The Guardian for this meeting was Agatha. I had just woken up, and was still feeling a bit disorientated.

    Agatha Macbeth: Hello Stormy
    Storm Nordwind: Hello!
Agatha Macbeth: Not sure if anyone's coming
Storm Nordwind: I think you're right
Storm Nordwind: I am a figment of your imagination
Agatha Macbeth: I thought Liz said she would, perhaps I got it wrong
Storm Nordwind: I know her course is unrelentingly busy for her
    Agatha Macbeth: Oh dear
    Agatha Macbeth: Hope you're OK
Storm Nordwind: Not too bad thank you, though I'm not feeling full of imagination myself this afternoon
    Storm Nordwind: ;)
Storm Nordwind: What is happening in your world at the moment?
Agatha Macbeth: Maybe it's something you need to be in the mood for
    Agatha Macbeth: Not a lot
Storm Nordwind: No news being good news?
Agatha Macbeth: It started raining again
    Storm Nordwind: Good!
    Storm Nordwind: I think
Agatha Macbeth: Yes except the lawns will grow now
Storm Nordwind: And someone energetic will have to cut them?
    Agatha Macbeth: Mm
    Agatha Macbeth: Actually I will
Storm Nordwind: Thankfully I left that problem or joy behind 9 years ago
    --BELL--1.15
    Agatha Macbeth: Lucky you eh
    Storm Nordwind: Laziness FTW :)
    Agatha Macbeth: Yes
    Agatha Macbeth: Probably
Storm Nordwind: Are people thinking about books again, or is that not happening at the moment?
    Agatha Macbeth: Er
    Agatha Macbeth: Not sure
Agatha Macbeth: I was under the impression we were going back onto books
    Storm Nordwind: Yes
Agatha Macbeth: But hadn't decided on one yet
Storm Nordwind: I'm reminded of an old Dilbert cartoon from 1989
Agatha Macbeth: Maybe a lot of people are just on holiday and stuff
    Storm Nordwind: True
Agatha Macbeth: Oh I remember him
Storm Nordwind: Dilbert's dog, Dogbert sits on a pillow and thinks, "Maybe I should write a book." Then he thinks, "Nah . . . Maybe I should just read a book." Then he amends that as he walks through the house, "Maybe I'll just read the tv guide . . . Maybe I'll just watch whatever's on and turn into pudding . . ."
Agatha Macbeth: Wol used to post him on FB sometimes
    Agatha Macbeth: Hehe
    Agatha Macbeth: Dogbert yes
    Agatha Macbeth: And his boss
Storm Nordwind: He of pointy hair
    Agatha Macbeth: Right
Agatha Macbeth: I used to like Sabrina Skunk
Agatha Macbeth: Must see if that's still going
Storm Nordwind: Was that the one who was nervous she might not be fed with ice cream?
    Agatha Macbeth: Hm, not sure
Agatha Macbeth: She used to appear in my old amiga magazine
    Agatha Macbeth: Years ago
Storm Nordwind: Have you ever tried writing - a cartoon strip, or a story or poetry or a screenplay... etc. ?
Agatha Macbeth: Stories yes but no good at drawing so not cartoons
Storm Nordwind: Stories? Sounds interesting. :) Anything about them you could share?
Agatha Macbeth thinks of Max Bygraves
Agatha Macbeth: Oh not really, I never finish them
    Storm Nordwind: Oh! What happens?
Agatha Macbeth: Always seem to get distracted
Agatha Macbeth: Too much to do maybe
Agatha Macbeth: Like cut lawns :p
Storm Nordwind: Is it something you'd like to develop a little though? Or is it just an occasional release or expression?
    Agatha Macbeth: Hm, release yes
Agatha Macbeth: I wish I could paint or play something
Storm Nordwind: I'm doing an 8 week free course with the OU starting in September. It's called "Start Writing Fiction". That might help get me going.
    Agatha Macbeth: Ah good
Agatha Macbeth: Think Zen did an OU thing
Agatha Macbeth: I remember the programmes for that
Storm Nordwind: He did. I've just completed a poetry one with Manchester Metro and am doing a Screenwriting Into at East Anglia right now.
Agatha Macbeth: The Irish guy with long hair in black and white teaching maths
    Storm Nordwind: *intro
Agatha Macbeth: Isn't that a railway or something?
    Storm Nordwind: ?!
    --BELL--1.30
    Agatha Macbeth: Metro...oh probably not
Agatha Macbeth: Was thinking of Paris
Storm Nordwind: Oh I see. Manchester Metropolitan University. Manchester Writing School to be specific.
    Agatha Macbeth: Oh I see
Agatha Macbeth: Is that in Colorado?
Storm Nordwind: There are still places on the 8 week OU fiction writing course if you'd like to think about joining... ;-)
Agatha Macbeth: I don't have time to be honest Stormy
    Storm Nordwind: Fair enough
Agatha Macbeth: Something you have to be in the mood for...

                     2.jpg
    Agatha Macbeth: Yay
    Agatha Macbeth: Here she comes
    Storm Nordwind: Hullo!
Eliza Madrigal: My goodness, very sorry!
    Agatha Macbeth: No need
Eliza Madrigal: I was working on an assignment that I'd intended to be done with by 3 (It is 4:33 here now)
    Agatha Macbeth: Yes, happens
    Eliza Madrigal: indeed happened
Agatha Macbeth: Time and motion wait for no woman
Eliza Madrigal: thanks for being here though! what are we talking about?
    Agatha Macbeth: Just idle chatter
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
    Eliza Madrigal: sounds perfect
Agatha Macbeth: Are we having another book?
Eliza Madrigal: Would like to, but not yet. Another film?
    Agatha Macbeth: As in discussing...
    Agatha Macbeth: Or film yes
Agatha Macbeth: Either would be applicable
Agatha Macbeth: Maybe best to wait til everyone is back
Storm Nordwind: I suggested writing a book instead, like Dogbert, but that degenerated into turning into pudding.
Eliza Madrigal: heheh, yes I'm reading (Ty Storm for the note)
Eliza Madrigal: I feel like pudding at the moment
Bleu Oleander: 's current display-name is "Bleu".
Eliza Madrigal: I once tried to collaborate with 50 women on a book
    Agatha Macbeth: What flavour?
Bleu Oleander: hiya, sorry to be late :)
    Agatha Macbeth: Hello Bleuji :)
    Storm Nordwind: Custard!
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Bleu :)
    Storm Nordwind: Hello Bleu!
Eliza Madrigal: screen writing course sounds interesting
Storm Nordwind: It is, but very different from anything else I'm doing
Eliza Madrigal: maybe a good thing, each may ventilate the others
    Eliza Madrigal: ?
    Storm Nordwind: Possibly
Agatha Macbeth: Ventilation is good at this time of year
Storm Nordwind: There’s structure and discipline to screenwriting than I haven’t been used to before.
Storm Nordwind: The eventual success of your work is dependent on so many other people. I’m used to success being dependent on me only, myself setting the rules as I go along.
Agatha Macbeth: I wouldn't be much good at it then :P
Eliza Madrigal: you have to chop a lot down, dont' you?
Storm Nordwind: Yes and no. You have to think about things in a whole different way.
    Agatha Macbeth: Like a lumberjack
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Storm Nordwind: And the screenwriter does not and cannot act alone. They are just one part of a team.
Agatha Macbeth: There is no I
    Storm Nordwind: screenwr-I-ter
    Agatha Macbeth: Hm
Eliza Madrigal: My son took one course in screenwriting and I wish he was the type to tell me everything about it as he went along. What I did learn from him was interesting
Storm Nordwind: Anyway, we'll see. It's only an intro
Eliza Madrigal: they had to act each others plays out every few weeks
    Storm Nordwind: Cool
Agatha Macbeth: Someone said to Michael Jordan 'There's no I in team' and he replied, 'But there's M and E'
Storm Nordwind: The thing is acting isn't enough. Otherwise you can just write for stage.
Eliza Madrigal: he made enigmatic comments like yours too along the way
    Storm Nordwind: haha!
    Agatha Macbeth: Enigma variations
Storm Nordwind: We think that the audience for a stage play is rooted to their chair at a fixed angle and distance from the stage
    Storm Nordwind: *Well think
Storm Nordwind: But in a screenplay, you move the camera, control voiceovers etc
    Agatha Macbeth: Yes
Eliza Madrigal: On Having Ten Heads
Agatha Macbeth: Wonder how Shakespeare would have coped?
    --BELL--1.45
Eliza Madrigal: Quiet, Bleu. How are you?
Bleu Oleander: fine thanks, just listening :)
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Bleu Oleander: have never attempted to write a screenplay :)
Agatha Macbeth: You have other talents :)
Bleu Oleander: tho often wondered as reading a novel, how I would do it
Bleu Oleander: adapting from a novel is a different animal than what you're talking about I would assume?
Eliza Madrigal: somewhere to start for inspiration at least
Storm Nordwind: So far yes. I'm sure techniques are similar, minus creating the story arc, characters... you know that trivial stuff ;)
    Eliza Madrigal: lol
Storm Nordwind: Eliza, I'm intrigued by your new garden 'furniture'. Is there something you can share about it? :)
    Bleu Oleander: :)
    Eliza Madrigal smiles
    Bleu Oleander: zooms out
Agatha Macbeth: I saw the bubbles
Eliza Madrigal: It is dreamy and whimsical, but so far just strewn about
Agatha Macbeth: Wondered what they were
Eliza Madrigal: I was making a spot to "saturate"
Storm Nordwind: I like dreamy and whimsical :)
    Agatha Macbeth: Me too
Eliza Madrigal: Once of my favorite things when the village first was being developed, was that sky whale...
Storm Nordwind: Will not make any old fashioned references to 'dreamboat' ;)
Eliza Madrigal: do you remember that? I think it was Gayas?
    Eliza Madrigal laughs
Eliza Madrigal: It IS a dreamboat :) made for lulling about
Bleu Oleander: missed the sky whale
Agatha Macbeth: I remember her moon...I used to sit on it
Eliza Madrigal: It was a blue whale, floating and flipping in the sky
Eliza Madrigal: Hm, not remembering the moon
Agatha Macbeth: Not a sperm whale then
Eliza Madrigal: On the beach, she had a dragon bed artist's thing I'm probably not remembering right... but I loved that 'out of context' feeling
Eliza Madrigal: makes SL feel like a place with different rules
Eliza Madrigal: so trying to stir a little of that feeling :)
    Bleu Oleander: nice :)
Agatha Macbeth: Most of old Bieup seemed out of context
Agatha Macbeth: Why I liked it
    Eliza Madrigal: true :)
Bleu Oleander: I don't know why many don't create new rules in sl
Agatha Macbeth: The different plots really brought out people's individuality
Eliza Madrigal: Do you remember, maybe it was Corvi's area, that was all mangroves?
Eliza Madrigal: not sure Bleu, RL fatigue maybe :)
Storm Nordwind: I think I planted them originally
    Eliza Madrigal: Really?
Eliza Madrigal: I thought that was the neatest feeling... all damp and swampy
    Storm Nordwind: Right
Storm Nordwind: I cultivated that look
    Eliza Madrigal: I *loved* that
    Bleu Oleander: me too
Eliza Madrigal: haven't seen anything like it since
    Storm Nordwind: No.
Eliza Madrigal: Then again, I don't get around much
Eliza Madrigal: some of the artist areas experiment more perhaps
Eliza Madrigal: Anyway, I keep thinking, SL is supposed to be a dream-like place...stirs RL sense of wonder
Storm Nordwind: Talking about art, I recommend following @Curator@Mastodon.ART as they're the admin of the instance and they boost all the good stuff that's happening there. Almost never need to follow anyone else!
Eliza Madrigal: learning to build discourages me sometimes, so I stop, and then bringing to light any ideas feels hard and disappointing. I don't seem to have the patience for it.
Eliza Madrigal: Oh, okay. I'm making note. I haven't looked there in a short while with all the political/legal news lately :)
Storm Nordwind: Maybe you haven't your medium yet
    --BELL--2.00
    Bleu Oleander: mindfulness is needed
Eliza Madrigal: medium of building doesn't seem to be SL... but sometimes I'm good at buying stuff, hehe
    Storm Nordwind: Haha!
Storm Nordwind: I'm sorry I will have to go now. Thank you for your company :)
Eliza Madrigal: you've won the lottery every day in SL
Bleu Oleander: bye Storm take care
    Agatha Macbeth: TC Stormy
Eliza Madrigal: Nice to see you Storm, bfn
    Agatha Macbeth: Bon apetit
Eliza Madrigal thinks of ways to break rules in SL
Agatha Macbeth: Did I see Luci left her job?
    Eliza Madrigal: yup!
    Agatha Macbeth: Wow
    Agatha Macbeth: That's surprising
Eliza Madrigal: She has a busy and dynamic family life, lots to do
Agatha Macbeth: She seemed to love it so
    Agatha Macbeth: Ah maybe
Bleu Oleander: did she retire or just looking for something else?
Eliza Madrigal nods... she mentioned feeling a little displaced, which makes sense when going through a transition
Eliza Madrigal: I believe she retired
    Agatha Macbeth: Ah
Agatha Macbeth: Maybe the time was right
Eliza Madrigal: maybe time for more chickens :))
Agatha Macbeth: She can concentrate on the chickens now
    Agatha Macbeth: Snap
    Eliza Madrigal: snap, hah
    Bleu Oleander: :)
Eliza Madrigal: maybe she can have some SL chickens
    Eliza Madrigal: floating
Agatha Macbeth: You need chopsticks in that hair Liz
    Eliza Madrigal: in space
Eliza Madrigal: :) funny story of this hair...
    Bleu Oleander: :)
Eliza Madrigal: last night I arrived at the meeting I attend most Wednesdays, and my complexity was over 600,000
    Eliza Madrigal: couldn't be seen...
Eliza Madrigal: so I begin changing things one by one
    Agatha Macbeth: Lord
    Bleu Oleander: complexity happens :)
    Eliza Madrigal: hair was 500,000!
    Eliza Madrigal grins at Bleu
    Agatha Macbeth: Good grief
Agatha Macbeth: No wonder you changed it
Eliza Madrigal: It was very long and I guess very expensive.... extensions
    Eliza Madrigal: ;-)
Eliza Madrigal: so this is much much less, but yes, needs 'something'
    Agatha Macbeth: Yes, quite
Agatha Macbeth: Or put a ribbon round it
    Bleu Oleander: or flowers
Eliza Madrigal: the hairline is odd, too
    Eliza Madrigal: ah, maybe flowers
    Agatha Macbeth: Yes
Bleu Oleander: flowers can help a hairline :)
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
    Agatha Macbeth: Hairline fracture
    Eliza Madrigal: badumbump
Agatha Macbeth: Sounds like the name of a dwarf
Eliza Madrigal: that I 'wanted' to buy and strew all that dream stuff out though, is encouraging
Eliza Madrigal: I haven't really played in a while
Agatha Macbeth: Playing is always good
Bleu Oleander: now just do it with your hair lol
    Eliza Madrigal laughs
    Agatha Macbeth: Hair bubbles
    Eliza Madrigal: there's an idea
Eliza Madrigal: Oh, I was thinking to plan a GM for mid September
    Agatha Macbeth: Nice
    Bleu Oleander: good idea
Eliza Madrigal: does that seem right? By then Stevie should have received more donations and have a follow up report
Eliza Madrigal: maybe everything squared away
    Bleu Oleander: seems about right
    Agatha Macbeth: Sounds fair
Agatha Macbeth: When is next WG?
    Eliza Madrigal: not sure, hm
    Bleu Oleander: not sure :)
Eliza Madrigal: I'm going to have to start setting multiple alarms on multiple devices
    Agatha Macbeth: 'Definitely maybe'
Eliza Madrigal: I get so caught up in what I'm doing, like today
    Eliza Madrigal: time zips
    Bleu Oleander: September date TBD
    Agatha Macbeth smiles
    Eliza Madrigal: ty Bleu
    Bleu Oleander: yw :)
Agatha Macbeth: Teach George to bark at relevant moments
    Eliza Madrigal: Oh sure
Eliza Madrigal: we did teach him to do the snoot challenge today
    Eliza Madrigal laughs
Eliza Madrigal: It might be hard for a big puppy like Zoey, but some cute videos online
Agatha Macbeth wonders what that is
Bleu Oleander: would love to teach Zo some tricks but she thinks she's the alpha
    Eliza Madrigal: :))
    --BELL--2.15
Bleu Oleander: interesting she watches youtubes more closely than reg tv
    Eliza Madrigal: she likes TV?
Bleu Oleander: only when we watch youtube videos on tv
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Bleu Oleander: they much seem more real to her
    Eliza Madrigal: Try this one:
Eliza Madrigal: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1L8kdOleLNY (hope you can see this)
Bleu Oleander: haha! looks just like her!
Eliza Madrigal: was fun to teach him, we used blueberries
Bleu Oleander: I'll play it for her
Bleu Oleander: oh she LOVES blueberries
Agatha Macbeth thinks of rotting logs
Eliza Madrigal: then perfect, George too :))
Bleu Oleander: this will make her day!
    Eliza Madrigal: ^.^
Eliza Madrigal: Now Agatha has to run out and get a dog
    Bleu Oleander: :)
Agatha Macbeth: I can't have pets
Eliza Madrigal: no? not where you live, or allergic?
Agatha Macbeth: Can't stand to lose them
    Eliza Madrigal: awww, pobrecita
    Eliza Madrigal: that I understand
Bleu Oleander: ah yes, same with people too
    Agatha Macbeth: Po...what?
Eliza Madrigal: :) means 'poor little thing' or something close to that - a sweet Spanish word
Agatha Macbeth: Yes but animals are cuter than people
    Agatha Macbeth: Oh right
Agatha Macbeth: Thought it was an illness or something
Eliza Madrigal: I have been warding off the "Hm, I hope somebody has a baby sometime" feeling
Eliza Madrigal: since my kids could not be less interested :)
Agatha Macbeth: Well somebody's bound to eventually :p
    Eliza Madrigal laughs
Bleu Oleander: give it some time :)
Eliza Madrigal: it passes. Really, I don't want to give them expectations like that... think it is just normal pangs from friends' having grandchildren lately
Agatha Macbeth: You're too young for a grandmother
Eliza Madrigal: and cause I can't get more dogs
    Bleu Oleander: :)
Bleu Oleander: nice to see you both ... gotta get going ... take care
Eliza Madrigal: I think it just normal to have feelings that crop up and go away, and to notice them and think, "hm, there's that."
    Agatha Macbeth: BFN Bleuji
    Eliza Madrigal: Bye Bleu, gtsy
    Bleu Oleander: bye bye
Agatha Macbeth: Shall we look at your garden?
Eliza Madrigal: Sure, come along :))
