    stevenaia Michinaga: Greeting eos
    Eos Amaterasu: Hello stevenaia
stevenaia Michinaga: thanks for dropping by, I must admit it has quite a few weeks since someone dropped by
Eos Amaterasu: speaking of dropping :-)
Eos Amaterasu: yes, thought I would drop in.... even in the midst of a Mozart aria
Eos Amaterasu: how is your day and evening?
stevenaia Michinaga: other than the farmer's market this morning, I was working most of the day
stevenaia Michinaga: and relaxing after dinner with corn and crabs
    Eos Amaterasu: hmm...
Eos Amaterasu: was also at Farmer's Market
Eos Amaterasu: and also spent a few hours working (work)

stevenaia Michinaga: we have some nice ones here with some extraordinary local food creations
Eos Amaterasu: local, more natural, less altered - direction I'm going in....
Eos Amaterasu: could imply entire life style, as this article suggests:
    Eos Amaterasu: http://www.theglobeandmail.com/globe-debate/the-real-reason-the-french-dont-get-fat/article18924862/
Eos Amaterasu: discussing how paying attention to the taste and flavour of food
Eos Amaterasu: means you have to hunt less for it through all the packaged and processed food, and so not eat a lot
    Eos Amaterasu: little portions
    Eos Amaterasu: separated by gaps
    Eos Amaterasu: where conversation happens
    Eos Amaterasu: and wine
Eos Amaterasu: in the middle of the day
    Eos Amaterasu: :-)
stevenaia Michinaga: not a bad way to spend your day
Eos Amaterasu: while waiting to spend your day that way, how to spend your day that way?
stevenaia Michinaga: fresh food is always more intense
Eos Amaterasu: oh, and that's the other thing (I made so many discoveries today)
    stevenaia Michinaga: :)
Eos Amaterasu: read an article on Tanya Tagaq, an Inuit throat singer who I first heard on the radio a few years ago, incredibly haunting and wild/untamed
stevenaia Michinaga: I hear such singing from central Asia once
Eos Amaterasu: talks about food, eating life, which in the arctic is largely animal life
stevenaia Michinaga: such a nice resonance to it
Eos Amaterasu: here's two links (to article and to short view for "Animism" album):
    Eos Amaterasu: http://www.theglobeandmail.com/arts/music/primal-scream-inuk-throat-singer-tanya-tagaq-is-like-no-one-youve-ever-heard-anywhere/article18923190/

    Eos Amaterasu: 4 l8r
Eos Amaterasu: btw, how's New York retreat possibilities?
Eos Amaterasu: I was at a concert of Tuvan throat singers in Halifax, once
    Eos Amaterasu: pretty amazing
Eos Amaterasu: (Tuva is this Mongolian place of horse-riding throat singers, that Richard Feynman wanted to visit)
stevenaia Michinaga: (listening) It was dificult finding a place as most are booked for the fall. perhaps a social meet-up
Eos Amaterasu: staying in a hotel or similar is fine, I think
Eos Amaterasu: I think it would be interesting to do a kind of RL syzygy, coincidence
stevenaia Michinaga: a day or so in the CIty, been too busy to focus on ot after the retreat locations were booked
Eos Amaterasu: playing as being, as it were
    stevenaia Michinaga: syzygy?
Eos Amaterasu: a coming together of stars
Eos Amaterasu: each doing its own kira kira
    stevenaia Michinaga: aww, yes
    Eos Amaterasu: twinkles

stevenaia Michinaga: perhaps I'll though out some dates in october and see where things converge
stevenaia Michinaga: perhaps we can make it be part of the "wrap up"
    Eos Amaterasu: or unwrapping :-)
stevenaia Michinaga: reflections on a 5 year experiment and next steps
    Eos Amaterasu: yes
Eos Amaterasu: also being in RL it would be its own thing
stevenaia Michinaga: see where the questionaire takes us
Eos Amaterasu: playing as how to play as being in the city
Eos Amaterasu: being and the city :-)
    stevenaia Michinaga: :)
stevenaia Michinaga: Play as Being in the CIty
Eos Amaterasu: play as being reality tourists through playing as being NYC tourists
Eos Amaterasu: do you feel it's worth keeping this time slot if no one comes (usually)?
stevenaia Michinaga: I am usually quite happy to be here now, and possibly wednesday too (my old slot)
stevenaia Michinaga: I am usually at a convenient location in RL to take those two spots w/o dificulty
stevenaia Michinaga: every now and them someone will wonder by
Eos Amaterasu: I feel okay about my Tuesday spot... it's a time and place for me to come and.... "be", or "be open", or whatever
Eos Amaterasu: in a sharable spot
stevenaia Michinaga: I wonder if SL is slowing down too
Eos Amaterasu: so it could be inclusive
Eos Amaterasu: mabye slowing down in anticipation of SL++ using Oculus Rift :-)
    stevenaia Michinaga: soon?
stevenaia Michinaga: didn;t FB buy them
Eos Amaterasu: oh, yes, I think so
Eos Amaterasu: I do believe SL participation has either flattened or lowered
Eos Amaterasu: but I find the idea of dipping in and out of virtual worlds to be very powerful
stevenaia Michinaga: It used to say how many were on when I loged on with the original viewer but I don;t think the stats are there on Firestorm
Eos Amaterasu: now that you mention it, I haven't seen that in a long time
Eos Amaterasu: but your'e right - I'm also a Firestorm user
Eos Amaterasu: I wouldn't mind a slightly earlier shift (like 6 pm SL time)

    --BELL--

stevenaia Michinaga: if things loosen up that could be an interesting approach, randomness
Eos Amaterasu: Yeah, rather than trying to fill pre-defined empty slots
Eos Amaterasu: you just create full slots
stevenaia Michinaga: just put on the Tanya Tagaq youtibe, amazing, how did you find that
Eos Amaterasu: radio is so wonderful in that you can hear music that just amazes you
Eos Amaterasu: and then years later you can find or see the performer - I saw her do her Nanook of the North performance earlier this year (Dead of Winter Festival in Halifax)
Eos Amaterasu: and then this Globe and Mail article on her appeared today
stevenaia Michinaga: watching Joan Jet at the R&R Hall of Fame induction doing Nirvana, not sure it works
    Eos Amaterasu: hmm
Eos Amaterasu: Well, think I will depart
Eos Amaterasu: Nice to spend some time with you, stevenaia
stevenaia Michinaga: thanks for stopping by, always appriciate your company
    Eos Amaterasu: Ciao!
