Wol Euler was guardian for this session.

    Qt Core: Hi yellow Wol
    Wol Euler: heheheh
    Wol Euler: hello brown qt
    Wol Euler: happy sunday
Qt Core: happy sunday to you too, how is life ?
Wol Euler: pretty good so far :)
Qt Core: Ohh, a pikachu outfit... with a dead pikachu covering your feet ?
Wol Euler: yeah, that's a bit disturbing, isn't it?
Wol Euler: I met a tiny pikachu avatar last night, he was quite upset about them
Qt Core: maybe they were his/her brothers
    Wol Euler nods.
Qt Core: (noticing i'm mostly clad in yellow in RL at the moment, sometimes my sister calls me pikachu when i'm so attired...)
    Wol Euler smiles.
Qt Core: it was a nice anime for the first dozens episodes, then it become a little boring (and silly)
Wol Euler: I never got into that, I just know Pikachu as a character
Wol Euler: such a jolly figure
Qt Core: who would not like such a pet, little, clean, usually happy and can beat anyone would threaten you

    --BELL--

    Wol Euler smiles.
Wol Euler: I can see the appeal
Wol Euler: and best of all, they never shit.
    Wol Euler: real advantage there.
Qt Core: who know, maybe they do it when inside their pokeball
Qt Core: in a miniaturized apartment with all conforts
    Wol Euler nods.
    Wol Euler: it's possible
Wol Euler: like a tardis ...
Qt Core: even without the time travel part i'd like one, just for storing all my junk, even better if a little more portable
Wol Euler: definitely. I would love the RL equivalent of SL's infinite and weightless/volumeless inventory
    Qt Core: like Doraemon pouch
    Wol Euler: what's that?
    Qt Core: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doraemon
Qt Core: a robotic cat with a pouch (reminding about kangaroos) from wich he extracts incredible tech stuff
    Wol Euler: ah :)
Qt Core: (one of the longest and most famous anime in Japan)
Qt Core: would the approaching diffusion of 3d printers be something like that, being able to create whatever we need ?
Wol Euler: that's a very long list of characters ... Japanese kids must have good memories, or a kind of "cheat sheet"
    Wol Euler: hmmmmmm, interesting point
Wol Euler: as long as they came with a destructor function, else we'll just be buried even deeper in waste
Qt Core: even better if you could recicle them as "ink" for the printer itself

    --BELL--

Qt Core: (our local public library just had a session about 3d printing, if you went there with: a laptrop, some 3d software and relative knowledge they would help you making something providing the printers too)
Qt Core: personal gadgets and light duty household things may be created that way
Wol Euler: what are the products like? I heard they were relatively fragile and brittle
Wol Euler: i.e. people won't be 3D-printing guns and swords for a while yet
Qt Core: would that be a problem ? ;-)
Wol Euler: for some people, yes
Wol Euler: think of the opportunities for creating weapons *after* airport security.
Qt Core: mmm, it seems that even if not for long there are working 3d printed guns... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...ows-faces.html
Qt Core: civilization is safe, we can make a lot of undetected weapons
    Wol Euler: *sigh*
Wol Euler: there's something about the words "civilization" and "gun" that just do not fit in the same sentence, for me
Qt Core: i agree, unless there is a not somewhere in the sentence
    Wol Euler nods.
Wol Euler: I really wonder about the mentality of people who create things like that (the blueprints for a 3dprintable working gun) -- and then publish them!
Wol Euler: what problem does this solve?

    --BELL--

    Qt Core: overpopulation ?
Wol Euler: because if you aren't working to solve problems then you are wasting your life.
    Wol Euler: IMHO YMMV
Qt Core: the big question of morality in science and tech... (it is a bigger issue in tech than in science in my opinion).
Qt Core: knowing about nuclear phisics is science, the atom bomb is tech, as nuclear power plant are
    Wol Euler nods.
Qt Core: on a complete different topic (and level), i will be coming at the saturday 1am session a lot less, i thought (and proved) that satirday at 9am is a good time to to the gym
    Wol Euler: ah :)
Qt Core: (that is if there is a good time to go to such a place) ;-)
Wol Euler: well, we (meaning myself) will miss you, but it's for a good cause. So go!
    Wol Euler: be healthy!
    Wol Euler smiles.
Qt Core: i'll keep coming here if i oversleep :-)
Wol Euler: but of course you won't oversleep!
    Wol Euler: gym, no excuses.
Qt Core: we'll see after the beginner enthusiasm will pass
Wol Euler points to her previous statement.
Wol Euler: know that the enthusiasm will *of course* pass, not because gym is wrong but because all enthusiasm passes :)
Wol Euler: be ready for it, and don't believe that it's a problem.

    --BELL--

Wol Euler: end of lecture :)
Qt Core: at the moment i'm amazed about being tired and not half dead after gym
    Wol Euler smiles.
Qt Core: wondering if the trainer got my program right ;-)
    Wol Euler: heheheh
Wol Euler: it isn't SUPPOSED to hurt :)
    Qt Core: no ?
    Wol Euler: heheheheheh
Wol Euler: it's supposed to improve without you wanting to give up :)
Qt Core: and why, o why the nearest shop to the gym is a restaurant (of the all you can eat kind) ?
    Wol Euler: heheheheheheheh
    Wol Euler: clever marketing?
Wol Euler: cynical in any case
    Qt Core: evil too
    Wol Euler nods.
Wol Euler: or just one of those strange big-city coincidences
Qt Core: murphy all over the town
    Wol Euler: mmhmm
Qt Core: time to go unravelling the day
    Wol Euler smiles.
    Wol Euler: take care, qt
Qt Core: you too, and have fun
    Wol Euler: will do :)
    Wol Euler: bye for now
    Qt Core: :) bye
