Wol Euler: I'm still running 4.7.7 of Firestorm, can't be bothered to upgrade now
Qt Core: Linden 4.04.whatever was mandatory, upgrade or die

Wol Euler: well, yeah, even Firestorm does that sometimes :) for security-related fixes, usually
Qt Core: A new graphics preset chooser appeared near the audio/volume control
Wol Euler: firestorm has a "quick prefs" dialog, with a really wonderful feature: a slider for time-of-day i.e. sun position
Wol Euler: which you can nudge along in roughly quarter-hour increments using the arrow keys
Qt Core: not a bad idea for having a photo high quality preset a normal one and a crowded people let reduce the drawing distance one (or at least that is what i suppose it is)
Wol Euler: to get just the perfect sunset light quality on that beach :)
Wol Euler: mmhmm
Qt Core: yes, they have redone the graphic settings panel
Qt Core: there is no more the no avatar physics level, only low
Wol Euler: that seems an odd decision :)
Wol Euler: were they worried that they might be sued by people hit by flapping bits?
Qt Core: no, the lowest level is low, not none
Qt Core: so one can't opt out from bouncy bos

Qt Core: i'll happily spend cpu cycles for trees, don't know about bobs i'm usually too zoomed out to appreciate that ;-)

Wol Euler: funny, that, I usually turn landscape down
Wol Euler: but most boobs that *do* bounce exaggerate it far too much IMO

Qt Core: yeah, there aren't so many of them in RL if not women exercising at gyms or parks, maybe dancing in discotheques but that's even more alien to me than gyms

Qt Core: and that is why i used not to wear glasses while at the gym, some can be very distracting

Wol Euler: oh how is the bicycle riding going? Are you still working on that?
Qt Core: not much this year
Qt Core: i think that i even let my gym subscription fade just in these days
Qt Core: i need to renew motivations to exercise
Qt Core: and i often end thinking that a technology solution may solve that (as if)
Qt Core: i thought that i may need a new bicycle... anded up buying some new... beach style plastic recliners for the garden!

Qt Core: and i keep thinking that if a buy a good pair of headphones i will start going put to walk/powerwalk for hours each day (again... as if)
Wol Euler: why not?
Qt Core: there are those great Bose headphone on display (and to try) at a nearby tech shop... but damn, 300 euros!
Wol Euler: ah
Wol Euler: I find my Apple earbuds quite good enough for walking around. I don't want to be entirely cut off in perfect music, I *want* to hear street noises around me so I don't walk in front of a car.
Qt Core: a 40/50 euro pair may be undistinguishable for a non audiophile like me, but those aren't testable there
Qt Core: i think i've seen headphones with mics on them to distinguish between background noise that they will cancel and other sounds (like someone calling you) that they will in some way let pass
Wol Euler: hmmmmm
Wol Euler: yes, noise cancelling
Wol Euler: I have a pair of those for the airplane, they work really well. But there's no traffic to walk in front of on an Airbus
Qt Core: and noise choosing, maybe they can let you add the voiceprints of people you want to ignore... ;-)

Qt Core: i'm trying to convince myself (at least for this 2016/2017 season that i have to exercise to keep up with the tour de force that my trip in the USA will be, at least not to be a burden to travel mates when walking around
Wol Euler: good point, and surely a good incentive!
Wol Euler: think how much better that eclipse will look from a hilltop instead of down in the valley hidden by trees :)
Qt Core: i was thinking more about not fainting walking along the Strip in Las Vegas ;-)
