    Wol Euler: buongiorno, qt
    Qt Core: buongiorno Wol
Qt Core: nice dress '30 style ?
    Wol Euler smiles.
    Wol Euler: thank you
Wol Euler: it is a bit retro, especially with these pearls
    Wol Euler: how are you?
Qt Core: if the alternative is most of what we see at fashion exhibit better be retro
    Wol Euler grins.
Qt Core: almost good, shh don't let the world know it
    Qt Core: and you ?
    Wol Euler: heheheheheh
Wol Euler: I have a very runny nose and much sneezing, which I *hope* is just hay fever
Wol Euler: otherwise fine, very cheerful
Qt Core: with the temps changing is easy to go out with the wrong clothes and get a cold
Wol Euler: that's what I worry about
Qt Core: some forecast are saying we'll have May temperatires this week
    Wol Euler: wow
Wol Euler: we were at 20°C on Friday. It's colder now, and raining
Wol Euler: but still far too warm for the date
Qt Core: in past 2/3 days there was a loot of blossoming on trees, it surprised me as i didn't see the buds as i usually do

    --BELL--

    Wol Euler nods.
Wol Euler: apple trees and bushes are blossoming here already, but the magnolias are not yet out
Wol Euler: and I killed the first mosquito of the year on Thursday
    Wol Euler grins.
Qt Core: do you keep count ? ;-)
Wol Euler: only the first one
Wol Euler: and I found a ladybug in the office and set it free
Wol Euler: applying some karmic balance
Qt Core: nice, i only get those ugly brown insects that smells badly if you kill them in my office
    Wol Euler: hmmmm
Qt Core: (they aren't really ugly, it is only that they have a boring brownish gree color, very good for be hidden on trees, not on white walls)
Wol Euler: perhaps by killing off the brownish green ones, you are helping them evolve to be white?
Qt Core: a study on urban insects color, worth an Ig Nobel proze
    Wol Euler laughs.
Wol Euler: we get a lot of "nature" in and around the office, we once had a lizard get in
Wol Euler: through an open window, it had been sunning itself on the stone windowsill
Wol Euler: there are hawks and fieldmice, and some foxes in a nearby bit of spare land beside a railway embankment
Qt Core: i see many of them in summer around (but not in) the office
Qt Core: (lizard i mean) a snake, probably a viper too a few years ago

    --BELL--

    Wol Euler: O.O
Qt Core: there are a few fields around, plenty of mice to to eat i presume
Wol Euler: there are mice enough in the middle of cities too, and rats
Wol Euler: I saw an eagle swoop down and capture a rat in the middle of a "park" atop an underground garage, while waiting at a bus stop
Wol Euler: right in the middle of the city
Qt Core: nice (or scary, depending on the kind oh hat you were wearing ;-) )
    Wol Euler: hehehhe
Wol Euler: how's the gym going?
Qt Core: quite well, but i yesterday i had the exercise list changed... a little more said the trainer... on average it is four time heavier!
Qt Core: but strangely my arms are still attached so it seems i can manage
    Wol Euler smiles.
    Wol Euler: that's good!
Qt Core: yesterday i went searching for an heart rate monitor to chedk while doing cardio activityi... as usual sport clothing/tools aren't sized of unspirty people

    --BELL--

    Wol Euler nods.
Qt Core: we could be such a market as while losing weight we could have to buy new sets of decreasing sizes
    Wol Euler: mmhmm
Wol Euler: I was thinking that
Wol Euler: it's very short-sighted of advertisers to sell only to people who already have what they are selling (but "need" more of it)
Qt Core: (even if for people that rarely are able to do it wear baggy clothes IS rewarding)
    Wol Euler: oh yes :)
Qt Core: argued with some people about that when they told me i have to buy new clothes now
    Wol Euler smiles.
Qt Core: this winter i could not wear one of my coat, it was too, too large, it really kept slipping down my shoulder
    Wol Euler listens.
Qt Core: it surely was the largest i have, but still surprised me
    Wol Euler: you've changed :)
Qt Core: yes, almost weirded out when i realized i wasn't the heavier in a group of friend at a pub in past weeks
Wol Euler smiles and claps her hands.
    Wol Euler: There!
    Wol Euler: good for you

    --BELL--

Qt Core: now i have to wear a red rose to be recognized in blind dates, can't say look for the fat one any more ;-) (never had blind dates, but used the fat one line to meet internet friends in RL for the first time)
    Wol Euler laughs.
Qt Core: i hope i can keep my resolve to go to the gym, the logistic of a gym less than 100 mt away from home are very nice
    Wol Euler nods.
Wol Euler: I hope so too
Wol Euler: from my own experience of such things, the secret is: make no excuses. Never. Not even for a good reason
Wol Euler: because if you allow a break for a good reason, you
Wol Euler: you'll allow one for a medium reason, and you end up allowing breaks for no reason at all
    Wol Euler: (my experience)
Wol Euler: the slogan "just do it" is exactly right
Qt Core: i'm using more "the doctor said it" ;-)
    Wol Euler: hehehehe
    Wol Euler: well, whatever works!
Qt Core: i hope (and fear) to at least stop disliking it if not liking it
Qt Core: fear as to lose my image of sport hater ;-)
    Wol Euler nods.
Wol Euler: you would gain a different image though :)
Wol Euler: it works both ways
Wol Euler: and it would not mean that you had to go to football matches on the weekend :)
Qt Core: but i may (ugh) want to play one
    Wol Euler laughs.
Wol Euler: well, leave that possible problem for the day on which it may occur
Wol Euler: because the future you that might want to play, is not the present you that doesn't
Qt Core: yes, it is still many months a nd a few kg away
    Wol Euler nods.

    --BELL--

Wol Euler: I was thinking about being afraid to change in the way that you mentioned, of coming to love something that we now dislike
Wol Euler: which is a very common feeling
Wol Euler: and yet we should welcome it, because it would mean bringing a new joy into our lives
Wol Euler: yet we hang on to the feeling of dislike that we have
    Wol Euler: why is that?
Qt Core: as we don't like the feeling of having been wrong before or seeming indecisive/not coherent
    Wol Euler nods.
Wol Euler: so it's the fact of having been wrong, not what we are changing, that counts ...
Qt Core: the more you dislike what you now like make you wonder "what about everything else ? am i wrong about that too ?"
    Wol Euler nods.
Qt Core: and on lesser (?) degree what would others thinks about my sudden change ?
    Wol Euler: definitely that, yes
Wol Euler: peeling off a label that people are using about us
Qt Core: that we are using about ourselves
Wol Euler: "what will they put on me now instead of that?"
    Wol Euler: yes, also ourselves
Qt Core: i always disliked Apple (;-) and now i'm thinking i'd like an ipad... it almost make me angry
Qt Core: especially as it is quite a prejudice as i never be on a mac (for more than a couple minutes)
    Wol Euler: heheheheh
Wol Euler: so ask yourself why it was that you disliked them?
Wol Euler: perhaps they've changed too?
Qt Core: the last release of windows followed the (so i assume) idea of apple, we do know best, you'll work our way
Qt Core: (speaking of windows 8 user interfaces and last Office products releases)
Wol Euler: funny that, because what you said is exactly my idea of Windows :)
Wol Euler: it dictates what I should do and allows me no freedom
Qt Core: knowledge is freedom, we know best one of the two and find the other limiting
Wol Euler: example: when I edit a photo and save it, Windows insists every time on saving in the official Photos folder, even though I have *never* ever saved a photo there. Every time I change the destination, and every next time it ignores me.
Wol Euler: Mac learns which folder I use, and starts there next time.

    --BELL--

    Wol Euler nods
Qt Core: yes, i almost renounced on saving files outside the My Document tree even if i never liked it
    Wol Euler smiles.
Qt Core: even if thanks to american DST we are an hour early i have to go, Wok, i have a little more things to do this morning
    Wol Euler nods.
Wol Euler: and I haven't yet had breakfast :)
Wol Euler: take care, Qt, and keep on going to the gym!
Qt Core: that is not good
    Qt Core: :-)
    Wol Euler: I'm suffering! heheh
Qt Core: bye Wol, have fun (and breakfast)
    Wol Euler smiles.
Wol Euler: bye for now, qt
