    Agatha Macbeth: Liz ♥
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi!
    Agatha Macbeth: Yay
    Tura Brezoianu: hi Ag, Liz
Eliza Madrigal: good to see you both
    Agatha Macbeth: Isn't it? :p
Eliza Madrigal: I'm a little laggy, because I'm trying to keep shadows on
    Agatha Macbeth: How's Hank?
Eliza Madrigal: a bit much for my computer
    Eliza Madrigal: Hank?
    Agatha Macbeth: Marvin
    Eliza Madrigal: oh
    Eliza Madrigal smiles
    Agatha Macbeth: The Shadows
    Agatha Macbeth whistles Apache
Eliza Madrigal: one needs to know so much to get by around here ^^
Agatha Macbeth: I guess we know what we need to know and that's enough :)
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Eliza Madrigal: Tura, it was interesting to read that you do taiko (sp?) drumming
Agatha Macbeth: Any great projects planned?
    Agatha Macbeth listens
Eliza Madrigal waves Hi to Storm :)
Agatha Macbeth watches Stormy bound in
Eliza Madrigal: yes that was fun, glad my camera was well situated
    Agatha Macbeth: Hehe
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Bleu :)
    Agatha Macbeth: Bleuji :)
Bleu Oleander: 's current display-name is "Bleu".
    Tura Brezoianu: hi Storm, Bleu
Agatha Macbeth: Tura is a drummer?
Storm Nordwind: I didn't know I had an audience!
    Bleu Oleander: hey all :)
    Storm Nordwind: Hi all :)
Agatha Macbeth: We picked you up on radar
Eliza Madrigal: that's what I read in a session I missed, am curious what leads one to take on such a neat hobby
    Tura Brezoianu: yes, Japanese-style drumming
    Agatha Macbeth: Oh great
Storm Nordwind: Then i should take a bow
    Eliza Madrigal smiles
Tura Brezoianu: I think I saw a documentary about Kodo (famous Japanese group) a long time ago, and ever since then, I wanted to do that.
Agatha Macbeth: Wonder if it's anything like what Jethro Baudin does
    Agatha Macbeth: Ah nice
Tura Brezoianu: Then about 10 years ago I discovered someone was starting a group in my home town. Been playing ever since
    Agatha Macbeth: Serendipity
    Eliza Madrigal: that's really wonderful
Storm Nordwind: Wonderful. So much power and yet so much subtlety.
Eliza Madrigal: often get to enjoy drummers at the Japanese gardens here for festivals n such
    Eliza Madrigal: vigorous practice!
Tura Brezoianu: A musical art, a martial art, and a dance form all in one
    Agatha Macbeth: Keeps you fit
Agatha Macbeth: Sounds like tai chi
    Agatha Macbeth: Hi Mick
Tura Brezoianu: I'll be in Japan for a few weeks later this year to do some taiko workshops
    Bleu Oleander: hi Mick
    Eliza Madrigal: ah, wonderful
    Tura Brezoianu: hi Mick
Eliza Madrigal: where will you be?
    Mickorod Renard: i
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Mick :)
    Mickorod Renard: iya
Tura Brezoianu: half in Iida (a small town) and half on Sado Island, where Kodo are based
    Eliza Madrigal: sounds perfect :)
Agatha Macbeth: Or at least excellent!
    Eliza Madrigal: :))
Eliza Madrigal: a beautiful place doing something one loves, learning during that time... close to perfect anyway :)
Eliza Madrigal gazes into Bleu's changing faces
    Bleu Oleander: :)
Agatha Macbeth: The many faces of Bleu
Bleu Oleander: many selves expressing themselves :)
    --BELL--1.15
Tura Brezoianu: there must be a story behind your av, Bleu?
Bleu Oleander: was connected to our 10 anniversary art project
Bleu Oleander: and the poetry reading
    Eliza Madrigal: which came first?
Eliza Madrigal: avi idea, art, or poem?
Bleu Oleander: poetry maybe ... but not sure ... the avi was a close relative to some past ones
Storm Nordwind: I feel like that sometimes in the morning before coffee.
Bleu Oleander: I feel like that after coffee ha!
Eliza Madrigal: not sure which self you're going to settle on for the day?
    Storm Nordwind: Dis-integrated
Bleu Oleander: many selves in one day I think
Eliza Madrigal: seems that way to me too, before coffee = no face
Bleu Oleander: play with the dog self, work self, go to lunch self etc.
Eliza Madrigal needs an adept at switching gears self
Agatha Macbeth: Good to know there's plenty of Liz to go round :)
Eliza Madrigal: "will the real __ please stand up!"
Bleu Oleander: there is no real hehe
Eliza Madrigal: probably the people in one's life might each describe a self that we dont' know
    Bleu Oleander: yes :)
Storm Nordwind: That's often useful. Like critiquing someone else's poetry. Being negative is easy and can be avoided. But finding a good thing is often useful to the writer as you may indicate a meaning or aspect that they hadn't considered. Always good to see through someone else's eyes.
Bleu Oleander: in a way I find this avi to make me feel more open, less self defined, if that makes any sense
    Agatha Macbeth: Indeed Stormy
Eliza Madrigal: that's interesting bleu, but hard to imagine... settled faces seem so much easier to embody or project upon :)
Bleu Oleander: perhaps that's it ... I don't project upon it as much as some of the others
    Eliza Madrigal: ahhh
    Agatha Macbeth: Ahh
Eliza Madrigal: nice version of a floating diagnoses
Bleu Oleander: its not me, just a hint of the many possibilites of me
Storm Nordwind: It's like going out into the day fresh, like a blank canvas, and saying to the world "Paint on me!"
    Bleu Oleander: yes :)
Eliza Madrigal: I saved a photo Storm shared in the 99 days pages "Your future self will meet you shortly"
Eliza Madrigal: it is my desktop now
    Storm Nordwind smiles
    Bleu Oleander: nice
Eliza Madrigal: I'm keeping an eye out
    Storm Nordwind: haha!
Eliza Madrigal: maybe I'll set out some offerings
Bleu Oleander: your future self meets you every day
Bleu Oleander: every hour maybe :)
    Eliza Madrigal: true enough :)
Bleu Oleander: maybe as fast as my faces are changing
Eliza Madrigal: in that light, isn't it difficult to critique at all?
    Bleu Oleander: probably
Bleu Oleander: change happens fast and critiques can't keep up
    --BELL--1.30
Storm Nordwind: Bleu, I'd be interested to see a multilayer version of that avi's face where the faces underwent cyclic alpha-fades and thus periodically merged in each other.
Bleu Oleander: 110 her today and this does make me feel refreshed LOL
    Eliza Madrigal: haha, and UGH!
    Bleu Oleander: interesting Storm
Storm Nordwind: Fairly easy to do too
Bleu Oleander: this is just one texture
Eliza Madrigal: must load some faces of those you are seeing too
Bleu Oleander: the script cycles through different parts of the one texture
Agatha Macbeth: Don't get your coils wet
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Bleu Oleander: I would need 8 textures that fade into each other?
Storm Nordwind: Right. But if you used the same techniques as a slide show screen, and separated the textures, you could have multiple faces merging.
Bleu Oleander: ah ok might be fun to play with
Storm Nordwind: You can always borrow my code! :)
    Bleu Oleander: ok!
Eliza Madrigal: How are you feeling in your new av appearance Aggers?
    Bleu Oleander: zooms in
Agatha Macbeth: Hard to say really
    Bleu Oleander: mesh?
Storm Nordwind suppresses the desire to refer to Agatha's avatar as Mrs. T ;)
Agatha Macbeth: If I knew how to push skins on mesh heads it would help :p
    Agatha Macbeth: put*
Eliza Madrigal wishes mesh wasn't such a difficult leap
Agatha Macbeth: It confuses the hell out of me
Eliza Madrigal: I still feel nostalgic for my pony tail girl in pink polka-dots!
Bleu Oleander: its not that hard, its a pain buying new stuff for tho and harder to make clothes
    Bleu Oleander: ha! Eliza
Agatha Macbeth: Ah the girl next door
Agatha Macbeth: Or Ruth one step removed
Eliza Madrigal: she's still there... deep down, although the first thing I learned to buy was a tattoo, to give her some contrasts :)
Eliza Madrigal splashes Mick and hopes he's OK
Agatha Macbeth: Mylon Pinkney is 5050...
    Agatha Macbeth: N*
Agatha Macbeth: Mick is probably engaged with the younger generation
    Eliza Madrigal nods
Agatha Macbeth: A full time job indeed
Eliza Madrigal: I'm not quite caught up but have skimmed the other session
    Agatha Macbeth: Liz the skimmer
    Mickorod Renard: i
Eliza Madrigal: didn't see if there were thoughts on summer sessions/coming weeks?
Agatha Macbeth: Yes are there thoughts?
Agatha Macbeth: When's the next WG?
    Bleu Oleander: 7/10
    Storm Nordwind: July 11
    Bleu Oleander: oops right
Eliza Madrigal: So I'll plan a Guardian Meeting right after if possible
Storm Nordwind: Wednesday (unless you use Steve's calendar ;)
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Bleu Oleander: ha! wed, 11 at 1:30
Mickorod Renard: I am unsure whhat I may find stimulating..so find it hard to offer suggestions
    Eliza Madrigal: there you are!
    Agatha Macbeth: OK thx
    Mickorod Renard: boo
    Mickorod Renard: @
Agatha Macbeth: Boo to you too
    Mickorod Renard: :)
Eliza Madrigal: I wanted to ask how you felt about 'making love overwhelming' now
    Agatha Macbeth: 0.0
Bleu Oleander: must have missed that one :)
    Mickorod Renard: ergg.hum,,clears throat
    Agatha Macbeth: Who?
Eliza Madrigal: not right now, sheesh Aggers, hahaha
Mickorod Renard: we must discuss that in private \Eliza
Agatha Macbeth must have missed it too
Eliza Madrigal: Mick said at the beginning of the exploration that he wanted to explore sufi themes to "make love overwhelming in his life"
Eliza Madrigal: it was a really beautiful statement and I've thought about it a lot :P
    Agatha Macbeth: Oh
    Bleu Oleander: ah ok
Agatha Macbeth: I just play safe and make tea instead...
Eliza Madrigal: funny how I could hear how my line sounded as soon as I hit enter
    Eliza Madrigal giggles
Agatha Macbeth: At least you didn't hit shout
Storm Nordwind: no milk, no sugar please Agatha
    Bleu Oleander: :)
Eliza Madrigal: that might have been overwhelming
    --BELL--1.45
Agatha Macbeth: Would have had people from Hanja running in
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Agatha Macbeth: (If there's anyone there anymore)
    Storm Nordwind: nope
Mickorod Renard: at the drop of a hat, which wouldnt do it justice.....I find it closer to attaining yet so disrupted by normal life
Agatha Macbeth: Funny how the old welcome centres have all run down
Storm Nordwind: And the map shot with the forest around makes them look blighted!
    Agatha Macbeth nods and sighs
Agatha Macbeth: Used to be so vibrant on Saturday nights too
Agatha Macbeth: Mind you I think about half of them got banned for one thing or another
Eliza Madrigal: High Fidelity just had a big investment, not sure what it might mean for other worlds
    Eliza Madrigal: *received
Agatha Macbeth: HiFi are still going?
Eliza Madrigal: it was a news blurb today
Agatha Macbeth: Thought WiFi had overtaken them :p
Storm Nordwind is reminded to continue with Sansar investigations
Mickorod Renard: Dwelling in an abundance of love which dwells in oneself like many things in life, I dont think its something that one can just do..like stopping smoking,,its a little by little process and in the end you are unaware of it but opefully others notice
Agatha Macbeth: 'Is there anybody there?'
Tura Brezoianu: I've visited HiFi a few times, but never saw a reason to spend time there
Bleu Oleander: is there a better world to spend time in?
Eliza Madrigal: "dwelling in an abundance of love" ... beautiful phrasing Mick
Tura Brezoianu: SL and RL are the only ones :)
Mickorod Renard: it should be compulsary
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Agatha Macbeth: Sounds like you have it with the kids...
    Bleu Oleander: :)
Bleu Oleander: would love be love if it were compusary?
    Agatha Macbeth: Mandatory affection
    Bleu Oleander: :)
Storm Nordwind: PaB is the right place to be to help being aware of "dwelling in an abundance of love". It seems to me the more you drop other things, the more you're aware of it.
Mickorod Renard: I think it can only be free
Eliza Madrigal: I struggle with similar balances as Mick from time to time... it is like, for abundance of love, you sometimes can't stop, or feel you can't stop, to dwell in it
Storm Nordwind: Don't stop. Just drop. :)
Eliza Madrigal nods Storm, and fits with the notion of continual, little by little, process
Eliza Madrigal: but still, I admit to struggle, good struggle, but struggle nonetheless
Mickorod Renard: I get annoyed with myself..literally when I notice my...self..feeling it doesnt have reciprocation......yet I know within myself that I give my caring free without expectations
Mickorod Renard: seeing my self as a seperate thing is worrying
Eliza Madrigal: why some deities have thousands of eyes and arms? :)
Agatha Macbeth: I think six should be enough for anybody!
    Eliza Madrigal grins
Agatha Macbeth: Now I'm trying to remember all the things Kali holds
Agatha Macbeth: Think a head is one
Agatha Macbeth: And a sword maybe?

Bleu Oleander: I must get back to work ... take care all
Eliza Madrigal: bye Bleu, good to see you
    Storm Nordwind: Bye Bleu
    Agatha Macbeth: TC Bleuji
    Bleu Oleander: bfn
Mickorod Renard: too much to think about....keep life simple
    Bleu Oleander: keep cool
Agatha Macbeth: Don't work too hard
Eliza Madrigal: sword must be there :)
    Mickorod Renard: bye Bleu
Eliza Madrigal: there is something in the notion that 'play as' is not a doing
Eliza Madrigal: but we lose touch with the empty center from time to time
Agatha Macbeth: Oh a whip too :)
Mickorod Renard: exploring is frustrating if one doesnt discover someting
    --BELL--2.00
Agatha Macbeth: God she has a long tongue
Storm Nordwind: If the object is to find, yes. If the joy is in the exploring, no.
Eliza Madrigal: Hm, but think of the hunt... like searching for the birthday crows...
Mickorod Renard: yes storm, I guess thats ow we should approach chooseing the next exploration
    Eliza Madrigal: crowns*
Eliza Madrigal: finding the crown is an important part of the hunt
Agatha Macbeth: Birthday crows is an interesting concept
Mickorod Renard: I need to search for the h that keeps disapearing on my laptop
Storm Nordwind: Mick, check out Bartle's Taxonomy, as applied to the reasons why different people play video games. You'll find the categorizations (one of which includes exploring) apply to the rest of life too.
Agatha Macbeth: Is it like Ara's S?
Eliza Madrigal: your keyboard has an accent
Mickorod Renard: ha ha yes!..zee s
    Agatha Macbeth: Ztupid Zony :P
Mickorod Renard: ok will have a look at that Storm, ty
    Storm Nordwind: Mick: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yxpW2ltDNow
    Agatha Macbeth: Ah memories
    Eliza Madrigal clicks
    Mickorod Renard: ah cheers
    Agatha Macbeth oils Liz
    Storm Nordwind: hahaha!
    Eliza Madrigal hums
Mickorod Renard: cool vid, I might let the kids at school see this
Eliza Madrigal: great reference, thanks Storm
Storm Nordwind: And after watching it, get them to take this test: http://www.4you2learn.com/bartle/
    Mickorod Renard: he he
Eliza Madrigal: what if your shifting selves are different sorts of players?
Storm Nordwind closes the gamedev bookmark list on his browser
Storm Nordwind: Then you multiplex by time, either in the same game, or several games. Like real life.
Eliza Madrigal: the killer and socializer have to wrestle it out
    Eliza Madrigal giggles
Storm Nordwind: How many of us have a single avatar in SL, or a single email address, or a single account on some favorite app?
Eliza Madrigal: nice idea of "ecosystem" metaphor
Mickorod Renard: I am running out of stuff for lessons these last few classes
Agatha Macbeth notes Storm didn't clap when he said 'app'
    Agatha Macbeth: ☞ Cℓαρ ☻ Cℓαρ ☞
    Agatha Macbeth: ☞ Cℓαρ ☻ Cℓαρ ☞
    Agatha Macbeth: ☞ Cℓαρ ☻ Cℓαρ ☞
    Agatha Macbeth: :P
    Eliza Madrigal: cute ^.^
Agatha Macbeth: One of the few
Eliza Madrigal: how old are the kids in the classes Mick?
Mickorod Renard: depends, 12 or 13
Eliza Madrigal: good age for that!
    Mickorod Renard: e he
Eliza Madrigal: probably all like games
Mickorod Renard: yes, it seems that pc/appgame playing is the main objective in life
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Mickorod Renard: eating and staying warm are secondary
Eliza Madrigal: a main mode of interaction now
Eliza Madrigal: but asking them to think about what kind of motivations they have would be neat....
    Agatha Macbeth: Ah them motivations
Mickorod Renard: well, I do try and sew in little things like that
Storm Nordwind: A little bit of self-knowledge in a genre they can relate to
    Eliza Madrigal: yes
    --BELL--2.15
Eliza Madrigal: so few adults asked me to think in those ways when I was young... I can remember almost every encounter like that
Mickorod Renard: ok folk, i must go..laptop about to run flat tpoo
    Agatha Macbeth: Aww
Eliza Madrigal: K, Mick, have a nice night
Storm Nordwind: Bye for now Mick. :)
    Tura Brezoianu: bye Mick
Mickorod Renard: wheres that link to the test Storm?
    Storm Nordwind: http://www.4you2learn.com/bartle/
Storm Nordwind: Also IMed to you
Mickorod Renard: thankyou, and thanks guys
    Storm Nordwind waves
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Storm Nordwind: No one wants to move. Too hot. 100°F (38°C) here right now and climbing.
    Eliza Madrigal: whoa
Agatha Macbeth: It will probably snow in a couple of hours :p
Eliza Madrigal: rare event when Miami is not the most oppressive
Eliza Madrigal: the wide Colorado skies are so beautiful in summer, though
Storm Nordwind: Yes they are! Though curiously today, the hottest day of the year so far, it is broken cloud 5/8 coverage (sorry aviation terminology!).
    Eliza Madrigal grins
Agatha Macbeth: Cabbage crates over the briny
    Tura Brezoianu: Wizard prang
Storm Nordwind: Are you near the briny Agatha?
Eliza Madrigal: we're in our tropical mode, where there are bright skies and then within seconds everything goes black and you are dodging lightning bolts
    Agatha Macbeth nods
    Agatha Macbeth: I wish
Storm Nordwind: 750 miles to the briny from here.
Agatha Macbeth: Hope you don't get the winds Liz
    Eliza Madrigal: the briny?
    Storm Nordwind: Sea. ocean
Eliza Madrigal: ah, new terms :)
Eliza Madrigal: so long as there is no major hurricane = happy
Agatha Macbeth: Hard to get far from the sea in any direction in this country
    Eliza Madrigal: nice situation
    Agatha Macbeth: Mmm
Agatha Macbeth: Only the wind and the waves sire...
Eliza Madrigal: the blessing of living near the Atlantic too, is the wind
Agatha Macbeth: Oh the Atlantic is famous for wind
Storm Nordwind: Meh, wind shmind. We only got hurricane force winds in Scotland two, three, four times a year.
Eliza Madrigal: why you had to build castles ;-)
    Storm Nordwind nods and grins
Storm Nordwind: Westminster and Washington are also famous for wind... of a different kind. :/
    Eliza Madrigal sighs
    Agatha Macbeth: HA
    --BELL--2.30
    Agatha Macbeth: Anyway
Agatha Macbeth: Must awa the noo
    Storm Nordwind: Bye Agatha!
    Agatha Macbeth: Tatty bye kids
    Eliza Madrigal: ((aggers)))
Agatha Macbeth: Be careful out there
Eliza Madrigal: :) son is getting out the shower and looking over my shoulder re Bartles, says he's not familiar but likes the channel, so will show him now :)
Tura Brezoianu: time for me to be going
    Eliza Madrigal: bye Tura :)
    Tura Brezoianu: goodnight all
    Eliza Madrigal: bye Storm :)
    Storm Nordwind: Bye :))
    Eliza Madrigal: Have pleasant evenings
