Eden Haiku: Hello Riddle :) How are you?
Riddle Sideways: Hello Eden :) just waking up sort of
    Riddle Sideways: will evaluate later
Eden Haiku: Take your time :)
    Riddle Sideways: How are you?
Eden Haiku: Good. Sunny here :)
Riddle Sideways: the sun is coming up later and later in compared to the clock
    Eden Haiku: Also 10 o"clock, a different feel than 7 o'clock ...
    Riddle Sideways: yes
Riddle Sideways: should be awake and big sun by 10
Eden Haiku: Days are shortening already, it's getting cooler too...
Riddle Sideways: bad night for sleeping
Bleu Oleander: 's current display-name is "Bleu".
    Eden Haiku: Oh... why?
    Riddle Sideways: hi Bleu
    Eden Haiku: hello Bleu;)
Bleu Oleander: hi Eden, Riddle :)
Eden Haiku: How are you this morning Bleu? Love your red nails and new hair:)
Bleu Oleander: ty Eden, doing great today, you?
Eden Haiku: Feeling very good, thanks.
Bleu Oleander: you Riddle, doing well?
Riddle Sideways: amazing that you check out Bleu in such detail to know the red nails are new
Bleu Oleander: :) actually all old ... playing with inventory

Bleu with new hair and red nails

Eden Haiku: Riddle was mentioning it wasn't a good night for sleeping, I still wonder why. Had trouble going to sleep yesterday night. Very unusual. Solar storms maybe?
Eden Haiku: Ah yes, Riddle, I do notice little details. I think your tuxedo coat is also new isn'it?
Riddle Sideways: only semi-awoke from continued dream that needed worry, scheduling, anxiousity, etc.
Riddle Sideways: :) nah, this old thing
Eden Haiku: Ah yes, scheduling anxiety, I see...
Riddle Sideways: several people were reporting my father called and was very sick
    Eden Haiku: Oh no!
Eden Haiku: So sorry to hear that...
Riddle Sideways: needed to call him and get plane reservations
Eden Haiku: Does he live far away?
Riddle Sideways: kept waking and scheduling phone and plane for first thing in morning
    Eden Haiku: Oh!
    Riddle Sideways: then worry
    Eden Haiku: Understandable.
    Riddle Sideways: then awake
Eden Haiku: How old is your father Riddle?

    --BELL--

He’s not only very old, he’s been dead for many years...

Riddle Sideways: long time later realized the father passed twenty years ago
Riddle Sideways: but did not remember that during dreams
Eden Haiku: So strange how dreams ignore time...
Riddle Sideways: So, was wide awake at 2am
    Bleu Oleander: :)
    Eden Haiku: oh...
Eden Haiku: Did your father pass away at this time of year 20 years ago?
Riddle Sideways: and laughing at self and mad at self and dazlled at self
Eden Haiku: Self processing self :)
    Riddle Sideways: no, died Feb.
Riddle Sideways: yes, mind eating mind
Eden Haiku: What a strange dream Riddle,. Dreams embedded in dreams it seems?

Worries for a dear old cat

Riddle Sideways: then old cat yeowed
    Riddle Sideways: from way downstairs
Riddle Sideways: old cat stopped living in the bedroom about 4 days ago
    Eden Haiku: Oh...
Riddle Sideways: when she found a large Amazon box with paper in the office
Bleu Oleander: old pets do strange things :)
Riddle Sideways: now lives in the box
Riddle Sideways: but, there was no food, water or liter down there
Riddle Sideways: so, must put that on first thing in morning scheduled to do
Eden Haiku: Are you afraid old cat is getting very old now?
    Riddle Sideways: yes
Riddle Sideways: not sure she has been getting to the food
Eden Haiku: My cat started facing walls towards the end...

    Insomnia

Riddle Sideways: so! from 3-6 there was the continual re-remembering of what to do today
Eden Haiku: You probably felt your cat distress Riddle...
    Riddle Sideways: and sleeplessness
Eden Haiku: Sleep is such a gift isn'it? As soon as it eludes us, we feel so vulnerable
Riddle Sideways: there are people who just go back to sleep
    Bleu Oleander: me :)
Riddle Sideways: those that dose to awake to re-remember
Eden Haiku: Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't...
Riddle Sideways: those that write down on a bedside to do list
Riddle Sideways: a few get up and go do
Eden Haiku: No problems at all with sleep Bleu? You are a lucky woman!
Bleu Oleander: never have had a problem with sleeping :)
    Riddle Sideways: really? wow
Riddle Sideways: benefits of a clean soul
Bleu Oleander: even when I lived in NYC with the 24 hr noise
    Bleu Oleander: lol
Eden Haiku: I usually sleep well, but sometimes it just eludes me...
Eden Haiku: Darks souls can't sleep, it is well known:)
Riddle Sideways: eludes is the right word
Riddle Sideways: falling asleep is not so much a problem
Riddle Sideways: falling asleep, then having to wake up on the couch with the football game long over and having to get up with stiff neck and go to bed
    Riddle Sideways: is an issue
Bleu Oleander: are you a football fan?
    Riddle Sideways: not much
Riddle Sideways: it was just an example
    Bleu Oleander: :)
Eden Haiku: The football game must have been boring :)
Riddle Sideways: even sitting in an easy chair reading
Riddle Sideways: waking hours later with stiff neck
    Eden Haiku: Reading TSK maybe?
    Bleu Oleander: :)

    Last TSK session on Thursday

    Eden, Riddle, Bleu & Adams.jpg

Eden, Riddle, Bleu and Adams talking about results of their TSK investigations

    Riddle Sideways: ummmm, yep
Bleu Oleander: this week is our last TSK session
Riddle Sideways: gosh, have missed so many
Eden Haiku: Yes, did people choose an exercise we will focus on?
Bleu Oleander: I don't think so
Riddle Sideways: is there a test?
    Bleu Oleander: lol
Bleu Oleander: what project will we do next?
Eden Haiku: No test Riddle. But Eliza was thinking of having us do an exercise on the spot. I guess I will at least read the exercises. No way I can catch up...
Bleu Oleander: its really an ongoing process, so anywhere you are is ok
    Riddle Sideways: good
Bleu Oleander: was it a good experience going through the book again for you?
    Bleu Oleander: hi Adams :)
    Riddle Sideways: hi Adams
Eden Haiku: Good morning Adams :)
Adams Rubble: Good morning Eden, Bleu and Riddle :)
Bleu Oleander: we're talking about TSK Adams
Riddle Sideways: yes, Adams don't put your dress in the water
    Adams Rubble: ahhhhhh
Adams Rubble listens to discussion about TSK
Eden Haiku: And sleep and maybe new projects? Do you have one Bleu?
Riddle Sideways: ha, did not even noticed when Bleu took off shoes (that were in the water)
Bleu Oleander: even virtual water feels funny with boots on :)
    Eden Haiku: It does!
Riddle Sideways: wondering what book or project to do next
    Riddle Sideways: any suggestions?
Bleu Oleander: have been thinking ....

    A poetry workshop?

Eden Haiku: I was contemplating the idea of having a poetry workshop at these Monday morning sessions. Not sure yet. I have to see how flowing is my schedule in the Fall...
Bleu Oleander: oh that sounds nice Eden
Eden Haiku: Have to find a way to translate RL poetry workshops into virtual poetry workshops though...
Riddle Sideways: just forming prose sentences is hard at 7am. Poetry might impossible
Bleu Oleander: perhaps you could write them at 2am Riddle?
Eden Haiku: You are a natural poet Riddle, I don't think it would be a problem :)

The results of our TSK investigations

Adams Rubble: What do you feel was the result of your TSK investigations?
Bleu Oleander: good question Adams :)
Eden Haiku: Or maybe creating stories together. We did that once, it was so much fun!
Bleu Oleander: I'm not sure I could articulate a result
Eden Haiku: For me, TSK was much fun. I enjoyed experimenting with new ways of seeing things in my daily life.
Bleu Oleander: yes, I too enjoyed the imagination stretching exercises and visualizations
Eden Haiku: I still see the giantess in deep space :)
    Bleu Oleander: :)
Riddle Sideways: many times there was a revisiting of old experiences, experiments, times
    Riddle Sideways: spaces
    Riddle Sideways: maybe knowings
    Eden Haiku: Maybe:)
Riddle Sideways: yes, there are giant bodies at 1300meters
Bleu Oleander: I heard a talk on yoga-sutra the other day that sounded very similar to TSK
Eden Haiku: remembers figments of others' experiences with great delight.
Bleu Oleander: are you familiar with that?
Adams Rubble: This morning I have been thinking of ignorance as a series of veils of ignorance that obscurate our ability to see clearly
Eden Haiku: Yoga-sutra, not exactly no, what is it?
Eden Haiku: That is so beautiful Adams! Almost a poem :)
Riddle Sideways: yes, a series of veils, Adams. That was what dream was
    Bleu Oleander: http://meaningoflife.tv/videos/36229
    Bleu Oleander: interesting talk

    --BELL--

Eden Haiku: "Veils of ignorance after veils of ignorance/ They obscure our clear vision" (rephrasing Adams)
Eden Haiku: Thanks for the link Bleu. I know Patanjali by name but can't remember anything. Maybe he's the one who wrote about the "emptiness"...

    Do we ever think clearly?

Bleu Oleander: I don't think we ever think clearly ... always an interpretation based on our past memories and experiences, biases
Riddle Sideways: Veils of ignorances, all the way down
Adams Rubble: be back, rl interruption
Eden Haiku: I trust there is a way to pierce the veils of ignorance, for seconds only maybe but still...
Riddle Sideways: to glimpse Great unVeiledness ? :)
Bleu Oleander: well we are always in our heads so I question the metaphor of "piecing" although I recognize that there are moments we feel clarity
Eden Haiku: We can bypass our memories and experiences I think, and connect with our higher Self.. Some people do,. Most people do I think. Once in a while,
    Bleu Oleander: oops, "piercing"
Eden Haiku: Are we always in our heads? No, I don't think so. Sometimes we fly away...
Bleu Oleander: I don't feel like I have a higher self, I know some people do
Riddle Sideways: Aha moments, satori, piercing
Eden Haiku: Don't you feel you are part of the Universal Soul Bleu?
Bleu Oleander: yes aha moments for sure
Adams Rubble: I think TSK is meant to work us through the veils of ignorance :)
Eden Haiku: Yes, as most Tibetan Buddhist texts are :)
Bleu Oleander: I feel I am part of the universe, deeply embedded
    Adams Rubble: yep Eden
Eden Haiku: That is what I call the Higher Self.
Eden Haiku: Part of the universe, deeply embedded,
Bleu Oleander: ah ok ... an embedded self?
Riddle Sideways: and stuck in the Lower Self
Bleu Oleander: so more of a way of describing the same thing?
Eden Haiku: The embedded self is embedded in some Universal Soul isn'it?
Riddle Sideways: sings "stuck in the middle you"
Bleu Oleander: I don't describe it as a soul
Eden Haiku: In the middle you :)
Eden Haiku: For me everything is alive, stars and rocks and oceans. Same soul.

¨I contain multitudes¨, a book by Ed Yong

Bleu Oleander: a great new book, "I contain multitudes" by Ed Yong ... we're going to meet him tomorrow
    Eden Haiku: Oh nice :)
Bleu Oleander: it will change the way you think about yourself
    Eden Haiku: Beautiful title.
    Bleu Oleander: yes
Eden Haiku: Reminds me of the zen saying : "To see the universe in a grain of rice"
Bleu Oleander: fun to read a book and then meet the author :)
    Riddle Sideways: yes, fun
Riddle Sideways: am amazed at some of the shows on NPR
Bleu Oleander: heard some good ones lately?
Riddle Sideways: the host reads 1-2 books a day and meets/interviews the authors
Riddle Sideways: that might be Bleu's great job
Bleu Oleander: hmmm, I definitely couldn't do that
Bleu Oleander: one a week maybe :)
    Eden Haiku: :)

    --BELL--
