    Bleu Oleander: hey Riddle :)
Riddle Sideways: Helloo Bleu and Adams
    Bleu Oleander: hi Adams :)
    Riddle Sideways: welcome back Bleu

Adams Rubble: Good morning west coasters!
    Riddle Sideways: :)
    Bleu Oleander: ty!
    Riddle Sideways: left coast
    Bleu Oleander: :)
Riddle Sideways: depending on how you look at it
Adams Rubble: looking from Canada, we are on the left coast
    Riddle Sideways: true
    Bleu Oleander: :)
Bleu Oleander: point of view is everything!
    Riddle Sideways: yep,
Bleu Oleander: has it stopped raining back there Adams?
Riddle Sideways: how about a hawiian pont of view
Adams Rubble: sun came out yesterday but more rain predicted for today

Riddle Sideways: Bleu, can you give a trip report :)
    Bleu Oleander: tall order!
Riddle Sideways: or an overview of the fun parts
Bleu Oleander: still trying to think it all through
Riddle Sideways: or an amuzing story
    Bleu Oleander: but was amazing
Bleu Oleander: loved our day at Yale
Bleu Oleander: met some really great people
    Bleu Oleander: lots of ideas
Bleu Oleander: went to a very cool place in nyc
Bleu Oleander: talked about creativity and imagination
Bleu Oleander: ended talking about failure :)
Bleu Oleander: so a full range!
    Riddle Sideways: wow
Bleu Oleander: and previewed the contemporary auctions at Christies
    Riddle Sideways: buy any?
Bleu Oleander: Koons basketball just sold for 15 mil

Riddle Sideways: really like the typing sparkles
Bleu Oleander: me too ... fun
    Bleu Oleander: like neurons firing
    Riddle Sideways: :)
Riddle Sideways: hey neurons, you're fired
    Adams Rubble: :)
Bleu Oleander: where have I heard that one ?!?!?
Bleu Oleander: so one of our best trips I think
    Riddle Sideways: hmmm, ref unknown
Bleu Oleander: the "you're fired" part lol

Adams Rubble: was the Center for British Art yet open when you were in New Haven?
    Adams Rubble: open yet
Bleu Oleander: we didn't have time to investigate that
Bleu Oleander: had 3 meetings and barely time for lunch
    Adams Rubble: ohhh
    Bleu Oleander: plus train
Bleu Oleander: 2 hours from nyc
Adams Rubble: love the New haven train station
Adams Rubble: but not the Metro
Bleu Oleander: didn't get back until 11ish
Bleu Oleander: we had a whole car to ourselves
Bleu Oleander: and the conversation made the trip fly by
    Adams Rubble: :)
    Riddle Sideways: a salon car?
    Bleu Oleander: yep
Bleu Oleander: people would come in and realize we were all related and walk out when they heard us talking about the salons lol
                   --BELL--
    Riddle Sideways: chased them away
Bleu Oleander: fear of science talk
Bleu Oleander: can't wait for our next trip!
    Bleu Oleander: oops getting shhhhhhed
    Riddle Sideways: :) shhhhhh happens
Bleu Oleander: what's been happening here?
    Riddle Sideways: wish Mindfulness happened
Riddle Sideways: an aside: turned on thing named TV and saw bits of "Big Bang Theory" discussing Salon topics
Riddle Sideways: fighting over what should be the next Salon topic
    Bleu Oleander: nice
Bleu Oleander: maybe its catching on
Riddle Sideways: can't find it in youTube right now
Riddle Sideways: seems salon is used too many times related to that show
Bleu Oleander: have never seen it
Bleu Oleander: don't have much time for TV these days
    Riddle Sideways: bet you don't

Bleu Oleander: reading nice new book on physics
Bleu Oleander: "Seven brief lessons on physics" by carlo rovelli
    Bleu Oleander: easy to follow
    Bleu Oleander: nice and clear
Riddle Sideways: lots of reviews found
Bleu Oleander: a quote: "the difference between past and future exists only when there is heat. the fundamental phenomenon that distinguishes the future from the past is the fact that heat passes from things that are hotter to things that are colder."
Bleu Oleander: he'a a loop quantum gravity guy
    Bleu Oleander: thermodynamics
Riddle Sideways: quickly trying to adjust context, shifting and wishing for more coffee
Riddle Sideways: coffee has gone cold
Riddle Sideways: it is in the past
Bleu Oleander: "Probability does not refer to the evolution of matter in itself. It relates to the evolution of those specific quantities we interact with."
Bleu Oleander: could be that its stable now so no past or future :)
    Bleu Oleander: only now
Riddle Sideways: wondering about the absolute cold in the void of space
Riddle Sideways: but, that might have been proved wrong
Bleu Oleander: "the gravitational field is space itself, in effect space-time. therefore, when heat is diffused to the gravitational field, time and space themselves must vibrate"
Bleu Oleander: "What is a vibrating time?"
    Riddle Sideways: frequency?
Bleu Oleander: interesting ways to think about things
    Riddle Sideways: yes
Bleu Oleander: not finished the book yet
Bleu Oleander: but having lots of aha moments
Riddle Sideways: harder if time is thought of a constant
Riddle Sideways: if not a constant then it can vibrate
                   --BELL--
Riddle Sideways: just thought about multiple times
Bleu Oleander: time is subjective ... the present is subjective
    Riddle Sideways: and the overlapping
    Bleu Oleander: yes
    Riddle Sideways: maybe moire patterns
Riddle Sideways: always had the thought we were living in several moire patterns
Bleu Oleander: I love moire patterns
    Bleu Oleander: yes
Riddle Sideways: String theory Branes are like built up moire patterns. maybe more solid where multiple cross. hmmmm
Riddle Sideways: what are 3d moire patterns
    Bleu Oleander: dizzying
Riddle Sideways: and n-dimension moire interference patterns
Riddle Sideways: that project to an eye that decides to only see the 2d-ness
Bleu Oleander: lots of patterns and we are pattern detectors
Riddle Sideways: detecting the patterns and then giving judgements, interpetations, truths
Riddle Sideways: from a limited pont
    Bleu Oleander: our best guesses
    Bleu Oleander: yep
    Riddle Sideways: same thing
Riddle Sideways: some of those phenomenons
Bleu Oleander: "what's non-apparent is much vaster than what's apparent"
Riddle Sideways: 99% dark mater that is non-apparent
Bleu Oleander: we must remain humble
Bleu Oleander: on that note, I must get going
    Bleu Oleander: busy day today
Bleu Oleander: nice to see you both
Riddle Sideways: from a book of youth: "reporting on what he saw, he described a childs toy, having never seen a Van Der Graaf generator"
    Bleu Oleander: :)
Riddle Sideways: thanks for the viist and trip report
Riddle Sideways: have another best day
    Bleu Oleander: enjoy your day
Bleu Oleander: I'm giving it my best shot :)
    Bleu Oleander: bye bye
    Riddle Sideways: by
    Adams Rubble: bye bleu :)

Riddle Sideways: chat box is full of friends coming and going on/offline
    Riddle Sideways: please get comfortable
    Riddle Sideways: :)
    Adams Rubble: :)
Riddle Sideways: RL body can't get comfortable
    Adams Rubble: awwww
Riddle Sideways: pulled a back muscle
    Riddle Sideways: sitting is bad
                   --BELL--
    Adams Rubble: :(
Adams Rubble: does a heat pad help you?
Riddle Sideways: yes, been 2 nights on one
    Riddle Sideways: thanks
Riddle Sideways: the cats know it is there too
    Adams Rubble: :)
Riddle Sideways: have lots of friends all night
Adams Rubble: cat on a hot tan pad
Riddle Sideways: funny how all these sci discussions bring up works of art in the mind
Riddle Sideways: the story of an angry man waking up at 2am off the heating pad and the pushie cat is on it
    Adams Rubble: :)
    Riddle Sideways: remembering Burl Ives
    Adams Rubble: :)
    Adams Rubble: and burly cat
Riddle Sideways: Liz Taylor gets the star, but Big Daddy Burl was always great
Riddle Sideways: that must be a stage name
Riddle Sideways: what mother names a kid Burl
    Adams Rubble: Mrs Ivanhoe :)
    Riddle Sideways: o
Adams Rubble: he was born Burl Icle Ivanhoe
    Adams Rubble: in Illionois
Riddle Sideways: gotta love search engines
    Adams Rubble: hehe
    Riddle Sideways: Icle?
    Adams Rubble: yep
Adams Rubble: why do people always blame the mother for the names?
Riddle Sideways: usually middle name is given from some grandparent's name
    Riddle Sideways: ummm, experience?
Riddle Sideways: a father can give lots of suggestions
Riddle Sideways: opps, forgot about the "Father Knows Best" generation/time
    Adams Rubble: :)\
Adams Rubble: didn't our president's father name him?
Riddle Sideways: not sure, but not going to look it up
    Adams Rubble: ok
    Riddle Sideways: :)
Adams Rubble: well it is almost time. I hope you find some relief for your back
Riddle Sideways: afraid if looking it up
Adams Rubble: don't trip over any cats
Riddle Sideways: there will be adverts
Riddle Sideways: selling a candidate I might want
    Adams Rubble: :)
    Riddle Sideways: thanks
Riddle Sideways: and off to the rest of the day we go ...
Adams Rubble: yesterday I was felling a plague on all their houses but I was grumpy
Riddle Sideways: now back to your regularly scheduled day
    Adams Rubble: :)
Adams Rubble: I hope you are able to have a nice one
                   --BELL--
    Riddle Sideways: thanks, and c u l8r
