Agatha Macbeth: Chopin wrote for guitar?
    Agatha Macbeth: Wow
    Bleu Oleander: virtually at least
    Agatha Macbeth: I'm impressed
Agatha Macbeth: Ah yes I know this
Xirana Oximoxi: I don't think so....but other musucuens adapted
    Agatha Macbeth: Hehe
    Eliza Madrigal nods.. beautiful
    Agatha Macbeth: Yay
    Xirana Oximoxi: musiciens
Bleu Oleander: nice selections with this guitar :)
    Xirana Oximoxi: relaxing.... :)
    Xirana Oximoxi: yes really nice
    Agatha Macbeth: The multi-talented Bleu
    Eliza Madrigal: multi-bleu
Bleu Oleander: sl can make anyone look talented haha
Agatha Macbeth: And multi-coloured too :p
    Xirana Oximoxi: :)
Eliza Madrigal dances in her seat
Bleu Oleander: picks up the tempo a bit
Agatha Macbeth: Shame Zen's missing this
    Bleu Oleander: perhaps too relaxing?
Xirana Oximoxi: nooo I love it
    Agatha Macbeth: Mmm it's nice
    Eliza Madrigal: love it too...
    Bleu Oleander: :)
Agatha Macbeth: I'm sure Liz needs relaxing after recent events :p
    --BELL--
Eliza Madrigal: am with Javier Bardem and he is telling me "you don't need a man...you need a champion..." lollol
    Eliza Madrigal: (00ps sorry)
    Agatha Macbeth: Who?
    Xirana Oximoxi: haha....
Bleu Oleander: u have some splaning to do ....
    Eliza Madrigal giggles
Xirana Oximoxi: Javier Bardem ! one of the most attractive Spanish actors :)
    Agatha Macbeth: Oh
Eliza Madrigal: (scene from Eat Pray Love film)
    Bleu Oleander: :)
Xirana Oximoxi: ahhh :-)) I thought you were with him :-)
    Bleu Oleander: watching now?
    Bleu Oleander: haha
Eliza Madrigal: music made me flow through the bell ...sorry
Eliza Madrigal: ah, no, it is that the music reminded me of the feeling of that segment of the film
Bleu Oleander: has a tendency to do that :)
Agatha Macbeth: No Rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrico today then?
    Eliza Madrigal smiles
    Xirana Oximoxi: ferrocarril :)
    Agatha Macbeth: Eek
    Eliza Madrigal: transported?
Agatha Macbeth: What does La Sakura research Liz?

    Eliza Madrigal: SL, Aggers :)
    Agatha Macbeth: Ah, good
    Bleu Oleander stops to listen
Xirana Oximoxi: just a difficult Spanish word for the 'rrrrr' sound
Eliza Madrigal: Let me copy Kiremimi's research notecard...to give a better idea
    Xirana Oximoxi listens too
    Agatha Macbeth: Hm, nice
    Agatha Macbeth: Should be interesting

Eliza Madrigal: LA SAKURA Sakura (cherry blossoms), in Japan, symbolize more than beautiful blossoms. In medieval Japan, under the blossoms, people of all standings and categories, men and women, young and old, could sit side by side to make and share pieces of poetry together. In this spirit, we built La Sakura, an estate in which people with various kinds of abilities and backgrounds can intermingle, sharing joys and sorrows, creativities, insights and appreciations of all kinds. La Sakura is also a place for group discussions, interviews, and other gatherings - - - associated with the Second Life research of Kiremimi Tigerpaw. Kiremimi Tigerpaw (Eiko Ikegami) is a sociologist and the award-winning author of the book "Bonds of Civility: Aesthetic Networks and Political Origins of Japanese Culture" (Cambridge University Press, 2005). She is Professor of Sociology at the New School for Social Research in New York. FRIENDS OF LA SAKURA To receive news about La Sakura and notices of events, please join the
    Bleu Oleander: any events lately?
Eliza Madrigal: we've been having ongoing focus groups
    Bleu Oleander: nice
Xirana Oximoxi: but it is a close group , isn't it?
Bleu Oleander: what is the focus now?
Eliza Madrigal: the focus of those groups changes continually but we are trying to zero in to specifics

(some discussion of La Sakura left out due to private nature of La Sakura's research)

Eliza Madrigal: pushing boundaries..admire that :)
    Agatha Macbeth smiles
    Agatha Macbeth: Yeh
Bleu Oleander: seems that PaB pushes many boundaries
    Agatha Macbeth: Good!
Eliza Madrigal: attracts boundary pushers :))
Bleu Oleander: is that good or bad thing?
Eliza Madrigal: good but risky? like high wire?
Agatha Macbeth: Maybe the trick is to see the boundaries are not there to begin with?
    Eliza Madrigal: wise Aggers
    Agatha Macbeth: heh
Bleu Oleander: grow can come from risk, yes?
    Agatha Macbeth: I think so
    Eliza Madrigal: very much so
Xirana Oximoxi: I think maybe La Sakura organises activitites only for private group..it makes it a bit unknown for me
Bleu Oleander: PaB was a risk at first I think
Eliza Madrigal: Xiri, yes... it has to be private because research requires permission
    Eliza Madrigal: due to publishings
    Xirana Oximoxi: I understand :)
    Agatha Macbeth nods
    --BELL--
Eliza Madrigal: but in the large scale it is a kind of awareness raising, research (I feel) because it informs people who will not understand otherwise
Agatha Macbeth: Thing is, without research we don't learn ;)
Eliza Madrigal: Kire also originally wanted to host more events and parties
    Agatha Macbeth: Wish she would!
Eliza Madrigal: but time zone coordination turns out to be more complicated than envisioned
    Agatha Macbeth: Aww
Eliza Madrigal: especially since she is back and forth from Japan and us
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Agatha Macbeth: The round world problem again
    Eliza Madrigal: mhm
Eliza Madrigal: in that sense Pab's schedule is even more brilliant
    Agatha Macbeth: Well yes
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
    Bleu Oleander: :)
Xirana Oximoxi: yes...Pab times are good for all around the world
Eliza Madrigal: Bleu, do you feel PaB has pushed your boundaries? And what about now? Maybe 'gaps' push boundaries too?
    Bleu Oleander: gaps?
Eliza Madrigal: yes...times that aren't as overtly challenging
Bleu Oleander: yes has pushed many boundaries I think
Bleu Oleander: am not really challenged at the moment
Eliza Madrigal nods... thus my question :)
Agatha Macbeth: Is that good or bad?
Bleu Oleander: on the edge of leaving it
    Bleu Oleander: sl that is
Eliza Madrigal: SL on the whole...really?
    Agatha Macbeth: Awww noooooooooo!
Eliza Madrigal: Due to changes in art community also?
    Agatha Macbeth: Please don't
Bleu Oleander: yes in some ways
Xirana Oximoxi: I hope you will not :)
Bleu Oleander: seems many artists are leaving
Bleu Oleander: so hanging in there for my once a week session :)
Eliza Madrigal: have noticed this too... wondering if they are going to other sims... where more independent control
    Bleu Oleander: I think so
Eliza Madrigal: surely the medium is not exhausted!
Agatha Macbeth: Yes, why is that?
    Bleu Oleander: other platforms
    Bleu Oleander: new SL TOS
Xirana Oximoxi: yes... and more cheap too...fr exemple InWorld
Eliza Madrigal: so how can we keep contact across these new boundaries?
    Bleu Oleander: a challenge
Bleu Oleander: in some ways looking more at face to face contact
Bleu Oleander: finding new value there
Eliza Madrigal nods... relate to that, and yet for me it is more about integration
Eliza Madrigal: not choosing one for the other
Bleu Oleander: yes, and for me as well
Bleu Oleander: except that the sl part is lacking lately
    Eliza Madrigal nods.... can't argue
Agatha Macbeth: Perhaps boundaries are what we need to get rid of?
    Bleu Oleander: yes!
Eliza Madrigal: what I can say is that there seem seasons and times to me... that what we have done and do here, sort of bakes... then it comes to fruition both here and in RL
Bleu Oleander: although we need them so we can break them lol
    Agatha Macbeth: Indeed!
    Xirana Oximoxi: :)
    Eliza Madrigal: our underground world
Agatha Macbeth: Underground overground wombling free...
Bleu Oleander: so question is how to stay engaged?
Eliza Madrigal: but I'm of a similar bent in that I like to feel challenged, and am not much of a hanger arounder, lol
Agatha Macbeth: Challenges help us evolve
    Bleu Oleander: :)
Eliza Madrigal: we need it all, yes
    Agatha Macbeth: Groove = stagnation
Eliza Madrigal: how to stay engaged... yes, that is the question
    Eliza Madrigal nods Agatha
Bleu Oleander: so looking for the next avenue of engagement :)
Eliza Madrigal: maybe it is individual...ie, did we individually stop bringing our bravery?
    Agatha Macbeth: Hm
    Eliza Madrigal: exposure..risk
Bleu Oleander: yes looking for some risk haha
Eliza Madrigal: or maybe there is a 'what for' about that
Agatha Macbeth: Guess the defences need to drop to progress sometimes
    Eliza Madrigal smiles
Eliza Madrigal: I feel there needs to be a sense of group project... but not sure how to find that
    Bleu Oleander: yes
Bleu Oleander: the last Art of Being project felt flat to me
    Bleu Oleander: lack of interest
Agatha Macbeth: Basically it comes down to interaction I think
Eliza Madrigal: I felt your disappointment, Bleu... and noticed you didn't even post on wiki
    Agatha Macbeth nods
Bleu Oleander: yes I just noticed that myself
Agatha Macbeth: Maybe we need to simplify things a bit?
Eliza Madrigal: it was stimulating for me somehow...the last one
Eliza Madrigal: but maybe I'm off key generally :P
Bleu Oleander: yes for me also
    Eliza Madrigal: how so Aggers?
Agatha Macbeth: Well, people can get cofused if things go too far off beam so to speak
    Agatha Macbeth: +n
Bleu Oleander: the theater projects were great energy I think
Eliza Madrigal: well, at risk of exposure .... I would love to see us re-do the whole sim area to be more flowy and less sectioned....
Agatha Macbeth: KISS like the army says :p
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
    Bleu Oleander: nice idea Eliza
    Agatha Macbeth: Yeh
    --BELL--
Bleu Oleander: might spark some community interests
Eliza Madrigal: could...and surely creative conversation
Agatha Macbeth: Would need to get onto Stormy about that of course
Bleu Oleander: I think the group spaces in the middle were originally for that?
Eliza Madrigal: mhm.... I wouldn't want to plow down common things
Eliza Madrigal: so, not sure what I'm thinking
Agatha Macbeth: Well for instance if the old pavilion in Rieul has disappeared, maybe we could ressurect it here?
Eliza Madrigal: originally our individually designed spaces were still 'shared' and open
    Bleu Oleander: aren't they still?
Eliza Madrigal: would love to do that Aggers... think that Druth had that in mind originally with ghost pavilion... keeping the feel
    Agatha Macbeth: Right
    Eliza Madrigal: but that's unfinished
Eliza Madrigal: I'm not sure if has felt that way for a while, Bleu... but maybe that's a reading into
Agatha Macbeth: At the end of the day it's what we all make it
    Eliza Madrigal: indeed
Bleu Oleander: indeed ... how engaged we are
Eliza Madrigal: and can't be just a few 'engaged'
    Bleu Oleander: exactly
Eliza Madrigal: or else those few can just chat on FB :P
    Bleu Oleander: haha yes :P
    Agatha Macbeth: >.<
Eliza Madrigal: I feel excited by conversations likes these... they can sound like complaining but they come from a place of deep appreciation and affection
    Xirana Oximoxi: :)
Agatha Macbeth: I keep looking on FB for updates of your move Liz :p
Eliza Madrigal smiles... took some pictures yesterday... the place is like a cat cafe'
Agatha Macbeth: Not complaining I don't think
    Eliza Madrigal: will post :)
    Agatha Macbeth: Just airing feelings
Bleu Oleander: yes, not complaining for me ... more like asking questions
    Eliza Madrigal: yes, definitely
Eliza Madrigal: when you CARE you ask questions
    Bleu Oleander: yes
Agatha Macbeth: A mini guardian meeting in a way
    Eliza Madrigal nods
    Bleu Oleander: haha
    Xirana Oximoxi: :)
Eliza Madrigal: spontaneous erruption stirred by gentle music
Agatha Macbeth: Shall we go to the hall? <grins>
    Eliza Madrigal: hahah
    Bleu Oleander: lol
    Agatha Macbeth: Wake up sunday
Eliza Madrigal looks for official "guardian session" stamp
    Bleu Oleander: haha
Eliza Madrigal: maybe we're conditioned to go into brainstorming mode on Sundays now
    Agatha Macbeth: Could be
    Bleu Oleander: oh no
    Eliza Madrigal: ;)
Bleu Oleander: didn't mean to do that
    Agatha Macbeth: 'keep sunday special'
Bleu Oleander: perhaps music created a reflective state
    Eliza Madrigal: yes
    Agatha Macbeth: Doesn't it always?
    Eliza Madrigal: circulation
    Bleu Oleander: :)
Eliza Madrigal: softening the soil and bringing forth what was developing
    Agatha Macbeth ponders soft soil
Eliza Madrigal: thanks for speaking so plainly Bleu, about your feelings
Bleu Oleander: well its something I've felt for a while
    Agatha Macbeth nods
Eliza Madrigal nods.... felt your shift
Eliza Madrigal: a Bleuless SL would be tragic
Bleu Oleander: perhaps just felt the wall and now need to knock it down
    Agatha Macbeth: The home run
    Xirana Oximoxi: absolutly 'tragic' :)
    Bleu Oleander ponders Bleuless :)
Eliza Madrigal: a soft wall might just dissolve naturally
Agatha Macbeth: Think a few have felt that way recently tho
Bleu Oleander: I do feel some distance between myself and Bleu .... interesting I think
    Eliza Madrigal: yes...please say more?
    Agatha Macbeth: Who?
    Agatha Macbeth: Ah
Bleu Oleander: I've tried to stay out of sl except for once a week
    Agatha Macbeth nods
Bleu Oleander: and it has had the effect of removing some immersive qualities for me
    Agatha Macbeth: Understood
Eliza Madrigal: that's true in my experience too
Bleu Oleander: I don't even think of "Bleu" between sl times now
Eliza Madrigal: ah...though that isn't, hmmm
Agatha Macbeth: PaB is a microcosm of the greater SL macrocosm
Bleu Oleander: so really interesting to me ... another experiment with identity in a way
Agatha Macbeth: To be honest i think SL endures in spite of the Lindens rather than because of them
Eliza Madrigal: I've always felt SL as a different world with its own atmosphere, and known that not being in on a regular basis dulls the 'taste'... that has allowed it to feel safe for me, that SL is always a "choice"
Xirana Oximoxi: I agree Aga...but if Bleu and others do feel like leaving Pab will lose part of it....PaB are us :)
Bleu Oleander: "choice" is an interesting word
    Agatha Macbeth: Absolutely
Eliza Madrigal: well, not just a conditioned habit based on something that was good 'once upon a time' but no longer is
Agatha Macbeth: PaB are us...love that
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Bleu Oleander: read an interesting post about choice in belief
Agatha Macbeth: Maybe we should start a company
    Eliza Madrigal: @@
Eliza Madrigal: wondering if I read the same thing, Bleu... say more?
Agatha Macbeth: Hm, do we choose to believe or just 'do' it?
Xirana Oximoxi: I always value if SL has a positiv effect in my life...and it has , so it's part of it :)
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
    Agatha Macbeth: Yay
    --BELL--
Eliza Madrigal: With the recent move, and a lot of RL friendships taking on steam, I found that clearly, my SL friendships have been the most support.
    Bleu Oleander: http://richardnilsen.com/
Agatha Macbeth ponders Liz and her steamy relationships
    Eliza Madrigal laughs
Bleu Oleander: liked this: Yet, if you cannot choose to believe, you can nevertheless choose to be open to possibilities, to allow yourself to learn about things you had previously been closed to. You can choose to look and listen.
Eliza Madrigal: haven't read this, thank you... YES
    Agatha Macbeth: True that
Eliza Madrigal: choosing to give into enchantment
Eliza Madrigal: as when one sees a film
Agatha Macbeth: Oh I'll give int o it ;)
Agatha Macbeth: Nothing like being enchanted
Eliza Madrigal: PaB discussions and explorations have revealed a lot of fixed boundaries to be optional...
Eliza Madrigal: as has SL in general.
Bleu Oleander: we place the "fixedness" there I think
    Eliza Madrigal nods
    Agatha Macbeth: Beware the fixed
    Bleu Oleander: lol
Eliza Madrigal: but it is the seeing ourselves doing it that I feel these constant discussions and explorations have introduced
Eliza Madrigal: the continuity of integration
    Bleu Oleander: yes
    Agatha Macbeth: Long live continuity
    Bleu Oleander: and integration!
    Agatha Macbeth: Indeed
Eliza Madrigal: for me, one thing that hasn't come clear is "PaB in RL" as far as group/community
Eliza Madrigal: certainly it is clear for individuals
    Agatha Macbeth: PaB in RL?
Bleu Oleander: what would PaB in rl look like?
Xirana Oximoxi: what do you mean....which effect has it in our rl?
Eliza Madrigal: mhm... retreats were one way of tapping on that question...but re integration it isn't just about we, but about all of those in ours lives
    Bleu Oleander: PaB face-to-face :)
    Eliza Madrigal: yes
Agatha Macbeth: Aren't we face to face here? ;)
    Eliza Madrigal smiles
    Xirana Oximoxi: we are :)
    Bleu Oleander: profound question!
    Eliza Madrigal: yes
    Agatha Macbeth: heh
Bleu Oleander: not sure the answer is obvious
    Eliza Madrigal: whose face
Agatha Macbeth: For me the obvious answer usually seems the wrong one ha
Bleu Oleander: and it's precisely what I'm questioning
Eliza Madrigal: this is a question for our time, not just here, perhaps
Xirana Oximoxi: which is the 0'obvious' answer? :)
    Bleu Oleander: indeed
Agatha Macbeth: Lateral thinking required maybe?
Bleu Oleander: there are no obvious answers I think
Xirana Oximoxi: I agree, Bleu :)
Bleu Oleander: its an ongoing experiment with looking at who we are
    Agatha Macbeth nods
Bleu Oleander: many lights being shined from all directions looking for answers
Eliza Madrigal: I had an experience several months ago, of seeing someone I'd not seen in a long time. The whole night he kept saying "where's Steph?" He was looking for younger me. I heard myself trying to talk to him, and what I was trying to share, I realized, was "Eliza"...but he couldn't make the leap and I felt impudent to accomplish it.
    Agatha Macbeth: 0.0
    Bleu Oleander: yes!
    Agatha Macbeth: OMG
Bleu Oleander: have had that experience
    Eliza Madrigal: *impotent
Eliza Madrigal: it was such a surreal moment of seeing the integration gap
Agatha Macbeth: Eliza has taken over <grin>
    Eliza Madrigal smiles
Bleu Oleander: experience over time create a kind of distance between you and your former self
    Eliza Madrigal: very much so
Eliza Madrigal: and yet I really enjoy seeing old friends
Bleu Oleander: kinda like "species" in a way
Agatha Macbeth: Kinda like Frankenstein in reverse
Eliza Madrigal: and bringing new times into it
    Eliza Madrigal: YES
    Xirana Oximoxi: :)
Bleu Oleander: 180 million generations ago we were fish
    Agatha Macbeth: Blub still is
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Agatha Macbeth: Guess he got stuck in a groove
Bleu Oleander: but never at any one time did a child look substantially different from its parents
    Eliza Madrigal: amazing
    Agatha Macbeth: Right
Bleu Oleander: so it time that creates the distance
Eliza Madrigal: this is the same question, in a way, that Zen is mentioning in the genjokoan about the ashes and the tree
Bleu Oleander: and its what I feel now with sl in a way
Agatha Macbeth: Like pema said in the last 35 years the world doesn't seem to have changed much
Eliza Madrigal: perhaps we are on a spectrum Bleu, because I relate a lot - but, I can say I related more just a few weeks ago
Eliza Madrigal: that somehow my bringing forth this change I needed in RL, has brought me back into SL a bit
Agatha Macbeth: The whole spectrum Liz, or just the visible one? :p
Eliza Madrigal: perhaps there is something brewing, for you to do
    Agatha Macbeth: Brucie! <3
Bruce Mowbray: 's current display-name is "Bruce".
    Eliza Madrigal: :) Aggers ((( )))
    Bleu Oleander: perhaps :)
    Xirana Oximoxi: hello Bruce :)
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Bruce!
    Bleu Oleander: hiya Bruce
Agatha Macbeth: Talk of the Blub and he appears
    Bleu Oleander: :)
Eliza Madrigal: quite a conversation today Bruce
    Bleu Oleander: indeed
Bruce Mowbray: Ahhh! I FOUND IUT!
Bleu Oleander: started with a little light music
Xirana Oximoxi: hi and bye Bruce....I must go..I wish you all a grwat Sunday!
    Xirana Oximoxi: great
Eliza Madrigal: the dangers of gentle music ^^
Bruce Mowbray: I've been doing Area Searches for my lost recorder. and here it is!!!
Bleu Oleander: I should go too
Agatha Macbeth: Think it's these ultraviolent coloured tops which stimulate us...
Eliza Madrigal: bye Xiri, lovely to see you
    Agatha Macbeth grins
Bleu Oleander: been really nice to share with everyone today
    --BELL--
Eliza Madrigal: no you shouldn't... thats the point of this whole talk :P
Bleu Oleander: thank you all for coming
    Agatha Macbeth: Adios guapina <3
Xirana Oximoxi: bye all :-) yes---wonderful sharing feelings and thoughts :)
    Eliza Madrigal: ((((Bleu)))) Thank you
    Agatha Macbeth: Bye Bleu</grin></grins>

    <grins><grin>Xirana Oximoxi: adiós guapina :-))
Bleu Oleander: (((Eliza and all )))
    Bleu Oleander: take care</grin></grins>

    <grins><grin>
    Agatha Macbeth: You too
    Agatha Macbeth: And care ;)
Agatha Macbeth: Looks like brucie did a Korel ;P
    Agatha Macbeth: Aww
Agatha Macbeth: How are you today?
    Eliza Madrigal pats cushion closer
Bruce Mowbray: What is a"a Korel"?
Agatha Macbeth: Whenever she arrives everybody else disappears :p
Eliza Madrigal: I just gave you a notecard, but it is long.
Agatha Macbeth: Only because she always appears at the end
    Eliza Madrigal: mhm
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Bruce Mowbray: Oh, that's too bad -- It would no doubt make my typist paranoid.
    Eliza Madrigal: we're a timely group :P
Bruce Mowbray: (to say nothing of Blub!)
Agatha Macbeth: Been chopping down trees?
    Bruce Mowbray: me? Nope,
Bruce Mowbray: been looking for this recorder.
    Agatha Macbeth smiles
    Agatha Macbeth: Recorder?
Agatha Macbeth: The one in the fountain?
Bruce Mowbray: There's one in the fountain, too?!
    Agatha Macbeth: A recorder yes
Bruce Mowbray: Maybe that's the animations, which I've somehow also lost.
    Agatha Macbeth: Aww
    Eliza Madrigal: try the backpack
    Agatha Macbeth: Which?
Eliza Madrigal: oops not a backpack :)
    Agatha Macbeth: Hmm
Bruce Mowbray: (will do another Area Search....)
Agatha Macbeth: Oh you lost something round here/
    Agatha Macbeth: ?
Eliza Madrigal: pardon me one moment
Agatha Macbeth: Tell stormy he can send it back to you
Bruce Mowbray: It's not showing up on my search....
Agatha Macbeth: Area search is finickity, you need to type the *exact* name
Eliza Madrigal: wish you luck finding what is lost, Bruce
Bruce Mowbray: kk, will try again, although it worked fine for the recorder itself.
Eliza Madrigal: it is time for me to make croissants ^.^
Bruce Mowbray: The animations for the recorder are lost...
Agatha Macbeth: Are you sure you lost it here?
Bruce Mowbray: Maybe I left them back at the house.
    Agatha Macbeth: Oh dear
Bruce Mowbray: I really must be getting ready for Meeting.
Eliza Madrigal: ((((Aggers)))))) hugs and thanks for today's talk
Agatha Macbeth: Enjoy your pumpkins Liz
