Wol Euler: I do :)
Eliza Madrigal: I think Kori has one from Sama also
Mickorod Renard: yehhh
Wol Euler: but I don'T yet have tea, working on that
Eliza Madrigal: Hi Zon :
Eliza Madrigal: :)
Mickorod Renard: hi Zon
Zon Kwan: hey all
Mickorod Renard: Ags
Eliza Madrigal: Hi Aggers :)
Bleu Oleander: hi Aggers
Korel Laloix: Yes, I think I still have the notecard.
Agatha Macbeth: Bonsoir
Mickorod Renard: great..I couldnt save it
Pila Mulligan: hi Ags, Korel
Agatha Macbeth: Hello Pila!
Korel Laloix: Osiyo.. just let me know if you want to read it.
Agatha Macbeth: Long time no see
Pila Mulligan: aye
Eliza Madrigal: so, wonderful, two dreams today :) yes Kori if you can pass around...
Wol Euler: yes please
Congratulations to Bleu...
Mickorod Renard: btw, well done Bleu
Korel Laloix: It is short, should I just paste it?
Agatha Macbeth: Nothing wrong with being short
Bleu Oleander: oh ty Mick :)
Wol Euler: if you hvae a notecard already, please distribute that
Eliza Madrigal: :) ::applause:::: yes, thanks Bleu [for those who haven' read emails yet, pavilion 5 was chosen]
Wol Euler: easier to read while typing
Korel Laloix: ok
Agatha Macbeth: Ooh
Wol Euler: which was that? the round bleu?
Agatha Macbeth: Which one was that?
Bleu Oleander: ty ty :)
Eliza Madrigal: the last one, transparent
Bleu Oleander: very honored!
Agatha Macbeth: Bleu2?
Bleu Oleander: :)
Agatha Macbeth: Yay
Wol Euler: hmmmm, don't know hwat transparent means
Wol Euler: they were all at laest partly transparent
Agatha Macbeth: See through dear
Eliza Madrigal: lol... the one with the lotus like this one
Wol Euler: so bleu's round one
Bleu Oleander: round 2
Mickorod Renard: thanks Kori
Agatha Macbeth: Oh I remember this
Wol Euler: a wise and worthy choice.
Bleu Oleander: with the square pool that was changed to round :)
Eliza Madrigal: yes
Bleu Oleander: thank you all !
Agatha Macbeth: Plato would be proud
Korel Laloix: Did everyone get it?
Bleu Oleander: will switch out this weekend ... :)
Eliza Madrigal: it makes for an elegant centerpiece (pavilion)
Agatha Macbeth: I haz it
Zon Kwan: yup
Eliza Madrigal: Got it, thanks Kori :)
Bleu Oleander: ty!
Eliza Madrigal: reading..
Korel Laloix: ok...
Wol Euler: yes thatnks
Sama's Dream...
Bleu Oleander: "large hand drawn, black and white cartoon cat. " love that
Wol Euler grins.
Pila Mulligan: if the producer was a cartoon cat I wonder what the sponsor was
Wol Euler: what a great dream
Bleu Oleander: a cartoonist?
Mickorod Renard: love the dream
Pila Mulligan: :)
Korel Laloix: Don't encourage her... lol
Korel Laloix: Sama intends to look at the blog after to see the comments.
Mickorod Renard: I must say..I am at a loss where it comes to idea's about it
Wol Euler waves
Agatha Macbeth waves back
Wol Euler: I sense a certain, very reasonable, amount of frustration in it
Wol Euler: which to this non-tv-watcher seems typical of TV situations
Wol Euler: that a sane person responding reasonably is considered uninteresting, substandard
Agatha Macbeth: Or unusual
Wol Euler: well, unusual they might have filmed :)
Agatha Macbeth: 'Can't film boring people'
Eliza Madrigal: (so sorry, dd came in with an issue...bb when able)
Agatha Macbeth: KK
Korel Laloix: I guess you also have to know that Sama did a couple of years as a professional dancer and grew up in Cuba, from like 6 to 12.
Agatha Macbeth: IC
Bleu Oleander: ah ok thank you Kori ... was wondering ...so in what sense can we comment on this dream if we are missing some input from Sama? it feels like a shot in the dark
Mickorod Renard: yes me too
Korel Laloix: Agreed...
Wol Euler: I think we can respond to it as we did to the dream that Mick read out a few weeks ago, from an anonymous donor
Bleu Oleander: yes, but doesn't that leave out some important stuff?
Korel Laloix: I can answer some questions, but I was not there... smiles
Wol Euler: doesn'T all life leave out important stuff?
Agatha Macbeth: We could ask the cat
Mickorod Renard: I wonder whether the artistic value in Cuba was more recognised than the sensationalist ways of the west?
Bleu Oleander: a question might be, what is the relevance of commenting on a dream vs a short story snipet?
Mickorod Renard: well...we often look at the visual aspect of a dream
Mickorod Renard: as what its routes may have been
--BELL--
Bleu Oleander: so what makes this a dream instead of a short story?
Mickorod Renard: I always suspected that dreams were in a way metaphorical short stories
Eliza Madrigal: ok here...reading again :)
Mickorod Renard: which gave our subconcious food to munch over
Bleu Oleander: just curious ... have thought about that ... the "absent" or not told part of the dream seems a key part and something that would make it different from just a story
Agatha Macbeth: Hm
Eliza Madrigal smiles at the wonderful imagery
Eliza Madrigal: so many dreams, this one included, seem about trying to feel prepared, without enough knowledge...guess that goes along with Bleu's point, which I agree with
Korel Laloix: I just find the idea of remembering so much imagery from a dream so alien... does not happen for me.
Eliza Madrigal: Sama seems cute, lol
Agatha Macbeth: A good couple
Korel Laloix: I think so.... lol
Eliza Madrigal: :)
Bleu Oleander: interesting ... the sense of not enough knowledge
Korel Laloix: At work... brb
Bleu Oleander: a little like kids acting out when the teacher is out of the room?
Eliza Madrigal: or one gets to play out situations in which they have to pull rabbits out of hats
Eliza Madrigal: building confidence in a way
Pila Mulligan: or allowing an insight to a situation
Eliza Madrigal nods
The Brain...
Bleu Oleander: did anyone see the first episode of David Eagleman's "The Brain" on PBS?
Wol Euler: nope
Mickorod Renard: I dont think so
Bleu Oleander: very good
Bleu Oleander: the first of 5 or 6 parts
Eliza Madrigal: watched today, yes good
Bleu Oleander: dreams being not that different than "reality"
Pila Mulligan: all part of experience?
Bleu Oleander: yes
Eliza Madrigal nods
Bleu Oleander: all in your head
Pila Mulligan: or your liver in the Chinese tradition
Wol Euler: I maintain that there is no objective difference between the memory of a dream-event and the memory of a "real" event that you were alone during.
Mickorod Renard: interesting..i wonder if you could get ptsd after a dream?
Eliza Madrigal: we think of ourselves as seeing the world through eyes when awake, but either awake or asleep we don't see, or rather make images, through eyes really
Bleu Oleander: I think that's right Wol
Eliza Madrigal nods... seems to me too
Eliza Madrigal: Wol, did you pass out your dream yet?
Wol Euler: no, I was waiting until we finished with Sama
Agatha Macbeth waits for the railway station
Eliza Madrigal: ah, okay :) I think Kori is back to work, but do others have thoughts further on Sama's dream?
Bleu Oleander: for later: http://video.pbs.org/video/2365580655/
Eliza Madrigal: I just liked the dream, cat made me smile :)
Eliza Madrigal: ty
Wol Euler: indeed, it was a very funny dream
Agatha Macbeth: ^.^
Bleu Oleander: very colorful dream!
Bleu Oleander: a creative imagination
Eliza Madrigal: sort of like wizard of oz... behind it all is something ridiculous
Eliza Madrigal: life joke :)
Bleu Oleander: or hand drawn
Eliza Madrigal: :)
Agatha Macbeth: Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain
Wol Euler: wb mick
Eliza Madrigal: or cat
Agatha Macbeth: Hi Micko
Zon Kwan: runs to rl..waves
Eliza Madrigal: wb Mick :) Wol is going to pass out nc of dream
Mickorod Renard: ty
Wol Euler: bye zon
Mickorod Renard: bye zon
Pila Mulligan: bye zon
Eliza Madrigal: okay Zon, waves
Agatha Macbeth watches Zon sprint off
Wol Euler: there is a dreamlike consistency to him
Wol Euler: did everyone get that?
Bleu Oleander: yes ty
Wol Euler: wb pila
Wol Euler: did you get my dream NC`?
Pila Mulligan: sorry wrong button syndrome
Pila Mulligan: yes, Wol, thanks
Wol Euler: ha
Korel Laloix: back
Korel Laloix: Thanks
--BELL--
Wol's Dream...
Mickorod Renard: wow, well visual dream Wol
Wol Euler: thank you
Wol Euler: if I remember them at all, they are full of visual details
Mickorod Renard: I am impressed it spanned a whole day..if you know what I mean
Eliza Madrigal: a long, full day... full of sensations ...place, weather, patterns...so many different kinds of ground to walk on and life to take in
Wol Euler: yes, that is unusual for me
Bleu Oleander: almost like real life
Wol Euler: well ... thinking of it, I can remember quite a few dreams that took in long periods of time
Mickorod Renard: I felt like I fell into it..and was there too
Wol Euler: so perhaps not so odd
Korel Laloix: back to RL.. ciao all.
Agatha Macbeth: Bye K
Pila Mulligan: bye Korel
Mickorod Renard: especially the park with the eucal
Wol Euler: oh I've just realized something, the stream and the embankment were from the site of a future competition that we visited on Tuesday.
Mickorod Renard: bye korel
Bleu Oleander: bye Kori
Wol Euler: bye korel
Eliza Madrigal: yes, but also descriptive like the beginning of a book.... maybe also the fullness of appreciation for every thing when one loses someone dear, and reflects...extra sensitivity
Agatha Macbeth: Wow you're building a stream?
Wol Euler: somebody has to
Agatha Macbeth: I'm impressed
Eliza Madrigal: oops, laggy
Wol Euler: what, did you think they just grew?`
Agatha Macbeth: And leggy
Agatha Macbeth: Does eucalyptus grow in Canada then?
Wol Euler: in certain climates, yes
Eliza Madrigal: different times... young child = future? old friend = past?
Agatha Macbeth: Wow
Agatha Macbeth: Thought it was only in Australia
Bleu Oleander: we have them in AZ
Agatha Macbeth: Good heavens
Mickorod Renard: If I may ask Wol, did you feel like the dream addressed anything that you may have been troubled with?
Eliza Madrigal: have a rainbow eucalyptus that I visit
Wol Euler: oh no, they were imported to north america in the hopes that they could be a fast-growing source of pulp and fuel wood, didn'T work
Agatha Macbeth: Ah
Wol Euler: it did actually, but that was the part that I left out, concerning the woman and myself in RL
Wol Euler: not going to talk about that, sorry
Wol Euler smiles.
Bleu Oleander: :)
Mickorod Renard: thats ok Wol, ty
Eliza Madrigal: soothing dream
Agatha Macbeth: What's the name of that tree that grows an inch evry 100 years?
Wol Euler: bonsai?
Agatha Macbeth: Hm
Wol Euler: lichen?
Bleu Oleander: Saguaro's?
Agatha Macbeth: Don't think so- Australian
Agatha Macbeth: Ah well
Agatha Macbeth: Back to the dream
Wol Euler: actually there were several RL issues in the dream, the building site exploration was one of them
Agatha Macbeth nods
Wol Euler: obviously reliving and working through the funeral
Eliza Madrigal nods
Wol Euler: I was thinking before I fell asleep about that cemetary
Eliza Madrigal: interesting that closest family wasn't there... as though there was a lot you haven't processed...even just periphery
Wol Euler: well, to be clear, I didn't feel their absence, I just know that they were not active characters in the dream
Wol Euler: I didn't say "oh, Mom is missing"
Eliza Madrigal nods...yes because likely during the funeral you were very aware of them
Wol Euler: it was much more about NL (the woman)
Mickorod Renard: so in a way the characters that were in the dream were the relevent ones?
Wol Euler: mmhmm, it was about her and I
Wol Euler: and I realize now that this is really a bit unfair
Eliza Madrigal: haha
Pila Mulligan: it seems your dream has the quality of a rock skipping the surface of a number present conditions in your life
Eliza Madrigal: yes talk about missing knowledge :)
Wol Euler: well, if we are agreed to turn off the recorder I could elaborate
Pila Mulligan: *of
Eliza Madrigal: but that makes it interseting too
Agatha Macbeth: Could just edit it out
Eliza Madrigal: that's up to you entirely, don't want to pry at all
Mickorod Renard: I promise to eat my laptop afterwards
Wol Euler: okay, because it is interesting to me to
Agatha Macbeth nods
Eliza Madrigal: OK, lets stop the recorder
>stop<
