    Catrinamonblue Resident: Hi Bruce :)
Bruce Mowbray: Hi, Cat. Hi, Zon.
    Bruce Mowbray: No Eliza today?
    Catrinamonblue Resident: don`t know
Bruce Mowbray: still early, I guess.
Catrinamonblue Resident: no emails saying she wouldn`t make it so maybe just late :)
    Bruce Mowbray: yeppers.

    --BELL--

    Zon Kwan: hi bruce
    Bruce Mowbray: Hi, Zon!
Zon Kwan: how is today ?
Bruce Mowbray: A bit crazy, like all days.
Catrinamonblue Resident: eliza emailed the group to say she would be 5 min late :)
    Bruce Mowbray: cool, thanks Cat.
Bruce Mowbray: I could entertain you with a recorder solo...
    Bruce Mowbray: while we're waiting....
Zon Kwan: what kind of grazyness today ?
Bruce Mowbray: Oh, just the usual stuff.
    Zon Kwan: lol
    Catrinamonblue Resident: sure :)
    Catrinamonblue Resident: oh lovely
    Zon Kwan: claps hands
    Catrinamonblue Resident: thank you Bruce
    Bruce Mowbray: yw.
Bruce Mowbray: Another, while we're waiting for Eliza?
Catrinamonblue Resident: yes please do :)
    Bruce Mowbray: Here comes Eliza!

    Bruce Mowbray: Hello, Eliza!
    Catrinamonblue Resident: Hi Eliza :)
Eliza Madrigal smiles....thanks so much Cat. Hi Everyone :))
    Agatha Macbeth: Evenin all
    Bruce Mowbray: Hello, Aggers!
    Catrinamonblue Resident: Hi Aggers :)
Eliza Madrigal: Are you only able to play the recorder while standing, Bruce?
    Agatha Macbeth: Hello Cat ^.^
    Zon Kwan: hi eliza :)
Bruce Mowbray: Yes, the animation works only while standing.
    Eliza Madrigal: :) lovely sound
Bruce Mowbray: Otherwise, it takes off all my clothes and the antlers.
    Agatha Macbeth: 0.0
    Zon Kwan: hi agatha
    Catrinamonblue Resident: oh dear :)
    Bruce Mowbray: 0.0, indeed.
    Eliza Madrigal: hehhe
Eliza Madrigal: quite a party favor
Agatha Macbeth: Clothes I can understand, but antlers?
    Agatha Macbeth: Not cricket that
Eliza Madrigal: like oni, removes girls' skirts
Bruce Mowbray: It takes off all of my attachments -- and replaces them with the animation.
    Agatha Macbeth: Oh my
Bruce Mowbray: (Thanks, Eliza. I'l remember that one.)
Agatha Macbeth: The penalty of being musical

Eliza Madrigal: I apologize for being late .. but shall we take 5 minute pauses today?
    Agatha Macbeth: Yeh!
    Bruce Mowbray: Yes, let's.
    Catrinamonblue Resident: yes :)
Eliza Madrigal: wonderful :) We have 3 minutes before... maybe time for a one line check in from each?

Agatha Macbeth: That bell is becoming quite a welcome fixture

Eliza Madrigal: <-- has had a lovely day, time with my grandfather watching the squirrels on the balcony
    Bruce Mowbray: one liner....?
    Agatha Macbeth: Aww
Eliza Madrigal: (such as my example) :)
    Bruce Mowbray: Excellent!
Catrinamonblue Resident: had a lovely rainy snowy walk in the woods today
    Eliza Madrigal: ooooooohhh
    Eliza Madrigal: ::squashes envy::: lol
Agatha Macbeth: I enjoyed our talk with Bleuji yesterday
    Eliza Madrigal: indeed
Zon Kwan: no watching the squirrels today
    Eliza Madrigal grins
Bruce Mowbray: Have spent almost the entire day writing to my prisoner inmate friend Mike.... (copies of my letters to him becoming journal entries)
Eliza Madrigal: how is Mike these days?
Bruce Mowbray: He's enduring well. I couldn't do what he has to do every day.
    Bruce Mowbray: No way!

    --BELL--

    Eliza Madrigal: I'm sure
    Eliza Madrigal: (5 minutes) :)

    Agatha Macbeth: Hiya Wollie
Eliza Madrigal: _/ \_ Thank you
    Bruce Mowbray: Hello, Wooly Wol!
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Wol :)
Wol Euler: evening all! sorry I'm late
    Agatha Macbeth: Wooly bully
    Catrinamonblue Resident: Hi Wol :)
    Zon Kwan: hi wol

Eliza Madrigal: was looking today, to find what others who are not necessarily religious, have written about Grace
Eliza Madrigal: found very little, but did like this line:
    Agatha Macbeth: Slick?
Eliza Madrigal: "Grace is to the body, what manners are to the mind." Francois de la Rochefocauld
    Agatha Macbeth: Oh
    Wol Euler: ah :)
    Agatha Macbeth: Hm
    Eliza Madrigal: well...anyway :)

    Bruce Mowbray: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K6P7g_qz2OU

Agatha Macbeth: When I think of grace I think of female gymnasts

Zon Kwan: is grace linked to body ?
    Eliza Madrigal: lol Zon
Eliza Madrigal: I can see that, Aggers... dancing with the ribbon...
    Agatha Macbeth: Just me maybe
Bruce Mowbray: (That song is definitely NOT about "grace.")
    Bruce Mowbray: sry.
    Agatha Macbeth: Hiya QT
    Zon Kwan: hi qt
    Bruce Mowbray: Hello, Qt!
Eliza Madrigal: ah, yes.. meant Bruce not Zon (re my lol)
    Agatha Macbeth: Nanu nanu
    Qt Core: Hi all
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Qt :)

Catrinamonblue Resident: I always think of my Grandmother when I hear that word, she moved gracefully always, like a ballerina :)
    Catrinamonblue Resident: Hi Qt :)
    Wol Euler: hello qt
Bruce Mowbray: I feel that grace is more linked to soul than to body....
Eliza Madrigal: I love the word... think of my great grandmother too.. but then she 'was' religious... quite... but also had such a deep sense of taste and appreciation
    Catrinamonblue Resident: nods
Bruce Mowbray: when I consider "grace," I instantly think of the universe itself....
Eliza Madrigal: a gracious universe :) nice
Agatha Macbeth: Doesn't it also mean thanks?
Bruce Mowbray: indeed, or that has been my experience.
Eliza Madrigal: to say grace is to give thanks
Bruce Mowbray: Did not mean to interrupt your train of thought about grandma, though, Eliza.
    Bruce Mowbray: Please say more.
Eliza Madrigal: not at all... was just mirroring Cat

Eliza Madrigal: maybe my question is whether grace is "old fashioned"
Agatha Macbeth: Through the looking glass

    Wol Euler: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7TvHrzQJ0NE
    Eliza Madrigal clicks

Wol Euler: grace (mental/spiritual) is a particularly "slow" state, it seems to me. that is certainly unfashionable
Eliza Madrigal: "state of grace" wu wei?
Catrinamonblue Resident: grace maybe is a state of mind, a thankfulness to the universe for being
    Wol Euler nods.
Bruce Mowbray nods emphatically to what Cat just said.
Zon Kwan: to vague word for my taste
Eliza Madrigal: state of appreciative flow...
Wol Euler: spiritual grace is perhaps enlightenment (assuming for the moment that that exists)

Qt Core: in italian grazia (singular feminine) is the grace as in nice movements and state of grace sense and grazie (techically feminine plural but sometimes used as a singular too) is thanks... strangely grazia means even pardon/mercy

Bruce Mowbray: This is a powerful video, Wol. Thank you for sharing it.
    Wol Euler smiles.
Wol Euler: glad you like it, this is one of my favourite songs

Eliza Madrigal: there is something in it, about uninterruption, which is not the same as being solo...more that there is harmony...
Bruce Mowbray: Also, the photos are powerful, as well as the song
Eliza Madrigal: yes...powerful song, ty Wol
Wol Euler: harmony is a good word for it, yes

    --BELL--

Wol Euler: in tune with existence
    Eliza Madrigal: (5)
    Zon Kwan: waves
    Bruce Mowbray: Namaste, Zon.

Eliza Madrigal: "Beauty without grace is the hook without the bait." Ralph Waldo Emerson
Agatha Macbeth: Hello Eos, nice to see you
    Eliza Madrigal: ty everyone :)
    Eliza Madrigal: Welcome Eos :)
Catrinamonblue Resident: grace perhaps is a thankfulness for the experiences, both good and bad, that brings growth..... an ability to go with the flow of life and see it all as an experience...
    Eos Amaterasu: hi, all!
    Wol Euler: hello eos
    Catrinamonblue Resident: Hi Eos
Eliza Madrigal: well said, Cat, thank you
    Wol Euler: hello jan
Agatha Macbeth: Long time no see Jan

Bruce Mowbray: What Cat has just said, it seems to me, requires the capacity to forgive.... to forgive the universe, each other, and especially myself.

    Catrinamonblue Resident: Hi Jan :)
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Jan :)
    Bruce Mowbray: Hello, Jan!
    Jan Qualia: Hello everyone
Catrinamonblue Resident: Yes Bruce forgiveness is big in that
Qt Core: Hi Jan, Eos too
Eliza Madrigal: forgive the universe.. that's kind of a wow

Catrinamonblue Resident: Something I have learned to do for others... not so well with myself :)
    Wol Euler smiles.
    Agatha Macbeth: Hm
Eliza Madrigal: acceptance but without cowardice
Bruce Mowbray: x"Myself" is always the last one to get forgiven.
    Catrinamonblue Resident: :)
Bruce Mowbray: but if I can forgive the universe....
Bruce Mowbray: then maybe also myself, somehow.
    Catrinamonblue Resident: nods
Bruce Mowbray: and that's how Grace is known, through that experience.
Eliza Madrigal: mmm... a bit like the child who says "I didn't ask to be born!"
    Bruce Mowbray: for me.
Bruce Mowbray: So many children did not wish that.
    Bruce Mowbray: (or did they?)
Eliza Madrigal: just the feeling of... hm..not reconciling
Eliza Madrigal: I always wonder that too, Bruce :) have suggested to my kids that they chose me...so deal - lol
    Bruce Mowbray listens....
Agatha Macbeth: Good taste they have
    Eliza Madrigal: (((Aggers))
    Bruce Mowbray: (agrees with aggers).
    Agatha Macbeth smiles

Eliza Madrigal: Qt and Eos and Wol and Jan, would you like to give a one line check-in? We did that before you arrived.
Eliza Madrigal: Then we'll be at our next 5 minute pause
    Jan Qualia: one line?
    Jan Qualia: a haiku checkin??
Eliza Madrigal: yes...about your day, or anything that comes to mind to share
    Agatha Macbeth: Haiku chicken?
    Eliza Madrigal: hahaa
    Jan Qualia: yum
    Agatha Macbeth: With fries please
Eliza Madrigal: (sounds like a board game)
Bruce Mowbray: 3 mins until drop.
    Bruce Mowbray: Checkin?
Jan Qualia: new course on web science started
    Agatha Macbeth: Checkin the chicken
Wol Euler: hmmm. Storm before the calm :)
Jan Qualia: but overlaps with last two weeks of music production :(
Agatha Macbeth looks round for Storm
Eos Amaterasu: weather swirls slow nearing equator, sensing directions
    Wol Euler: (my one-liner)
    Agatha Macbeth: Ah
Qt Core: Something i noticed and had to tweet a few hours ago: In these days i'm nicer than usual to others, even to complete strangers i don't have any use for. ;-) #notbeingmyself
    Wol Euler smiles.
Eliza Madrigal: mmmm, wow, thank you
    Catrinamonblue Resident: :)
Eliza Madrigal: perhaps a soft focus on 'weather' and 'direction' for the pause upcoming..inner/outer... :)
    Jan Qualia: https://www.futurelearn.com/courses/web-science
Catrinamonblue Resident: looking for a youtube video I saw today

    --BELL--

    Eliza Madrigal: *thank you

Catrinamonblue Resident: Sry Eliza... going back to grace for a min.... talking about children... the childlike mind.... wonder at the universe... I think is grace as well, a form of it maybe
    Catrinamonblue Resident: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kCCHn...RemxYoWbcYANsA
    Eliza Madrigal clicks

Catrinamonblue Resident: this is a video I saw this morn. Liked it very much
    Wol Euler: _/|\_
Jan Qualia: 'Become ye as a little child' ...Jesus
Bruce Mowbray: "Unless ye become like little children, you cannot enter the kingdom of heaven. . . . " --- Jesus
    Catrinamonblue Resident: :)
    Bruce Mowbray: ;)
    Bruce Mowbray: There it is.
Eliza Madrigal: must say that the idea of "been there done that" as a form of laziness, condoned by society, is an interesting angle
Jan Qualia: that;s why I like to think of how a newborn baby sees the world
    Wol Euler: agreed (eliza)
Jan Qualia: a sensory world without concepts
Jan Qualia: they haven't been inculcated yet
Bruce Mowbray: gotta be "cool" at all cost, huh? NOOOOOO! Would rather be a clumsy and curious child.
Catrinamonblue Resident: to me it seems a form of grace, to see and be as a child sees to experience everything fully
    Bruce Mowbray: Yes!
Bruce Mowbray: a form of grace, to be a child, again, and again, and again....
Catrinamonblue Resident: Wol and I talked about this recently :) experiencing both the good and the bad fully
Jan Qualia: not sure what grace means
Agatha Macbeth: The good the bad and the ugly
Jan Qualia: thought it was God's dispensation to us
    Eliza Madrigal: 9/low
    Jan Qualia: amazing grace
    Agatha Macbeth: 2 no trumps
    Wol Euler nods.
Jan Qualia: not clinging to good experiences or avoiding the bad...that's what the Buddha said
Eliza Madrigal: yes... which when some hear they think of as passivity
Catrinamonblue Resident: but for me it`s not passivity
Qt Core: i have to say i have seen this childish stupor in adult too, in mentally disabled people, especially if they weren't "educated" where educated stands for making them learn to stay quiet
Catrinamonblue Resident: its experiencing fully both
Jan Qualia: acceotance gets that rap unfirtunately
Eliza Madrigal: "where educated stands for learning to stay quiet" - that's a wow too, Qt

Jan Qualia: chuildlike openess is more what is meant I think
    Jan Qualia: not childishness
    Catrinamonblue Resident: yes
    Eliza Madrigal: mhm... radical openness..courageous

Eos Amaterasu: (ciao all, thnx for brief interlude, back to RL...)
Bruce Mowbray: Bye for now, Eos.
Eliza Madrigal: Oh Eos...leaving too soon
    Qt Core: bye Eos
    Catrinamonblue Resident: Bye Eos
    Eliza Madrigal waves
    Jan Qualia: bye Eos
Agatha Macbeth: Bye E, enjoy the blueberries
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Bruce Mowbray: (suppertime in Nova Scotia?)
    Eliza Madrigal: perhaps
    Eliza Madrigal: would be 6pm
Jan Qualia: back to overthinking probably?
Agatha Macbeth: Off to scrape maybe
    Eliza Madrigal smiles
Jan Qualia: baby doesn't think..it experiences
Catrinamonblue Resident: yes :) and that`s the ppoint I think
Jan Qualia: (wasn't referrng to Eos)
Eliza Madrigal: but not to go 'backward'...

    --BELL--

Eliza Madrigal: except in the sense of remembering that innocence

Catrinamonblue Resident: I am only speaking from my own experince, which I admit is small, but I find that I am an open person, I do forgive and don`t hold onto anger, there is no purpose served in holding onto anything really. I try to live each day as it comes, to experience each day fully. Some days are really really hard, I have generalized anxiety disorder, but I sit with it, breath through it, experience it, and then it`s gone and I move onto the next experience. Love, joy, happiness, pain, sadness, whatever that may be I go through it.
Eliza Madrigal stretches chat box ^.^
Catrinamonblue Resident: sry I do chatter on so ;)
Eliza Madrigal: no need for apologies :))
Agatha Macbeth: Maybe that's why it's called a chat box
Bruce Mowbray: Very valuable to listen to and to hear, this "chatter."
    Eliza Madrigal smiles

Jan Qualia: you do that naturally Cat?
    Eliza Madrigal: yes
Jan Qualia: I have to work at it
    Agatha Macbeth: Cat chat
    Eliza Madrigal grins
Catrinamonblue Resident: I have learned to but part naturlly there since this is something I have had since childhood
Eliza Madrigal: for me there seem to be layers
Bruce Mowbray: (chat box) -- that's for those Frankophiles in the group.
Eliza Madrigal: times in which it seems as though something has passed.. but then it may come back again thinner...
Eliza Madrigal: or with a different feeling
    Agatha Macbeth: Mon dieu ^.^
    Bruce Mowbray: :)
    Bruce Mowbray listens.
Eliza Madrigal: and it may brush by a sense I didn't realize was there... a memory or pain...
Eliza Madrigal: like, I have this shoulder injury. I keep thinking it is gone, but then sometimes I reach for something, a small reach perhaps... and >zap<
    Agatha Macbeth: Oww
Eliza Madrigal: so then I'm aware of it again for a while
Eliza Madrigal: tend to it again
Catrinamonblue Resident: yes Eliza very much so
Jan Qualia: but bad emotions don't last as long for me nowadays
Catrinamonblue Resident: yay Jan :) me too :)
Jan Qualia: I kinda allow them and they seem to dissipate
    Catrinamonblue Resident: yes :)

Eliza Madrigal: make space or them?
    Eliza Madrigal: grace for them?
Jan Qualia: instead of churning them around in thoughts
    Catrinamonblue Resident: yes

Bruce Mowbray: Growing "grace" for the body might be as valuable as growing "grace" for the emotions....
    Jan Qualia: yes
    Eliza Madrigal: mmmm
    Jan Qualia: just allow them
Jan Qualia: so easy to say
    Bruce Mowbray: "Let it be"?
Catrinamonblue Resident: oh I know :)
Jan Qualia: yeh not suppressing or magnifying
Catrinamonblue Resident: Let it be, let the universe work it`s magic :)
Jan Qualia: we kinda fear them perhaps
Bruce Mowbray: ahhhh, and we're back to the Gracious Cosmos.
Eliza Madrigal: these things take 'training' though... I know for all of us here, we've learned to remind ourselves
Jan Qualia: scared of their power
Jan Qualia: but it is the mind that adds the power
    Catrinamonblue Resident: nods
    Jan Qualia: yes
Bruce Mowbray: or, perhaps it's the mind that gets out of the way so the power can pass. . . and do its work.
    Jan Qualia: preferably yes
Eliza Madrigal: "its work" -- like that phrasing
    Catrinamonblue Resident: :)
Bruce Mowbray: I think in high school physics we defined "energy" as the "ability to do work...."

Eliza Madrigal: a few years ago my son said to me that I didn't have any problems "of my own", just everyone else's. Perhaps it was true for a window of time, but I began to gather some for sure (hah)
    Agatha Macbeth: Hm yes
    Wol Euler smiles.
Jan Qualia: always remember someting I read that anger naturally dissipates by itself in about 10 secs...if the mind doesn't add fuel to it
Catrinamonblue Resident: we all do from time to time :)
Bruce Mowbray: That is an amazing realization for your son, Eliza -- whether or not it holds true in your own experience.
Eliza Madrigal: there is so much that is perhaps 'optional' that we take ownership of
    Catrinamonblue Resident: yes Jan
Eliza Madrigal: I was a bit startled by his insight at the time, which is why I remembered it

Bruce Mowbray: "Don't pick up and hold on to things that don't belong to you."
    Bruce Mowbray: ha ha.
    Eliza Madrigal: yes!
    Catrinamonblue Resident: :)
    Jan Qualia: yes :)
    Bruce Mowbray: :)
Eliza Madrigal: lol "fold your arms we're going into the antique store"
    Wol Euler nods.
    Agatha Macbeth: @.@
    Agatha Macbeth: Got any grapes?
    Eliza Madrigal grins

    --BELL--

Catrinamonblue Resident: with each experience we learn and grow and change but I like to think that we can keep the child like wonder of looking at the universe, new and shinning every day :)
    Agatha Macbeth: Hopefully
Eliza Madrigal: "each moment a new world appears" as Pema says
    Catrinamonblue Resident: joyfully
    Jan Qualia: _/|\_
    Catrinamonblue Resident: :)
    Wol Euler: _/|\_
Agatha Macbeth: Wonder if it's a brave one?
Wol Euler: my dears, this has been wonderful but I have to move on.
Qt Core: and sometimes the universe itself come looking for us ;-)

Wol Euler: goodnight, take care, be full of wonder
Agatha Macbeth: Bye Wollie, move well
    Qt Core: bye wol
    Catrinamonblue Resident: Night Wol :)
    Wol Euler: ♥
Jan Qualia: have a wonder - ful day
    Agatha Macbeth: ♥
    Jan Qualia: byee
Catrinamonblue Resident: You too Jan :)
Eliza Madrigal: bye Wol, wish you calm in the storm
    Eliza Madrigal: bye Jan :)

Eliza Madrigal: while we have this nice sized little group, I want to ask everyone to begin to think of ways we might address the PaB dispersing of energies
    Bruce Mowbray: hmmmm.
Eliza Madrigal: it is a recurring topic and shared sense about things...and I'm sure there are ways to play with it
    Agatha Macbeth: Bye
Catrinamonblue Resident: My life is so busy I can`t make commitments. but I love coming when I can and I love chattering on so
    Eliza Madrigal: :)

Qt Core: about the suprise you get look at today pics from Milan (not mine): http://www.milanotoday.it/foto/cultu...hogostyle.html
    Eliza Madrigal clicks
    Catrinamonblue Resident: beautiful pictures
Eliza Madrigal: oooo 11/11 photos ^.^
Eliza Madrigal: today is wishing day
Agatha Macbeth: What are we wishing for?
    Bruce Mowbray: :)
Eliza Madrigal: tell if you want to but otherwise just toss a virtual coin into the pool, hah
    Catrinamonblue Resident: :)
    Agatha Macbeth: Plop
    Eliza Madrigal skips a stone
Qt Core: today is St. Martin too, as for traditional saying there should be the St Martin's summer, amd yes there was, great skies and sun today

    afternoon_005.png

Eliza Madrigal: :)) so lovely to gather with you all, thank you
Bruce Mowbray: and thank YOU, Eliza.
    Agatha Macbeth: Yep
Eliza Madrigal: time for me to cook some pasta...in honor or St. Martin
Catrinamonblue Resident: for everyone to experience their lives fuly, every moment, and to never forget, never ever forget, that there are those who are no longer with us, those who fought for us, those who are still here and who are n pain
Catrinamonblue Resident: for us to experience and know them
Agatha Macbeth: How did the pumpkin croissants turn out?
Eliza Madrigal: (actually not for St. Martin but as good a reason as any, hah) Croissants were toooo good. I ate 2 and 1/2 @@
Eliza Madrigal: that isn't going to help me fit into my bridesmaid dress
    Bruce Mowbray: :)
    Agatha Macbeth: Hmm
    Catrinamonblue Resident: :)
Eliza Madrigal: thank you Cat. Yes, it is an important day of remembrance
    Catrinamonblue Resident: nods
Eliza Madrigal: soldiers both in wars they realize they are fighting in and those for whom life is just way too hard
    Catrinamonblue Resident: yes
Eliza Madrigal: perhaps nice to take one more pause, beginning now, and lasting to end bell
    Bruce Mowbray: yes, good suggestion.
    Catrinamonblue Resident: yes :)
    Eliza Madrigal: thank you friends

    --BELL--

Catrinamonblue Resident: Thank you everyone :) this has been amazing :)
Agatha Macbeth: We are pretty amazing
    Qt Core: :-)
Bruce Mowbray: Another wonderful session, Eliza.
    Bruce Mowbray: Thank you.
    Eliza Madrigal: ((((((((((((((((((everyone))))))))))))
Catrinamonblue Resident: oh lovely Bruce thank you :)
    Agatha Macbeth: Nice Brucie
    Eliza Madrigal: stands and smiles
Qt Core: nice effects, it seels coming from somewhere else in my home
    Agatha Macbeth: The lone piper
Bruce Mowbray: Bye for now, good people!

    Agatha Macbeth: TC
    Qt Core: bye all!
Catrinamonblue Resident: Bye everyone :)thanks all
