card, then you are a half-blood too Cat :)
Eden Haiku: Like in Harry Potter you know :)
Eliza Madrigal: :)
Catrinamonblue Resident: She had to fight to get it... so I think it's a bit thinner that that :-D
Eden Haiku: Half-magical half-moldus
Catrinamonblue Resident: :)
Catrinamonblue Resident: I should go :) I want to get a walk in before my dentist appt this afternoon :)
Eliza Madrigal: rain has begun here :)
Catrinamonblue Resident: sunny here :)
Riddle Sideways: sun has begun here
Eliza Madrigal: happy dentisting, Cat :)
Eden Haiku: Have a nice walk Cat ;)
Eden Haiku: And good luck with the dentist :)
--BELL--
Take all the ancestry for a walk
Catrinamonblue Resident: the walk will be fun... the dentist.. maybe not so much :)
Eliza Madrigal: :))
Riddle Sideways: take all the ancestry for a walk
Eden Haiku: :)))
Catrinamonblue Resident: :)
Eliza Madrigal: hahah
Catrinamonblue Resident: bye all :)
Riddle Sideways: bye
Eden Haiku: Bye bye Cat !
Riddle Sideways: Eden, so some of your words are etched in stone?
Eden Haiku: Ancestors and multiple avatars are connected aren't they?
Riddle Sideways: yes, think so
Eden Haiku: laughs...In stone no Riddle, not yet :)
Eliza Madrigal: avatars and identity
Riddle Sideways: tangled up
Eliza Madrigal: similar but looser to the question of, 'how much typist influences avatar'
Eden Haiku: Only one sentence "Someone, somewhere, listens to me and does hear me".
Eden Haiku: It's on a wall in a detox center. They sent me a contract and a small fee, never seen the center though...
Eliza Madrigal: that's a wow
Riddle Sideways: wow
Eliza Madrigal: support to get free
Eden Haiku: Avatars and identity, yes. Adams was really good for pulling that question at the front of our minds during her Art of Being show...
Eliza Madrigal: I think differently about avatars when listening to Adams
Eden Haiku: She has a deep understanding of the phenomena doesn't she?
Eliza Madrigal: yes, deep layers of experience
Riddle Sideways: yes
Eliza Madrigal: the potential always seem vast, but some open them up to others in a nice way
Horizontal lineage
Eliza Madrigal:horizontal lineage
Eden Haiku: She's the only one in PaB who is split in two very distinct avatars isn't she? And both seem very real to me, though I haven't seen Dubrovna for quite a while
Eliza Madrigal: yes... others have counterparts who may not be around in PaB
Riddle Sideways: :)
Eden Haiku: horizontal lineage is quite a concept Eliza :) Love it!
Eliza Madrigal smiles... I think I do too... just popped up, lol
Eden Haiku: smiles
Eliza Madrigal: that's what disoriented Raffi about Adams presentation, but eventually in a good way... that in her experience in SL, diff avatars live in diff worlds
Riddle Sideways: and yet ... horizontal seems one dimensional
Eliza Madrigal: true, Riddle, maybe that's why the hesitation... not quite 'openness' of transmission or something ^^
Eden Haiku: And we are multi-dimensional Riddle?
Riddle Sideways: yes, both
Riddle Sideways: identity of so many parts
Eden Haiku: Indeed...
Riddle Sideways: the ancestry parts
Riddle Sideways: the avatar parts
Eden Haiku: the childish parts
Riddle Sideways: yes
Riddle Sideways: the performer parts
Riddle Sideways: the creative histories parts
Eden Haiku: the secret part
Eliza Madrigal: parts looking to be seen and known
Eden Haiku: the guardian parts
Eliza Madrigal: :)
Riddle Sideways: the attendee parts
Riddle Sideways: the absent reader parts
Riddle Sideways: /waves
Eliza Madrigal waves
Eden Haiku: in maieusthesy therapy, guardians play a very important role
--BELL--
Eden Haiku: waves to the absent readers
Eden Haiku: guardians protect the psyche from being overwhelmed by too hard to digest experiences
Eden Haiku: Here, we protect the silence with the help of the naughty bell
Eden Haiku: :)
Eliza Madrigal: like the 'mitigating parent'?
Riddle Sideways: darn! parent bell
Eden Haiku: Parent bell!
Eliza Madrigal: lots of attendees and guardians stick their tongue out at the parent from behind the door
Eliza Madrigal giggles
Eliza Madrigal: maieusthesy... trying to search the term....
Eden Haiku: hehe... I do too, sometimes, when the rebellious part pops in
Eliza Madrigal: :)))
Riddle Sideways: ha, yes was googling maieusthesy too
Riddle Sideways: and not finding
Riddle Sideways: found a french site
Eliza Madrigal: found one link to ebay, so you win
Eden Haiku: Yeah, I know, nothing is translated into English yet....Not even known here, only in France
Eden Haiku: I continue my therapy via Skype.
Riddle Sideways: Oh! the therapy you talked of last year
Eden Haiku: I love it!I lie in my bed and I speak to her/the therapist on iPhone. We use a video link so she can see me as I go "under" and I see her as I wish too..
Eliza Madrigal: that's a fantastic use of skype
Eden Haiku: It’s very expensive therapy but it's worth it!
Eliza Madrigal: did you see her for a while before, to establish connection and security between you?
Riddle Sideways: remember you saw her in France
Eden Haiku: Yes, I met her a few times in Paris in the fall of 2015 and the spring of 2016
Eden Haiku: It established a connection. Though I miss her hugs at the end of the session:) We only blow kisses now :)
Eden Haiku: .,¡i|¹i¡¡i¹|i¡,
Eden Haiku: `'¹li¡|¡|¡il¹'`
Riddle Sideways: imagine of going "under" while still holding iPhone as a selfie
Eliza Madrigal: hahhahaa
Eden Haiku: No, I use a small tripod, so I don't have to hold the phone. And it’s a large screen one,
Riddle Sideways: well ,need to get onto garbage and recycling :)
Eden Haiku: Thanks for being here this morning guys!
Eliza Madrigal: :) need to take doggo out in the rain
Riddle Sideways: and will have something come up during 1pm session time
Eliza Madrigal: thanks friends, for being here :)
Eliza Madrigal: hah
Riddle Sideways: thanks friends
Eden Haiku: have a great Monday a great week!
Eliza Madrigal: bye
Riddle Sideways: by All
Eden Haiku: Bye bye!
