Korel Laloix: Good crowd.. lots of fun.
Paradise Tennant: nice ! what was on the menu?
Korel Laloix: and the food was not bad if I have to say so myself... smiles
Korel Laloix: Venison roast, quail with bacon, frybread and home made tortillas, fiddle heads, sweat potatoes, devils claw, pumpkin and a few other things.
Paradise Tennant: wow sounds delicious :)
Korel Laloix: Was a lot of work, but worth it.
Paradise Tennant: yes it is always worth it :)
Paradise Tennant: and there are left overs !
Korel Laloix: The venison was not as tender as I wanted it.. but I don't cook with it that often.
Korel Laloix: A few akward moments like normal.. but in a good way.
Paradise Tennant: well a giving a big dinner is a bit like a stage production
Paradise Tennant: lots of timing issues
Korel Laloix: Oh it is... was just 12 total including grandma.. but it was perfect... I do thi every year.
Korel Laloix: She did more of the serving today though.. sort of an exchange for me waitressing for her big do on Thursday
Paradise Tennant: always good to have help
Korel Laloix: So having some left over wine and quail at the moment... .lovely
Korel Laloix: People did not dig in for seconds of that... not sure why as I thought it better than the venison.
Paradise Tennant: yes like that feeling afterwards when everyone is gone and the kitchen is finally tidy of sitting down and thinking about how it all went
Korel Laloix: lol.. you are optomistic...
Korel Laloix: Just on the second load of dishes... smiles
Korel Laloix: Will be tomorrow after church before I have the kitchen back in order

stevenaia Michinaga: long day of food and relatives
Korel Laloix: one of the disadvantages of having the old garage as my bedroom is that it is one of the largest rooms in the house.
Korel Laloix: so it gets turned into a dining room on occation.
Paradise Tennant: yes ... korel too was tellling me about her feast :))
    stevenaia Michinaga: :)
Korel Laloix: It wa sa lovely day... for sure.. our big one was on Thursday though.
Paradise Tennant: funny how central to sharing food is :)) it is kind of a cement :)) a family glue
Korel Laloix: For some.. makes for some drama to others.. but that can still be binding I gues.
stevenaia Michinaga: yes, this is the second holiday feast this week, tow holidays coinscide this year
Korel Laloix: I had to talk with my mother Thursday... and she was actually civil to me... that was a first... so maybe a good thing.

Korel Laloix: NO idea of how to spell that sort of thing.
    stevenaia Michinaga: lol, no Hannukkah
Korel Laloix: Oh yes... that time of year... lol

Korel Laloix: A dated Jewish girl for a while and she was really into those things..... I did not really fit in well though...
