    Agatha Macbeth: Good moaning Wollie
    Agatha Macbeth: Hello QT
Agatha Macbeth: Think Wol is AFK
    Qt Core: Hi Agatha, Wol
Agatha Macbeth: No response yet :p
    Wol Euler: back :-P
    Agatha Macbeth: Probably meditating
    Wol Euler: good morning
    Agatha Macbeth: Hello back :)
Wol Euler: qt, why aren't you at the gym? :)

Qt Core: wondering about a RL AFR tag (away from reality)
    Wol Euler: heheh
Qt Core: woken too late for this morning
    Agatha Macbeth: Hehe
Wol Euler: some people use earplugs for that
    Agatha Macbeth nods
    Wol Euler: awwww
Qt Core: bad week for the gym, too late some days not healthy on others... no gym this week
    Wol Euler: oh boo
    Agatha Macbeth: Arr gym lad
Agatha Macbeth: You look fit enough to me QT :)
Qt Core: and low probability to go there until tuesday
    Wol Euler sighs.

    --BELL--

Qt Core: i tried many SL eons ago to have a fat av, it was ugly, very ugly, even worse than the RL one
    Agatha Macbeth: Aww
Qt Core: unrealistic more than ugly
    Wol Euler nods.
Agatha Macbeth: I find most male avs in SL unsatisfactory
    Agatha Macbeth: If not all
Qt Core: and in RL ? ;-)
Agatha Macbeth: They all look like gorillas for some reason
Agatha Macbeth: Can't find any decent clothes for them either
Wol Euler: it's the video game effect
Wol Euler: shoulders broader than their waist-to-top-of-head height, head smaller than their biceps

Agatha Macbeth: And I've yet to see a convincing male AO
Agatha Macbeth: They seem to think everyone wants to be a gangsta or something

Wol Euler: people take that shape here because they're used to being in that shape in games
    Agatha Macbeth nods
Agatha Macbeth: I would be a tiny or furry before I'd be male
Qt Core: more or less hidden who would not like power, even if the lesser physical form
Wol Euler: one of the aspects of GuildWars2 that I liked was that they had some variety of bodyshapes. The guys were not all professional steroid swallowers and the women didn't all have inflatable boobs
    Agatha Macbeth grins
Wol Euler: pity that the gameplay sucked :)
    Qt Core: :-)
    Agatha Macbeth: Can't have everything
    Wol Euler: yup
Wol Euler: and plenty of people do love it
Wol Euler: most of hte Fracture crowd plays it (togehter)
Agatha Macbeth: Makes a change from dancing
    Wol Euler nods.
Wol Euler: there's dancing in GW2 as well, of course
Wol Euler: just not as configurable as here
    Agatha Macbeth: There is?
    Wol Euler: sure, /dance
Wol Euler: makes you dance (alone, on the spot, one set of dance moves per gender and species)
    Agatha Macbeth: Good heavens
Agatha Macbeth: Do they orcs do it too?
Agatha Macbeth: Must be a bit like the café scene in Star wars
Wol Euler: only player characters dance, NPCs don't except in rare circumstances
    Agatha Macbeth: Curse those NPCs

Qt Core: now i'm thinking about musical movies and the absurdities of people starting to dance in the streets... and no one calling some good psychiatrist
    Wol Euler: ha, yes
    Agatha Macbeth: Fame!
Wol Euler: well, every other movie too
    Agatha Macbeth: Platoon?
Wol Euler: at least up until say 1980-ish
Wol Euler: that was the other
    Agatha Macbeth: :P
Agatha Macbeth: 'OK guys, let's level this village then start dancing'

    --BELL--

Agatha Macbeth lifts up Wol's hair and blows in her ear
Qt Core: the perfection of Fred Astaire and the more natural and more lively moves of Gene Kelly (yes, there was a time when i liked musical movies)
Agatha Macbeth: Singing in the rain
    Wol Euler: oy
    Agatha Macbeth: Vay

Wol Euler: So, this weekend is the PaB retreat.
    Agatha Macbeth: I know :p
Wol Euler: Those taking part (looks at Aggers pointedly) are keeping in mind the notion of attending a retreat without actually leaving their normal life
Wol Euler: which isn't all that easy
Wol Euler: given the constant distractions and interruptions of "normal" life
Qt Core: like how a follower should live Lent ?
Wol Euler: though why being constantly interrupted should seem normal is an open question
Wol Euler: I guess so, yes

Agatha Macbeth: I'm lucky it's so quiet here
Agatha Macbeth: (Except for next door's dogs)
Wol Euler: great! a chance to practice Metta.
    Agatha Macbeth: Who's he?
    Agatha Macbeth: Mettamorphosis...
    Agatha Macbeth: Mettabolic
Agatha Macbeth: Metta late than never
    Agatha Macbeth: Wille zur Macht

Qt Core: the news around here are obviously centered around the EU elections, and as always i'm left wondering about the different "traditions" of voting
    Agatha Macbeth nods
Agatha Macbeth: Got to love the ballot papers
Agatha Macbeth: They musyt have chopped down half a forest to make them
Qt Core: for an example i can't imagine voting in a day different than the weekends

    --BELL--

Qt Core: then yesterday i've heard about voting in friday afternoon and saturday morning, in Prague if i remember it right
Agatha Macbeth: We always do it on Thursday
Qt Core: yes, it always surprise me
Agatha Macbeth: Why Thursday particularly I don't know
Wol Euler: make that your project for the weekend: find out why.
Qt Core: don't know if it is just habit of it have some merit but i think voting i the weekends give people more access to it
Agatha Macbeth: Yes it would make more sense
Agatha Macbeth: They wouldn't need to shut the schools for a start
Qt Core: we doo, from thuesday/friday to tuesday usually
    Agatha Macbeth nods
Qt Core: (mmm i've yet to find my electoral certificate...)
Agatha Macbeth: I can't get that silly Gwen Stefani song out my head
Wol Euler puts a straw into your ear and blows.
    Agatha Macbeth coughs

Qt Core: thiese are the lyrics of a song about election in italy, obviously from one of my favorite, Gaber: http://testi-di-canzoni.com/canzone/...e-le-elezioni/
Qt Core: the video here, if drm permits: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iSLT6S1dyV0
Wol Euler: oh yes, what a surprise :)
Qt Core: ouch, a computer translation...
Wol Euler: quite funny translation, in a sad way
Qt Core: the last couple lines are to be read like "i'm amost going to take it"
Wol Euler: that's a truly heroic nose he has.
    Qt Core: yes :-)
Agatha Macbeth: Looks like Al Pacino

Qt Core: i feel that weird feeling on election days, walking around on a festive day, less cars, less people, a different route
Qt Core: then many more people while reaching for the school i vote in

    --BELL--

Agatha Macbeth: Do you have to number yours?
Qt Core: whet, the ballot ? no
    Agatha Macbeth nods
Qt Core: just put an X somewhere and/or the names
Agatha Macbeth: Ah same as here then
Qt Core: this time we should put an x somewhere and up to three names, this year novelty is that the three names can't be all of the same sex
    Wol Euler: huh
Wol Euler: or what? all three votes are invalid?
Wol Euler: who dreamed taht up.
Agatha Macbeth: So if the candidates are all women, then...? :p
Qt Core: yes, only the x would count, if you put only two names they could be of one sex only

Wol Euler: perhaps I'm exceptionally cynical, but I think somebody is trying to "game" the election process
Wol Euler: I wonder who thought their party would benefit from people not casting three votes, or ballots being discarded
Qt Core: next election we will probably have to have cadidates list with a sex ratio of 50%
Agatha Macbeth: They should introduce orcs into it
    Agatha Macbeth: Dancing ones
    Wol Euler: right
Agatha Macbeth: 'Vote for me or I'll disembowel you with my sword'
    Agatha Macbeth: Gandalf for president
    Agatha Macbeth: Works for me
Qt Core: don't know, too busy, i'll orefer Samvise Gamgee ;-)
Agatha Macbeth: Will you be slaving over a hot computer today Wollie?
    Wol Euler: I will indeede
    Wol Euler: and tomorrow
    Agatha Macbeth: Aww
Wol Euler: only a half day, but then our "half days" are at least six hours long :/
Wol Euler: boss has no concept of time
Qt Core: his own too i hope
    Agatha Macbeth: Boss time knowledge
Agatha Macbeth: There you go- you could write a book called BTK
Qt Core: relativity of work time, vacation time shrink and working hours lengthens (if that is a verb)
    Wol Euler: jheheheh
    Wol Euler: it is

    --BELL--

Qt Core: one of the mystery of the english: language: where to put the 'h' in length (how many program compiles went wrong for that spelling horror)
    Agatha Macbeth: Parkinson's law
    Wol Euler smiles.
Qt Core: that's why i call all my length relate variable 'len' ;-)
    Agatha Macbeth: Good old Len
Wol Euler: my dears, I need to start getting ready for the day
Wol Euler: please continue to talk among yourselves
Wol Euler: and do remember the retreat today and tomorrow
Wol Euler: bye for now <3
    Qt Core: Bye Wol
Agatha Macbeth: Yes I'll be there tonight
    Agatha Macbeth: Ciao QT
Qt Core: even semi-festive days have to starte somewhere
    Qt Core: bye\
