The Guardian for this meeting was Mickorod Renard...
Eliza Madrigal: Hi Mick :)
Mickorod Renard: Hi Eliza
Mickorod Renard: howz it going?
Eliza Madrigal: I may duck out a little early today - dealing with an ear infection so slightly dizzy
Eliza Madrigal: just came from urgent care
Mickorod Renard: owww..thats horrid havin one of those
Eliza Madrigal: I thought it was my tooth until this morning
Eliza Madrigal: no fun
Mickorod Renard: makes you feel all over the place
Eliza Madrigal: yes... then on the way home I grabbed some groceries, and the latch didn't work well, so it flew open in traffic
Eliza Madrigal: groceries everywhere
Eliza Madrigal: haha... having a day
Mickorod Renard: oops, just lifting a 18month up on my lap
Eliza Madrigal: :)) the age when they first realize their great power to get into things
Mickorod Renard: oh nooo...well get all bad things out the way
Mickorod Renard: yeh, he is into verything
Eliza Madrigal: I've had a lot of training in embarrassment so was prepared
Mickorod Renard: ha ha !
Eliza Madrigal: :)
Eliza Madrigal: 18 mo is what I think some people think of as terrible twos, but I found the twos pretty great. Threes is another surge of development and boundaries pushing
Mickorod Renard: he wasnt too bad earlier, I could leave a garden hose running anbd he was happy just spraying it everywhere
Eliza Madrigal: aw
Eliza Madrigal: maybe he needs a puppy
Mickorod Renard: yeh, all the stages are great in their own way
Eliza Madrigal nods
Mickorod Renard: no..def no puppies
Eliza Madrigal grins
Mickorod Renard: i have a 15.5 old dog
Mickorod Renard: he has been a pain since a puppyish age
Eliza Madrigal: :)
--BELL--
Mickorod Renard: he was from wild hunting dog lineage..no training could help
Eliza Madrigal: ah, mine is hunter too but so little
Mickorod Renard: mine was an escapolagist too
Eliza Madrigal: :)) love that term
Eliza Madrigal: reminds me of foxes
Mickorod Renard: he he
Mickorod Renard: ok, baby gone
Mickorod Renard: screeming
Eliza Madrigal: :)
Mickorod Renard: he he
Eliza Madrigal: oh no
Mickorod Renard: Hi Bruce
Eliza Madrigal: Hi Bruce :)
Mickorod Renard: Hi ags
Eliza Madrigal: Hi Agatha :)
Agatha Macbeth: Evening all
Bruce Mowbray: Heya, aggers, Eliza, and Mick.
Mickorod Renard: yeh, you know when you dont like cats and yet they all want to sit on your lap
Mickorod Renard: well, I seem to have the same effect with kids
Agatha Macbeth: ^.^
Mickorod Renard: although I do like them too
Agatha Macbeth: Kids don't dig their claws in yer leg tho
Mickorod Renard: he he
Eliza Madrigal has no dreams to share today
Mickorod Renard: no?
Eliza Madrigal shakes head
Agatha Macbeth: I'm sure Mick has one :p
Mickorod Renard: I have three..but I have no rush to do them
Agatha Macbeth: You old dreamer you
Mickorod Renard: would welcome someone elses
Eliza Madrigal: :)
Mickorod Renard: :)
Agatha Macbeth: How's Brucie?
Bruce Mowbray: You're up, Mick. . . cuz I done have a dream to share either.
Bruce Mowbray: don't
Mickorod Renard: ok, well, I have two big ones and one small one
Eliza Madrigal: I've been dreaming but since I'm waking up with alarm to get puppy they fly away
Bruce Mowbray: Great!
Agatha Macbeth: Dog-napping
Mickorod Renard: ah yes eliza..its the time to write them up before they go
Eliza Madrigal: :) I have morning shift
Bruce Mowbray: (not great to Eliza's loss of dreams, but great to Micko's having dreams to share).
Agatha Macbeth: Morning what? Oh, shift
Eliza Madrigal: yes :) happy to read Mick's
Eliza Madrigal: juicy?
Eliza Madrigal: lol
Agatha Macbeth: 0.0
Bruce Mowbray: your puppy is really beautiful, Eliza
Agatha Macbeth: If you say so
Bruce Mowbray: btw.
Agatha Macbeth: Mm?
Mickorod Renard: well, i have one that is maybe personality related..one that is surreal,,and one that is quick and anxious
Eliza Madrigal: thank you :)) he is soooo sweet I can't handle it
Agatha Macbeth: Like me then
Eliza Madrigal: yes just like you
Agatha Macbeth beams
Mickorod Renard: he he ,,yeh, they say the dogs take after the owners
Bruce Mowbray: Did you pass out your dreams yet, Mick?
Eliza Madrigal: you're an escapologist, Mick?
Mickorod Renard: ohh,,,:(..that says alot about me sadly
Mickorod Renard: he he
Eliza Madrigal: :)
Agatha Macbeth: You have a rottweiler?
Mickorod Renard: ok, I will do the personal one..dream
Agatha Macbeth: Yay
Bruce Mowbray: Yayy!
Eliza Madrigal anticipates
Bruce Mowbray: ty.
Mickorod Renard: did u get it ags?
Agatha Macbeth: I did - reading
Mickorod Renard: great
Agatha Macbeth: I'm in the toilets now
Mickorod Renard: he he
Bruce Mowbray: me too, aggers.
Mickorod Renard: I'm suprised you got in
Agatha Macbeth: Hm
Eliza Madrigal: okay, have read
Mickorod Renard: kk
Eliza Madrigal: very neat
Agatha Macbeth: Passionate Mick eh
Mickorod Renard: mmm?
Bruce Mowbray: [done reading]
Mickorod Renard: oh yeh..I have been thinking about that recently
Eliza Madrigal: I really like the cognac part of the dream, seems rich territory...am musing
Mickorod Renard: so many people I come across dont seem to have a passion
Agatha Macbeth: Or they have wrong one
Mickorod Renard: yes, I am not a cognac drinker
Mickorod Renard: yes true Ags
Eliza Madrigal: even more so, because it was just your sensitivity to their appreciation... an appreciation they'd build a lot of their life around if their place emphasized it
Mickorod Renard: I found it interesting how these things are presented in dreams
Mickorod Renard: yes eliza
--BELL--
Eliza Madrigal: Hi Qt :)
Qt Core: Hi all
Mickorod Renard: peoples passions are not obvious to the eye
Bruce Mowbray: Hi, Qt.
Agatha Macbeth: Buona sera Qt
Mickorod Renard: Hi qt
Bruce Mowbray re-reads Mick's cognac dream....
Eliza Madrigal: I'm not sure I could answer the 'what's your passion" question
Mickorod Renard: just given you a dream
Agatha Macbeth: Puppies perhaps?
Eliza Madrigal: doesn't mean I don't have passion, but, hm
Mickorod Renard: well, feel happy to ask questions
Eliza Madrigal: :) Agatha.... passion for love and things that exude ?
Agatha Macbeth: Exude?
Mickorod Renard: I feel passionate about love and commitment..but maybe thats the issue here
Agatha Macbeth: Aww
Agatha Macbeth: I find that admirable
Mickorod Renard: ty
Agatha Macbeth: But then that's me :p
Mickorod Renard: :)
Eliza Madrigal: puppies don't hold back affection for one second, don't hide feelings (@Aggers)
Agatha Macbeth nods
Agatha Macbeth: They aren't like people
Eliza Madrigal: hm... thinks about the feeling of abandonment in the dream
Agatha Macbeth: She obviously knew you were okay so she went for a drink...
Mickorod Renard: grin,,yeh
Eliza Madrigal: yes there's the feeling of normal life
Agatha Macbeth: Look on it as a vote of confidence
Eliza Madrigal: even though you were worried and then relieved
Mickorod Renard: in fact my wife would probably be the oposite,,and be a pest at the hospital
Eliza Madrigal: interesting!
Bruce Mowbray: a highly personal question (@ Mick) - Do you feel the dream is trying to reveal something to you about your marriage?
Agatha Macbeth: Hitting the doc with her handbag
Eliza Madrigal: cognac could represent a rare substance, essence
Mickorod Renard: well Bruce, yes
Eliza Madrigal listens
Eliza Madrigal: "spirit" (okay really listening)
Bruce Mowbray also listens, but feels a bit guilty for asking.
Mickorod Renard: but I think its more about my expectancy to hold onto young ideals
Mickorod Renard: no Bruce,,not at all
Agatha Macbeth: Catching lightning in a bottle
Mickorod Renard: dont feel guilty
Qt Core: between the workers keeping up with their work (and even trying to involve you) and your wife going to the pub/bar instead of coming to you at the hospital i see a theme of "the universe won't notice you and keeps going"
Eliza Madrigal: :)
Mickorod Renard: I ,from the start of dreams years ago said i didnt mind being guinei pig
Eliza Madrigal: or there are things important to you that aren't to others
Eliza Madrigal: not from malice just that's the way of things with loved ones
Mickorod Renard: yes QT and Eliza
Mickorod Renard: the realization that life moves on at its own pace
Bruce Mowbray: I don't understand why it is fallen to Mick to have to clean up the spilled cognac.
Agatha Macbeth: And leaves you behind sometimes
Mickorod Renard: and the universe is not governed by my own fantacy
Eliza Madrigal: he's the only one who felt the urgency to protect feelings
Bruce Mowbray: indeed, he was the only one...
Agatha Macbeth: Urgent and passionate
Mickorod Renard: well, here is this thing Bruce, I am sensitive
Bruce Mowbray nods.
Bruce Mowbray: please say more.
Mickorod Renard: the sensitivity I feel is a big problem for me I think
Bruce Mowbray: I am concerned that people are taking your kindness and sensitivity for granted.
Mickorod Renard: I wish I could be ruthless and self interested
Bruce Mowbray: or may be.
Eliza Madrigal thinks it is a function of Mick's spirituality
Bruce Mowbray: agrees with Eliza.
Mickorod Renard: I feel they do Bruce, but then again if I asked they would say its because I am stupid
Eliza Madrigal: you really think so?
Bruce Mowbray: I feel that it is a function of my spirituality and my personality that I need to be generous.... but that doesn't mean that I want to submit to taking care of people who could just as easily take care of themselves financially.
Mickorod Renard: but i cant change
Agatha Macbeth: Would you want to change?
Bruce Mowbray: no I don't think you should change...
Bruce Mowbray: nor do I think you should let people take you for granted.
Mickorod Renard: when I try and change I am wracked with guilt
Agatha Macbeth: Maybe when you get taken for granted it means you're doing things right
Eliza Madrigal relates to Mick
Bruce Mowbray: Bruce also relates to Mick....
Agatha Macbeth polishes Mick's head
Bruce Mowbray: :)
Eliza Madrigal nods @ Agatha... sometimes the energy it would take to not be taken advantage of would take away the gift inherent in the innate behavior
Mickorod Renard: but i think the dream seems to indicate that I would be happy if I felt a resiprocal system
Agatha Macbeth: Right
Bruce Mowbray: yes, I agree that your sensitivity and generosity should be reciprocated by those around you....
Bruce Mowbray: you might even need to ask for that.
Agatha Macbeth: Well say to Morg 'more attention please' :p
Mickorod Renard: but then that wouldnt be my nature
Eliza Madrigal: sometimes when people feel that need for reciprocity they develop passive aggressive ways to get what they need
Eliza Madrigal: if they aren't aware, that is
Agatha Macbeth ponders passive aggression
Mickorod Renard: mmmm?
Bruce Mowbray: yes, allies it, but that stresses the importance of honest communication... so that we don't revert to passive aggressive methods.
Eliza Madrigal nods
Bruce Mowbray: Eliza* (npt allies it)
Agatha Macbeth: Sounds a bit Gandhi-ish
--BELL--
Eliza Madrigal: directly saying what you need is hard
Mickorod Renard: he he
Bruce Mowbray: yes directly saying what you need is hard... but I would support Mick totally in doing that.
Eliza Madrigal: for sure
Mickorod Renard: actually i dont do so bad..and I do talk
Bruce Mowbray: then you're not passive aggressive, Mick.
Mickorod Renard: but its the lack of identifying the passion
Mickorod Renard: ty bruce
Bruce Mowbray: your own passion or others'?
Eliza Madrigal: asking what you yourself want?
Agatha Macbeth: WB Qt
Qt Core: ty
Mickorod Renard: no, I think the feeling that others dont recognise my passion due to a seemingly lack of similar passion in themselves
Eliza Madrigal: ahh!
Eliza Madrigal: yes that makes such good sense
Bruce Mowbray: I was very specifically raised and conditioned to value what other people wanted before examining my own needs and wants . . . it took me decades to turn that around.
Mickorod Renard: if that makes sense
Agatha Macbeth: Makes sense yes
Eliza Madrigal: it does, wow
Bruce Mowbray nods, it makes sense.
Mickorod Renard: I sometimes see it as being in a world of ruthless people
Bruce Mowbray: I find it interesting that the phone in the dream was yours and also that you valued it -- does it to symbolize communication?
Bruce Mowbray: or a desire for better communication?
Eliza Madrigal: good point Bruce
Mickorod Renard: yes a good point Bruce
Mickorod Renard: the phone in rl is rarely used as noone rings me other than when something is needed
Bruce Mowbray: something about the phone might fall out of the pockets of the jacket --- but that the wife was not concerned?
Mickorod Renard: but at the same time it is so valued because I worry in case someone is in dificulty and needs me
Bruce Mowbray: To the people in the dream act as if they " need" you?
Eliza Madrigal: aye, there's the rub
Mickorod Renard: yes, in rl my wife often switches hers off due to work and forgets to switch it back on
Bruce Mowbray: but I'll bet she also insists that you keep yours turned on.
Eliza Madrigal: ("what kills me also heals me")
Mickorod Renard: yeh, if i cannot be contacted the world becomes mayhem
Bruce Mowbray: indeed, that's what I thought.
Agatha Macbeth: Hehe
Eliza Madrigal: it seems you have a need for new ways of validation Mick?
Mickorod Renard: I felt the friend who was defensive and offensive about when I got the phone was suspicious
Mickorod Renard: Yes Eliza
Bruce Mowbray: Perhaps I value independence too much... not just in my own life but also in others.
Bruce Mowbray: my mother used to say," You teach them how to walk so they can walk away."
Bruce Mowbray: and we did!
Eliza Madrigal: hmm
Mickorod Renard: suspicious that i would want someone having my phone in case there was something on it..which I thought was sad to have that distrust about me
Eliza Madrigal: mine don't seem to....lol
Agatha Macbeth: Lucky you eh
Mickorod Renard: validation would be good Eliza
Agatha Macbeth: Ari :)
Mickorod Renard: in so much as at least you could carry on with the passion feeling it wasnt wasted
Arisia Vita: greetings all
Eliza Madrigal: Hi Ari :)
Mickorod Renard: Hi ari
Agatha Macbeth arihugs
Bruce Mowbray: Heya, Ari!
Bruce Mowbray: Great to see you again!
Eliza Madrigal: maybe clarifying that desire is where you're at now, Mick
Eliza Madrigal: clarifying enough to make clear to others
Mickorod Renard: well, I suspect I would have to 'just carry on'
Qt Core: Hi Ari
Mickorod Renard: :)
Mickorod Renard: but interestingly, its made me more observant about peoples passions
Mickorod Renard: passion is the underpinning of value
Agatha Macbeth: I'll bet :p
Mickorod Renard: outside monetry systems
Agatha Macbeth: That's a good place to be
Mickorod Renard: I think
Eliza Madrigal: it is a fascinating angle
Eliza Madrigal: the passion in you recognizing the passion in others... some form of namaste :)
Mickorod Renard: and it explains why people do wierd things too
Agatha Macbeth: It does?
Eliza Madrigal: lol
Mickorod Renard: grin
--BELL--
Agatha Macbeth: Come back Freud we need you
Mickorod Renard: now then, next week
Agatha Macbeth: Next week?
Mickorod Renard: or would you like the quick other dream now?
Eliza Madrigal: yes, sure
Agatha Macbeth: Yeh!
Bruce Mowbray: yes let's do the other dream.
Agatha Macbeth: Hit it
Mickorod Renard: would ari like the one we just had too?
Eliza Madrigal: :)
Arisia Vita: whatever pleases you all
Mickorod Renard: ok, brace yourselves
Agatha Macbeth: Hola Xira x
Eliza Madrigal: Hola Xira, ms artist
Xirana Oximoxi: hola Agatha:)
Bruce Mowbray braces himself.
Xirana Oximoxi: hola a tod@s :)
Agatha Macbeth braces herself too
Agatha Macbeth: Oh my
Qt Core: Hi Xir
Eliza Madrigal: ah gee.... such strong images
Agatha Macbeth: Never seen darts played outdoors
Xirana Oximoxi: hi QT :)
Eliza Madrigal: "not knowing its value"
Bruce Mowbray: wow. that looks like an anxiety dream to me.
Mickorod Renard: ok, for Xir and Ari, the darts one is now and the cognac we did earlier
Mickorod Renard: yees Bruce
Eliza Madrigal: you're trying to protect something but you aren't quite sure of how it became yours to protect or what its worth?
Mickorod Renard: a panic dream
Bruce Mowbray: it reminds me so much of my dreams of personal inadequacy...
Agatha Macbeth: Maybe it was related to your salary? :p
Bruce Mowbray: the tent is never big enough!
Eliza Madrigal: !
Agatha Macbeth: 'Size isn't important'
Mickorod Renard: he he, I havnt got a salary now
Eliza Madrigal: (((Woly))))
Agatha Macbeth: Aww
Wol Euler: evening all, sorry I'm late
Arisia Vita: welcome Wol
Agatha Macbeth: Wollie ♥
Mickorod Renard: Hi Wol
Qt Core: Hi Wol
Bruce Mowbray: Hi, Wol.
Mickorod Renard: Hi Wol, would you like todays dreams?
Wol Euler: oh yes please
Xirana Oximoxi: hello Wol :)
Bruce Mowbray: Is there any significance in the darts, Mick?
Bruce Mowbray: maybe something about precision, aiming, scoring....?
Agatha Macbeth: Mick has been up to his weird stuff again...
Mickorod Renard: but if anyone would prefer to say anything regarding the way the dreams are projected feel free
Bruce Mowbray: keeping track of the scores...
Eliza Madrigal: yes...
Eliza Madrigal: tallies
Agatha Macbeth: Old scores perhaps?
Mickorod Renard: the cognaac we did earlier
Bruce Mowbray: As usual, mixed dreams are phenomenally good . . . I am envious.
Bruce Mowbray: Mick's dreams..
Bruce Mowbray: NOT mixed dreams.
Wol Euler reads ...
Bruce Mowbray kicks the Dragon.
Agatha Macbeth laughs at the dragon
Eliza Madrigal: Mick and Wol both tend to remember unique things like angles and lighting
Mickorod Renard: the scores were massive,,yeh I have some old scores to settle he he
Wol Euler smiles.
Agatha Macbeth: Ha
Agatha Macbeth: Someone left Mick's desk out in the rain...
Mickorod Renard: but this darts one is very simple I think
Bruce Mowbray also kicks the proofreader who pushes the enter key before he proofreads what the Dragon has written.
Eliza Madrigal: :)
Bruce Mowbray: please say more, Mick
Agatha Macbeth: And he'll never have that dartboard again
Bruce Mowbray: MacArthur Park?
Eliza Madrigal: darts were what he set out to do but all the other stuff he didn't ask for
Mickorod Renard: odd that the scoring was so high, counting was never an issue for me
Agatha Macbeth: MacArthur darts perhaps
Eliza Madrigal: :))
Agatha Macbeth: Like I said, it was your salary ;-)
Bruce Mowbray: but is settling the scores an issue for you, Mick?
Agatha Macbeth: Or your lotto winnings
Eliza Madrigal: brb
Bruce Mowbray: Eliza has puppy issues.
Agatha Macbeth watches Liz rush out
Mickorod Renard: yes, maybe I am feeling that although I should have lots of time i HAVNT AND ITS ALWAYS A MAD RUSH TO DO ALL THE THINGS i AM EXPECTED TO DO
Mickorod Renard: BYE lIZ
Agatha Macbeth: Know that feeling
Bruce Mowbray: My unsolicited opinion is that people are expecting you to do things that they ought to be doing themselves.
Mickorod Renard: the feeling during the darts and the rain issue was that even tnhough I tried everything it wasnt going to be enough
Eliza Madrigal: there is always someone in a family who absorbs what others don't (back, btw)
Agatha Macbeth: Ah, true
Mickorod Renard: yep, my dog would have escaped by now
Eliza Madrigal: :)
Mickorod Renard: :)
Agatha Macbeth: Dug a tunnel?
Mickorod Renard: but the passion holds me
Mickorod Renard: maybe
Xirana Oximoxi: I go up now... take care all :)
Eliza Madrigal: tc Xiri
Mickorod Renard: bye Xir
Agatha Macbeth: Hasta porno :)
Xirana Oximoxi: bye:)
Wol Euler: bye xira, take care
Qt Core: bye Xir
Agatha Macbeth: Nice pavilion btw
Mickorod Renard: anyways, I have one for next week should no others be available
Mickorod Renard: but I am on holiday
Mickorod Renard: and i am not sue if i get internet
Mickorod Renard: sure even
Agatha Macbeth: You don't get sued on the internet?
Mickorod Renard: would it be best to give it to ..say Eliza
Eliza Madrigal: or peggy or gus
Mickorod Renard: :)
Eliza Madrigal says Eliza
Mickorod Renard: kk
Eliza Madrigal: pretty safe bet, Mick
Mickorod Renard: ok, Eliza has it
Eliza Madrigal: ty :) I'll try not to read beforehand so we're all on same page
Eliza Madrigal: but hope you make it
Agatha Macbeth: The dream guardian
Bruce Mowbray: I'll try to do better with remembering my dreams this week -- put them on a voice recorder if I can remember them when I wake up.
Mickorod Renard: but I am worried everyone will get fed up with my mind issues in these dreams
Agatha Macbeth: Just don't let the dragon near them Brucie
Bruce Mowbray: not at all, Mick!
--BELL--
Agatha Macbeth: Course not Mick
Mickorod Renard: although the one i just gave eliza was not personal i believe
Agatha Macbeth: You give hours of entertainment
Eliza Madrigal: reaches into all kinds of interesting areas Mick
Eliza Madrigal: that everyone relates to
Agatha Macbeth: Like Wollie and her train stations
Mickorod Renard: I am sure i am typical to many folk
Mickorod Renard: and my own issues may help others too
Agatha Macbeth: Not to me thankfully!
Bruce Mowbray: I am honored that you trust us enough to share such personal dreams, Mick.
Agatha Macbeth: Yeh
Eliza Madrigal nods
Wol Euler nods.
Eliza Madrigal: your sensitivity is valued here :)
Bruce Mowbray: for sure!
Mickorod Renard: no probs,,,i personnaly love the visuals in the dreams
Agatha Macbeth: Indeed
Bruce Mowbray: yes your dreams are highly visual.
Agatha Macbeth: Especially the French women
Bruce Mowbray: ha ha.
Mickorod Renard: he he
Agatha Macbeth: Ho ho
Bruce Mowbray: I still remember those nuns!
Agatha Macbeth: Don't we all?
Mickorod Renard: maybe i need to visit the lapdance club in town aggain
Agatha Macbeth: Sure!
Bruce Mowbray: I'll bet Mick does too.
Agatha Macbeth: Go for it
Mickorod Renard: yeh the nuns
Mickorod Renard: that was a good dream
Agatha Macbeth: What fun does a monk have? Nun.
Bruce Mowbray: it was good for all of us!
Mickorod Renard: he he
Agatha Macbeth dies from laughing....
Agatha Macbeth: Aww
Agatha Macbeth: Pesky poses
Bruce Mowbray: just don't lose your phone at the lap dance club, Mick.
Agatha Macbeth: Or the dartboard
Mickorod Renard: few places to loose it there mate
Bruce Mowbray: ha ha.
Bruce Mowbray: it's time for me to be scraping up supper...
Mickorod Renard: ok, I best go now
Bruce Mowbray: thank you very much, Mick and everyone
Qt Core: Bye Bruce
Mickorod Renard: thankyou again
Eliza Madrigal: okay bye Mick and Bruce :)
Arisia Vita: it was great sharing with you all again
Eliza Madrigal: thanks
Agatha Macbeth: Scrape well Brucie
Mickorod Renard: take care everyone
Wol Euler: bye bruce, bye mick, thank you
Agatha Macbeth: TC Micko
Mickorod Renard: hopefully see you soon
Agatha Macbeth: Hopefully!
Agatha Macbeth: Try to get Ara to come too
Eliza Madrigal: bye Ari, ntsy
Eliza Madrigal: Oh, nevermind, lol
Wol Euler: :)
Eliza Madrigal: save that for later :)
Arisia Vita: was just filling the hole
Agatha Macbeth: Ah we seem to be condensing
Wol Euler: musical cushions
Arisia Vita: plugging the leak :)
Agatha Macbeth: Name that tune
Qt Core: yesterday something interesting/unexpected happened in Milan
Wol Euler: oh?
Agatha Macbeth: Oh?
Agatha Macbeth: Snap
Eliza Madrigal listens
Wol Euler: the Greeks paid their debts?
Eliza Madrigal: :)
Agatha Macbeth: The pope arrived unannounced?
Qt Core: for the forst time a buddhist monastry decided to have a day of the lantern celebration
Agatha Macbeth: Good heavens
Eliza Madrigal: that's unprecedented?
Agatha Macbeth: That's unusual then?
Wol Euler googles "day of the lantern"
Qt Core: first time they make it a public thing
Qt Core: here at least
Agatha Macbeth: Don't know much about Buddhist lanterns I'm afraid
Arisia Vita looks over Wol's shoulder :)
Qt Core: and they choose the (just renewed for the expo) Darsena: basically the "port of milan"
Qt Core: for its channels
Agatha Macbeth: Nice
Agatha Macbeth: A bit like Venice then?
Qt Core: they planned to have a few hundreds to a few thousands people there
Eliza Madrigal: wow that will be beautiful
Qt Core: they ended up with 80.000 people!
Eliza Madrigal: have attended small lantern festivals but wow
Agatha Macbeth: Maybe they should do one in St Peter's Square too
Wol Euler: amazing
Qt Core: https://www.google.it/search?q=milan...ed=0CAgQ_AUoAw
Agatha Macbeth: THe Pope will be jealous
Qt Core: pics of the darsena
Agatha Macbeth: Aha
Agatha Macbeth: That's a bigger crowd than Milan v Inter
Eliza Madrigal: "Obon is an annual Buddhist event for commemorating one's ancestors. It is believed that each year during obon, the ancestors' spirits return to this world in order to visit their relatives. Traditionally, lanterns are hung in front of houses to guide the ancestors' spirits, obon dances (bon odori) are performed, graves are visited and food offerings are made at house altars and temples. At the end of Obon, floating lanterns are put into rivers, lakes and seas in order to guide the spirits back into their world. The customs followed vary strongly from region to region."
Qt Core: i thought about going there myself, but luckily i didn't as he become a little nightmarish for trasffic and parking
Eliza Madrigal: (http://www.japan-guide.com/e/e2286.html)
Qt Core: (obvliously the channels in Milan aren't filled with seawater
Agatha Macbeth: Google is giving me messages in Italian :p
--BELL--
Eliza Madrigal: googliano
Wol Euler: luigi googliano
Eliza Madrigal giggles
Wol Euler: and his brother fredo
Qt Core: and still many are trying to say that it failed...
Agatha Macbeth: They should have got 100 000?
Qt Core: (it is true that with all those around many could not see the lantern and that the 10 minutes of silent meditations weren't really silent)
Agatha Macbeth: Guess 'failed' is always a relative concept
Eliza Madrigal: as is silent
Agatha Macbeth: Mm
Agatha Macbeth: Which reminds me, I still haven't unmuted the bell
Eliza Madrigal: why would you do that?
Qt Core: most of those critics came from media more traditionalist than the Pope itself (not that this is hard, given the current Pope)
Agatha Macbeth: It was getting on my nerves
Wol Euler: because you didn't shut up during the silence
Eliza Madrigal: hah
Agatha Macbeth: Moi?
Wol Euler: toi
Eliza Madrigal: I love to be shusshed
Agatha Macbeth: Happens often
Wol Euler: I thought about making it even more aggressive, getting ruder with each successive shush, but that was too much work
Eliza Madrigal: :)
Eliza Madrigal: "hey you yes you.."
Agatha Macbeth: As long as it rings on time is all I ask
Eliza Madrigal: all the way to howler level
Wol Euler: yep
Wol Euler: and it does ring on time
Wol Euler: its own time
Agatha Macbeth sighs
Eliza Madrigal: :)
Qt Core: and to think i thought it was mean only with me ;-)
Eliza Madrigal smiles
Wol Euler: :)
Agatha Macbeth: The bells the bells
Eliza Madrigal: at least it doesn't auto-eject
Agatha Macbeth: Good job
Wol Euler: bye the way, I'm afraid I am going to miss a week of PaB, including my sessions this weekend, due to an unexpected trip out of town
Agatha Macbeth: Aww
Eliza Madrigal: Okay. When leaving?
Wol Euler: I'll miss the next Dreams session too
Wol Euler: saturday morning, back friday night
Agatha Macbeth nods
Eliza Madrigal: hope you manage some of that in-between place sort of dreamy rest
Wol Euler: I shall do my best
Eliza Madrigal: my dizzy is catching up... think I have to go :(
Agatha Macbeth: Oh dear
Agatha Macbeth hates being chased by dizzies
Eliza Madrigal: but glad to check in before you travel, Wol
Eliza Madrigal: and nice to be with everyone today
Arisia Vita: same here
Agatha Macbeth: As always :)
Eliza Madrigal: yeah... ear infection, yuk
Wol Euler: :)
Agatha Macbeth blows in Liz's ear
Wol Euler: take care, m'dears
Eliza Madrigal: ow
Eliza Madrigal: you take care too
Arisia Vita: I too need to fly, it was great being with you all
Wol Euler: and make a point of telling your loved ones that you love them
Eliza Madrigal: everyone be safe and happy and passionate
Agatha Macbeth: Indeed
Eliza Madrigal: <3
Wol Euler smiles.
Agatha Macbeth: ♥♥♥
Arisia Vita: see you all again soon
Wol Euler: ♥
Eliza Madrigal: by definition, loved ones know, I believe :) but yes
Qt Core: bye Eliza, Ari
Wol Euler: goodnight everyone
Arisia Vita: *hugs*
Eliza Madrigal: Night, hugs
Agatha Macbeth: It's a self-replicating thing to a large extent
Agatha Macbeth: Oh is that it then
Agatha Macbeth: Ciao Qt
Qt Core: don't know, telling and knowing it does not seems automatic to me...
Qt Core: bye Agatha
Agatha Macbeth: Ah well...
Agatha Macbeth: TC
