    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Skippy
    Agatha Macbeth Lizhugs
Agatha Macbeth: Hey I'm not a kangaroo
    Eliza Madrigal: you are not
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Eliza Madrigal: but you skipped in
Agatha Macbeth: Why are we on the wrong side today?
Eliza Madrigal: Is there a right side of a circle?
Agatha Macbeth: We always sit the other side
Eliza Madrigal: Find a spot you're cozy in and I'll move :))
    Agatha Macbeth: This works
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
    Agatha Macbeth: Ah furniture eh
    Agatha Macbeth: How is we?
Eliza Madrigal: doing well, after a morning of overthinking and anxiety
    Agatha Macbeth: Oh dear
    --BELL--1.00
Agatha Macbeth: Thinking can do that
Agatha Macbeth: I try to avoid it
Eliza Madrigal: an intensive course like I'm taking brings all one's 'stuff' to the surface sometimes
Eliza Madrigal: perfectionism, lack of confidence, etc
Bleu Oleander's current display-name is "Bleu".
    Bleu Oleander: hey :)
Eliza Madrigal: (which, btw, choose one or the other, not both, hah)
    Agatha Macbeth: Not *stuff* ahhh
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Bleu :)
Agatha Macbeth makes the sign of the cross
    Agatha Macbeth: Hello Bleuji
    Eliza Madrigal smiles
Bleu Oleander: how are you both?
    Agatha Macbeth: The dreaded stuff
Eliza Madrigal: How's it going Bleu?
Bleu Oleander: pretty good here, you?
Agatha Macbeth: Liz has been thinking apparently...notgood
Eliza Madrigal: I'll just post what I'd said before...
Eliza Madrigal: Eliza Madrigal: an intensive course like I'm taking brings all one's 'stuff' to the surface sometimes Eliza Madrigal: perfectionism, lack of confidence, etc Bleu (Bleu Oleander): hey :) Eliza Madrigal: (which, btw, choose one or the other, not both, hah)
    Bleu Oleander: yes I'm sure
Eliza Madrigal: have a bit of a pattern of letting anxieties spiral before just giving up and turning in my assignments, only to find out they were just fine
Eliza Madrigal: but each time I am sure I was horribly wrong
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
    Bleu Oleander: :)
    Agatha Macbeth: What's it about?
Eliza Madrigal: legal things... learning to write all the official papers in the right way, locate jurisdictions and locate court rules, etc
Eliza Madrigal: I can 'write' things, but getting all the details right is daunting at times
    Agatha Macbeth: Oh dear
Agatha Macbeth: The detail is in the detail
Eliza Madrigal: have to learn so much so fast
Bleu Oleander: I thought about that field many years ago ... but layed down until the feeling passed LOL
    Eliza Madrigal laughs
    Agatha Macbeth: Wise
Eliza Madrigal: I'd like to lay down now but I'm too far in
    Eliza Madrigal giggles
    Bleu Oleander: :)
Agatha Macbeth: A bridge too far
Eliza Madrigal: Hm, what else is going on?
Bleu Oleander: not so much here this summer
    Eliza Madrigal: just hot :)
    Eliza Madrigal: no interesting salons?
    Bleu Oleander: here meaning PaB
Bleu Oleander: very busy in rl with salons etc
Eliza Madrigal: actually, Adams just added a session, which is nice
    Agatha Macbeth: Yay
Agatha Macbeth: Great to see her back
Bleu Oleander: when is Adams session?
    Eliza Madrigal: it is!
Agatha Macbeth: Sadly not one I can get to
Eliza Madrigal: Without Adams I never would have been this involved with PaB... taught me nearly everything about hosting and the wiki
Agatha Macbeth: Wednesday at 7 AM I think
Eliza Madrigal: this week, but not sure if it will be wed or thurs going forward
    Agatha Macbeth: OK
    Bleu Oleander: ok thanks
Eliza Madrigal: and she has been going over old blog posts in an interesting way... which then somehow triggered blogger to remind me of one I thought I'd closed. It has been so interesting to read
Agatha Macbeth: We must go forward I suppose
Agatha Macbeth: Always fun reading the old stuff
Eliza Madrigal: found many snippets I saved from Stim and the Ways of Knowing group
    Agatha Macbeth: Mm
Eliza Madrigal: lots of humor, excitement
Eliza Madrigal: felt good to read over :)
    Agatha Macbeth: Yes
Bleu Oleander: if you come across a link you can share, do pls
Eliza Madrigal: Mostly it was excerpts I kept, wish I'd kept them all
Eliza Madrigal: If you had anything you dreamed for PaB, what would it be?
Bleu Oleander: perhaps a rl version
Eliza Madrigal: *could have anything (maybe better phrasing)
Eliza Madrigal: Ah, me too, definitely
    Eliza Madrigal: short of that?
Bleu Oleander: maybe a once a month local group would be nice
Bleu Oleander: you mean for pab in sl?
Eliza Madrigal: yes, I'd love to imagine PaB in RL, but we'd all need helicopters and private planes :))
    Bleu Oleander: :)
Agatha Macbeth: And a better bell
    Eliza Madrigal laughs
Eliza Madrigal: the gong heard round the world
    --BELL--1.15
Eliza Madrigal: PaB RL isn't impossible really, but would take lots of small pilot groups
Eliza Madrigal: and each of those groups would be different
    Bleu Oleander: yes
Bleu Oleander: but that would be ok I think
Eliza Madrigal: so how to agree on 'what IS PaB?' We've never been able to!
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Agatha Macbeth: Not sure even Pema knew that
    Eliza Madrigal smiles, true
Bleu Oleander: well, investigating reality is fairly loose so could vary

                        2.jpg

    Johny remembered us...

Johny Malheur: 's current display-name is "Johny Merveilleux".
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Johny
    Johny Malheur: hey all
    Bleu Oleander: hi Johny
Agatha Macbeth ponders a loose reality
Eliza Madrigal: you're welcome to join us. I think you've visited before, but maybe not for a while?
    Johny Malheur: yes
    Agatha Macbeth: Hello there
    Johny Malheur: some time ago
    Bleu Oleander: keep reality loose
Eliza Madrigal: we were just imagining what PlayasBeing might look like, if it was a collection of RL groups
Agatha Macbeth: Hm, why a collection?
    Bleu Oleander: like a franchise?
Agatha Macbeth: Sounds morelike the NFL :p
Johny Malheur: what is loose reality?
Eliza Madrigal: Collection of loose gems
    Bleu Oleander: no helmuts
    Agatha Macbeth: Ach nein
Bleu Oleander: loose reality maybe means open mind about what reality is perhaps?
Eliza Madrigal: 'collection' just for continuity... so maybe a thread that ties the loose realities together in playful ways?
Johny Malheur: shouldnt we try to be precise rather
Agatha Macbeth: When we do that it never seems to work somehow...
Eliza Madrigal: Are you able to be precise about how to explore the nature of reality?
Johny Malheur: loose sounds quite cloudy
Bleu Oleander: we can certainly try to be precise, but also realize that what is precise to us today may change
Eliza Madrigal: PaB has always been spacious... really careful to give lots of room for people to explore in their own ways
Bleu Oleander: the standard model is pretty precise but dark energy maybe not so much :)
    Eliza Madrigal smiles
    Agatha Macbeth: Spacious indeed
Bleu Oleander: that's what I liked about PaB
    Eliza Madrigal: me too
Eliza Madrigal: Even when I was reading over my old posts, and looking at how hard I was working to be disciplined in my daily practices, etc., I liked exploring as a group here, where I was never allowed to take myself too seriously
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Johny Malheur: spirituality can also be studied as a science
Agatha Macbeth: I remember whenever we defined something Ara would say 'why are you defining again?'
    Agatha Macbeth: Bless her
    Eliza Madrigal: :) yes
Eliza Madrigal: What would be your approach to that Johny?
    Johny Malheur: define things
Johny Malheur: to know what we are meaning
Bleu Oleander: spirituality is many different things to different people
Johny Malheur: of course everyone has his/her own way
Eliza Madrigal nods, you can define things within categories, but then a group like this, lots of categories come together
Eliza Madrigal: Even in vedic vs. buddhist traditions, 'self' has different but complimentary meanings
Eliza Madrigal: then in psychology, more definitions, etc
Johny Malheur: does that lead to anything
Johny Malheur: if everyone means different things
Bleu Oleander: self has as many meanings as spirituality
    Johny Malheur: hm
Eliza Madrigal: a playful atmosphere a lot of the time, pretty deep friendships
Johny Malheur: but there is only one reality
Bleu Oleander: I think there are many but depends on how you define reality
Johny Malheur: i mean real real reality
    Eliza Madrigal: mhm :)
    Eliza Madrigal listens
Johny Malheur: and many perspectives to it
Agatha Macbeth: Fake reality might be just as interesting
Eliza Madrigal: Sure, you could approach that way, respect for many perspectives
    Eliza Madrigal grins at Agatha
    Bleu Oleander: virtual reality
    Eliza Madrigal: !
    Eliza Madrigal: metaphors
Bleu Oleander: my reality vs everyone elses :)
    Eliza Madrigal: reality distortion fields
Johny Malheur: my idea is that i want to dig deeper in that reality
Johny Malheur: to do that one needs a map
Agatha Macbeth: See how deep the rabbit hole goes?
    Johny Malheur: yes
Eliza Madrigal: What has been your path of eploration so far?
Johny Malheur: and one needs tools for that
    Eliza Madrigal: exploration*
Bleu Oleander: who would design the map?
Agatha Macbeth: A red pill maybe
Johny Malheur: tools that are nor uselful after they have used
    --BELL--1.30
Johny Malheur: but real when used
    Johny Malheur: definitions
    Johny Malheur: conscepts
Johny Malheur: as a helping tools
Eliza Madrigal: Exploring in open ended ways doesn't preclude exploring in precise ways, does it?
    Johny Malheur: no
    Johny Malheur: both are needed
Johny Malheur: otherwise i feel drifting
Eliza Madrigal: There is this quote, hm, Eos used to say... maybe Padmasambhava... about view being wide as sky and actions being find as flour... something like that
    Johny Malheur: sorry gotta go
    Eliza Madrigal: fine*
Agatha Macbeth can relate to that
    Eliza Madrigal: OK, ntsy Johny!
    Agatha Macbeth: Aww
    Johny Malheur: bye all:)
    Eliza Madrigal: Bye :)
    Bleu Oleander: bye Johny
    Agatha Macbeth: Au revoir
    Agatha Macbeth: A rare visitor
Eliza Madrigal: that was fun ^.^
    Bleu Oleander: :)
Bleu Oleander: I don't see too many passing through here anymore
Eliza Madrigal: I don't think many do
Eliza Madrigal: but I like when it happens... always feel perked up
    Bleu Oleander: yes :)
Agatha Macbeth: Maybe we need to advertise :p
Bleu Oleander: I think Steve was
Agatha Macbeth: Trouble is then we'd need to define who we are :P
Eliza Madrigal: haven't seen a log from Stevie in a while, wonder if still attending?
Bleu Oleander: and getting some new visitors
    Eliza Madrigal: haha, yes Agatha
Eliza Madrigal: what are we advertising? :) "Come and not define reality"
    Agatha Macbeth: Indeed
Bleu Oleander: come and talk to us
    Eliza Madrigal smiles
Agatha Macbeth: Back to franchises maybe
Eliza Madrigal: I think maybe I'm not actively exploring anymore... like, I could always give pointers to specific explorations and ideas before, usually pema's, that we were working with as a group... but when I do that now it feels I'm pushing something
Eliza Madrigal: I like "come talk to us" though :))
Bleu Oleander: I still explore every day ... perhaps not as PaB did but lots of valid ways to explore
Eliza Madrigal: always learning, always exploring, but hm, bringing to the group as a basis for 'our' exploring is a little different
    Bleu Oleander: yes
Bleu Oleander: but seems to have run its course in some ways
Eliza Madrigal: always a question, but then, we don't end it :))
Eliza Madrigal: it is endless, in one way or another
Agatha Macbeth: And we just paid the tier remember
    Eliza Madrigal grins
Bleu Oleander: we don't end our getting together, but the PaB practice doesn't seem to keep our attention any more?
Eliza Madrigal: I like being here sort of aimless sometimes, and focused at other times
    Bleu Oleander: yes
Eliza Madrigal: that's a good way of saying it Bleu
Bleu Oleander: fun to check in
Eliza Madrigal: also I think there is something deep that is still stirred, still inspires
Bleu Oleander: still fun to discuss a specific topic, book, video, etc.
Eliza Madrigal: like ground that has enduring nutrients that we plant in, though not as often

    PaB dances?

Agatha Macbeth: We could have more dances
    Eliza Madrigal nods
Bleu Oleander: we have a shared history
Eliza Madrigal: Zen would like to
    Eliza Madrigal nods
Eliza Madrigal: and regard. I have high regard for PaBers
    Bleu Oleander: yes
Agatha Macbeth: PaBers have a high regard for you too
    Bleu Oleander: :)
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Eliza Madrigal: Zen just needs someone to play host for dances, he has said
Agatha Macbeth: What would a host do?
Eliza Madrigal: so just to pick a time and send notices and invites, I think
Eliza Madrigal: and be there to greet folks
Eliza Madrigal: It can be simple sometimes
Agatha Macbeth: Well I could do that
    Bleu Oleander: done!
    Agatha Macbeth: (I think)
Eliza Madrigal: I believe that's all that's needed?
    Eliza Madrigal: YES
Bleu Oleander: hostess with the mostess!
Eliza Madrigal: The time has to conform to his times, but that's not too hard
    Agatha Macbeth: Mostess what hehe
    Eliza Madrigal laughs
    Bleu Oleander: 11-ish I think?
Agatha Macbeth: Yes I know he needs a regime
    --BELL--1.45
Agatha Macbeth: Think his carers arrive about 1-ish SLT?
    Agatha Macbeth: Something like that
    Bleu Oleander: yes
    Eliza Madrigal: yes
Agatha Macbeth: So would need to be earlier
Eliza Madrigal: He doesn't want to do more than about an hour I think
Eliza Madrigal: outside of our big celebrations
    Agatha Macbeth: That's fair
Bleu Oleander: an hour is good
Eliza Madrigal: I think so too
Agatha Macbeth: He might even play Rrrrrrriiiiiiiiiiiiiiiicccccccccco
Eliza Madrigal: I rarely stay in SL longer than that these days... maybe 90 minutes most
Eliza Madrigal: I hope not :)
    Bleu Oleander: ha!
    Agatha Macbeth: Awwww!
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Bleu Oleander: we have an interesting salon tonight
Eliza Madrigal: I thought it was fun to dance in the Stonehenge that time
    Eliza Madrigal: Oh?
Agatha Macbeth: Well we have that area up top, would be good to use it
    Agatha Macbeth: Oh
    Eliza Madrigal: true too
Bleu Oleander: interesection of entertainment, technology and social entrepeneurship
    Agatha Macbeth: Ah
    Eliza Madrigal: how so?
Bleu Oleander: didn't mean to interrupt party talk :)
Bleu Oleander: we do have lots of areas
    Agatha Macbeth: You didn't
Eliza Madrigal: not at all, am interested
    Agatha Macbeth: Yeh
Bleu Oleander: our presenter is a developer of vieo games
    Agatha Macbeth: Ooh
    Bleu Oleander: video
    Agatha Macbeth: Inderesting
Bleu Oleander: games that help understanding of world and cultures
    Agatha Macbeth: Sounds good
    Eliza Madrigal: sounds wonderful
    Bleu Oleander: yes
    Agatha Macbeth: Learn through play
Eliza Madrigal: I observed with my kids, how much they learn if simply interested
    Agatha Macbeth nods
Agatha Macbeth: Getting them interested is the key
Eliza Madrigal: daughter played something called World Explorer... knew so much so fast
Eliza Madrigal: but I'm not sure what modern versions of that are!
    Bleu Oleander: http://neveralonegame.com/
Agatha Macbeth: Interactive is nearly always effective
Eliza Madrigal: someone tweeted recently, that games like neopets went a long way toward getting kids, including girls, interested in coding, etc....that more is needed along those lines, just playful not teachy
    Eliza Madrigal clicks
Eliza Madrigal: hm, taking a long time to load for me
    Bleu Oleander: ok (for later)
Eliza Madrigal: (long time being 2 minutes, hah)
    Bleu Oleander: haha!
Eliza Madrigal: okay, here it is
    Eliza Madrigal looks
Bleu Oleander: anyway, I'm looking forward to it
    Eliza Madrigal: looks sooo beautiful
    Bleu Oleander: yes!
Eliza Madrigal: too bad you don't post transcripts of your salons
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Bleu Oleander: yes we get asked that a lot
Bleu Oleander: but the salons are like sand paintings
    Eliza Madrigal smiles
Bleu Oleander: happen in the moment
Eliza Madrigal: can see that... I doubt we'd post too many RL-PaB logs, if we had those kinds of meetings
Eliza Madrigal: closest thing is prob. retreat reports
Eliza Madrigal: but just one person's view
Bleu Oleander: everyone takes away different memories
Eliza Madrigal: At first I thought you meant, by intersection of entertainment, etc., the way everyone is blending their personal social media with their businesses, etc.
    Agatha Macbeth: Hm
Bleu Oleander: seems once you write it down it freezes
Bleu Oleander: that's an interesting subject too
Agatha Macbeth: Writing is frozen ideas
Eliza Madrigal: for RL I sort of like the model of about 10 minutes 'lecture' or topic intro, then open season
Eliza Madrigal: the intro could be logged in some way
Bleu Oleander: yes that's close to what we do
Eliza Madrigal: that's what Piet did at IAS too I think
Bleu Oleander: we do link to people's websites etc that gives a good intro in most cases
    --BELL--2.00
    Eliza Madrigal: true
Bleu Oleander: must get going ... nice to see you both
Eliza Madrigal: nice to see you both
    Agatha Macbeth: Bye bye Bleuji
Eliza Madrigal: enjoy the evening :)
    Agatha Macbeth: Love to doggie
    Bleu Oleander: bye bye :)
Agatha Macbeth: Well we covered a few interesting things there
Eliza Madrigal: yup! great session today
Eliza Madrigal: thank you for hosting!
    Agatha Macbeth: You hiz wellllcome
Eliza Madrigal: Now I have to fold laundry... more fun
    Eliza Madrigal grins
    Agatha Macbeth: Oh yay
Agatha Macbeth: More fun than watching paint dry
Eliza Madrigal: dog is mad at me because he's on a diet
    Agatha Macbeth: Aww
    Agatha Macbeth: Smaller bones?
Eliza Madrigal: but if I let him get fat, it will hurt his back
    Agatha Macbeth: Those little legs
Eliza Madrigal: funny though, that he is emotional enough to get mad at me
Eliza Madrigal: hiding under the bed half the day and not coming immediately when I call him out
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Agatha Macbeth: As long as he doesn't go for your ankle
    Eliza Madrigal: :) ferocious
    Agatha Macbeth: Fearsome George
Eliza Madrigal: guess we all can be when hungry
    Agatha Macbeth: Yeh
Agatha Macbeth: But he has sharper teeth
    Eliza Madrigal: hah
    Agatha Macbeth: Woof bark crunch
    Agatha Macbeth: Anyway...
    Agatha Macbeth: Bye the noo
Eliza Madrigal: was trying to take cute photos, hah
    Eliza Madrigal: bye for now
Agatha Macbeth: Photos of me are always cute :p
    Eliza Madrigal: not untrue :)
