The Guardian for this meeting was Eden Haiku

Alone at the pavilion for the first few minutes, I started talking to our excellent PaB Master Listener.

Eden Haiku: Wondering if I can share my grand-niece wishes here.I made a 7 seconds video.
Eden Haiku: Sending it to Vimeo
Eden Haiku: Hosted a New Year party with my family, It's been wonderful.
Eden Haiku: Four grandnieces and two grandnephews aged 8 months to almost 5 years old.

Eliza shows up in a marvelous long red evening dress

    Eden Haiku: (((Eliza)))
    Eliza Madrigal: (((Eden))) Hello!
Eden Haiku: Thank you for the champagne punch!
Eden Haiku: Beautiful red dress, very festive!
Eliza Madrigal: oops, I just took it :) haha this is such a funny pose...
    Eliza Madrigal: >whew< better
Eliza Madrigal: you look edgy today
    Eden Haiku: Skates :)
Eliza Madrigal: How was your party?
Eden Haiku: I was telling the Listener it was great!!!
    Eliza Madrigal: Congratulations!
Eden Haiku: We even accomplished some exploit! Took a picture of the 6 toddlers and babies all together!
    Eliza Madrigal: wow
    Eliza Madrigal: that's difficult!
    Eliza Madrigal: rare chance
Eden Haiku: Had to tell their fathers to leave the couch (they tend to love to prefer the most comfortable places)
    Eliza Madrigal laughs
Eden Haiku: When I spotted the 6 of them in the same room (a rare occasion, they walk now, most of them! so they get around a lot!)
Eliza Madrigal: that's really lovely Eden, so happy for you all
Eliza Madrigal: a friend took a photo of her niece on her first sleigh ride.... cutest little girl, 8 mo old and no hair at all but a huge smile. I keep thinking about the photo - pure bliss
Eden Haiku: We sat the babies in their brother's or sister's arms but let's say they are not picture perfect!
Eliza Madrigal: that might have been impossible :)

    --BELL--

A karmic bank account of respect for the bell

Eden Haiku: We managed a few good photos and all lots of fun! The whole session lasted about 3 minutes :)
    Eliza Madrigal: haha
Eden Haiku: hello Riddle, how are you?
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Riddle!
    Riddle Sideways: hi All
Riddle Sideways: sorry to be late
Riddle Sideways: must make coffee first
Eden Haiku: No problem Riddle, please :) Happy New Year to both of you!!!
Eliza Madrigal: me too... was walking the dog in the first chilly weather of the season
    Riddle Sideways: yes, happy New
Eliza Madrigal: Happy New year! :)
Eden Haiku: Ah, chilly here too. Minus 20....
Eliza Madrigal: Here it is probably no lower than 65*F, but I'll take it
Riddle Sideways: probably not minus for Eliza
    Eliza Madrigal: surely not :)
Eden Haiku: Congratulations guys! We didn't talk on the first bell of 2016 at this Monday morning session!
    Riddle Sideways: yay
    Eliza Madrigal: ::::claps for us::::!!
    Eden Haiku: **********Applause!!**********
    Eden Haiku: **********Applause!!**********
Eliza Madrigal: so we've earned our words before the next pause
    Eden Haiku: Indeed :)
Eden Haiku: How were your holidays Eliza?
Riddle Sideways: build up the karmic bank account?
Eliza Madrigal: yes that's it :)
Eliza Madrigal: subdued, but pleasant, ty
Eden Haiku: loves Eliza's serpent emeralds :)
Eliza Madrigal: it didn't feel very holiday-y...quite hot, but we had a few visitors and a little hoopla here and there
Eliza Madrigal: I sort of miss the large gatherings sometimes, that we used to attend
Eden Haiku: Is your grandfather still well?
    Eliza Madrigal: he isn't :(
    Eden Haiku: Sad...
    Riddle Sideways: :(
Eliza Madrigal: he is unable to drive more than to the store and back, and has quite a few health issues now...
Eden Haiku: He is in his eighties isn't he?
Eliza Madrigal: and he lives 2 hrs away, so it hasn't been easy to see him as much as I should
    Eliza Madrigal: yes 86
Eliza Madrigal: before recently he only took one aspirin daily...quite healthy
Eden Haiku: He lived a long life though :)
    Eliza Madrigal: yes :)
Eliza Madrigal: what I hate is the negativity and tinges of depression... not easy for him to lose certain freedoms
Eden Haiku: What about you Riddle, how where the holidays?
Eden Haiku: Old age depression, yes, that,s difficult...
    Riddle Sideways: /listening
Eliza Madrigal: that's all, thanks :)
    Eden Haiku: ;)
    Riddle Sideways: k
Bleu Oleander: 's current display-name is "Bleu".
    Bleu Oleander: hi all :)
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Bleu :)

    Do wap do wap

Riddle Sideways: holidays were low key, but gone on for a long time
Eden Haiku: Good morning Bleu :)
    Riddle Sideways: since thankgiving
    Riddle Sideways: hi bLeu
Eden Haiku: A long stretch of festivities...
Riddle Sideways: one after another it seems
Riddle Sideways: NYE played in a local saloon, knew almost everybody, but had no lead singer
Riddle Sideways: so had to step up and sing
    Riddle Sideways: bad idea
Eliza Madrigal: :))) how long had it been since you did that?
    Riddle Sideways: :D
    Bleu Oleander: :)
Riddle Sideways: usually just the backup singer (do wop do wap)
    Eliza Madrigal thinks that's terrific
Eden Haiku: Your 15 minutes of glory Riddle, was it ?
Riddle Sideways: the recording differs with your compliments
    --BELL--
Eliza Madrigal: better live, mixed with the NYE spirits :) Can't judge by recording
    Eden Haiku: **********Applause!!**********
    Eden Haiku: **********Applause!!**********
Riddle Sideways: why do we trust an audio recorder device to be an actual recorded history of reality?
Eden Haiku: Both for Riddle solo and for the bell!
Eliza Madrigal: or even a chat log? ;-)
    Eden Haiku: Good question!
Riddle Sideways: it is only one set of ears
Riddle Sideways: (2 in the bank)
    Eliza Madrigal giggling
    Bleu Oleander: :)
Riddle Sideways: Bleu, how where your holidays
Bleu Oleander: great most of the time ... sad re my puppy
    Riddle Sideways: yes :(
Eden Haiku: Oh yes, so sorry...
Eden Haiku: My niece lost her cat between Christmas and New Year...She was sad too...
    Bleu Oleander: but mostly good
    Eliza Madrigal: :(
Eden Haiku: But then she is fighting breast cancer, so she has mourning priorities...
    Eliza Madrigal: oh dear
    Bleu Oleander: oh more serious!
    Eliza Madrigal: mourning priorities, hmmmm
Riddle Sideways: pondering "mourning priorities" as a bad phrase
Eden Haiku: She's so brave though. Has a lot of support from her husband and her parents,
Bleu Oleander: bad phrase yes ... relative perhaps?
Eden Haiku: Yes, I didn't mean it that way, sorry... I know how painful it is to lose a four legged companion...and I totally empathize with Bleu ...

Bleu Oleander: just meant that perspectives matter
Eliza Madrigal: feels real, that phrase, but also difficult.... reminder of the way sometimes life doesn't wait until you have fixed one thing before bringing another
    Bleu Oleander: yes
Eliza Madrigal: want to organize it better :)
Bleu Oleander: even mourning becomes a balancing proposition
    Eliza Madrigal nods
Eden Haiku: (I edit out a long sentence I said, giving away too  much personal details. Not only my English is rusted, I also find myself lost in respect to the fine line between SL and RL).

    States of grace

Eliza Madrigal: once I read a log where Eos had written about states of grace one doesn't realize they are in until retrospect...
Eliza Madrigal: health is like that
Bleu Oleander: not sure what "grace" means actually
Bleu Oleander: or states of grace either
Eden Haiku: Health yes. We should be grateful every morning for our health :)
Eliza Madrigal: when things are going so well that you are unaware..is how I read that... or like so confident that not self-conscious
Bleu Oleander: yes good health for sure we should enjoy while we have it
Eden Haiku: How was the TSK meeting by the way?
Eliza Madrigal: well, I talked on and on
Riddle Sideways: listening to Ken Wilber right now and he seems to think you can know your current State at the time
    Eliza Madrigal: how so, Riddle?
    Riddle Sideways: am not sure
    Bleu Oleander: :)
Riddle Sideways: knowing what state you are
    Eden Haiku: Interesting...
    Riddle Sideways: is a introspection
    Riddle Sideways: that might interrupt
    Riddle Sideways: the current state
Bleu Oleander: not sure one can know all the states one is in at any given time
Riddle Sideways: maybe a Heisenger(sp?) principle
Eliza Madrigal: checking to see if the souffle (sp?) is done?
    Bleu Oleander: souffle?
Riddle Sideways: can't measure without affecting
Bleu Oleander: envisions a chocolate souffle
Eden Haiku: So many of us in each of us:)
Eliza Madrigal: if you check a souffle you can ruin it
    Riddle Sideways: same principle
    Eliza Madrigal nods
    Eden Haiku: I see
Bleu Oleander: now wanting chocolate ha ha!
Riddle Sideways: [first talking during bell of monday 7AM 2016]

    --BELL--

    Eliza Madrigal: haha
    Bleu Oleander: lol
    Eden Haiku: hey hey
    Bleu Oleander: guilty as charged
Eliza Madrigal: a practiced chef might be able to judge the souffle by aroma (okay i'll stop that analogy now)
Eden Haiku: Chassez le naturel, il revient au galop..
Bleu Oleander: killing me with the souffle thing ... lol
    Eliza Madrigal: hahha
Bleu Oleander: need to find one for lunch ha ha!
Riddle Sideways: so checking a souffle is the same as checking your statee
    Bleu Oleander: unless its chocolate
Bleu Oleander: then totally destroys state :)
Eden Haiku: No, the souffle analogy is very telling...The Heisinger cat as well. Cat both dead and alive?
    Riddle Sideways: Heisenberg (thanks Google)
Riddle Sideways: uncertainty over doneness of souffle
Eden Haiku: Heisenberg yes... saw something really funny about it recently. Can't remember,,,
    Riddle Sideways: giggles

    Chocolate pie indeed

    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Eliza Madrigal: Eden what did you make for the party? (my reality has a lingering warm chocolate sensation now too)
    Bleu Oleander: :)
Eden Haiku: Salmon Koulibiac and cranberry chutney with mustard seeds and curcuma and chocolate pie indeed:)
    Bleu Oleander: mmmm yummy
    Eliza Madrigal: tres fancy
    Riddle Sideways: ah,
Riddle Sideways: at least some chocolate in there
    Eliza Madrigal: :))
Eden Haiku: The sad face of my 6 foot 3 nephew when he realized the spice bread puppet cookie was not for him but for his daughter :) He's not a child anymore, poor thing ...
    Eliza Madrigal: awwww!!
Eliza Madrigal: that is close to heart right now.... just traded beds with my son who outgrew his!
    Riddle Sideways: oooo
Eden Haiku: He's the one who used to imitate the Teletubbies with me :) We are both very childish ...
    Bleu Oleander giggles
    Eliza Madrigal: tinky winky.... lol
Eden Haiku: Wow! your baby is too tall for his bed!
Eliza Madrigal: yes :(, but also :)
Eden Haiku: Laa Laaa was always my favorite :)
    Eliza Madrigal grins
Eden Haiku: He is still your baby boy isn't he?
    Eliza Madrigal: so much
Eliza Madrigal: I put my head on his shoulder comfortably this morning... was cute
    Eden Haiku: Sweet...
    Bleu Oleander: awww
Eden Haiku: When my mother died her giant grandson collapsed on the kitchen floor, crying like a baby...
Eden Haiku: Oh, what a tender gesture Eliza :)
Eliza Madrigal: size doesn't protect from sorrow :(
Bleu Oleander: life pushes back sometimes

    --BELL--

Riddle Sideways: in the state of Being baby and adult at the same time?
Riddle Sideways: not just one by calendar
Eden Haiku: He gave my mother beautiful first name to his baby girl: Évangéline
Eliza Madrigal: that is, such a beautiful name!
    Riddle Sideways: beautifaul name
    Bleu Oleander: indeed
Eliza Madrigal: so strange to think that there are these children that we aren't anymore, yet are
    Riddle Sideways: exactly
    Riddle Sideways: almost
Bleu Oleander: still are on some level
    Eliza Madrigal: :)))))
    Eden Haiku: Exactly almost....
    Eden Haiku: Exactly almost still...
    Riddle Sideways: thatz about right
Eden Haiku: The states we are in...
Riddle Sideways: or think we are in
Eden Haiku: And the state of grace
Eden Haiku: Fragments of selves and then the elves of the Self
Riddle Sideways: this child thinks it does not matter what the name is
Eliza Madrigal: finding my inner Eden...? Bleu? Riddle ? :))
    Eden Haiku: My inner Eliza?
    Riddle Sideways: My inner Bleu
Eden Haiku: Eden isn't my real name (confession)
    Eliza Madrigal giggles
    Riddle Sideways: lol
Bleu Oleander: interesting to imagine the states we've created from our friends at PaB
    Eden Haiku: True
Eliza Madrigal: sometimes my inner eliza comes out into stephanie's world and I'm usually happy with the results ;-)
Eden Haiku: I have a strong inner Boxy...
    Bleu Oleander: ha ha!
    Eliza Madrigal: hah!
    Riddle Sideways: yes
Eden Haiku: As well as a persistent CosmicFlower...
    Eliza Madrigal: whimsically blooming
Bleu Oleander: alt states are in there too
Riddle Sideways: would like to be an inner Sunshine and Pema at the same time
Eden Haiku: Ah yes, bridging the gap Eliza, between Steph and her...
    Eliza Madrigal: :::boggles:::
Eliza Madrigal: lots of energy in that concoction
Eden Haiku: Interesting combination Riddle,: beautiful music of the spheres!
Eliza Madrigal: was so powerful he was knocked offline
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
    Bleu Oleander: ha!
Bleu Oleander: some states are just too much!

(As you guess, Riddle had poofed...)

    Eliza Madrigal: hehehe
Eden Haiku: Just too much , poor RIddle he poofed in Neverland...
Eliza Madrigal: I feel very full and happy now.... nourished and ready to take on the day :)
Eden Haiku: Well, I might as well, Have to buy a cake, A friend is coming over tomorrow to celebrate the Thee Wise Men with us. Kings Day it's called is it?
    Eliza Madrigal: Oh yes, nice!
    Eliza Madrigal: 5th day

    Eliza Madrigal: three Kings
Bleu Oleander: we celebrate with cakes :)

    --BELL--

Eliza Madrigal thinks of Grace Jones singing Little Drummer Boy at Pee Wee's playhouse, not easy to shake that image :))
