    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Ewan
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Tura :)
    Tura Brezoianu: hi Eliza, Ewan
    --BELL--
Eliza Madrigal: Nice to be here today.... has been a few weeks since I've been in SL
Eliza Madrigal: virtual water feels different
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Riddle :)
    Riddle Sideways: hiAll
    Riddle Sideways: *space
    Eliza Madrigal: *time
Riddle Sideways: nice to see Eliza comments again
    Eliza Madrigal giggles
    Eliza Madrigal: ntsy2
Riddle Sideways: actually, saw your posted comments
Eliza Madrigal: should I claim the session just so the notice doesn't badger?
Riddle Sideways: I could claim it if you don't want prompt postings
    Ewan Bonham: Yes, please..
    Eliza Madrigal grins
    Ewan Bonham: Hello Riddle

Ewan Bonham: Well, let's get started..
Eliza Madrigal relaxes and goes with the flow
Riddle Sideways: watching the river Flow

Ewan Bonham: Let's take a deep breat... and let it out slowly..
Ewan Bonham: Bringing ourselves completely here and in the present moment.
Ewan Bonham: We can train our gaze to a spot that is very familiar here and see the little details of it...:)
Ewan Bonham: As we look at this object, notice the pace and depth of your breath..
Ewan Bonham: Choose to let your breath speak to you..
Ewan Bonham: When you are ready, please share this simple grounding experience for you...:)
Riddle Sideways: grounding breath was a long trip to get from the RL chaos to here-now
    Ewan Bonham: hi Tura...:)
    Tura Brezoianu: here I am
Ewan Bonham: Anyone wish to share where they are at as we have centered into this moment?
Riddle Sideways: first object the lotus is too busy for a detail calming, so picked the float ball. then grounding worked better
    Ewan Bonham: Nice...
Ewan Bonham: There is a whole world to explore in this simple moments... including choices you make..
Eliza Madrigal: it may take me a little while to settle... first tried to rest with lotus too, but SL is feeling a little big and busy to me after a few weeks away...
    Eliza Madrigal: breath nice
    Ewan Bonham: Ah...
Ewan Bonham: I am glad you are here...
    Eliza Madrigal: ty me too

Ewan Bonham: We have begun to look at ways in which we can practice mindfulness..
    --BELL--
Ewan Bonham: These breaks are a case in point..
Ewan Bonham: This week I will share an exercise I do quite a bit..
Ewan Bonham: And, if you like, you can do it as I do it... you can do it now in RL..

Ewan Bonham: It takes the use of a candle...
Ewan Bonham: It doesn't matter what type... because we will concentrate on lighting it and immersing in the flame..
Ewan Bonham: Do you each have a candle handy? One that you can attain easily?
    Tura Brezoianu: I do
    Eliza Madrigal: yes
Ewan Bonham: If you do not... you can imagine yourself as if you were actually doing it...
    Riddle Sideways: got one

Ewan Bonham: OK... then we are ready...
Ewan Bonham: With each step, you will want to watch your breath... at the same time as you are concentrating on the event..
Ewan Bonham: So, there is an inner awareness of your breath, and outer awareness of the flame..
Ewan Bonham: Take the means you will use to light the candle wick
Ewan Bonham: if it is a match, lighter, or other...
Ewan Bonham: place it in your hand... and consciously recall the steps you will take to be able to use it...
Ewan Bonham: SEE yourself in your mind's eye actually doing it..
Ewan Bonham: notice where you feel your energy within..
Ewan Bonham: As you contemplate the lighting..
Ewan Bonham: Feel your power in executing the lighting..
Ewan Bonham: Make a note of any soft messages that occur to you spontaneously...
Ewan Bonham: Breath... and move on to actually using the instrument to light the candle...
Ewan Bonham: Do this in a pace which is slow and deliberate... so the object speaks to you..
Ewan Bonham: Keep the initial flame of the instrument centered on the wick until you are sure it is lit.
Ewan Bonham: There is a moment when the two flames merge together...
Ewan Bonham: listen to the slightes of sounds and crackles...
Ewan Bonham: Notice any sparks and change in the texture and colors of the candle..
Ewan Bonham: stay with this for a few more moments... linger... before we continue..
    --BELL--
Ewan Bonham: signal with a '1' when you are ready to move on...
    Riddle Sideways: 1
    Tura Brezoianu: 1
    Eliza Madrigal: 1
    Qt Core: Hi all
Eliza Madrigal smiles hello at qt

Ewan Bonham: OK... now, place the lighting instrument down gently...
    Riddle Sideways: hi QT
Ewan Bonham: And put your focus on the burning flame of the candle..
    Ewan Bonham: Hello QT...
Ewan Bonham: Continue to monitor your breathing as you concentrate your gaze solely on the flame..
Eliza Madrigal: (must sneak away, bye is understood xoxox)
Ewan Bonham: There are many layers to this experience..
Ewan Bonham: First, notice the pulsing of the flame..

    Riddle Sideways: Ewan poofed
    Tura Brezoianu: yep
    Riddle Sideways: in mid story
Tura Brezoianu: like a candle flame :)
Riddle Sideways: QT, did Ewan give you notes
    Qt Core: no
Qt Core: were you having a meditation session ?
Tura Brezoianu: yes,Ewan's running a weekly series
Riddle Sideways: the match had to be blown out before he typed for it to be done :)
    Riddle Sideways: Tura, any reflections?

    Riddle Sideways: wb
    Tura Brezoianu: wb
Ewan Bonham: Thank you... my internet is unstable today..
Ewan Bonham: In case it cuts out again... I will go over other considerations of the flame simply now..
Ewan Bonham: Then give you some time to merge with the flame..
Ewan Bonham: And then share what that felt like for you..
    --BELL--
Ewan Bonham: Smile... other concsiderations draw you inward into the flame..
Ewan Bonham: these include you concentrating on the color and depth of the flame from the top... and down in layers to its very core.
Ewan Bonham: Notice the change in color and movement..
Ewan Bonham: All this time... be aware of your breathing..
Ewan Bonham: I will be quiet now to give you some time to be with the flame...
Ewan Bonham: OK... take a moment and reflect on what this experience was like for you..
Ewan Bonham: And please share... especially if it is something you may find helpful..
    Riddle Sideways: poof again

Riddle Sideways: 1. mind's eye virtual match strikeing was the same as actual
Riddle Sideways: 2. calm, slow, soft with not light a match. there needs to be a rude swift move
Riddle Sideways: 3. matches explode into flame which is another rude unquieting thing
Riddle Sideways: 4. then things settle down
Riddle Sideways: 5. one flame setting something else alight is way cool
Riddle Sideways: 6. 2 flames merged and then separate is neat
Riddle Sideways: 7. deep breathing and deep exhales can put out a match or a candle
Riddle Sideways: 8. staring at a flame is sooo mindfulness it is all you can think of
Riddle Sideways: all concentration goes into a timeless 'the flame'
    Riddle Sideways: done
Riddle Sideways: (was easier to write in a notepad then paster)

    Riddle Sideways: hey Kor
    Korel Laloix: Osiyo
Korel Laloix: At work so in and out.
    Qt Core: Hi Korel
Riddle Sideways: Ewan was telling us to report our experiences lighting a candle
    Riddle Sideways: and he poofed
Riddle Sideways: the way internet connections do
Riddle Sideways: Tura? QT? come back from the flames
Korel Laloix: I have had some recent experiences lighting fireworks.. smiles.. but not candles.
    --BELL--
Riddle Sideways: any reflections to add?
Qt Core: what was the reason, Korel, 4 July isn't here yet...
Korel Laloix: Already selling though.. and why wait?
Tura Brezoianu: I don't really have anything to say
Korel Laloix: We actually have an all year fireworks store here.
Qt Core: i was too distracted by rl, coming and going from my desk
Riddle Sideways: in rl we burn a candle on the anniversery of their death
Riddle Sideways: so, was watching a 24hour candle this week
Qt Core: there were fireworks around here too, there is a tradition of firework show for St. John day (24 June)
Korel Laloix: OH Ok.. sounds fun.
Qt Core: i haven't light a candle in years if not decades, i tried to do it mentally and the only reaction was my mind asking why i was lightinng one
Riddle Sideways: huh, different lives. our family lights candles at least once a week
Qt Core: and wondering at the bleck (velvety ?) background
    Riddle Sideways: here? bleck?
Korel Laloix: Back to work.. take care all.
    Qt Core: ops, black
Qt Core: the imagined background of the place i put the candle
    Riddle Sideways: ah
Riddle Sideways: need to go also
    Qt Core: bye Riddle
Riddle Sideways: blow out the candles when you leave
    Tura Brezoianu: bye Qt
Qt Core: ;-) we don't want to start a fire
    Qt Core: bye Tura
