Qt Core: quite good, the seaside vacation with my sister was a success

Wol Euler: it's Autumn here, as of Thursday :) the hot humid weather finally broke
Qt Core: yesterday morning was autumn here too, then summer storm in the afternoon and now a shiny sun
Wol Euler: well mixed :)
Wol Euler: so, tell me about the holiday in Cattolica :)
Qt Core: i don't know if it was really a genius stroke of the hotel broker or just luck but we were moved to an hotel just a dozen meter from the ramp needed to access the beaches from the seaside road (where both hotels resided)
Qt Core: that is as we discovered the first day that moving with the wheelchair would be way better than by (her) feet

Qt Core: the other ramp was some 100 meter away
Qt Core: there was a little bad weather but we visited the local aquarium when it rained and the port and shopping streets when it was just cloudy

Qt Core: i even got a trace of a tan (something many would just call a non ill complexion ;-))

Qt Core: but as i almost never stay much under the sun i call just not got burned a success

Qt Core: i realized that the Riviera Romagnola Hotel Association is NOT recommended by the Italian Dietologists association ;-)

Qt Core: we will probably be back in a couple years... as i just got some crazy plans for the 21 August 2017 eclipse in the USA

Qt Core: but we will go like this: Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Grand Canyon, Lake Powell,Bryce Canyon,Salt Lake City,Yellowstone,Boise,Madras, Crater Lake and San Francisco, all in 13 days and 4550 km

Wol Euler: typical American holiday
Wol Euler: people made jokes about how American tourists would spend a fortnight on a bus seeing dozens of European cities, but that is just how they do their holidays.
Qt Core: the kind you need an holiday after it to get some rest

Qt Core: if i would get the summer vacation i plan to ask i'll have almost a week home before going away and ten days before going back to the office

Qt Core: i think i need to start to plan... spending some (more) money on it (digital camera and luggage need some serious upgrade)
Wol Euler: yes, true, I don't know whether you've been on a bus holiday like that before, but one real problem is that you need lots of clothes, you may not have a chance to wash them
Qt Core: and i may need a new passport too ;-), mine, if not expired surely is not a chipped one as USA require now

Wol Euler: oh and you must get the ESTA entry permit. It's easy, online, takes only a day, but you must have it in advance

Wol Euler: unless you have the same name as a terrorist, in which case you'll be taken off the plane and kept in a secret prison for a decade until they figure out the mistake

Qt Core: i stopped a few minutes thinking if i wanted to be in a country led by someone like Trump ;-)

Wol Euler: he certainly has a great talent for making lies and stupidity seem believable
Qt Core: the strength/appeal of proposing simple solution to complex problems

Qt Core: as the starting of the courses at the local library is approaching i'm wondering what i may need more, the photography one or the conversational (as in spoken) english one ;-)
Wol Euler: english practice might be a good idea
Wol Euler: though you get plenty of that here :) just not spoken
Qt Core: if only this year the times would change, i looked at those last year and i could not plan around it
Qt Core: yes, read and write it daily, spoken less than 30 minutes in past let say 20 years
