    stevenaia Michinaga: hi Storm
    Storm Nordwind: Good evening!
Storm Nordwind: I was waylaid, but glad to catch the end of the session. :)
stevenaia Michinaga: :) how was your week? 5-day Countdown to the of 99 days
    stevenaia Michinaga: *end
stevenaia Michinaga: or the beginning of not needing a countdown
Storm Nordwind: Very busy. Lots of varied things. Far too hot here, but plenty to do to take my mind off it. :)
stevenaia Michinaga: yes, your heat is coming our way next week, thanks, putting A/C in tomorrow
Storm Nordwind: Right. But it's summer as normal. And had a touch of rain today, but not enough to make a difference.
stevenaia Michinaga: assume you are not near the fires out there
Storm Nordwind: We got smoke on one day but otherwise ok.
Storm Nordwind: Too dry in the mountains to stop it in this heat
stevenaia Michinaga: :), probably not as bad as Pila in Hawaii
Storm Nordwind: No. I'm grateful for that.
Storm Nordwind: And I started study courses for creative writing. I'll see how I get on. That will be my end of the 99 days. Could easily take it a lot further.
stevenaia Michinaga: yes, the world is not happy with something
stevenaia Michinaga: is this an online course?
Storm Nordwind: I have two! I got a book that accompanied a course Zen did 5 or 6 years ago (I think). I'll have to do that alone. But found an online MOOC based in Manchester, UK
Storm Nordwind: That starts right away, and the book can wait
stevenaia Michinaga: nice, do you have a creative writing project in mine or just a new path
Storm Nordwind: Over the years I have written. Of course I wrote and read a poem at the 10th anniversary celebrations. But I've been writing again anyway since last year. And someone else invited me to provide them with a link to stuff, so I got writing again!
Storm Nordwind: I looked at my old stuff from 7, 8, 9 years ago, and much of it is awful by judgment now. I need to get better.
    stevenaia Michinaga: smiles

    --BELL--

Storm Nordwind: What about you with your drawing?
stevenaia Michinaga: finally getting used to myself so over time I can see what I did that I like and what I need to change... like don't expect to be done before lunch is served
    Storm Nordwind: Haha!
Storm Nordwind: You do seem to eat in a lot of nice places, if the sketches are anything to go by!
stevenaia Michinaga: these are very small sketches , maybe 1 1/4 x 2" so the format to to fit four on a sheet of my sketch book was an interesting challenge
    Storm Nordwind nods
stevenaia Michinaga: yes, I keep having to choose new places and directions
Storm Nordwind: Would you find it helpful to carry on formally beyond 99 days?
stevenaia Michinaga: another thought is to keep drawing the same thing over an over again (and expecting different results)
Storm Nordwind: hehe! Madness ensures :)
    stevenaia Michinaga: hehe
stevenaia Michinaga: I suspect I will continue in either case now that I am getting use to the exercise
    Storm Nordwind nods
Storm Nordwind: I am writing more or less every day now, sometimes more than once, and the frequency is helping, plus the typing up and editing, and sitting on it for a month and reviewing etc
stevenaia Michinaga: having the photo to see what my hand and eye distorts is interesting
Storm Nordwind: Yes, I can see that's really useful
stevenaia Michinaga: also keeping my the pen/ink the same allows you to focus on other things, like B&W photography
Storm Nordwind: But... you can say that any distortion is deliberate, part of the East Coast Movement, whose objectives are... well sign here and we'll teach you all about it.
    stevenaia Michinaga: shhh, my secret
Storm Nordwind: You need an agent? ;)
stevenaia Michinaga: at the moment I prefer to collect
stevenaia Michinaga: they will be more valuable when I depart
Storm Nordwind: Today's sketch reminded me of a locomotive. Nice ambiguity. :)
stevenaia Michinaga: close, an espresso machine
stevenaia Michinaga: I see that now, I actually ran out of ink with my fine point nib and had to finish with my other fountain pen
Storm Nordwind recalls that some things he's tried that came out of an espresso machine might have well as come from a locomotive.
    Storm Nordwind: Aha.

    --BELL--

Storm Nordwind: Well I won't keep you. Thank you for staying on a little while longer than usual. :)
stevenaia Michinaga: Well I guess we can just create a day 100 page and just add to it on a continuing basis, a place for the fruits of the 99 days
stevenaia Michinaga: keep it simple :0
    stevenaia Michinaga: night Storm
Storm Nordwind: Sounds good to me. I'm sure our wonderful wiki guru (Eliza) will figure something out!
    stevenaia Michinaga: hehe
    Storm Nordwind: Goodnight!
    stevenaia Michinaga: night
