• PaB is almost backward method of teaching the very same thing…in dojo we throw each other around and gently learn harmony/reality
  

• So do you mean we will learn to throw each other around in PAB :)

• here we chat/discuss things/ideas that matter and gently take them into RL conflicts

• To me diplomacy would be a separate issue, as would be manners. Can't you be open and honest and still be very sensitive and polite?

• honesty....total openness to the other....i find that not very...realistic

• I think there are times in relationships that suggest that tact is a good option, and brutal honesty can wait for a more appropriate time
• there may be times when you may not wish to hurt the other person with the truth ... like being protective
  

• When one is open and honest… insecurities can be encouraged to dissolve

• On the California retreat we had a silent day too, and some people liked that. Are you planning one of those?

• so, play as being… I have a story to share 

• listens

• it was in a biological physics lecture… the prof made the point that the sun doesn't add energy to the earth system, per se… but that it does drive a process of food creation and consumption that generates biological order… so it effectively makes patterns and thereby washes away entropy… stunning concept!

• anyway, this idea of energy causing entropy exchange gives a much different flavor to the sense of being embodied… I feel not so much like a... give me a moment... it is somehow more wondrous feeling, to be such a patter, such a flow of energy, rather than a consumer

• essentially… creates order

• well, it is a completely different concept to me… much more liquid…much softer… much more space…cooler... but what I am describing is more a shift in the apparent quality of the content of the sense of presence… the stage of presence being the same, perhaps, or slightly changed in quality, but the main (obvious) change in the play
  

• but I am afraid I must go put some more food in the entropy engine :)

• it's always inspiring to take some time out, with a group, dropping it all, sharing the energy

• I love the silence

• I must admit I enjoy the chanting too

2010.01.21 07:00 - Ecstasy in the flow

• I found myself somehow more in tune with the 9-sec practice than usual, this morning… while walking through Manhattan, in the middle of the night… it's so interesting how many dimensions there are to "dropping"… and how different it can feel in different situations

• just looking at what is there, not creating anything yourself.

• yes, and not sticking to anything… rather dream like, in between time zones and continents

• it can feel as if something walks, the walking walks, not me

• so what I do sometimes is I relax close my eyes and try to go to this happy place…

• …Your happy place is not your field or your house. It is inside you. You can stay happy there, inside, no matter what happens in the outside world. The world of the happy place is still an outside world, like the inner layers of an onion.

• In the standard view, silence is not considered an option :) … But Flow is big these days
